The service was just ok. The food we WAY overpriced for the portions. I was very disappointed. Nothing fancy at all and most of our food was cold and over cooked. We ordered the pan seared scallops and the chicken cutlet. Both way over cooked and not much flavor. I have lived in this area all my life and this was my first. And will be my last visit here. So disappointed.

I had a fantastic dinner, but I over herd our male server saying to the bartender to shut the f-up (Anne or Amy) I am not sure! The look on her face! The look on her face! I She actually had to delivered our drinks because our server forgot them and we never got our appetizers! As a bartender if servers do not do this we will make the drink again and when you are busy it s bad for you and the restaurant! I felt really bad for her! The food was delicious but the service was lacking! Next time we will go to the bar she did not deserve that!

The food was excellent and the ambiance was great! The problem was that I had 5 promotional "Chimney Bucks" certificates worth $25 in total I got from purchasing a $250 gift card for my parents and was only allowed to used 2 of them (one per person) toward my $76 meal. When I received them I was told they were as good as cash and could be used together!

Three Chimneys Inn was honestly one of the greatest parts of our entire New Hampshire trip. We had a goal to never stay in the same place twice, but we ended up booking a room a second night because we loved it so much.
Huge thank you to Heather, Kelsey, and Kim on staff for such great hospitality and conversation.
Can t wait to go back!

Great atmosphere, really pleasant staff. Presentation of food was great but neither of our meals were good. Braised steak and the planko salmon were tasteless. Both meals were missing something.

So cozy!

We have stayed and dined here multiple times. Up until now everyth has been exelent. The last time we got diner we both got tenderloin wich ways very small and way overcooked for $32. The waitress did not come back until we were almost finished. She offered a $5 coupon for our dissatisfaction... really!

This is a beautiful, quaint . Everything was clean, neat, and prepared. The staff was inviting and welcoming. If I ever have friends or family going to this area, this will be the first place I recommend.

While I can't vouch for the inn the restaurant is amazing. The food is to die for and the old fashion is top notch. While New England has a lot of great places to eat this palce has prehaps the best food. I am truely delighted and amazed.

Quiet Bed and Breakfast. Close to gas station and college hangouts due to the university down the road. Provides breakfast. With Corona its left at the door. Dinner available as well on the patio with live music some nights. Neat bar but it's only open until 9p which was our biggest complaint. Otherwise clean and an easy drive to multiple beaches and hiking trails.

Food was less than stellar, they have a ancient rule, if u attend a function in facility even if u are staying overnight they wont serve u alcohol in tavern, really rude older female bartender. Much csn be done here but seems its seen better days

I can say that me and my wife had very pleasant dining experience here. Starting with good wine followed by fried calamari appetizer and continued with the main course - the daily special - Glazed pork cotlet with roasted brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes. Really enjoyable experience.

Just had our big Thanksgiving dinner at Three Chimneys. The hostess was very nice, the ambience was wonderful, however the food was sorely disappointing. I can by far cook a better dinner than the one that we just paid a large amount of money for. The turkey came with a thick skin on it and wasn't browned. The turkey was tough and very thickly sliced, the mashed potatoes and stuffing was not notable in anyway. Our waitress wasn't attentive as we had to repeatedly ask for more bread, gravy and coffee. Our dinner was over $300 for five of us and we expected a much better dining experience. Can't say that I would go back.

My wife and I have tried this restaurant twice, both times a miserable failure. Service is terrible, food and drinks are extremely overpriced, and food quality is very sub par. Ordered the Grilled Chicken BLT tonight and came out without bacon. I asked for the bacon and the server said she would talk to the kitchen. She then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the evening. We had to find a manager to resolve the issue.

Our room wasn't very clean and was VERY small. There were holes in the walls and missing paint. The beds are bargain store basic, probably 20+ years old and so loud every time we moved the baby woke up. The bedding was stained, had some holes in it and was about as soft as sandpaper. Half of the staff was friendly and accommodating the other half were extremely rude. They were not child friendly. There are no changing stations in the public bathrooms and they dont have cribs. We were there for a wedding. I wasn't served one of the courses at all.. I was the matron of honor! Oh and there are stink bugs EVERYWHERE we had to kill 6 in the bridal suite the first night and 3 more the next day. Overall I would have been happy if I paid 50 a night but at almost 200 a night I expected ALOT better.

