Very nice place to visit. A really relaxing experience. I think is a little overpriced for the entrance. The food and the drinks at the restaurant were ok . Nothing special
Have visited from Toronto three separate times now and always integrate the spa into a weekend in Ottawa. This spa is outstandingly beautiful and relaxing both summer and winter. Plan to return many more times.
Good and relaxing. Background music in resting areas a bit too loud for my liking. There used to be body lotion in the changing rooms but no where to be found in my last visit.
Excellent place to spend the day with your loved one.
Clean and relaxing. Good service. My only "irritant" is that there's always construction happening (which doesn't seem to happen during the day so no noise, just materials) as the place is ever expanding. Wish they would finish with the renovations. My personal annoyance and shouldn't take away from the experience.
Sooooo relaxing! Amazing in both winter and summer each with their own unique benefits. New features this year include a Russian spa and salt scrub. If you can handle the heat try the Scandinavian sauna! Following the heat-cool-relax method is the best way to guarantee you'll be leaving relaxed and energized all at the same time. Also if you've got a little extra to spend definitely opt in for the Kalla experience (floating salt pool). Deep tissue massages arent the greatest here but an outdoor massage during the summer is definately a treat! All you need to bring is flip flops, a water bottle, maybe sunglasses or a hat and of course your bathing suit!
Amazing spa experience. Would recommend at all seasons. Winter has its perks, but summer feels like a beach resort!
Love this place. Really nice on a sunny day but there's just something special when it's the middle of winter, snow and freezing cold.
Weekends - get up early and enjoy the place as it can get busy later changing the whole feel of the place.
Found weekdays quieter.
Food service has always been good and friendly.
Amazing experience, make sure to bring or buy flip-flops when below zero
Love this place, both relaxed and exhausted after a day!
Really beautiful place, very relaxing and many different saunas and pools to choose from!
Thank you for the fantastic spa and sauna facilities and the kindness of the staff.
My second time at Le Nordik and I loved it just as much (or more) on this chilly winter day as I did in the summer.
No photos as I don't think cell phones should be allowed in the grounds, but it was a great relaxing day with a friend. I highly recommend the winter hammocks, the German ritual (I forget the name) and the Monaco in the social pool if you're there with someone else.
I was really disappointed by my experience at the spa. The atmosphere was more like an all inclusive resort. Lots of drinking and noise. We made reservations to go in, showed up early and it still took 45 min to get to the change rooms. The spa is beautiful, but by noon there was so many people we often couldn t go into any saunas and at times we walked in loops looking for somewhere to sit down, people had to double up in the hammocks so they had a place to lay down. We weren t able to try most of the hot tubs because they were too crowed. The Kalla experience was lined up for most of the day. We saw people waiting 20 minutes or more, for something they paid extra for. Doesn t seem right. The food is quite expensive for what you get. $14.00 plus tax and tip for some pita bread, a few veggies and dip. The reviews from the last month or so are poor, so it must be under new ownership or are just allowing more people in at a time. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet spa experience, this is not the place.
the spa is great, but beware!! If you drive an out of province plate, the spa allows the municipal police onto their private parking lot where they freely hand out tickets for expired stickers. $500 lesson, as it is just the Ontario plates that are targetted.
The ultimate spa! Wow! You can easily spend a whole day there and not get bored. There are so many different stations. Arrive early and spend ten hours there to make the most of it!
One of the most relaxing place and spa I've ever been. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing! Had a deep tissue massage and am feeling great!
Great place but the hot tubs are not hot enough for the price you pay
It's good place, but cost to get in has gotten high. Cost has gone up alot over 2 years.
Too many people, the pools are crowded, people talking in the whispering space and silent space. The showers seem not completed as the shampoo is placed on the ground, the stalls don t have hooks. People keep getting in and out of the relaxation areas.
I never liked saunas or hot pools until I visited this spa. I love it. I also talk a lot but love the section where i am not allowed to talk! What a surprise! This spa is mostly outside and a true experience to indulge in.
I just soent my first visit to Le Nordic and was in awe. It was gently freezing rain which made the whole experience that much more sensory. It was peaceful. Relaxing. And so so enjoyable. In Dutch we would say the atmosphere is so gezillig. I hope to come back once a season. Love how huge the place is.and how many options there were. Dinner was also delicious.
Amazing experience..loved it very much. Great staff , great location and great value for price
Police troll through the private parking lot looking for Ontario Plates. If you're registration is expired (or I hear if your doors are unlocked), you will be mailed a ticket for ~$500.
An amazing experience that will lure you back again and again.
Great scenery, could be cleaner. Music can be a bit loud in places. Food is reasonably priced considering it's in a spa. Service is very good and the staff are friendly. People at the spa were respectful. A good experience overall.
