Beautiful place with friendly staff. If you have the budget go for Frangipani island suite.

Amazing resort with some of the best beaches in Mauritius. The private island ls truly spectacular. Service and food is top notch.

We were at the hotel for the brunch and it was a great culinary experience! The food was simply amazing and the people that work there are genuinely happy to give a good service. Will definitely be back to stay in the rooms next time, the location is mouth watering.

Service was excellent. Rooms were well serviced . The service in the restaurant was the best . At the brunch the service was awesome. We were impressed by the front desks staff the service the provided was one of kind worth of a 5 star

Overall it was lovely but a few things that need attention. The breakfast options are bizarre and need more healthy alternatives. Saying you have a free mini bar and then finding it only has beer and no other drinks needs to be explained in advance.
When Devrika was attending around the pool it was wonderful but on her days off the service was nowhere near as good.
People were reserving sunbeds around the adult pool which i don't think is appropriate when there are so few and they were holding 6 at a time and then not using them for hours.
Service in the Indian restaurant wasn't good but the food was fantastic.

5 star hotel.stunning beach and surroundings.did not see rooms so cannot vouch.friday was sea food theme:big fresh variety of food.service was personal by our "in charge".

Maybe the beach can be more illuminated during the night so that people can walk by the seaside after their dinner.

However all the staffs were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable (Y).

Also, I would suggest working on the menu at the Ilot Mangenie and Republik Restaurant - There is not great choices and the prices of the food at the island were very exaggerated for the portion of food provided - The prices would definitely discourage people to eat there.

The island is a very beautiful place.

Spa was extra-ordinary! Liked both of our sessions (Full Body + Reflexology). We are looking forward to come again for the massages.

About the activities - we did only kayak and paddle.
However in the ad, there were treasure hunt but then we were said that treasure hunt is done only for kids. :( We were looking forward to this.

Resort Hotel of 5 stars plus... Monthly brunch is great! This is my 1st time visit and let's hope not the last one!!

I was there in 2013 during my honeymoon and after 5 years some things have changed and mostly still good. I can still say it's have one of the best buffet with a lot of fresh and variety items. Service is good but not improved like I expected. Over all its a great place for sea sports and the free transfer to ile aux cerf and ile aux margenie is a great picnic idea.. I prefer ile aux margenie as its more private and less visited by public. You can have your lunch on ile aux margenie at the hotel restaurant there.. I still give a 5star as its still difficult for other hotels to beat it.

Well organized, great for families with lots of activities for children, access to private island for peaceful b re each time and great beach side restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional service.

The room I had was with beach access and it was lovely specially the water hose in the toilet.
free ice cream on day time by the pool.. great massage.. the staff were very nice.. a lot of free activities like kayaking, water pedals, board surfing, cycling, tennis courts, billiards, pingpong and a lot more. Also nice kids club and it's good that they provide babysitters.

*** only one problem.. the place is full of insects, bugs and mosquitoes ***

Many of the staff were determined that we would enjoy ourselves and did their best to ensure that we did and we appreciated that.
The Housekeeping Team were super and deserve a special mention as in fact did all the staff at the Golf Club
Our room was on the second floor (240)) and I wonder if you take your guests age into consideration when allocating rooms ?
We are 84 and 79 and fit for our age but many aren't.
I found the use of the dark volcanic stone on the edge of steps a little tricky at night particularly when combined with the shadows.
The above are meant as constructive critisms and not moans !

I could not find any fault in your service, food or even the room. Everything was perfect except on arrival the hostess did not provide with sufficient information on the spa, pools, bars, activities, buffets, restaurants, or events taking place.

The staff members at this resort are exceptional, they go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. From the reception to the spa, all friendly. I tried two of their restaurants (the steak house and Indian one), the food was great. Make sure you reserve a table to avoid disappointments. Watched a great live performance on Thursday night while dining at the Indian restaurant. By sunset play music by the pool area, great for sundowners. Beautiful resort. There are boutiques in the premises but very exorbitant prices, carry a lot of cash or pack everything you need. There is also a market not too far from the resort if you really must shop.

Really lovely holiday, thank you, special mention to the hard working chefs who provided fantastic food throughout our stay. We were lucky enough to spend 10 nights with you on a half board basis and the main restaurant had such variety we never felt like eating anywhere else (aside from the odd treat in the Sega Bar) Speaking of which the bands featured in the Sega Bar were tremendous each evening bringing variety and excellent entertainment. We felt really relaxed whether being looked after by the pool or on the beach front and your staff were so attentive. Our room was probably the nicest we have stayed in and we have visited several countries (including other Shangri La hotels) so we don't make that statement lightly. Thanks again, just lovely.

