I waited to get in for an hour and once I got in I waited another 2 hours before I got close enough to an exit to leave. I paid $50 for myself and my kids including buckets of food and didn t get to enjoy the farm. It was after I paid that I was told it would take about 6 hours to get through. Very disappointed

I turned into a kid again! The bigger the animal, the better. Can't walk through, the trail is WAY TOO LONG. I never drove through cause I've seen too many vidoes on the damage that can be done by animals to a car. Lol
I thought it was worth the wait. A weekday visit works out best. Make reservations!

This is a must-go place for all families. They have wonderful, exciting safari exprience! I strongly recommend this place. My kids loved feeding the animals and walking around the place. They don t really have something to eat here (except for ice creams and water) so you should better bring small snacks for kids.

I loved the area. The park was clean for zoo standards. The price was a little expensive with adults at 11$ children of 9$ the feed was 3$ a Tupperware. But this is to be expected due to the clean park. It was awesome that they offered military discounts as well. The park was easy to traverse in my jeep in 2wd. Animals were very friendly and curious. My son loved the cows sticking their heads in the windows. I wish I would have held out my bucket of food later to feed the bison and giraffes. All in all it was a great trip and wish to go again.

Just left the ranch. Had several kids 11 to 14 with us. The kids had a great time. I highly recommend the wagon ride instead of going in your own car. The wagon drivers are great narraters and identify the different animals. If you have a child that loves animals this place is great. One thing to keep in mind is thst some of the advertised animals have to be tsken in in the winter and you may not see everything.

I loved it! it was an awesome adventure. And to see how the animals live an adapt in the wild
life. I would recommend it to anyone. I can not wait to go back. The cows was my favorite. Just to see them walk up and to feed them was a great experience for me. I was scared but at the same time excited.

Lazy 5 ranch is a great place to take the kids. We've been a few times. As the kids age changes so does their experience. It's neat and clean. Only down side is it's a cash only bases.
Know whether you drive through or ride the wagon, you're there on the animals terms. You may have to stop for a large cow...or a baby piglet. It's all part of the experience. You'll be amazed at how big and small the animals are. Over all a fun time!!

This was my third time visiting with my grandchildren ages 5-15. Fun for everyone. It was too cold for us to take the wagon ride so we drove through with our car. What a great experience. Love this place!

We drove 2 hours to come here and it was worth it. Got here an hour before opening, during COVID, and we re first in line. I recommend doing this. The animals look so happy and so well taken care of. Not once did I question their health or wellbeing. And not only was the experience of feeding and petting the animals just amazing, the acres and acres of land that you drive through is just breathtaking considering that you are driving through a farm. Lol don t let the views of the lands get past you. ;) I can t wait to come back when the whole place is open. Def worth just the chance to drive through though.

Amazing to see such a variety of animals together in this unique space. My girls (age 4 & 2) LOVE the hay ride where you get to hand feed the animals as you tour the grounds. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! The only down side is the amenities (like bathrooms and wash stations) are always pretty gross .

If it's been rainy, make sure you call THE DAY OF to verify they will be open. I called a couple days beforehand to ask if rain affected anything, and the lady on the phone assured me they would be open even in the rain. We drove all the way out there and were abruptly told they were closed because of the rain...

Lazy 5 is not only a fantastic place to bring your kids during a time of social distancing, but the staff is FANTASTIC!! I visited last Sunday and there were quite a bit of cars there; I noticed my fuel tank getting questionably low while waiting in line. I flagged down one of the staff to explain and without question, they drove off on their 4 wheeler and returned with a gas container that filled my car to half tank!! My niece thoroughly enjoyed feeding cattle and ostriches, and I will definitely return again in the future.

Great time viewing animals up close to our wagon and feeding them. We took our grandkids and they were thrilled. My cell phone fell from my pocket while we were near the giraffes. Our guide immediately radioed someone to come and pick it up. In minutes my phone was retrieved. Wonderful people!

