They let too many people in. During our visit, they ran out of lockers and menus, and fresh towels were in short supply. I rented a robe and had been avoiding putting it on while wet to keep it dry for lunch. Another patron ended up taking my robe while I was in the hot tub, and left a soaking wet one in its place. When I went to the front desk to replace it I was told they had run out of robes and it was suggested I switch my wet robe with a dryer one by taking someone else's. I ended up having to eat lunch in a towel, which meant I was cold and very aware that everyone else in the restaurant was more covered up than I was (I'm not normally awkward about such things, but I was wearing a strapless bathing suit top so with the towel wrapped under my arms I looked naked). It wasn't until around 6 pm that I actually started to enjoy my time there, when people started to leave.

I've been to this spa a few times before and it was one of my favourites. The facilities are nice, the setting is beautiful, and the hot tubs and saunas are a good temperature. However, they let in too many people on weekends. We were the last group let in before the wait list started and I wish they had been honest and sent us home, instead of letting each of us spend over $100 (with lunch) for an unenjoyable stay.

They were supposed to send me a refund. My bank never received it within the 5 days that they said I would have it. Now I'm having to way 55 days for my bank to investigate. Super inconvenient!

Ok, I'm behave gone twice up to now. One was with my hubby, and one time with two other girl friends. Baths we relaxing and well intent to make it relaxing. Some guests us is as a hook up party little area so they can get a tittle rowdy , and some want to relax. Last time I went with my girls, I misplaced a necklace and coach prescription sunglasses . Never found them . Now one reported them. Let's just say keep your valuables at home. You'll never get Them again. That day went with the girls, wallets, glasses cellphones , taken en never returned. Fun place.but I don't trust it

The spa and all its facilities are great, the place feels very luxurious. I can recommend the aufguss sessions. The place is so popular that during peak times there is a long wait, so much that twice I cancelled my planned visit when I arrived, because for me a 1hour+ wait is not acceptable.

Super nice place for relaxation. Lots of bath, sauna and pool options. There is something for everyone.
Only thing is very expensive and very popular so there is a lot of people for the number is at the edge of the fire, in the saunas, etc.

For an expectant mother who is 8 1/2 months along, the amount of stairs was a little overwhelming...especially from a good distance DOWN hill in the parking lot. Maybe a couple mom to be parking spots closer to reception would be an idea. Had the mommy to be massage, and it was uh-mazing! Made me feel so relaxed and stress free for the time being. Then I wondered outside and found myself in the underground cave that is the Kalla . What a bizarre experience that was, but equally relaxing. There were times when you d be completely zoned out and someone would not knowingly float and touch you...didn t so much like that. Also, word to the wise; don t navigate for a spot on your knees...slowly walk, or float to your desired destination. There is a small bit of sediment on the bottom and once your knees get exfoliated , it burns. All in all, I d say it was a great treat; definitely not something I would do in the near future as it is a bit pricey. And I also didn t think it was fair to charge for the whole thermal experience when all I wanted was the Kalla. A true waste of my money, but lesson learnt! Would definitely recommend to any mommas out there looking to treat themselves to some r&r before life gets too hectic!

We had a great day.... from 12:30 to 22:30. We started with the cheese plate outside with wine. The 3 cheese plate was not all that crack up to be.... one out of 3 cheese we like. The rest stayed in the plate. We love cheese, so ??? A 1/4 apple slice, raisins and one little fig (not fresh) with some good fruit sauce. That was good. We also had a rolled Greek kind sandwich. Don't remember the name. Plus it was very expensive for what we got and the quality of the food. The saunas were great, the orange one beside the eucalyptus need adjustments. At the end my friend had his shoes stolen? With orthopedic bottoms, what is wrong with people ? In all we go for the sauna and pools...the one we float is fantastic. In all, food aside, it is great.

Beautiful location, great atmosphere and options. Would have enjoyed more if there were more options where talking is allowed. Parking lot is very messy with potholes and needs improvement.

The Spa was wonderful. All the different temperature pools, saunas with different scents. My wife and I really enjoyed it. The reason for the 4 stars only was because the service in one of the cafe's was horrible. Our waiter disappeared, and took forever for other staff to realize and take care of us.

A few weeks after visiting Le Nordik, I received a $492 statement of offense in the mail that accused me of an infraction during my time at the spa. Their parking in the middle of nowhere is considered public space and my license was in the midst of its renewal. I never received a ticket because they have made an arrangement with the spa so that they are not blamed by the customers for this indictment, however, the spa is fully aware their customers (particularly those from Ontario - where the fee is $140 and I never received any ticket anywhere in Ontario while I waited for my license, as they recognized it was only recently expired). This is unacceptable. Why would I go for a spa day only to have this level of hassle and end up feeling ripped off? If Quebec doesn't want my tourism dollars, you got what you wanted - I'm done with Le Nordik!

