I went with a large group. The server was patient and kept a smile on her face while managing all of our different orders and personalities. Some of us shared a fry basket to start and I had the veggie stir fry as a main dish. Both were wonderful. I also ordered the sweet potato chili to go and asked for the cornbread on the side. I was disappointed to open it up the next day and find the cornbread on top of the chili, and consequently soaked into it. Considering the size of our group and how busy the restaurant was, I'm not too bothered by that overlooked detail. Over a week after visiting, I noticed I'd been charged for more than what my bill showed. When I called, the woman I spoke with was more than happy to correct the mistake. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lake Placid.

Disappointed with our meals and kids menu was frozen and box food. There is such a thing a homemade Mac n cheese and that is what you should get in a restaurant not a microwaved cup of garbage.

Really cozy place and dining outside is heated in cold weather. The food is good and the prices are fair. Our waitress was very friendly and overall we had a good time! Would definitely recommend

It might have been a cold night out, but the atmosphere was definitely warm and inviting! The service staff were fast, friendly and courteous. The food and cocktails were phenomenal. I would highly recommend the Greek Chicken Wings. Well worth the visit!

Food was very good - some of the better food we had in Lake Placid. The goat cheese salad and enchiladas were really good. The salmon though well prepared was under seasoned.
Our server lacked basic service skills. We ended up waiting a long while for our food. Our server spent 15 mins in an animated conversation with another table without checking in with us or our food (we had 3 kids with us). Our food eventually was brought out by two other servers. We told one of the 2 servers we were ready to order drinks so he walked over to her and interrupted her....when she walked over to us, there was no acknowledgment of the delay. She said So you wanted a coke? My husband had to go in (we were on the patio) to ask for ketchup which was brought out by yet another server.
Apart from our server, the hosts were very friendly and the other servers we dealt with seemed like they understood good service.

The food was delicious. I got the Moroccan burrito and my boyfriend got the chicken BLT. The sauces were fantastic and the fries were perfectly cooked. Woman bartender seemed a little overwhelmed since it was busy but overall would love to go back

Love it,sat outside with my grandson and ad a wonderful lunch.

A tasteful restaurant with a beautiful outdoor terrace

We had dinner early on July 24, 2019 while we were riding a motorcycle with friends. We were very well served and quickly by Adaline. We decided to eat indoors but we can also do it on the beautiful outdoor terrace with a fabulous view of the falls when the weather permits. My wife ordered a Fish & Fries at $ 13.00 while I went from a Turkey Club to $ 10.50 for a total of $ 25.38 with the tax. I want to apologize to Adaline if she reads this opinion for the very bad calculation I made for the allocation of her tip. Fatigue and distraction made me calculate 15% gratuity on the pre-tax amount of $ 3.50 on $ 23.50 but my biggest mistake was to add that tip to that amount instead of $ 25.38 so that I have probably been a big "cheap" and I'm sorry. We still have time to ride the bike and I will repair my mistake in person at the next ballad. I loved my meal while my wife liked it moderately. We were 6 people in all and were sitting on a large, comfortable table. The interior is beautiful as well as the outside. We offer some photos of note visit recommending you this restaurant located away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Great local hangout. Creative menu, fun casual atmosphere and "local" prices as we like to call it in lake placid. You won't pay tourist fees for the same food here.

Was served cold meatballs on gordon food service pasta. Much better places in this town.

We have been going to Lisa G's for over 10 years because of the friendly staff and good food.

Made a bunch of new friends, and not gonna lie, couldn't get enough of the food! Top shelf!

We got a tip from someone in the Green Goddess health food store, that this was a great place with vegetarian options. Very cute atmosphere, and delicious food. I had the veggie burger, hubby had the fish and chips.

Stopped in for drinks, and they were amazing! Had the Salty Ricardo- so yummy! Bar Staff was extremely nice. We definitely felt welcomed!

We came here for a Saturday Lunch in August 2020. We were looking for something off the main strip and hopefully not so crowded. The hostess said the available outside tables were only partially shaded at the time we were there so we ate inside which turned out very nice. With COVID precautions in place, this restaurant did an outstanding job. The food was timely and no one seemed overwhelmed. We were close to the hostess area so I could overhear many of the calls with people asking for outside seats. I could tell they were extremely busy but not overwhelmed. The food was great. We had a cheese/bread appetizer which was on point. I don't remember the name but highly recommend. Two of the party got the fish and fries and another got the fish tacos. The fish and fries were great. The tacos looked great, but very messy. They may have had just a bit too much sauce. Overall great experience, great food, great people. I don't usually have high expectations when in touristy areas, but this place deserves recognition.

Hands down favorite restaurant in town. Ask about the sweet potato fries! And who TF gives Lisa Gs a 1,2 or3 star rating?!

Friendly atmosphere, nice deck with good creative food. Excellent casual evening beside the stream.

