We took the wagon ride and had a good time riding around the park. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly and pointed out the different animals to us and answered our questions. It s a great place to take the family, but be warned that if you take the wagon ride you re outside the whole time, so don t go too far into summer or you ll be wishing for shade constantly due to NC s heat.

I was rather impressed by the space and everyone who worked there. I highly recommend the wagon ride over going through in your personal vehicle, as a wagon ride includes a guided tour and feed for the animals as well as a turn through the trail in your car if you get there early enough. Kangaroos, lemurs, camels, roaming peacocks, and all sorts of other fun animals await you!

This place is a blast!! So neat to see such a variety of animals and be able to feed them. It takes about an hour to drive through and the scenery is beautiful. The kids had so much fun-after a little apprehension about getting so close to such big animals! Definitely worth the drive to get here. Just a tip-buy a few extra buckets of feed because one of the animals will inevitably snatch one from the kids!

Stressful and I'll conceived. If you want massive animals with horns up against your vehicle this is is your place. Aggressive animals, poor roads. Take the wagon ride but do not drive through. If you take one bad review seriously let it be this one.

We love visiting lazy 5 ranch. The animals are well cared for. It's definitely worth going for a wagon ride! It's fun for all ages, even if you don't want to feed them. They come up close so you can just watch and have a good time too.
If you care about your car, and it not getting scratched by hooves and horns, then go on a wagon ride. The animals will get close to your car.

This is an awesome place to go. What a great experience. The animals are gentle giants. U don't realize how big some of these beautiful animals are until they are in ur face..lol We loved feeding the animals and watching them interact with other people. We are planning another trip in a few weeks so we can ride thru in the back of a truck.. which will be even more amazing.. my 3 yr old granddaughter wanted to take every animal home because "they are adorable".. friendly staff, great prices.. took us a little over 2 hrs to drive thru..we loved every minute of it.

My family had a wonderful time at Lazy 5 Ranch! Drove 2 and a half hours to get there after hearing many great reviews from friends. We got there right when they opened at 9 which I would recommend before the line gets long. The line moved smoothly and it only took us about an hour and a half to drive through. We literally laughed the entire ride through! It was so much fun! We had the cutest llama follow us forever and it was so funny. We got 4 buckets of feed for a family of 4, and I might would ve gotten 5 to be on the safe side. One of ours got stolen out of my daughters hands by one of the animal thieves!! Haha Much needed laughs and family fun during these stressful times! Highly recommend going!

I do have to throw in to watch out for Mr. Grumpy old man on a green tractor. We were literally at the VERY end of the path about to pull back onto the main road to leave and we were switching seats back (I had sat in the back and my kids were in the front due to our back windows not going down all the way). This very rude man comes up to us and yells at my children to get back in the car. In a very awful tone. We were just switching seats walking around the car, and I was emptying the feed mess from my car mats wayyyyy out of the way from anyone - nobody else even was behind us. So he tried to ruin it for me right there at the end - not cool, Mr. Grumpy Pants. Just beware of him and you ll be fine!! ;)

Loved this place!! It wasnt as long as the zoo but we got to touch the animals. My kids had a blast feeding the animals. The Longhorns came straight up to the wagon and stuck their tongues out!. Its not everyday you get to touch a buffalo! On the website it said you had to make reservations to ride the wagon. But they wasnt too busy when we got there so we rode the wagon without reservations. We had fun and we will be going back!

Driving thru the country side viewing all the different animals was fun! My grandson was able to standup thru the sunroof, he giggled most of the time! The pumpkin throw using stretch bands was also fun to watch! He also enjoyed climbing the hay bale castle and jumping into the box of corn!!

We were told they would be open in the rain drove over an hour but they were closed due to the possibilities of storms. So think twice if it is raining and it doesn't help or call ahead. We did get to see some animals as we drove in just wish we could have seen more

It is a nice place to take the kids . Love the animal's ! We road the wagon , the driver was hilarious and had a lot of information about the animal's. I would suggest the wagon after that you can take your car in for another look . Bring a picnic lunch and some water & soda and stay a while .

