You get alot of food for your money, but the issue is the food does not taste good.

Loved this restaurant! We'll definitely be back. Our server was outstanding! He was personable, attentive, timely, and brought us excellent food and drink! We were able to bring ours dogs and sit out with a beautiful view. Loved everything about Lisa Gs highly recommend!!

Smelled bad in there so we did not stay. Maybe ok other times. The locals told us they had fresh fish. They do not. Friendly staff and otherwise looked fine

Super friendly staff and cozy spot for dinner. The salad with falafel and lentils was awesome.

Ate here while on our annual vacation with friends. Food was absolutely outstanding and service was fantastic from Jason. Highly recommend the Chicken Parm, Fish Fry, even the burger, or the Gnocchi if its on special it was amazing.

Thanks for the great food and service! Will be back for next years vacation!

Great, inexpensive local spot. Gets pretty busy, sometimes you may have to wait for a spot in the bar, especially on wing nights.

Everything is homemade and delicious. The Greek-style chicken wings were fantastic and unique. The meatballs on the spaghetti were huge, and the duck sausage came on a rich and flavorful risotto.

Great atmosphere, very accommodating to our group had options available to serve us the quickest way possible on a very busy night. Food was great and very reasonable. Enjoy a great meal and fun location.

Great food, nice atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice and had that great attitude of someone that actually enjoys their job. Wait time seemed longer than usual but that's not the restaurants fault

I've been here 3 times and my third time was just awful. We were a party of 5 and were told that we'd have to wait 30 minutes for a table and we could head over to the bar area and have a drink while we wait. We headed over and saw a tall table for 5. We sat there and went back to the front of the house and asked if we could just sit there and have our meal. We were told no, that there were other guests that had come in before us and were still waiting for a table and we'd have to move. After 25 minutes, we weren't told to move, we weren't given a drinks menu, we weren't given a regular menu. One of my guests went back to the front of the house and asked what was going on. He told us that menus would be brought out to us. The menus were brought out to us and then our table was completely forgotten about yet again. I had to wave down a waitress to come over and take our order. We must have sat there for a good hour before placing our order. I'm hoping that this was an "off" night because the two previous visits were great.

Some of the best food in Lake Placid! The tuna and appetizer game was on point! Can t beat the location either!

Food was good, cocktails looked interesting but didn't have time at this visit. Attuned to allergies but somewhat limited options. Knowledgeable at least. Enjoyed the food.

Two Dogs allowed at the bar on a stool. Gross!
Barmaid chatting it up with the owners as if this is an everyday occurrence. Gross!
Two plain hamburgers brought to the owners and the one owner proceeds to feed the dogs with a fork!! BEYOND GROSS!!!
There s a deck, seat the dogs and owners outside, not inside!
Sad because we like this place and the owner, and were stunned that she d allow dogs to sit AND eat at the bar inside.
Somehow I don t think this would pass the Health Department inspection!

Awesome staff and great food and great wings my family And myself went there for wing night and the management bought a round of drinks for my family and I. I work there for over 3 years now and I am blessed that we have a good crew in kitchen working all together to achieve the same goal and helping each other out with stuff what we need to do and if we have problems in the back we all just solve it together.

Staff was nice. Really nice outdoor area. Homemade salsa was good and they had a interesting menu

I'm giving this place three stars because the food is outstanding! But a little on the price side and a long wait with very poor ventilation, made for an uncomfortably warm dinner

Great food, great prices, great service all around excellent service. Seen the other workers wiping everything in the building down with sanitize love to see stuff like that especially with what s going on.

We went in quickly, with no waiting time. Our attending, Tim was amazing and very pleasant. They had no trouble accomodating us and doing meals that were not on the menu.

Food and service were amazing. We had the pizza and it was deliciously crispy. The chocolate chip cookie ice-cream sandwich is big enoughfor three people. They allow dogs on the deck and patio.

Lisa G's is my go to place in Lake Placid. Top notch food with a menu that changes every season. Great drink menu and a decent select of beers (usually local or NY craft brews). Outdoor seating by a scenic waterfall - what isn't to like. Don't get overwhelmed by all the dining choices in Lake Placid - Lisa G's is a solid pick and you won't be disappointed.

Everything is home made. Even the ketchup and bbq sauce. Amazing burger.

Lisa G's is a really nice place to go after hiking in the area. Good selection of local/craft beers. Nice menu, with items for everyone, plus they were very accommodating for my vegan wife . Very nice servers as well! It was recommended by several people from home and it didn't disappoint.

Excellent food and service. Very kid friendly. Next time we are in Lake Placid we will definitely eat here again.

Looked online and saw amazing reviews. Got there with my fiance, waited for at least 5 minutes and 3 if not more staff/waiters looked us in the eye and kept walking. Noone came to talk to us. Then when we asked for a manager we got told excuses and that they were discussing something in the back, however still 3 staff members acknowledged us and noone said a word. Never going there again and would not recommend to anyone. Service is key and this place doesnt have it.

Went here for drinks and apps, and we loved it. Drinks seem a little pricey, but the drink you get is definitely worth the price, and they have a good variety of special drinks. We had a few variety of their wings and they were all great! I would definitely recommend the Korean BBQ or the Medium!!!