We came here for a bachelorette. I would NOT recommend this place for such fun activities. This spa is CRAZY BUSY . I do not find it relaxing to wait in line for an hour before getting in. Of course you can imagine how packed the pools and hot tubs are. On the weekends you are pretty much sitting in baths touching other strangers to try and squeeze in. Also, the staff take their job very seriously. If you try and have any fun they will SHHH you. Either with a look or with a lovely sign that they point at you with. Of course food and beverages are stupidly expensive for alright food. Small glass of wine is 9.50 + and drinks upwards of 11$. There is one section of the spa where you can actually have a conversation with friends and a drink in hand in either a pool or hot tub that over looks the mountains. This is the best area in my opinion and I believe others as well because this area is even more crowded. They say this pool is an "infinity pool" although it sounds better than it actually looks. It over looks a padded area with rocks and looks completely unfinished before actually on looking the actual mountains. Overall I would recommend looking into a smaller less popular spa if you want to actually relax. I would not recommend if you are going to hangout with friends for a good time as you will get shushed. If you would like to soak in a bath FULL of people and touch shoulders with strangers..this is the place for you!

We paid an aditional $80 in order for myself and my wife to use the Kala floating bath.
She did not feel well today and spent most of the time in the relaxation areas. When we asked an attendant if we can get reimbursed for not using the Kala he said that we will be reimbursed at the customer service desk. Then surprise, we were quickly told that is not possible, even if we did not look at it, at least.
We spent over $450 this day and we are very dissapointed in their customer service, and probably we will not come back again.

It was a wonderful experience at the Nordik. Massage was excellent. Time passes by fast at this place .. Make sure you enjoy the stay and not to rush .. unfortunately I had only 4 hrs there which included an hr massage . Therefore, i recommend to spend more time. The massage in nature is not different than a massage in a standard room since there is not much to see. You might want to save the extra money to buy a meal there .

I have been to so many spas and Nordik is truly a beautiful place. I was disappointed by the food and the drinks. I really think that for the premium you pay, you surely deserve quality drinks and food. Maybe it was a one off but I was left a bit unimpressed.

I used to love going to this place until today. Ran out of robes to rent, ran out of lockers so stick my girlfriend and I with one she can't even access. And today was the first time I had a massage. Scheduled for 3 pm, began around 3:15 pm still ended at 4 and majority of the treatment was tapotement and hitting movements... Not sure how that is relaxing... But needless to say, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

The biggest problem is the check in. I have stood in line and watched people take over 15 minutes.

As I waited many times in the line, and my own check in process, I have noticed it is not streamlined at all. It seems every person had their own process.

There needs to be an express line for regulars that know what they want.

Better yet, a way to check in remotely, with all the nuances and choices made in advance, bring in a reservation number to an express desk, get handed a bracelet, go relax.

Went there for a relaxing day at the spa, ended up with a $492 ticket for parking in the woods because I'm from Ontario and the police target anyone who in the midst of renewing their lisence plate sticker. When I spoke with le Nordik management, they said they were aware of the problem, and said they thought the police were "mean" for targeting their customers. Apparently they also target Ontario licenses in the ski resorts. A bunch of crooks. Not going back.

One of the largest outdoor spa in Canada.
There are all kinds of baths, saunas, massages and skincare.
I love the huge range of choices!
I also like the serene character of the place.
Ideally, go there in winter. The hot shock of baths and saunas against the surrounding cold is exhilarating.
However, be careful of the slippery ground.

Dressing gowns come at an additional cost, but rather bring your colorful dressing gown to avoid unwittingly swapping your gown with a stranger.

There are heated hammocks which are, in my opinion, one of the best inventions of man !!

The Nordik has definitely grown immensely since I started going 10 years ago. There is a great variety of relaxation areas, both indoor and outdoor, more saunas and hot tubs than you could cycle through in a single day, and there is always something new to discover. This is my idea of paradise on earth. Just my favourite nature spa. The staff are respectful and pleasant and serve in both english and french.

Beautiful place, far from Toronto though. Scandinave in Collingwood, Ontario is the same thing.. less restaurants but not as packed. The staff here are in no rush and are just as relaxed as the people leaving. Dead Sea pool was cool after I found it, not sure if it was worth the extra doe though

Been here twice and loved every moment of it! Great atmosphere, especially in the evening (highly recommend going in the fall), lots of little nooks and crannies to explore on the spa grounds. Staff are always attentive and helpful.

Spent 8-9 hours here and time just flew by!
There are many hot pools and cold pools to choose from. There are many cold and hot saunas to choose from as well! Relaxing cabins & teepees to hang around in. Hammocks, muskoka chairs and anti-gravity chairs everywhere. Many fireplaces. This place is very large!!!!!!

I tried the Kalla pool (salt water floating pool). It was pretty cool. They provide you with a head rest pillow to make it easier to relax while floating. Make sure you submerged your ears so you can hear the water.

There is free tea in one of the lounges. We ate at one of the restaurants. It was awesome! Prices were reasonable. A cheese/cold cut board around $19, a wrap around $14.