Wow wow wow... Such a beautiful and relaxing experience. This was my first time at Nordik Spa, and I absolutely loved my experience. My favorite was the ritual in the sauna, with the essential oil infused snowballs. I can't wait to go back!
Great day with friends. Enjoyable treatments, food and drinks are good but definitely feel overpriced for a the quality. Staff is friendly and helpful but can tell have not been trained for fine dining experiences. Definitely an enjoyable day but there's room for improvement.
Relaxing, beautiful, friendly, accommodating and tranquil.
Busy but well done. Massages were awesome. The grounds were immaculate. Try not to get your robe wet. They were reluctant to trade a wet one for a dry one. The first two lockers I was assigned were defective. Forgot my flipflops. They have them for $10. Restaurant was great. Location is stunning. Will go again!
One of the best spa ! Very big and beautiful you can spend the day there very easily! I have beed to many spa and I find for the price they could invest in the robes, for 15$ extra both my husband and I had holes in them. They all are the same so I got mine taking by someone and my swell bottle of water got stolen. *** if you go you must do the Infusion show !!!! Amazing
This is hands down, the most beautiful spa i've ever been to. Everything was perfect, and since the prices stay the same during weekdays, there was significantly less people when I went. I had a massage from Maika, and she was the absolute perfect therapist. She adjusted her pressure based off my reaction. She was also great to talk to as well. The food is phenomenal as well, and I love the social area where we can meet new people and get drinks. Looking to come back soon!
Lovely experience. If you are going for a massage ask for Veronique.
Wonderful! Relaxing environment. Friendly staff. Good food and drinks. Open late! And all year round. Highly recommend !
The absolute best.
Wide variety of activities to choose from, whether it'd be a sauna, or a thermal pool.
It is an experience.
Light meals that don't leave you sluggish at the Resto.
"This place will put you in a haze" A.B
Expensive but worth every pennies. Services offered for the price can t be beat, very relaxing experience.
Superb atmosphere, excellent services, sublime decor. The only downside is massage therapy which in my opinion leaves much to be desired in the quality of massages, in hygiene or even in organization. The place of the region to visit at least a whole day if you are not around to enjoy the baths of nature and the atmosphere. Rest, relaxation and rejuvenation guaranteed
Always a wonderful relaxing time. Clean and Covid friendly
So beautiful and very relaxing. Saturdays are very busy, people talk a lot. Other days are fine.
An amazing experience to relax and unwind. Highly reccommend their three step thermal cycle: hot, cold, rest. Otherwise the cold will feel too cold for all but the most adventurous. But the cold feels invigorating and refreshing after their steam rooms or saunas. I always enjoy going with my wife. It helps us unwind together.
This is a great place to relax when it is not too crowded. Today was one of these days.
HORRIBLE experience - Really BAD customer service.
Booked weeks in advance to ensure there was room for a couples massage and access to the baths. In the end they made multiple mistakes with our reservation. They did not honor our gift certificates, nor did they suggest anything to compensate for their mistakes. We struggled to get fully reimbursed. We drove down from MTL and left completely frustrated - what a mistake. CUSTOMERS BE AWARE!!!!
Incredible experience. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway with a significant other.
this place is just awful. worst massage ever with a huge pricetag.
The spa pools are wonderful, as well as the sauna rooms. The staff were incredibly courteous and the massage therapist was phenomenal. Very pricey however. Otherwise an excellent couples venue
Yes it's big, yes it's a zoo - but a zoo I could spend all day in sipping wine, and spending some Q-time with important people, so that's cool.
I've been here twice, both times the service was excellent and the baths were relaxing. Lunch included in the price of my package was delicous! It can be a bit busy at times and is a first come first serve basis so bring a book in case you have to wait!
Nice place and very pleasant, but during my visit, several things were temporarily out of use. In addition, the recent addition of a second bracelet is very disturbing.
A well thought out spa. Totally enjoyable. A must visit.
I used to really enjoy going to Nordik as it wasn't always as over-crowded or busy but now every time I go (approx. once per year) they still jam pack the place like sardines and the quiet areas and NEVER quiet. You get folks who are in there who just insist on having a "whispering" conversation with each other and then other people do it as well.
My husband and I also got a coffee at the cafe and mine was fine, nothing special, but the one they had made him was super watered down and tasted terrible! We've also had the veggie dip in the restaurant before and it was terrible and the veggies were not fresh at all.
I will not be returning for quite a few years.
Amazing, a little pricey but well worth it. Restaurant leaves a little to be desired as they have changed the menu again. A must go to!
The thermal experience is the best. The saunas and steam rooms are the best on Ontario, it's a spa that's unlike any other in Ottawa. Worth going to if you are in the area and want lots of fun. Unforgettable days of relaxing there. Food is okay but expensive.
