US Modular Review

USModular never finished the design phase of my project, and despite many unanswered questions attempted to force me into a construction agreement. They did not deliver finished design documents called for in the contract. A claim with the Contractors State License Board in in process, since they haven t yet refunded the moneythey required to be paid in advance in full for the design phase. In my experience homeowners should stay away from this dishonest builder.

Just completed our single family modular home with US Modular. From our first meeting through handing over the keys Bill answered all of our questions, kept us informed of progress, helped us make decisions and really made us feel great about our decision to go modular. We saved a lot versus building a traditional home and got exactly what we wanted down to the fixtures and finishing touches. Plus we were move-in ready months before we would have with with a traditional build. I can t say enough about the professionalism and value that US Modular provides. I would recommend that anyone in the market for a new home consider US Modular. I couldn t be happier!

They take a check from you as a site and cost analysis 'up front' based on conservative estimates discussed over the phone but then it will come in too high in price and then they try to have you be 'realistic' and come down in price and scope and try to make you feel like you were the one that was not realistic from the beginning. Never give money up front; modular are fairly standard. Also, find a bank to be the escrow and release your funds directly to the contractor as certain 'building completions' are done. Don't be duped like we were. We went into the site plan under the pretense the project should be about $300K and it came in closer to $600K. Also, salesman will probably mention SEVERAL times that he is a Christian and all the good deeds he does. Hope it works out better for others. Good luck.

We hired Usmodular inc to design our new Accessory Dwelling Unit and were impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of Bill , Todd and Abe. Building our unit in factory was fast and we saved time and money in process. We were able to choose all of our interior finishes before our unit was built. USModular was great to work with and I can t thank them enough for their hard work and commitment to our project.

We had a granny flat built in backyard by us modular. It was cool to watch crane pick up the house and put in in backyard. It has 1 bedroom a full bathroom and kitchen and living room. Looks good as it matches look of our house.

Facility doesnt exist. There is no way to go to a place to design your floorplan or a way to look at finishes etc. Was offered a factory tour to see how they build a home.
It is misleading to state you have standard business operating hours and that this is a location when it is simply chosen as a satellite office for a sales person.

US Modular Home Builders has built multiple projects in North County San Diego. The fact that there is no disruption to the peace and quiet of a neighborhood when a modular home is installed, should be a huge factor when planning to build a new single family home. The home is installed in one day, vs. months with a site built home.

Consulted with the team at USMODULAR about building a small granny flat at my house. The understood local zoning and helped me choose the perfect design. Easy and affordable.