Beautiful inn!! Our room was great and every single staff person we encountered throughout our stay was very helpful and friendly. We ate at the tavern for dinner the night we got in and had breakfast the next morning. I recommend both. The food was delicious. My only disappointment was I didn't encounter any ghostly activity whole there... Maybe next time!

We had a lovely time a the Inn, the room was cozy, breakfast was excellent, especially the home made crossants! The Inn is dog friendly which is a huge plus! The staff was welcoming and courteous. We stayed in the Carriage House which was tucked away in the lower level of the Inn. Our room was nicely furnished and clean. My only negative comment is with respect to the air conditioner in our room, it was a bit loud, but hey the room was cool.

Fancy, expensive, food was fine.

Been back a couple times now. Service is very slow (I think they are understaffed).

Food is mediocre. My kid's pasta was not cooked in salted water. Unforgivable.

The meat in my Reuben was real fatty. Rye focaccia was very tasty though.

Crispy vegetable pancake appetizer (not pictured) tasted very nice, but had a weird stuffing and I wasn't sure how to eat it.

Went for dinner last night. Ended up in the Tavern which was cozy and welcoming. My husband and I laughed how the menu seems to change each time we go- and each time we are thrilled with whatever we order. It is always delicious! We cleaned our plates! The service was friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and well cared for! Just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy. We felt we could relax and take our time, but always had what we needed to enjoy a lovely evening out! Add to that it is conveniently located- with plenty of parking, it made the night that much more enjoyable!

Stayed at this inn under the impression that this was a bed and breakfast, and it kind of is but it's essentially a hotel. Our room was clean and pretty, but the walls are thin, and people kept letting their doors slam. Breakfast was not very good, and we had to tip. Unfortunately, we did not have the bed and breakfast experience we were expecting. (We also forgot some things in the fridge, but when housekeeping found it, they did not let us know. They were going to keep it. So, I'm not happy about that.)

The room was very rustic and inviting, had a warm cozy feel about it with a nice glow coming from the gas fireplace. The bathroom had a soaking tub big enough for two. Very nice setting overlooking a lake. I can say the only downfall was that the bed was hard and the sheets weren't soft.

Very nice room, slightly weird that the curtains didn't completely cover the windows but that's minor details. I did feel like there was very audible noise from the hallway, not loud, but if someone was outside talking softly we could still hear it in our room. I left to grab something in my car when I was walking back to the room, I could hear the TV before I reached the door. It was only at 7 out of 100. The in wasn't busy so it we weren't bothered by it, just aware of it.

Dinner was surprisingly good, honestly we had been debating all day if we would at the inn or go into Portsmouth. The menu is okay, nothing super exciting. Be warned there isn't a single vegetarian option for entrees. The pasta dish could be modified, but that's all. Luckily I do easy fish so I got the tuna and my partner got the shnitzle we were both very happy with our choices. Our server Heather, was also very pleasant. She was attentive and efficient but also respected our space.

We enjoyed our time at the inn and would return.

My daughter had her wedding at Three Chimneys and it was beyond my expectations. The food was excellent and the service wonderful. I booked two rooms (one for my parents and one for myself) and they were so homey. I saw different venues after her wedding and I just realized that Three Chimneys offers something different, something unique. The guests said they wanted to go back and stay again. I just loved it from start to finish.

Service was a bit slow and it wasn't a busy night! Some items on the menu didn't have prices which I thought was strange. Also, it was very over priced! Since when is a burger "seasonal" making the price change daily? Also, I didn't see any hand sanitizer anywhere

My parents stayed here and invited us for breakfast. WOW what an amazing spread they do for breakfast. Everything was soooo fresh and delicious compared to the crappy food we were offered at our B&B. The coffee was great and the service was top notch!
When we walked around the entire B&B it was filled with history and charm. Wished we had stayed here as well.
Not to mention that you can walk down town and have a great amount of food options!

Attended my brother's wedding here. It was a very scenic and historic inn. The grounds were beautiful! We plan to take an anniversary trip here in the next couple years and do some exploring without the kiddos.
