In an emergency while in Fremont we decided to head to the hospital. I saw the negative reviews of ProMedica but really had no choice at 4 in the morning but to go there. My wife was seen immediately in Emergency. The room was clean, the admitting nurse was professional and my wife who has a hospital background was comfortable. We saw a doctor fairly quickly and a number of tests were scheduled and completed in a reasonable time. Throughout the process all staff were professional and courteous and did what they could to make my wife comfortable. Several of the staff were friendly and they explained exactly what they were doing and why at every step of the way and checked frequently with my wife to see how she was feeling. All in all, my wife was seen by two different nurses, two different doctors and two Lab professionals. All were professional and made my wife feel like she was in good hands. On returning home and seeing our family doctor it was remarked that they did a thorough workup and that their diagnosis was accurate.
All in all, our experience was very positive. Every aspect of my wife's care was as we would expect in a hospital setting. I think that this could have been a much worse experience since we were just passing through and not expecting a medical emergency. Looking back at the other negative reviews it seems that they were mostly of the hospital. We did not get past Emergency but we have nothing but positive things to say about my wife's treatment and the team that took care of her.

Easily the worse experience I've ever had. Came in for heavy period to the point where I was having symptoms of severe blood loss. Left with a stabbed nerve (they messed up a blood draw and hit a nerve) and 0 help. I would not recommend. They gave me a "mhmm okay" doctor, felt like he completely disregarded any and all information I gave. Never again, I'd rather die.

Just go to Bellevue hospital... It may be hard for a lot of people especially the elderly but the amont of frustration free experiences you'll have will be worth it. The pure lack of compassion and caring for people is disgusting. Elderly suffer due to the amazing leaps and bounds they have to go through just to get to their appointments.

Very slow. My fianace had her heart rate go to 147 and the alarm was going off and no one even bothered to come to check on her. The doctor released her without coming to check on her. Terrible quality hospital.

A dear dear friend of mine spent 2 weeks in this hospital, and over the entirety of his stay they not only couldn't help him with his swelling, but was not prescribed anything to help with the swelling. What an awful experience!

Went to the e.r for a bump in my mouth and this doctor told me there was no bump. Just redness. I told him I was at a constant 7-8 pain and I didnt get nothing. No pain medicine. No antibiotics. Went to go get a second opinion and there was a bump. An abscess. Wow and you call yourself an E.R. I got better care at an urgent care.

I went into to ask for a single sleeping pill so that I could get one nights sleep. My children were taken by the state of Maryland, and I was suffering from sleep deprivation.

Instead of responding professionally and responsibly they drug me against my will and detained me. My dogs were taken to the county pound and I was kept for observation for three days unnecessarily.

Just had the two dumbest doctors there ever could be. Came in for a cut in Right ear and now have sat her for over an hour before the first doctor came in. I had to help her hold the light to see. Wow how unprofessional. Then after Dr Newton left then an outher doctor came in and he was just as bad. Had no idea what he was doing or what to do about it. I could have used my experience with animals to treat this better and quicker...next time I will do it my self..

I am from Michigan and I was visiting my finance and all this hospital did was said your neck is swellen and then released me. Just wish they could check my blood count. But they did not do that. I got a bill thoigh the mail and I have tried attempting to pay for it multiple times and nothing has approved at all. It says Everytime that I called them, I have to wait for 1-2 hours. Kind of wished I could of paid this a long time ago. It is like they are trying to force you in collections. So stupid!

I refuse to seek medical attention from this facility again. I have only been to this hospital 3 times and 2 out of 3 experiences were horrible. They sent me home with pain medication for a ruptured cyst. However, they gave me no antibiotics for the bacteria that presented due to the ruptured cyst. Therefore, 8 days later my symptoms escalated and I had to seek medical help again. This time I went to a different hospital only to find that the bacteria that went untreated caused a pelvic infection.

Nurses/staff on second floor...horrible treatment of our elderly Dad. Not sure if their meanness/rudeness stemmed from incompetence or a lack of compassion (probably both), but it was a terrible hospital experience. He came home in worse overall condition than when he entered their care. And they cannot claim they were overworked. Most of the beds in their ward were empty when he was there.

My brother was in the ER today 12/27/16 and the professionalism of the nursing staff was horrible! The nurse Tracy never came back after 2+ hours of my brother being in the ER with 2 rib fractures. Then when asked if he could have a pillow after laying on the flat surface for 2 hours the nurses said they would "try to find a pillow for him". Are you serious?! Then when my brother was ready to be released, the nurse "Tracy" said she would explain "rib fracture" to all of us, but then said there was nothing to explain. Then I asked Tracy about the cut on my brothers leg - was she going to clean it up -she said I could clean it up. Are you kidding me?! What are you being paid for lady?! She was the most unprofessional, uncaring nurse I have ever encountered. I would not even take my dog to Promedica Fremont Hospital. My Mother was there with sever edema with congestive heart failure admitted on 11/21/16 and they would not admit her (with the pleading of my brother) and 3 days later I find my Mother incoherent 3 days later and then she passes 3 days after that?! Seriously?!!! Promedica Fremont Hospital needs to be very careful. In my opinion only - they did a great disservice to my Mother. Enough Said = check your conscience Promedica Fremont Hospital - not heard the last from me.

I went to the ER with a fever, what I thought was a margarine (worst headache I've ever had), terrible cough and no urine out put. NP came in with a ton of question which every time I would reply I was cut off. I then was told since I've never been diagnosed with migraines there was no way I had one, and she would bet money I had strep or the flu. She gave me Motrin which had no relief, and she was aware. I let them perform the strep flu and I even gave them a urine sample finally after 2 hours of trying because she kept asking over and over if I was pregnant. Everything came back negative and my urine showed I was dehydrated (what the nurse told me) . The NP was very rude and unprofessional, and I will never return for ANY type of treatment. I'm glad that I'm staffed with NP's at my job that treats everyone equal no matter their age or symptoms they have.

Although the nurse at the registration desk was so nice and personable, this is by far the worse hospital I've EVER been to. I'm not even sure how they're even open. I was TRYING to get treated for flu or pneumonia type symptoms(I've had both). They did a chest xray, breathing treatment and sent me home. The nurse practitioner who worked 4/9/2018 in the ER needs to have her license revoked. I've never had a "professional" ask me if they stabbed me in my leg with a scapel would I feel it??? Simply because I said I feel like my legs are starting to go numb. Smh. She then goes on to say, sarcastically, obviously your legs aren't numb are they? Smh. According to Promedica my lungs are crystal clear but today I'm hacking up brown thick phlegm. My diagnosis was my symptoms. I've never seen anything like that before. I guess people in Fremont Ohio accept ANYTHING.