Great way to see a lot of exotic animals up close. I got to feed & pet a giraffe ! It's about as close as you can get to a safari in the greater Charlotte area. I think they really try to care for these animals and provide a safe and happy environment for them.

Lazy 5 ranch has gotten pretty packed since covid took over this year! I'm not too sure on how busy they were before 2020 but aside from the (petting zoo, kids playground, and shops) all being closed, due to "social distancing", employee's from this attraction are handling being overwhelmed quite graciously! Not to mention it's one of the few fun places actually open momentarily and great entertainment for children!!

Fun and different! Staff were kind and informative. But just to be clear - these are large animals that get a little assertive about that bucket of food. Be ready for your car to get shallow scratches and for food to end up all over your car floors! Otherwise, I'm sure reserving the wagon ride is worth it.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Calling all children, adults, grandparents and best friends, this attraction is something beyond your wildest imagination. Hearing about Lazy 5 for some time now, I finally had the opportunity to go today. The premise of driving through a zoo and feeding the animals was pretty darn appealing for my group from the get go and the energy of the animals paired with the desire for food made for quite a memorable afternoon. First, this attraction is ridiculously reasonable. Secondly, this is a HUGE space. Plan on spending at least an hour to an hour and a half driving through. The grounds and layout are peaceful and have kept true to a natural habitat. The cohabitation mixed with the endless amounts of space for the animals to roam and frolic really appealed to me! This is a trip that the whole family will remember and be begging to go back to over and over. Thank you Lazy 5 Ranch for blowing it out of the water, taking such good care of your inhabitants, and giving this guy and his loved ones a really special afternoon! Keep up your good work!

Totally awesome experience. Some of those animals canbe greedy!!! Buy more buckets than you think you need.

ALSO, no one mentioned it to me, hold the bowl outside your car. If you don't they put their head right inside and there will be food everywhere.

Best place to spend time with kids. We can drive through their fenced ranch and feed different animals like deers, different types of goats, Ostrich, emu, giraffe. Other than giraffe all other animals are living in their natural habitat. They also have collection of birds and play area. Visit this place in the morning when the animals are active.

We went on a rainy summer Friday and had a wonderful time! I went with my four children ages 9, 7, 5 and 2. We drove an hour to get there and left early so as to arrive right when it opened (at 9am). We were the first ones there and had a lot of fun feeding the animals. They only take cash so be sure you bring enough. This is a great place to visit during the pandemic since you can stay in your car the entire time.

We bought 4 buckets of animal food (1 per child) and it was the perfect amount. It was a little intimidating at first since the animals come right up to your windows to be fed. I kept my windows up for the first 5 minutes after having them all the way down and seeing that the animals would try to stick their whole heads into our car. We found a good balance with opening our windows halfway and then putting animal food in our hands and letting the animals eat from our hands (they will take the entire bucket from you if you hold up the bucket). After a few successful attempts and a little further into the outdoor zoo, we were able to roll our windows all the way down and we had a lot of fun feeding the animals! Even my 2 year old was comfortable feeding the animals from his hand by the end! We fed deer, ostriches, emu, llama, pigs and even a few cattle. They were all very gentle and not aggressive at all.

It was not crowded and a great adventure even in the rain! We will definitely visit again and check out the playground and ice cream place once the covid quarantine time has passed!

I came here with my daughters 1st grade class and we had a great time. The wagon ride through the ranch was not like I expected. The animals are so used to humans so they will come right up and lick your hand to get the food. There were a ton of them too. I liked the setup for the giraffes, we were able to touch them unlike other places I've been to. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours!

I went here for my birthday i am 17 and absolutely loved this place. The cows and zebras were so kind ate right out of my hand. Besides the amount of slobber all over the place I would definitely do it again

Bonus :
We just got into the trail and didn't know what to expect but boy do they know what the feed bucket is. I finished feeding an Emu or Ostrich and we pulled away he comes back up to the car and I have the bucket in my lap he just sticks his head through the window and continues to take all the food

This place is fun for all ages. I recommend buying way more buckets of feed than you think you'll need! The animals are big but gentle, and feeding them from your car let's you go at your own pace.