Stopped there for lunch. We asked if we could sit at a table on their back patio with our greyhound and they said that would be fine. Patio wasn't too busy but there were two other parties with dogs, and I noticed that after one party left a dog bowl with water remained, likely meaning it was provided by the staff. Always appreciate that kind of service.

Overall service was good. We both had the kielbasa sandwich and it was delicious. Certainly have no qualms recommending them, especially to fellow dog owners out traveling with their pooch.

Solid option with a big menu and active bar. The food portions were large and priced right. Perfect spot after a day in the mountains.

It was meh. Not their fault: blame Whole Foods RAO s pasta sauce, which was 100 times better than the one served in the Chicken Parmesan pasta plate for $17. Don t get me wrong, the service was excellent and the food looked appetising, but I ll have to be honest: the quality was not there. To start, we had the chips with salsa, guacamole and warm queso. The chips flavour was bland despite being crisp.

So nice to find a place that has yummy food and is also dog friendly! You will totally enjoy sitting outside overlooking the water with your furry friend, your honey, and a cold beverage. Menu is filled with temptation and both times our food and the service were GREAT!

Lisa G's is one of our regular stops whenever we are in Lake Placid. Varied menu, all of it good. Gotta try the mango margaritas, and the wings!

Lemon ceasar salad was very good however all the main dishes we ordered had more than two tablespoons of sugar in them, even the curry (who knew curry can be super sweet?). Good service though but food could be less sweet.

This is a busy fun place to eat. Food is very good with nice options from steak to mac n cheese.

Not including any pictures because I ate the food too quickly. This place is great. Got the Daily Burger and Fish and Fries. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and I swear the Fish was so fish it must have been swimming earlier that day. Will definitely be coming back.

Surprisingly good. Most interesting menu we ve seen in Lake Placid - not all BBQ and overpriced. Good beers on tap, although there were only five. Staff was very friendly and had a good vibe. PS. Get the nachos!!!!!

I ordered a mixed green salad with pecans, cranberries, and apples. The vinaigrette was amazing. We were very pleased. We plan to go back and sit outside to view the water.

Not a great beer selection, but excellent service they went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied.

I really love this place. I've never had a bad meal when I was here. I've gone with large parties and small groups and the service is great always. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Food was ready in a timely manner and tastes great too. I was always recommend it. Outdoor seating in the summer is fantastic too.

Omg! Everything is so delicious! From daily soup to the fresh fish, and the cheesecake is a must! If we ever make it back through lake placid again we'll be sure to stop by here again!

Great atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices. Worth a visit

When I choose a restaurant to eat at in Lake Placid, I choose Lisa G's most of the time. I love it here because I've never had a bad drink and there is a wide variety of food. The menu does change with the seasons, but everything is delicious. I love the calamari the most. Atmosphere has an upscale, yet casual feel. So yes, jeans and a t-shirt are acceptable but you don't feel like you're in a low key restaurant either. Highly recommend to everyone I come across.

My wife and I are from Buffalo, NY, so we know wings. I have to tell you that Lisa G's wings would give some of the best wing establishments in Buffalo a run for their money. I was very impressed. We got takeout, but the restaurant itself looks great too. Highly recommended!

First time here and we were pleasantly surprised by the great food. Looking forward to our next visit

Beautiful location along the water with outdoor seating just a few minutes from downtown. The menu has many vegetarian options. Reasonably priced with generous portions. Reservations are recommended. I will definitely return on my next visit to Lake Placid.

Had dinner there 2/13/2020.... we were 4 adults and 2 children... we were greeted and seated immediately.. our server Chase came over introduced himself and took our drink order.. he was polite and Friendly... the menu has so many choices... the meatloaf was very good and filling... the fish n chips was also a hit... our food arrived in a timely manner... great place to eat would highly recommended Lisa G s

Great food! We loved this restaurant. Although we have visited Lake Placid multiple times, the first time we visited Lisa G's was this past weekend. We drove up to see fall colors. The drive was beautiful and we arrived hungry. Looked up restaurants and found this one with good reviews. It was totally worth it. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious. The menu uses locally sourced products which enhances the flavors of the food. All the rave reviews are well deserved. Next time you are here definitely try it. The location is just outside its main street by a picturesque waterfall. Highly recommended.

Food very tasty and great bar area. Unfortunately had a table of 15 very loud women behind us so loud the guy in the kitchen came out to see what was going on. Wow my ears are still ringing

Great place to get your favorite American styled meals. Super friendly staff and loved the cozy atmosphere.

I had the fish taco which was okay but the atmosphere is what really sells this place. They used to have a bacon kale horseradish salad that was to die for. If this was back on the menu I would have given it 5 stars.

Great food, great prices for the area. The service was great. And omg the chicken wings!!!

We had a great dinner here the other night. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get seated pretty quickly at a high top in the bar. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious, especially those french fries! I liked the unique menu items as well as the colorful and extensive cocktail menu and can't wait to go back to try a few new things. Definitely check out Lisa G's!
