Lees Summit PD

They confiscated a legal firearm from my friend because of a CCW violation which he tells me the charges have been dropped yet they still will not return my firearm. I was told it is because it is part of an ongoing case yet the charges have been dropped and they still will not return my calls. Very professional guys obviously.

I got in a wreck four days ago. They came immediately and started comforting my twin 9 year old daughters. We had to be transported by ambulance, and they talked to the girls the whole time, telling them that mommy was going to be ok, and that they were going to be ok too. Thank you guys so much!!

The Lees Summit Missouri police department is racist and harass, attempt to intimidate, and profile African Americans who reside in the city. They will stop you for no reason and try to find something to ticket you on after the stop. They will also become irrational and irate with you in an attempt to get you to become irrational and irate. Be careful if you're black and get pulled over by the Lee's Summit Police. Be very calm. They pull over fora lot of DWB in Lee's Summit. "Driving While Black".

I have been here a couple of times, staff are so nice and super helpful.

None of the cops have a sense of humor and they hold grudges

There's a reason this KC metro police dept has the best reviews... they are better than the rest. Real courteous and helpful at the police station, also professional and honest police officers.

Officers called my husband derogatory terms and then proceeded to harass us for simple miscommunication. Good job officer Ripley for keeping your officers in line.

Fine to work with, but their records department has preposterously short hours. People who work all day have no chance at getting there to do anything.

We have had some security issues at our business in the past month and I would like to applaud the Lee's Summit Police Department. They have been extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure that our employees feel safe. I would especially like to thank Officer Brownell who was our main point of contact. Thank you for the sacrifices you make every day to keep our city safe!

Why doesn't the Police Department invite the Fire Department to the Shop With A Hero??

I was beat up by the Police in cuffs and now have a record for something I did not do .. Watch out . Don't come in contact with the Lees Summit Police they are thugs ... I am sure they will kill someone soon they seem to like to beat people .

Every day our police men and women protect us and keep us safe. I can't imagine in these times of uneasiness and everything going on in this country that anyone would want to risk their lives for us. I think that your police officers need sensitivity training when dealing with families in crisis. They also need to know that they are not medical professionals and are not qualified to speak on such matters. I also feel that my house was illegally searched. There was no warrant.

Been here over 10 times with a friend to get the fingerprints done for court ordered fingerprinting. Call the detention center they say to come in. We go up there and wait hours upon hours to be told it won't get done today come back. Finally ask about it on the last day to be told the machine is down and has been for awhile. It would seem the people trying to do what is needed done is not given a chance because no one there seems to want gto do their job. Kinda stupid to come waste our time waiting on a police station that doesn't care to help those people trying to do right after a traffic ticket. Honestly got more from the police officer than the detention center that doesn't care about people doing what's needed done. It is almost as if they want you to not get them done so they can just put you in jail.
