I've been coming here for over 10 years and Lake Placid is constantly changing but one thing has remained consistent. Lisa G's is the place to go for great food, great drinks and the best service. I've driven from NJ for lunch here. It's that good. If you are already here you have no excuse.

Lovely setting . . . fantastic service and great food. We had a number of vegan options which were absolutely terrific! Mashed cauliflower and the carrot soup was superb. Definitely will return.
We always make it a point to stop here for dinner when we come to Lake Placid. Food and drinks are very good and the service is friendly. Outdoor seating in back is very pleasant.
Best Place we have found d in Lake Placid. Food, Service, and staff attitudes were all great. We had a 2 year old in tow with us and they accommodated us and his "toddler" needs. Ending up eating lunch here 2 days in a row. See you next year.
We went through Lake Placid on a whim coming down from Montreal and we're so glad we did. We just happened upon Lisa G's and we're so glad we did. The food was fantastic. The views were amazing. The service was wonderful. If you're every traveling through, this is the place to stop.
Visited this restaurant twice in the same week. They have tables spaced out to encourage social distancing inside and outside so I felt safe. They had hand sanitizers stations all over the restaurant and all the staff was wearing masks. The food was splendid and that's why I came back. I will definitely recommend this place when visiting the Lake Placid area. The last thing I ordered were the shrimp tacos.
The potato leek soup was quite well flavored and well done. The crispy goat cheese salad was delicious. The Moroccan burrito was a little bland but isn t far off the mark. The black bean quinoa burger was fairly average. The spicy cheese treat appetizer was great and had some pep to it. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious! We got the Greek style wings fried hard, the sauce was delicious! We got ours to go and even the to go containers and they way they put the food was very organized! The customer service was delightful! From the host to the bartenders everyone had a smile and was pleasantly! Also what a modern flare and great spot to be. When we come back to Lake Placid we will definitely be back!
Great wings- tried the buffalo medium hot, extra crispy. Funny and helpful waiter. Lisa G. Said stopped by to say hello and explained she makes her delicious blue cheese dip from scratch. Only downside is no a/c..so eat on the deck or just grab a cold drink at the bar while you wait. Reservations are for parties of 6 or more.
Very courteous and incredible service. Super helpful staff and very hospitable. We came to this restaurant tired after a very long hike. Tim took care of our allergy requests, changed the dishes when there was a misunderstanding.
The kids spaghetti dinner is way to small for $8 i mean for $1:50 that was made no reason there wasnt and cheese or garlic bread and the portion was tiny
Once again , superior service and friendly staff, unique menu. What more could you ask for ? The restaurant and bar were packed . The owner / boss had no problem hustling for her customers Impressed that Lisa leads by example. Another reason to "Love New York" !
The food was good and service friendly. We had a wait, but that's how it works in the time of covid. We ate inside and it was very nice, next time I think we'd try to sit outside. Looked very nice overlooking a small pond. We'd definitely go again when in the lake placid area.
This place is a must, seriously if you are in or even near Lake Placid go get some food at Lisa G's. Right off the bat the host, Tim, was serious, and not in a bad way; in like a I'm here to make sure you are taken care" of sort of a way. The waitress Renee knew what she was talking about. The menu has a great variety (we don't have time to get in to that but I will say the burrito with sweet potatoe in it is bomb and I highly recommend getting the sauce that is served on the burrito to dip your fries in no matter what you order)
This place is awesome for lunch or dinner. My family and I stopped in for an early dinner. The Moroccan Burrito was delicious. The service was friendly and courteous. Our server, Heather, was very cool. Highly recommended!
We've really enjoyed each and every stop at Lisa G's. It's a great fresh to table option in a land of ethnic/fast food options. The board of fare is eclectic and varies with seasonal availability and the chef's own pallete. They are light on herbs and seasonings, which is perfect for satisfying the masses (and they do tend to pack them in). Coordination of your meal may depend on taking some table control, so make sure you space you appetizer and entree orders. The preparation, cook to order, and dietary request satisfaction are high; so it's ok to come with rather high expectations. Portions are quite reasonable to large, and we ALWAYS leave satisfied (and typically with some leftovers). Oh yes! They are dog-friendly on the patio in warmer months, though covered seating is limited (beware a pop-up shower).
Coming home from Tupper Lake, we were lucky enough to find this treasure...we arrived without reservations, and the hostess graciously found us a table in minutes, even though the place was super crowded. We tried the calamari, and I will never eat it anywhere but here..so unusual, the flavors and the presentation, but works deliciously...we ordered the pulled pork nachos, which were a family fave..the vegetable fritters were sooo good, as was everything else we ate. Huge shout-out to the bartender, who did not have cucumber vodka, but muddled cucumbers and made me the best cucumber martini I ever had...will definitely return..atmosphere and service is so.inviting.