Had a very memorable stay..the staff are so nice n welcoming and ready to help anytime.very nice food and service.a grand bravo to the kid's club staff,who are so welcoming and at ease with children..the children had a very time there and they enjoyed their x- mas day.a big hello to the staff in charge of the avtivities such as carrom,pool,tennis,etc.enjoyed playing carrom n pool with them.
A very good atmosphere reigns at the hotel.thats why they call it one and only..

Gorgeous resort with heavenly beaches

We have only good things to say about the Shangri La hotel. We were well looked after by Sunil and the duty manager and they made our stay even more comfortable that we could have asked for. The resort is very secluded and a true tropical paradise with multiple areas to choose to spend your day. They even have access to a private island by boat that is very relaxed yet upscale. We stayed in the Junior Suite that was elegantly decorated with free mini bar and cocktail hour access. I would recommend staying on the beach side rather than Frangipane area. The breakfast selection catered for all diets with a wide variety of fresh juices, seasonal fruits, pastries and all the usual choices. We had the best dining experience in the Japanese restaurant with one of the most delicious sushi we ve tasted, beating even Zuma we ve visited in many countries. The best part of our stay was definitely the beach with turquoise waters, access to a wide variety of water sports and tranquil cocoon huts you can have a little snooze in. The service all over the resort is very friendly and we have the best memories of our stay.

Simply idyllic. Service was great. Food had been fabulous and entertainment by Toto awesome.

The best hotel I've stayed in. Ever. Firstly the staff were the most friendly, helpful, kind people I've ever met. Secondly the place is stunning. The rooms are fantastic and well equipped. The restaurants were great, the chefs we're really helpful (best tiramisu I've ever eaten!). And it has its own private island!

The hotel outdid themselves with the Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner. The variety of different dishes was overwhelming in a good way. The quality of the food dishes were number one. I would recommend Shangri-La s Le Touessrok to everyone that wants to visits to stay or just for lunch or dinner.

Our Stay was memorable. The Shangri-la staff and personel were very welcoming. We enjoyed staying at the Resort.

Overall, this is a top-class place. All rooms face the ocean, which is quite exceptional in itself! Then, the setting is remarkable - a mature tropical garden that hosts a mixture of endemic and exotic plants is a feast for the senses.
The rooms are very well maintained, just like the whole of the infrastructure itself, from the walkways, gardens, equipment, kids' club, pools, etc. - for a 42-year old hotel, they deserve a round of applause!
Then comes the food - excellent in any aspect. In fact, you will be tempted to have a taste of everything and are never disappointed.

My parents absolutely loved their stay! From the first contact via email with Christelle Gamelle and her team and also the Spa team, to the super friendly staffs at the hotel, to the great food and relaxing spa treatment.. What an amazing experience!! Thank you and we'll definitely come and stay again soon!!

Excellent hotel with Private beaches. Helpful staff and shuttle services between islands is very convenient. Amazing settings with good chilled atmosphere. Gym and Spa on site with games room and good activities to keep everybody busy. Ricardo the activities manager is really helpful.

Amazing views from hotel room. Made a real effort to respond to our request for photos from 23 years ago. Tennis, golf and cycling all excellent.
Irritating charges for water in restaurant. Most staff were excellent and friendly but occasional unhelpful attitude and lapses. Why can you not offer an inclusive deal - continuously signing chits is very tedious?

This is the best resort we stayed at. The room was just perfect with a magnificent view. Food and service at the restaurant simply the best. We had the best steak and was awesome!!!! our welcome was touching and very swift. just one recommendation hotel staff had some communication difficulties other than that all perfect.

We stayed there for a weekend and it was beyond our expectations. Highly recommend to all travellers and local people. The food is great and the location is simply wow. They also have a private part of the ile au margenie where you can have lunch and chill.
The staff is very nice and always happy to help whenever there was any issue and ensures that the guests are 100% satisfied. Special thanks to the staff at the republic restaurant, the manager and Nicole. We will definitely come back.

It is great resort and has great location. I even had to change my plans from 2 to 6 nights and canceled the hotel. I got out only once (didn't need to), This is how amazing this resort is. They are the only resort that has a private island. The downside is that it is expensive when it comes to food. It would cost you 60 eur per meal per person.

Highly recommend this resort if you re planning a trip to Mauritius. Le Touessrok has a ton of local history, and Shangri-La s tasteful and luxurious updates have made it incredibly inviting. Private beaches and excellent service add to the top notch experience, and you have to consciously pull yourself away to explore the rest of the island. Very nice!

This is a absolutely delightful location with a lovely resort. Staff are always smiling, attentive, polite and cannot do enough to make sure their guests have all that they need. For example the beach bags , flip flops and individual cool boxes with iced water daily are just a few touches that make you feel very special.

2nd stay at Le Touessrock / Shangri -La's everything about this hotel is excellent the staff are the most polite and frendly you could wish for. The room we stayed in was faultless cleaned to high standard free mini bar restocked daily also fresh fruit in the room. Bottle of sparkling wine in the room on arrival,a birthday cake and a bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday from the hotel.Would recommend and stay there again.

