Amazing place! Lots of cool insight and people live there
Fantastic to see the new viking king's hall. 1000 tons of oak went in to this project, and the building is monstrous in size
The perfect place. Lots of watching. The new royal hall is one of the most beautiful.
Exciting and beautiful nature, as well as many interesting information and activities
Great outdoor place I will surely visit again. We talked to a young woman inside the kings hall that were very informative about the lives and the livelihood of the vikings. Great storytelling that intrigued the kids a lot.
Interesting experience, with people in Viking costumes. In good weather you can even go for a walk
Overall, it is an exciting place. Unfortunately, I was barred from experiencing much of the area due to some stupid sloping doors that I didn't have the opportunity to open. I use electric scooter because of sclerosis. The paths behind the doors looked otherwise fine, but I couldn't get to them when I was alone and didn't have one to open and hold them.
Fantastic. High commitment of the employees, very family-friendly.
Love to come to the Land of Legends. Beautiful scenery, good communication and nice for the dog to come with.
The Viking Hall is fabulous and the staff are really good communicators - so we became much wiser. Also experienced a sacrifice in the sacrificial bog. An absolutely wonderful day with lots of experiences and stories about our history.
Fantastic place with many experiences .. you get very wise to the story.
The Vikings who tell are doing really well. And live up to their roles.
Unfortunately, there is Corona, which makes it difficult to get into the small houses and workshops. Too bad but it will hopefully disappear soon. You must see the large Viking castle. Remember to book an appointment in advance ..
Note that the price is probably high, but it is for the rest of the season
That, after all, legend has it. It can be so highly recommended set a whole day of or more well for smaller children too. It is also possible to buy some food and ice cream and suvinire
Great place and nature. Very well kept. Great place for teaching. You can eat your brought food or buy something.
Really nice place to walk around. Probably best for children, but we had fun too.
Really nice place to visit for all ages. Good info everywhere so you get a really good knowledge of the time. Very instructive. And then nature is just so beautiful
Big disappointment, nothing authentic in two or three houses.
Lots of empty space
Very interesting experience to live first-hand the life of the Stone and Iron Age and learn about the history of Denmark and the Vikings. Activities of making bread, dyeing and weaving, ceramics, forging, archery and spear shooting ... Big and small we enjoy. We bring a picnic and our dog. About 50 2 adults and 1 6-year-old girl
All buildings were closed, nothing in writing on web-site that you could not see anything, 175 kr wasted!
Great place to go for a walk and get an impression of the past.
Cool place with lots of nature and many exciting things to see. Worth the visit. Price reasonable as the ticket can be used throughout the season.
A great experience to see the beautifully constructed royal castle. An impressive construction.
Perfect for young children. Activities at an appropriate pace for deepening
Beautiful nature, but depending on who you are?! ,, a bit boring ,,,, but there are sound items that you can hear and signs you can read ...
Large area, lots to see. Lots of experience opportunities for children.
Loves Lejre and has been a family of many times. Can definitely be recommended.
If you come as a day guest then try to avoid Friday (here there is no past family in the Iron Age) and Saturday (this is where the new families start and they just have to "fall in"). But there is still plenty to look at and experience. Check if necessary. Camp's website (or Facebook) where there is a nice overview of activities such as heavy fighting, archery, yarn dyeing, St. Hans bonfire, sacrifice in the sacrificial bog and much more ;-)
Exciting open-air museum about Denmark's early beginnings
Lovely place with lots of knowledge and a lovely nature
Really nice place with many opportunities for play for children and adults.
It was simply the worst experience we have seen in a long time. All too expensive at the entrance in relation to what you promise can be experienced on the website.
It's the most expensive picnic we've paid for.
An amazing experience that no one should cheat themselves of
Last time I went to Lejre I was about 9 years old. That is now almost 40 years ago. I wanted so badly to go back there and show this place to the kids. Unfortunately I was deeply dissapointed. I know it is Covid-19 times and things are not as before, but the entrance fee of 600 kr. for 3 kids and 2 adults are just outragous and simply not worth the money. Nature is so wonderful the place is so great but there are so many better places visit for less money.
I actual left the museum with the feeling I got cheated.
Superb reconstruction of habitats from the Stone Age to the Vikings. It is an extraordinary space where we find constructions similar to those of the time. There are also workshops, grain mills, boats. They give old school cooking lessons and we've even seen school children being taught to wield the traditional shield and sword. A weaving workshop presents medieval productions. A must see.
Was there with two b grandchildren, they loved the place .. the rest of us were very impressed too!
It was very fun to sleep and live like vikings for 5 days. I especially liked making jewelry and sailing in the boats. The animals were very friendly and it was fun to catch the goat when my friend let it out . Making food and chopping wood was hard but fun at the same time. The horses where very pretty.
I can only recommend going out and experiencing the royal castle it is an experience absolutely fantastic we had a very competent guide who could hear its history for it definitely help to have a good experience.but remember to book tickets it costs nothing but so you are sure to come in. The legendary land in Lejre is really worth a visit each.
Legendary Camps is a mega cozy excursion destination for the family of children who would like to get a little closer to nature and travel back in time and experience the very old days
Definitely a place worth visiting. Take the family with children and the neighbor's children. You will all love the nice surroundings and experience a trip back in time without electronics and refrigerator and stove - enjoy.
Large beautiful nature area. Good communication and interactive play and activities. It is only open for five hours, so expect not to see it all. Some of the activities take over half an hour, so there is a slightly long wait
Interesting tour of the Royal Hall. Large area so there was plenty of space.
It was a bit like being at the Open Air Museum with old beautiful buildings, but without playgrounds or activities for the little ones. We had children at 2 and 6, and they were bored
This was an amazing experience. We had no idea what we were going to see when we arrived but it far exceeded our expectations. Pro tip: arrive early and use the boats before it gets busy or you will have to wait for a long time. We ended up leaving after waiting for 20+ minutes. The bus picks you up at the train station and drops you off RIGHT at the museum, and comes every hour. This place is a must see!!!
There are many activities for both children and adults, and you can easely use all day in Land of Legends. We comes there several times during the sommertime every year.
Very exciting place if you are into Vikings and history
The dissemination of factual information about the royal house could well be more in-depth.
Lovely place. Unfortunately some things are closed due to Corona. We look forward to next year
Great, ingeniously huge area with so many things for children to try out, canoeing, fighting ...
Fantastic place with authentic depictions of how people lived all the way back from the Stone Age to the Viking Age. Kongehallen in particular is impressively executed.
Educational experience, beautiful houses and exciting stories from the past. In addition, beautiful well-played Viking matches in authentic costumes to the great joy of the whole family.
A wonderful place for both children and adults. Gives a good insight into a bygone era. Lots of beautiful scenery.
One of the friendliest museums. A ticket is even a year pass. Clearly a visit each and every one is fun for people of all ages.
Great, a travel back in time with very educated and friendly staff
