My husband and I have been coming here for years. A year ago I would have said that they serve the best Mexican food EVER. Not anymore. It's become a tourist trap for alcoholic beverages like most places here. Our food tasted as if it came out of the frozen section of Ingles market. My Chimichanga was basically a hot pocket covered in a cheese substance. The refried beans tasted as if they came from a can. My husbands fajitas were disgusting. So sad, I loved this place. Now we have to find a new favorite restaurant here.

Chips are super fresh, table-side guacamole is delicious, everything else leaves much to be desired. The Spanish style rice was seemingly from a box, it was dry, obviously reconstituted, and without taste. Refried beans were canned, and the chicken chimichanga consisted of a boneless chicken breast wrapped in a flour tortilla and soggily fried. All of dishes arrived cool and had obviously been sitting some time. The roof top deck offers a splendid view, easily the best on the strip, but that's the only redeeming quality.

We tried this place last night and were very disappointed. The place was busy, but still, there were some tables available. Some friends were already seated and we asked whether our tables could be joined together, but the hostess refused. She just could not be bothered.
We were given some plates that were not clean. I had to wipe some dirt off with my napkin.
We were also deterred from ordering the guacamole prepared in front of you, basically because they were busy and could not be bothered with putting up a show.
The food was not impressive and the service was really bad.

Horrible customer service, we did not get attended to appropriately which is what s expected of a restaurant. Do not recommend.

Took my kids here late one evening and was seating on the top deck. The server was great, the atmosphere was great the food was great. Did have some people sitting at the couch cussing up a storm, not good for me 9 year old, but manageable. However, the host approached our table after we ordered desert, with sun glasses on and proceeded to tell me that this table was reserved and the customer has been patiently waiting. I ask the gentlemen I was not aware of a reservation and would he like me to cancel my order, get my check and leave with my three kids. He said thats not what I am saying, I then asked him what he wanted me to do and her turned around and left. I have never been treated like this ever and he did this, FBI style, right in from of my kids. They it turns out there was a fireworks show, which we were going to watch from our hotel, and some locals wanted this seat. A couple was seated a table down and began starring at us while we tried to finish dinner and even held up his phone to show me something as if he was taunting me. Between the cigarette smoking. Because I was with my three children, I ignored this. The server was just embarrassed by this and the from desk was apologetic, but this event was unbelievable. I was enjoying a great dinner with my kids until this gentleman ruined it. This person needs to be let go as he does not understand who funds his paycheck. Other that that, every thing was great and I hope no one ever experiences this.

Brian on the rooftop is an awesome server. I recommend asking for him as your server.

Food was great...fresh tortillas made in-house...lots to love, but the service was rough...very slow, kept forgetting the orders and disappeared for quite some time...faster and more efficient service would have made this experience more enjoyable...

A little pricey for Mexican restaurant, portions extremely large, great view of the strip

If I could give zero I would! Seated quickly, drink order wrong. 15mins later after asking for correct drink again finally received it. Waiter disappeared... again. Had to ask another waitress for the beer we ordered. Received our queso (the only thing that was good that we ordered) 3mins before our meals came out. Rice wasn't fully cooked, taco order wrong, fajitas literally had 1 slice of onion and half a raw green pepper uncut with the steak, shredded chicken chimichanga was not shredded just a full chunk of chicken in a rubbery tortilla. GROSS! Will not return.

Watermelon margaritas and brisket enchiladas were amazing!

Where do I Even start ! Well my salsa bowl has dried queso cheese in it . Then my kids food came out so very cold . Service was terrible and slow ! & just to top it off both my kids got food poisoning from this place . I do not recommend this place at all !!

The atmosphere was awesome, loved the service. Only issue we had was something seemed off about the consistency of the salsa, maybe the brand.

Service was great and atmosphere. Food lacked the authentic taste. Was still good, just not a big fan of the taste.

This was a great surprise in what started as a pit stop for drinks and maybe some guac and chips. The smokey salsa they presented when we were seated was absolutely delicious! We ended up ordering an app sampler after seeing it delivered to a nearby table and split between three of us. The food was super fresh and they we're not stingy with the meet or toppings. We even split a Tres Leches cake for dessert which was phenomenal. We left stuffed, hydrated, and very satisfied. Will definitely visit again for a real meal the next time in town!

The staff was not very friendly. My husband was not able to eat any of his food. My meal was ok.

The food is nasty , I ordered tacos al carbon, (steak tacos ) ... it looked very presentable and good , I was so hungry and took my first bite , that steak tasted like if it was dipped in Mop water , it took my whole appetite away , I asked to be given another plate but this time I ordered chicken tacos , and they there OK .! Not too pleasant... not eating here again

She was one of the best I have ever had. From set up to service it was great. Thank you for making my special day easier. And the food was wonderful.