Amazing hotel. If you come, be prepared to be pampered. Best beaches are on the hotel's private island, which they run boats to every 20 minutes. Staff is amazing - butlers, spa, check in, and the list goes on. I think they ate genuinely caring, reflecting their Mauritian culture. One of the better hotels on our trip.

Was here for a private brunch organised by a company. I liked the place, cosy and modern. The food also was awesome. There was a large variety of food as from starters to dessert! You will not regret the food served if you go for the brunch, bubbles & beats... the only thing that I disliked, is that the security guards did not allow us to go on the public beach. I think that this is a must when going to such an hotel. Please review this for the future clients!

The all you can eat lunch that is open to the public on the first Sunday of the month was great.

This is a great hotel with a class setup as well as superb location, the hotel is close to the famous water activity areas and the hotel really has a refined feel and presentation. The only reason I dropped a star is due to the poor dining staff demeanor which, for this caliber of establishment should be welcoming and inviting. A pity, although the other hotel personnel were great and property is certainly worth a visit.

I highly recommend this hotel. As the hotel firstly, is located on the cleanest part of the coast. Secondly, The hotel's staff are very friendly and made our stay way much enjoyable, Especially the Chief Booby I cannot thank him enough for his kindness and very delicious cooking. If I really wanted to come back to Mauritius I would definitely come and dine in and say hello to Chief Booby. The Massage in the hotels Spa was definitely an experience which I will not forget. The water activities were fun, but I would recommend adding more activities. I would also like to suggest that the hotel provide a shuttle from to Airport and City Centre at reasonable prices.

international buffet but not authentic taste. For someone who has tasted the original dishes in the respective countries, I had to return half of the things I took from the buffet. Also for those with food intolerances, not many gluten free or lactose free options on the buffet. There are much better hotels in terms of service as well as in terms of food in Mauritius.

Worst service ever. Everyone is very lazy, and very unfriendly. There is just no communication between the staff. We booked a trip to a school to help kids, and no one knew of anything. When we arrived at the school they told us there was supposed to be someone from the hotel with us. ( no one ever told us anything, or didn t even know about the booking) . Everything In the hotel takes hours... if you order a drink at the bar, you can wait 45 minutes min. at least for a simple drink like a dry martini. You also need to go and get your own menu since no one is paying attention to the costumer. Food in the buffet is very poor. Half of the things you want to order is not available . Everything is basically self service. The Management is non-existent in the hotel. If you complain to them politely about something, they don t do anything else then say a simple very fake sorry. The only nice thing here is the sushi restaurant. I wouldn t recommend this at all. Four seasons in Mauritius is a million times better.

I must have stayed in more than 20 resorts across the globe but Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort and Spa is the best resort I have ever stayed in. I was amazed with the detailing, it shows the effort that must have gone through in giving a product to travellers which truly exceeds our expectations.

Check-in experience was awesome. Instead of standard check-in desks, we sat down next to a small water body at the reception area which didn't make it feel like I was in a 'check-in' queue.

Amazing planning has gone in designed the rooms and suites. I was lucky enough to stay in a suite which my family truly enjoyed. Right from size of rooms, amenities in the room, access to power outlets, layout of the bathroom, his and her dressing up areas to large high definition television.

There are multiple pools in the resort to fit everyone's need. Kids pool is very child friendly. There is an entertainment zone for adults with pool table, PS4 and a few board games which is adjacent to kids' zone for them to play while you can be close to them.

Restaurants in the hotel are excellent. I ate at their Japanese, Indian, Italian, Cigar lounge, and their multi-cuisine restaurant and all of them were stunning and scrumptious.

Service of any place is defined by its people and Shangri-La knocks it out of the park. I know that providing this level of service in a beach resort is much more difficult that a business hotel and Shangri-La Le Touessrok has amazing standards. A few people deserve their names being called out. Emily from the front desk / Concierge was very warm, prompt and had attention to detail. Kudos Emily!! We were greeted by hotel's GM Gerhard Hecker on our way out. Congratulations t Gerhard and his team for running such a fantastic hotel. I definitely have created memories of my stay at Shangri-La La Touessrok that will last a life time.

Beyond exceptional. They are taking care of every tiny details. The service is professional and people are very kind. The food tastes so much yummy. the ocean view is fascinating. It s really a piece of paradise.

An excellent resort with the vast majority of the staff and services / food we enjoyed were 5 star. The gym, spa and tennis coaching were also excellent

The Butler service was a particular highlight and all aspects of our room and comfort were excellent

The only disappointing aspect was the quality of the service around the adult only pool and beach where we thought the service was begrudging , towels seemed a scarce resource and generally the service / quality of staff dropped below the high standards set elsewhere in the resort
The beach / bar services on the private island in comparison were exceptional in comparison
We had a fabulous holiday and will certainly contemplate coming back next year