We did a one hour Swedish massage (you get to choose your massage oil: eucalyptus, orange or lavender), kalla and all day baths & robe rental: $220 (with taxes). You get a massage receipt of $115 to claim for insurance purposes.

Bring a water bottle with you and a waterproof watch!

From Ottawa you can uber, but you won't be able to find an uber back.

They are expanding. Cant wait to try the new mud cave they are building for 2017!

One of the loveliest afternoons I've ever had. I will be back as soon as possible. Please open one closer to Toronto?! So many different hot tubs, saunas and other spa amenities to choose from, and additionally you can book massages and other services. The Eucalyptus sauna was a group favorite for us.

Travelled an hour & 15 minutes to the spa only to find out that we would have had to wait an hour & half to get in. Not because it was full but because they couldn't process people fast enough. This makes no sense - management should review their process.
We left, very disappointed and I don't think we'll be back.

Reserved on Dec 24 with a pre-purchased. I ended up sick and ZERO refund or no option to re-schedule. You will never see me there again. Unfortunately, there is no zero star option because that's what they deserve.

Amazing spa with incredible facilities and views. Staff very friendly throughout spa and cater to needs well. Initial check-in did not offer any information about facilities at all though. Had to figure out layout and amenities on my own at first. Masks are not mandatory in buildings as they advertise on their site. Seems to be up to guests who where's masks in buildings and who doesn't. Also, upon check-in there was no explanation of what is open and what is restricted.

I went there last night and experienced discrimination as soon as I walked in by a pregnant girl working at the reception I had 300$ gift certificate and she told her colleagues that it must be a problem and must be fraud!!!! Is it impossible for a black person to go to the spa or get a gift certificate??? It's only 300$! They had to make many calls to confirm that my gift certificate was ligit. Even after I showed proof email confirmations from nordik themselves! For your information not all black people are crooks!!!! Crooks come in Colors you ignorant chick! She's on the wrong side of the border! This bullshit made me late for mAssage wich magically was cancelled right after I payed for it!!! I got my money back unpleasant experience !!!!

Honestly one of the worst experiences, and I regret coming to this spa so much.

I suffer from chronic pain on top of other illnesses, and had been extremely stressed and sick from all the pain these last few months, so I saved up my money to be able to treat myself to a spa day.

I've been to le Nordik a few times before and had a wonderful, relaxing time. This time? I left the spa in more pain and more stressed then when I entered.

The place was PACKED like sardines. I'm claustrophobic and it was so awful, there was no where to relax, the baths were crammed full, the only space available in any of them was the stand in the middle. People were screaming and yelling throughout the day, and I'm not even exaggerating either, actual screaming, since apparently there was tons of young groups and bachelorette parties there. Even in the silent and whispering areas it was so loud. Someone took my robe at one point that had me medication and glasses in it, never got them back. Waited over an HOUR for some pita and veggies... it took about 45 minutes to just get our wine after taking our order. People were walking and texting on their phones, including in the saunas. I actually had an intense panic attack at one point because of how claustrophobic and loud the space was, it was sensory overload.

There is no reason a spa should allow that many people inside at a time, it's impossible to be relaxing when it's that crowded.

I'm unbelievably disappointed in my experience here today... Spent over $400 of money I saved for weeks to come and enjoy myself and instead I have one of the most stressful experiences either.

I asked staff where to send in a complaint to, and was given a business card, so I'll be writing to them as well in a bit.

Can not possibly recommend this space, it's like the Chuck-E-Cheeses of spas.

Nordik makes me think of a water park for adults. I can see it being relaxing but it really depends on when you go. I tried my best to time my visit during a day when the place is not too busy because it can get quite loud and crowded. The opposite of a spa-like experience. It was my first time at Nordik and I found the layout incredibly confusing. It took me a while to orient myself and I had to wander around a lot to know where everything was. A few positives, when Nordik is empty (and this happened for me once it got dark), the place does get very relaxing and serene-like. The quality of the pools and saunas are great and the floating salt-water pool was my favourite, one of a kind experience. I would recommend going to Nordik for the thermal-like experience, but it is quite expensive and only worth doing once in my opinion. Really, the ultimate deciding factor is when you go; avoid weekends, Friday nights and holidays because the crowds get insane. I timed my visit to go on a weekday and even then it was busy, but thankfully, there were no crazy line ups and by the evening the place emptied out.

This was a great spa in the past! And still is quite amazing... however, they seem to be after a different clientele and aiming for more of a club atmuspher.

Again, it still is a great place to visit but, it just isn't as relaxing as a spa should be.

Its nice... in the winter they need to find something to help people not slip and fall, i fell and my friend did too. Along with another time i know someone else that fell there and broke her foot. Also.. they need to have a better food menu, i went with two friends the other month and we went tk eat and there was nothing on the menu that any of us wanted. There are very few options and it is mostly snack type food such as nachos.

Went 5 years ago and had a great day. Went back, thought maybe the crowds would affect the environment, but it was still great. Best spa ever. The waiters are incredibly slow (same like 5 years ago) so aside from that, everything else is perfect. Great customer service, great massage therapists.