2nd visit to Nordik love this place but first time with this new reservation policy had to only wait 45 mins but over all this place is awesome
Go during off-peak hours, when there are too many people it can ruin the relaxation. The floors in the change rooms should be redone.
the staff is friendly and very helpfull the massage experience is very relaxing
Love this place so much but WOW something needs to be done about the check in & check out process.... it s always such a big line and it moves so slow.
This is a perfect escape from the city if you need a day of relaxation. It is best to come early in the morning to avoid the crowds. I love that there are numerous pools and saunas to choose from. The staff was helpful and friendly. The facilities are very clean as well.
It's such a beautiful spa! Excellent customer service, lovely location and awesome food. I've enjoyed every visit so far. My only complaint would be directed towards the customers who don't respect the quiet areas. There are signs everywhere indicating that people should be quiet and yet, even when told by staff, refuse to be quiet. All in all, it doesn't really change my opinion towards how amazing this spa is. I really, really love it.
Very relaxing. Definitely better to go when it's less crowded as it's nice to be able to do whatever you want without feeling in somebody's bubble. We went on a Thursday 1-7 and it was quiet mostly. Definitely got quieter as the night went on so a weeknight would be ideal. Pools are clean and selection of saunas and pools is great. One complaint is that our rented robes got mistakenly stolen within an hour of being there so I would suggest bringing your own. Or I suggest Nordik just puts numbers on the robes instead of the hangers...
People talk too much! :( Lack of hot bath and unused lukewarm baths.
This place is amazing and beautiful, but way to many people even at 8h30pm! Plus,in quite areas, people were loud, and the staff would only stand there and hope they shut up, without saying anything. My boyfriend had to personally tell a group to stop talking.
Beautiful atmosphere, very relaxing more employees its friendly, only negative ... The price of alcoholic beverages and the minimum of $ 150 that I find very high to put in the bracelets ... I recommend the place if you like swim, have a good time in quiet saunas and have at least $ 300 for your day.
We went on Monday at the end of August. Reservations made beforehand make the entrance process much easier. I would highly recommend booking a time before you go. We decided to treat ourselves to the salt baths for an additional charge and it was the first facility we used, there were no lines or wait (although I ve heard on the weekend this may not be the case). I would highly suggest trying out this unique experience. It s worth it! Despite being busy, there was no problem finding places to relax or room in the saunas and pools. Lunch was also delicious. We can t wait for the one in Whitby to finally open.
Overall great time. Went on a weeknight.. which was great as it wasn't as busy..
I love coming to spa Nordik and am always excited to see what new features the spa has to offer. Right now I'm on my third trimester of pregnancy and I was super excited with the idea of coming to get a prenatal massage and try the Kalla experience! Unfortunately, it turns out one cannot access the kalla treatment without first paying the FULL price of the thermal treatments, even though as a pregnant lady, you can only go into 3 of all the pools and not use any of the saunas (so not really getting the FULL thermal experience). As a fan of the spa, i really hope you review this policy, as it seems quite discriminatory to pregnant women.
I Highly recommend this spa! Great facilities and services.
It was 5+ stars place before (many years ago) when is was a compact place in forest on side of a mountain. Now this place is not the same. Overcrowded, destroyed a lot of original forest and built a land for parking instead of shuttle people there. After a serious fire that was due to architect who poorly design this SPA, this place is just a money making machine for owners. Plus seriously overpriced and not safe to visit anymore.
Le Nordik really has something for everyone. It is split into zones, one where you whisper, one where you talk, and one where you party. It's become a beast with continuous expansion and upgrades. Every year you get to experience something new. I like that I can go and relax or go and have fun, depending on my mood. It is incredibly well appointed and maintained. I recommend trying a few different masseuses if you are into massage. They have so many that you might not click with the first one you try. The prices are inching up constantly but it really is worth it, and you can see that they are investing heavily in the experience so I don't mind.
I love this spa. With their praise rating. Unique and very pleasant concept. What I also like is the Russian sauna. Very special!
Best relaxation spot in Ottawa and surrounding areas
Always feel refreshed after going to Nordik. There are SO many different types of saunas
It's a beautiful location but very crowded at times and some policies seem unnecessarily complicated
Good place to relax. A bit pricey but still enjoyable if you go for a day.
Amazing place. Ultimate relaxation and unforgettable experience.
Honestly the most relaxing place to go! The Kalla treatment it phenomenal!! You do have to pay extra but well worth it. The place seemed to be clean and well organized. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. Highly recommend going if you re looking for a fun, yet relaxing spa!
so relaxing! khala treatment was just what I needed, and I will come here again!
Great place for relaxation though gets crowded on Fridays