We have driven twice now from Raleigh and it is always worth the trip! The kids love driving through and feeding the animals and always have a blast. We tried to cover the car with sheets this time but still got food all over! Definitely need to bring a towel or wet wipes for your hands. Always a lot of fun!

If you want to see a million goats and half a million llamas go for it. Not worth the entry fee. Nothing special other then the zebra and giraffe. Rhino wasn't there. Birds weren't out. Animals had skin problems and I personally think they need to control breeding. Almost every female was pregnant.

I wouldn t drive a nice vehicle that you wouldn t ...

I wouldn t drive a nice vehicle that you wouldn t want scratched to lazy 5 ranch. Took my family there today and left with about $2000 worth of damage to a brand new truck. Wasn t the horned animals I had to steer clear of it was the goats. Every time we come close to a goat it would jump on the side of the truck leaving deep heavy scratches. We try to avoid them but the traffic was so bad we sat still for 20 mins on several occasions with no where to go. It s a one lane road that navigates thru the park with no escape route. Animals were a lot more aggressive than I would have imagined. They give you the option to ride a horse and carriage thru instead of drive but there were no available reservations. I called the park after I left to ask about the policy for any damages acquired during the visit and a young lady picked up the phone and said it doesn t fall back on the park and hung up on me. So I called back and ask to speak to a manager and was told she is in the gift shop that I would need to call back. Overall experience was horrible. If the park was properly managed like a real business should be it would have been a very unique experience. One I would have returned for time and time again. However that not being the case I would recommend a few things to the owner or management.

1) to hire a few more responsible employees that better suit customers needs. Most the staff I interacted with were young teenagers.

2) Post signs or have the staff taking money at the entrance clearly stating that damage could occur to your personal property if you choose to take the safari. There are signs saying enter at your own risk but people should be made aware very clearly that damage could happen to your vehicle. Customers who have never been thru the safari may not know what enter at your own risk intel. We were thinking wild animals as a risk not $2000 worth of damage. Now that we have experienced the damage we understand what risk there are but there needs to be clear signs stating this and there isn t.

3) limit how many cars can enter the safari at once. Once we entered we were left stuck in a long line of cars not moving with no where to go, no escape route and goats and other big animals surrounding the car and jumping leaving scratches and nothing we could do about it. If maybe the park only allowed so many at a time i could have kept a steady enough pace not to allow any animals to jump or had a better path around the animals so that keeping us within a safer distance. If you can t control how many cars enter the park then put some staff/security in the pastures to try to keep a steady enough pace on high volume days. Part of the experience is stopping and feeding the animals but when there are 100 cars in a line and the lead car stops for 20 mins to feed the zebras (which they do tell you not to do) it puts the rest of the line in a bad situation. That was our case. We was stuck with no where to go not feeding any animals and goats jumping on the truck trying to get food.

Hands down I could not hype/encourage anything else other than this place. It is the greatest experience I have had with animals ever. The animals are so well taken care of and it always worrisome if the establishment is not taking care of them but you can see they are here. It was two of us and we bought 4 buckets of feed. We came and it wasn t so busy meaning that you can be feeding them longer in one spot. The little walking area that you can feed is awesome as well the animals get so excited to eat. The driving experience is great as all the animals come up to you and the are so pleasant. Be careful with the sheep they like to jump up. You can throw some feed on the ground and the worry about that so they don t jump. Also thanks to Travis very helpful and taught us a lot about shoeing a horse and about the ranch itself. Will be coming again and every time we go.

They were in great need of the roads through out the park fixed. They were also in need of maintenance the bathroom area was deplorable. They walk throuh park was very over grown.
There were several animals hurt , limping, dranging legs. The flys were so bad on the animals it made it hard to feed them. You could tell there were way to many animal's for the land available because everthings was stripped up to where they could reach. No vegetation available for the poor animals that do not come to the car. Sad this was such a nice place.
