Magnificent nature and good communication of our history. Always worth a visit regardless of age and number. Remember the entrance applies throughout the season

Really exciting place with lots of activities for kids and adults. Huge, so you can easily spend a whole day here.
Super cozy and nice day for three generations. Great trip on the lake, fun to grind grain and bake biscuits, etc. So delicious that there are good sandwiches AND especially rye bread to buy (it would be a little more delicious if the sausage horns were not outside the display case - where the vomit flies swarmed around). A wonderful day, thank you!
Awesome. Especially with children. Really a family outing.
Not much stuff about the Vikings at this time, unfortunately, but there's a very interesting Iron Age encampment and lots of information about the Neolithic life. The archery instruction was good value for money. A lot of the signs are long overdue a clean though - some are unreadable due to piles of bird droppings
We took the train and bus from Copenhagen to reach this place. We entered at the opening, with big group of kids. Optimal because you can take a walk around, not optimal because the workshops start at 10:30. We had to leave around 12:00 so besides the sites we could only enjoy a boat ride, you have to either stay full day or plan very accurately to attend them depending on their schedule. The food offer was very plain, just some sandwiches.
Legendary country camps are an incredibly cozy place for the whole family with lots of nature and communication about how it used to be.
A great place to be, beautiful nature and good experiences.
Very exciting center both summer and winter. They show what life was like in the countryside in our great-grandparents time. Now there was a special focus on Christmas with many activities for children.
The royal hall is beautifully made. The smell of new wood, beautiful cuts and you have to touch / feel it all. Remember to book time for the King's Hall after purchasing tickets.
Super nice nature with well-informed and dedicated staff. Unfortunately, some of the cottages in the Stone Age area are a bit included as well as some of the signage.
Nice place, however, lacks better viewing of routes.
We were there with 2 kids aged 6 and 9 and they had a great trip. But we lacked Information. We were missing signs at the various houses / activities with years, stories about what they had been used for. We also missed custodians who had been service-minded and burned to tell.
It was very beautiful, very suitable for people who like to go for a walk. Also works for wheelchair users, rollators and prams if you stay on the path. If you would like to know something about the Vikings from the past, you should go there.
Really cool place, learnt alot and didnt get chased by goats.
Suitable for the whole family. Better not on a very hot day. An explanation of the structure of the Vikings' fighting was amazing that also included a demonstration that we all participated in.
Love the new Viking Hall and the surrounding landscape. Gives a great insight to historical living. Great guides.
brilliant experience for children
best in average, not too warm weather
Great place. A lot of interesting things to look at and a lot of interesting stories. Great places to bring your kids.
Nice place with good nature and good history. When the entrance is paid for the whole season, you can come again and again for a good walk.
A slightly tame experience (probably due to COVID-19, and there was also 50% on admission)
It was boring and way, way too expensive. What is the income used for, because there was not much to see. When not the Open Air Museum or the Old Town to the sock holders. But beautiful nature and Viking hall.
A nice place for families but perhaps best for school classes. We were there off peak season so all the places were not manned. Therefore, there were not so many people and we could do things in our pace without thinking about queues and the like.
Those who worked / acted there were very talented but usually busy with school classes, this is certainly different in the high season when it is certainly also several who work there.
All in all a nice day
Nice large area, still a lot to see despite some previous visits.
It's a nice place that is spread across a vast area with many activities to do. Be ready for a lot of walking.
A wonderful museum gives you a complete vision of the life of Danes in ancient times and consists of two sections Department of buildings and life within it and the section of tents and life Danes nomadic recommend to visit very fun
Really nice to walk around like in the past, nice staff and tickets valid for the rest of the year at first purchase.
It rained a lot when I was there but it was fun to walk around and see how time became more and more modern. In this picture, a royal ship has been buried where in the old days they buried the king with it and put stones around it.
Super cozy place - especially when the weather is good.
Very nice construction and a nice area with different houses b.la. smithy and a pottery
Great place for both children and adults where you can go for some long walks, while becoming wiser about the past.
Another good thing is that you must have the dog with you
Great place, everyone must experience what is our history ...
Fantastic area with fine routes, of 1-3 km, you see as much as possible and it should be in dry weather. Fine with people dressed in folk costumes. The Royal Hall is impressively beautiful.
Good learning site on a nation through the ages, inter action with residents who test their theories
I have not yet seen the new royal castle.
But have watched a lot on TV about it and noticed the very atmospheric music that is put into the features and thought about it would not be a good idea if you had the tail as it could get your guests in the right mood and the experience becomes more like a total experience

Cool cool cool. Educational, impressive staff that creates the atmosphere of the past and magnificent landscape. It was our Christmas present for the family's children and I had provided sausage horns, pizza snails and food bread that could be heated on a fire. It became a huge hit. My husband and I will definitely use the annual card, even though we live on Funen. A visit is not enough as there are so many things to immerse oneself in and we love talking to the staff about their craft. A real cultural gem.
Lovely place with a lot of love for Denmark's history!
Unfortunately, a replica of a large Viking hall can only be viewed from the outside at the moment. Everything made of natural wood, including the shingles on the roof. Large areas for playing, bowling, boating, especially for
Suitable for children to recreate the life of the Vikings. there are TENTS in front of which handicrafts and iron smiths and bread baking are shown in traditional clothing.
Nice place that go for a walk, but it's way too expensive.
Exciting, educational and a great guide in the fantastic royal hall
A great place for children and childish souls who want to learn something more at the same time
Nice and a wonderful experience except for the rowboats where we got stuck several times due to branches that are just below the surface and got stuck under the boat but definitely worth a visit
Super cozy and the little loved ones go and see all the old houses and the area
I am really excited. We worked flint. And got a basic course in spear throwing and saw a lot. In any case, you should come early and check the website beforehand for the dates when which events are running.
Love the camps !!! Wonderful surroundings and experiences with lovely committed mediators
Just a little in the expensive end with the ticket price, when so much of the areas are blocked off, due to renovation / new construction etc. A big wish is clearer signage, as well as toilets in the area.
Magnificent nature and good staff.
A very nicely laid out and lovingly cared for area with a lot of history. A trip there is definitely worth it.
Fantastic museum! A great day out! There is so much to see I could easily have spent 2 days there!
Fantastic exciting place ... will definitely come again ..
An exciting place to explore in Denmark's history and a great place to have children and dogs.
Beautiful scenery in a place where you can spend hours
Super exciting and educational about the Vikings and the Iron Age, as well as the farm from the 19th century. Fun to walk around among the animals.
Perfect place for a family tour. Very beautiful and interesting places and staff are very polite and well informed.
It is now a nice and nice place but there are several things that fall due .. and they really also needed to do more to have people who can tell and "live as they would then" we only saw 3 people who did plays unfortunately ..
Wonderful people who are friendly and keen to teach different skills and craft. Great time.
