Just lunch here at Lisa G's. The cheese plate app was fantastic. I would also say the chicken club was one of the best I've ever had. If I lived in the area I would be back !!

We asked for outdoor seat, they said two hour wait. Fine, we said. Two hours later they said, tables ready, and then sat us inside next to the bar. Not what we wanted with Covid and all. Then, our waitress stopped by our table a grand total of three times over an hour. Our waters never got replenished. We never got asked if we wanted another drink. Service was awe full. Food was fine, but you d also expect more that ruffles potato chips as a side at any restaurant charging 20 bucks a plate. Wait 2 hours for someplace better.

Busy restaurant which is accommodating for walk-ins but expect to wait during high peak hours.

Really upsets me to post a bad review but... Given our current state in covid-19, NY state mandated reduced occupancy at every dine-in/ takeout restaurants, completely understandable. What I do not understand is that coming from a seasoned vet the frustrations of being told that the "kitchen is overwhelmed right now" for take out of a sandwich and pizza- gladly would have waited but was never given the option. My fiance and I, are both very understanding and calm in situations like this, but to be highly recommended and trying to order from Lisa G's 4 times in the past 3 days for our stay/engagement is a little absurd. There needs to be upper managements knowledge about this. We are not here to knock small business but come-on, you are all at a advantage in comparison to NYC or any other parts of NY. Hopefully this finds them well and can fix it.

Waitress was very nice & brought food accurately & in good time. Fried fish & French fries were super delicious. Fish was fresh fillet & fries were hand cut with potato skin on them. The Old Bay dipping sauce delicious. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the buttered pasta & excellent fries with honey mustard. Will be going back!

Nice food. I had the fried chicken sandwich and loved it. Everyone loves the salt and vinegar wings!

This place is great, fun crowd and retro karaoke. Be careful though, we caught some douche going through our jackets looking for phones. Other customers were complaining about missing phones as well. The staff quickly dealt with the situation when we informed them. Nobody was stealing this dudes phone though.

Have eaten here several times, BUT, the last time was during a very busy night, with people waiting for tables. Food was not that good!

Really impressed by the caliber of food we had here. All fresh ingredients, and the portions were ample. Service was fast and efficient. Will definitely be back!

They have heated outdoor dining that s COVID-safe! Everything was delicious, and our server Tim was very kind.

Nothing but a fancy diner! Probably better than most of the food in Lake Placid, and good effort with the menu and presentation. However, taste is just standard - note on the Greek style lemon and oregano wings. The feta dip was tasty, but couldn t taste the lemon AT ALL, and came out in a pool of oregano seasoning and oil give this recipe some improvement, and it could be a lot better!!

Loved the riverside porch seating, probably my favorite outdoor venue in the Lake Placid/Saranac Lake area.

Food was simple but tasty and most of the it tasted great overall (fries, salad, calamari, nachos, burrito). But one of our spaghetti&meatballs arrived cold and otherwise cheery service slowed as the restaurant filled up.

But we liked it a lot and will be back!

Limited bizarre menu. Buffalo chicken sandwich tasted and smelled off and with no buffalo flavor. Calamari was small in size, lacking flavor, on a bed of assorted pickled veggies. Food was in general, mediocre, meh for the price. A positive was super stiff drinks. Waitress was very nice and helpful.

Wonderful, welcoming staff. Great food, great selection of local beer. will cook a burger to order for your furry friend. Our dogs were made to feel especially welcome. Must visit!

Unique delicious dishes and super fast service. We had the best waiter i have ever had. Got the Clam za pizza and corn & chick pea salad. My son got the Duck. Everything wss super!!!!

Ate here with a couple of friends and the food was awesome!

Good aptnosphe, service was decent, prices a little higher than expected, food was very good. Wish the smoking area was not right next to the dining area, not the finish I wanted to a flavor full meal with friends.

Excellent, fast and attentive service. Teres Major steak was excellent, as were the included scallops. The Caribbean risotto looked good, but tasted like someone emptied the entire supply of cinnamon on it. I understand it's supposed to have a bite, but after a spoonful of the risotto I couldn't taste anything else on the plate. It came with salmon which looked great and tasted like cinnamon, as well as some excellent looking fruit mixed in, which tasted like cinnamon... You get the point.

For desert, ordered the creme brulee and the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. The cookie was huge and amazing, easily enough for two, which the waitress did warn us about when we ordered 2 deserts. Cleared the taste of cinnamon from my mouth and I really enjoyed it. Creme brulee was very blah, mushy, almost like whipped butter. Wrong consistency for this dish, but the cookie made it all worth it.

The food was great! Cocktails, not so much. Great atmosphere. Would 10/10 come back again!

Food and atmosphere was beyond my expectations. The service was sub par, only two servers for a large outdoor area with many parties. They seemed overwhelmed, as I bartender I definitely understand that. A few more staff would have made it a perfect experience. The drink was also too strong, which I ve never complained of lol so there must have been far too much gin.

Always great food. I'm at Lisa G's once a year pretty much and each time I think I should come more when I'm in town. Amazing little restaurant, great view off the back, beer on tap, good menu options and not too pricey.