By far the best place to eat in lake placid.
The extra hot chicken wings are out of this world and unbelievably hot. The burger is up there in my top 5 burgers. Homemade meatballs, pasta sauce and spaghetti were excellent. Cannot fault anything we got or ate.
Seriously fantastic food and they do not seem to charge the extra few dollars per dish compared to other eateries in lake placid!!
Fantastic service from all of the staff and very nice surroundings.

If we ever visit lake placid again we will definitely be back to Lisa G's. Shame we visited Lisa G's on our last day.

Great menu, wide variety of options. Nice atmosphere. Can't wait to try out the back deck seating when it's warmer weather!

The Experience

After a long morning of making banana bread and lying on various couches in our Airbnb, we arrived at Lisa G's around 12:30. We sat outside surrounded by an orchestra of heaters which kept us plenty warm. The outdoor area didn't have great ventilation but we were the only ones out there so we felt safe enough. We also had a lovely waiter who helped us pick our orders with the kind of smooth confidence I need in my life.

The Accoutrements

I was craving wings and so we got two variants. These greek wings replaced heat with lemon zest and herbaceous seasoning. They also had the necessary wing crispiness that makes you scarf down a few in a minute's time.



The smoothly confident waiter suggested we upgrade our fries to the garlic parmesan variant and I was glad he did. They shared the crispy factor with the wings and the garlic added a nice kick.

The Main Course

I got the roasted pork and bacon sandwich. I will say I expected more of a pulled pork sandwich than deli-style meat but that's mostly cause I didn't read the menu. The onion and aioli added great flavor and helped ensure the bread didn't turn into a dry roof of the mouth damaging machine. The pork was a nice base and the bacon brought its usual delicious fattiness.

The Verdict

The meals we had in Lake Placid weren't always the most mind-blowing culinary experiences. Between Swiss Miss hot chocolate and overpriced lakeside meals, we weren't always impressed. However, relative to those experiences Lisa G's is a tier or two above. In the 2020 Lake Placid Gastronomical Olympics Lisa G's gets a gold medal and five stars to boot.

Great menu selection of quality dishes - lots of veggie options & tasty local beers. Can be pretty busy whether you want to dine in or do take-out, but worth the wait or the hassle of getting through via phone! Good vibes in the outdoor seating area on the Chubb River. And really good value compared to a lot of other restaurants in LP. Our go-to recommendation for visitors!

Fun place. Solid, well done menu. Very consistent for a long time. Good drink and beer selection.

Good food and great service. We had just driven 6 hours so were pretty tired. Our waiter Chase was super energetic and friendly!! Moroccan Nachos were a great start, since we had a vegetarian in our party. Two of us got the salmon and really enjoyed it, perfectly cooked. Great variety on the menu, which was a plus for a family of three kids with different preferences.

Arrived in town late at night craving steak. Lisa G's had stopped serving the dinner menu and only had steak sandwich. The server actually tried to find another restaurant that might still be serving full dinners. Her consideration sealed it for me. We stayed at Lisa's and I had a steak sandwich and they left the steak whole. Delicious! Great fries too. Great experience all around.

Wow this place is on the ball! They had a place we could sit and have appetizers and a drink while we waited for a table.

The food was incredible and the prices are great for the quality of food.

They are strictly following COVID protocols. We felt safe eating here.

Fantastic restaurant, the service was very good as we arrived we were seated right away no wait. Immediately got water as we were sitting down and the waiter was there and attentive the whole time. The food was very good, it had lots of flavor and some of the best sauce that I have had with shrimp. Would highly suggest this restaurant.

One of our favorite stops when we visit Lake Placid.

Went up to Lake Placid for a long weekend, this place was a hit for sure! Great food! A bit of a walk from the touristy area but well worth it!

Really great place off of main Street in lake placid. The food is unbelievable and the cocktails are great. If you're an outdoor person I would suggest going out to the back patio. It gives a great view of a small waterfall that's right behind the restaurant. Overall this is one of our favorite places in lake placid.

Great view, great menu, great drinks, great service! The mahi mahi tacos and turkey avocado BLT were both delicious. Everything on the dinner menu sounded amazing, so kind of bummed we came for lunch. Had a fantastic cocktail selection. Definitely worth a trip if you re in Lake Placid!

The food and service are great. There is a wide variety to choose from. The only down side is the seating is a bit crowded at times and it is loud.

We've been going here since the summer it opened. Lisa is always on hand and on top of things. Great food, great service! Very kid friendly. Laid back, relayed and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Always the first place we visit when we arrive, and the last place we go before we leave. Great for lunch too.

Decent quality food and very tasty however the price quality ratio not very high - 3 buks for hot water tee? Cake delicious but way stop sweet. I had a bit high expectations from this place. On a positive site is the stuff - nice and friendly. Thanks

Awesome place! Dog friendly on the patio during summer. Also, the Morroccan burrito was great!

The menu was stellar. Drinks that would be on the fanciest bar in Somerville were playfully scribbled across their board. I had the ludicrously cheap fish and chips and it was so tasty. I tried their gin sour and it was very herbacious. The perfect place to go after a hike, as it makes you feel welcome and happy.

Had the pleasure of dining here several times over the past five years ... got to say, the experience is always great. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. It is best to make reaervations in advance as they do get very busy.