Live music, rooftop bar. What more could you ask for?

This place was very disappointing. First off the service was horrible and I felt like we were an inconvenience being there. Second was the tax they added to the bill. We all had a 25% "sales tax" on our bill? Out of 5 of us, only 2 where not locals. They have never seen that. 10% yes, because the sales tax is higher in that area but 25% is ripping people off. We also went to a few other places after than and ordered similar drinks with a ~10% sales tax. We also were at a bar with a bar tender we new and asked them about the 25% tax. She had never heard of that. Ripping people off and calling it tax is not right. It's a tourist area, I get that, but don't increase the "sales tax" to compensate for it. If you are not making enough money selling drinks, increase the price, people are going to pay it in tourist area.

Steer clear of this place, there are some many other places that don't rip you off.

Fun atmosphere and friendly staff, but the chips and hard shells have a really rancid taste, almost like a vomit aftertaste. The manager claimed it was because of the coconut oil they used, but I m not too sure that was the issue.

Fun,fresh,hot,authentic Mexican food! Great service,fun atmosphere, and some of the best salsa I've ever had ! Me and my husband make it a point to eat here every time we visit!! Well worth the price for what you get! My favorite place to eat!!

Definitely a fantastic place to eat. Probably one of the best in Gatlinburg. The wait will be long but they will take your number and you can go walk around until they text you and then you have time to get back so it's a very nice set up.

Went with a very large church group. The food was excellent but a little pricey. Our waitress was great! The checkout process takes a little too long though

We ate here twice on our vacation. Hands down the best Mexican food we have ever eaten. Rooftop seating was a great place to watch the cars cruise by on the street. Service was fantastic on both occasions. Highly recommend the Carne Asada. Come hungry!

Atmosphere is pretty cool. However the food and service are lacking. Probably the slowest bartenders in Gatlinburg.

We went to Burro Loco recently in Gatlinburg. We had a large party of 9. We were served promptly and had no complaints of the variety or quality of food . The salsa served , two choices of green and red , were weak. No spice or flavor at all . That was the only thumbs down .

Terrible service. Terrible food. Was not impressed at all with this place. Asked the waiter never came back to the table. It took 45 minutes to get the food and it sucked. The queso was awful and the chicken was chewy. It was a terrible experience and the staff sucks

Very delicious Mexican food. You can tell that the food is fresher. Our server Tony was super nice and checked on us regularly. Drinks were very tasty. You can also ride the mechanical Burro for $5 if you want to.

The food here was kind of bizarre. Chips and salsa were fine. Chicken tacos had fajita style veggies and lettuce and cheese. The chicken had clearly not been grilled, but had the consistency of microwaved meat. Unfortunately, there was also an unpleasant odor of fish that permeated everything. My daughter ordered nachos off of the kids menu ($8) and they served a handful of chips with some melted cheese. That's it. I spoke with a manager who said he would comp my meal since I took 3 bites and it was inedible. He did not comp my meal, but only took some of the cost off. I took the time to relate this story because I could not recommend this place less. Do not eat here.

The food was over priced for what you got. Tasted weird.Not your typical mexican restaurant. You would think it would be amazing for the time you have to wait. It's not. Far from it. I do not recommend. My whole family had stomach issues after eating there. Will never go back.

Very seldom do I give a 5-star review. However this place was truly unique. Wait staff were very attentive. And the food was really good. Have the chimichanga and nachos and salad and they were all really delicious. Atmosphere is nice and laid-back. It was a really hot day and it was cool and compfortable there. Would definitely go again.

I haven't been to all of the Mexican restaurants in Gatlinburg but I can't imaging there are many better than this one. The staff was friendly, the food was amazing and they had a cool decor. There is even a mechanical bull with an inflatable tube around it for when you fall off. Super fun!

Food was ok. Service was not so good. Had multiple issues with the meal. Legitimate ones. Tableside guacamole appetizer came out after the meal was served. Found barcode label smashed into it. That alone isn't a big deal for me. Just set it aside, those things will happen. Just disappointed that the server made no attempt to make it right.

Very slow wait for the table for 20 minutes very bad attention

Of all the places we decided to eat while on our honeymoon, this one had the lowest star rating, but ended up being one of our favorite. We did go around 3pm so they weren't busy and the service was naturally faster than usual. Everything about the food was fantastic! We got our food so fast, and everything was delicious. We have already decided to go back on the day of our departure and every time we visit Gatlinburg in the future!