Ordered lunch for pickup, everything from friendly service to delicious food was checked off the list. Will definitely be returning.... highly recommend the fish and fries!!

Can't be beat for seating a large party (9) of vegetarians and omnivores. For the omnivorous, I can't recommend the calamari strongly enough. We visit at least once (usually 2+ times) per trip, and we've never had a bad time.
They do take reservations, and they are appreciated, especially if you have a large group.

The best place to eat and hang-out - the staff really know how to warm your heart and satisfy your appetite - the food is unique to the area. Very Yummy, savory and large servings. You'll fall in love with the place too.

Great place!! Nice interesting menu selections, prices were fair, nice atmosphere and amazing staff. I had the tuna zoodle it was great. Everyone else was happy with their food except the winter pizza wasn't the biggest hit bit overall excellent. Will definitely come back if were ever back here.

We stopped here because of the good reviews but thought it was overrated. Food was average but atmosphere was pleasant.

The front staff were awful. We were told there was a 45 minute wait, an hour and a half later I was still waiting to sit. I was told for a 45 minute period that I was going to be the next to sit and then I watched as the incredibly rude and disrespectful boy at the front sat other people. When I questioned him on this he said I called your name and you didn't answer. That was a blatant lie. He should be fired for his lack of professionalism and his attitude.

Warm, inviting, great service and a great place to relax, unwind and spend some time with the fam. Food is very good too!

Close to the Lake Placid Marriott Hotel. Loved the daily special. Mike provided excellent service!

Server was lovely. Burgers were okay but over cooked. Nice menu but they need to focus more on food quality.

Go somewhere else. Order wrong, burnt the nachos, waiter never came back for refill. If waiter would have came back would have told him. Service just ranked this place.

Fantastic food!! Theres nothing Lisa G's doesn't do amazing!!!! Food is second to none!

Pretty good food and good table service. We were there last evening and it was extremely busy. We were told 1hr wait and it was just over that. It was very loud in there and difficult to carry on a conversation. Both of our meals were ok, but not worth an hour wait or the prices in our opinion.

Twice, while waiting for a table we witnessed that people leaving were thanking the hostesses/staff at the frt desk and there was no reply. They seemed to not care we surmised. A bit disappointing; we ate here a year ago with a much better outcome.

Perhaps a 3.5 stars. The service was great and our server did whatever she could to make our experience great. We ordered few type of wings and calamari. Calamari wasn't good and was overpowered by pickled olives and other pickles. It was replaced by traditional calamari at request but we could only take two bites from the traditional. I cannot explain the taste but it wasnt fried to crisp and it had a very strong smell. So we returned that as well.

Wish we lived closer so I could try all their eclectic food! Unfortunately, not so much for my husband. We shared a turkey club and it was enough for both of us.

I want so much to give this place a higher rating. The atmosphere is beautiful (little waterfall right off the back deck), the drinks were good and the staff was very nice. Unfortunately, no one in our party of 6 loved the food. However, everything else was so good, I would give it another try on my next visit to Lake Placid.

We stopped here on our way up to Lake Placid for the Can Am games. The food was fresh and very good. There was a great variety of both traditional and no traditional dishes. Something for everyone in our family of 6. The waiter was very attentive and charismatic. If we're ever up here again we'll be sure to stop in

I drive 2hours each way just for the Greek wings and they are worth every minute of the 4 hours' drive!

After a few duds in the area based on Google reviews, this was a godsend. Tasty food that's healthy and delicious and a few craft beers on tap. Plus the patio has a great view of the river.

Beauty scenery on the patio. Food was quick, plentiful and tasty, I had the Turkey Club. Service was attentive and friendly.

Fantastic food, and great service. Nice variety of vegetarian meals, and great meat entrees as well. Had the best margarita ever! Lots of interesting cocktails and beers. Spaced seating and outside and porch options. We sat by the river and soaked it in on the heated porch

Southern Chicken and the Cajun Bleu sandwiches were fabulous. Crisp, grilled bread on both and the greens/tomato were so fresh!

Needed to find a dog friendly restaurant and saw the reviews of Lisa G s online...what a great decision!! The food was amazing the service was top notch and they treated my pup like royalty! All of the staff were very attentive and super friendly, even to my Cooper! To top it all off the prices were great! Thanks Lisa G s!!

I have been coming here since I was a kid, Lisa's is great restaurant, the food is always a hit, be sure to get an order of wings.

Fun restaurant with something for everyone! It's a full-service restaurant but the atmosphere sort of reminded me of a neighbourhood diner, very welcoming and friendly. My meal was overall really great and had interesting flavours, and they also have delicious, sometimes over the top, desserts.

My husband and I stopped in early evening on a Friday night, about 6:30. The restaurant and bar were very busy. We were told the wait was about 30 minutes, but we had only waited about 5 minutes, when we heard the hostess offer the couple in front of us their table. They turned down the high table in the bar because it was too loud in the bar they said, so the hostess turned to us to see if we wanted to sit in the bar. We took the table and was surprised it was actually quieter in the bar than in the main diningroom. The waitress was very nice and after ordering, we were served quickly. We had the chicken sandwiches. Very delicious meal.