Been here twice in past year, winter with kids & summer with wife. Excellent choice for a date, however kids will need to be open to some interesting options. Great experience each time and won't break the bank in this expensive resort town. Inside has relaxed atmosphere, but outside on patio is the place to be in favorable weather. Food offers unique twists on American favorites along with some international dishes creatively prepared. The cocktails are a highlight with upscale flare to the common beverage, making it not so common, yet unforgettable.
We are visiting from Rochester, NY and loved Lisa G's. The cozy lighting and decor made us feel comfortable right away. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered the bbq chicken thigh with mac and cheese, my partner had the enchilladas. The food was great and we had a nice time. Would recommend.
Delicious food, good service, and beautiful views from the back porch/deck area. Easy to find on the way into Lake Placid, and the prices are reasonable. Neat, clean, friendly and comfortable.
A wonderful place that we found on Google maps and went to because they were open. I'm glad we did! The ambiance was very chill and inviting, the staff were super friendly and professional, and the food was divine. The goat cheese salad was amazing, as was the burger with horseradish, and the beer was top-notch. Next time we're in the Adirondacks, we'll certainly be back!
Great food. Very nice staff. Good beer selection. Beautiful deck seating area.
The burgers, fries, and chicken wings are all great. When we stopped this time, they were having Monday Wing Night. I don't think I've ever seen a restaurant this busy on a Monday. We had to wait to get a seat. However, the staff seemed to be managing well and our wait was short. I'm from out of state and have been here twice. I'll probably stop at Lisa G's any time I'm in the area.
My husband and I came to Lake Placid for a long weekend in February. When we first arrived, we had no idea how packed the restaurants would be - and ended up really struggling to find a seat anywhere. We learned to make reservations. We had to make a reservation a few days in advance for Lisa G s but we are glad we did! The food was delicious. My husband had a pulled pork melt that he enjoyed greatly - I got their house made veggie fritter burger with fries. I d highly recommend upgrading from chips to fries - their fries were perfectly crispy! We were able to walk here from our rental on Main Street. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk. We highly recommend Lisa G s!
Been. Patron since it opened. Love Lisa G's. The food has fallen off slightly over the last 4 years. Good. I will always go back but it's not great. Portion sizes have dropped and the concepts in dishes is odd in some cases.
You will walk in to a friendly hostess. The place has a really kool vibe and looks like Martha Stewart decked it out. Great bar to the right. Tables and booths to the left. Lemmon ceasar salad 93/100, Fried cod and fries 95/100. Service very attentive, friendly, informative (Melonie). Fried chicken sandwich is a best seller. Disappointed we could not meet Lisa "G", who sold to a new owner and now owns the Townhouse Lodge. Thank you for making my visit really special.
Oily bland food. Had to send one of our dishes back, was burnt initially they fixed that, but the second one wasn't great either in other respects. Extra oil even on my salad side, lol. I'm not an expert but it seems you just eat your life away in this place. Not even remotely healthy or refined. Not like it's worth the oil in terms of taste either. Decent service, clean. Really not sure what the hype is about.
They are currently open for indoorn and outdoor dining. Outdoor dining seating is quite limited. I am not sure why they don't have more outdoor seating. Food was great as always. The pork and bacon sandwich is killer. We opted to take out and sit by the dam in their back area rather than eat indoors. It was a 1.5 hour wait to eat outside. They have a take out station inside at the bar. Hand sanitizer stations are everywhere and all servers and bartenders were masked up.
Places off the main drag in Lake Placid seem to try harder - better food, more realistic prices, better service, etc.. Lisa Gs checks all those. Interesting dishes done well. We had a variety of items from across the menu - lentil salad, goat cheese salad, steak, fish, ice cream sandwich - all very good. Will be back hopefully in summer to enjoy the riverside patio.
My bf and I literally waited 45 and didnt get any service from them. There were at least 6 waitress and they walked passed us without saying anything. They didnt greet us or get us our drink orders. It wasnt even busy or anything. So disappointed in how they treated their customers.
If you come here for drinks, order the $3 feta and toasted baguette app. Its worth the trip for that alone. Double kettle and club was a big pour for thd price! Maple bourbon wings were solid. Great stop.
First time to the area. Wings were great, had the Italian stallion sandwich, was great. Service was great. Bloody Mary could have had some more garnishes with it for the price but was still good. Sat outside next to the river. Would recommend highly.
