This kid friendly ranch is great. Fun for kids and adults. I love the wagon ride. The wagon stops so we can feed the animals. So much fun. We go once every year.

We took the wagon ride and had a good time riding around the park. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly and pointed out the different animals to us and answered our questions. It s a great place to take the family, but be warned that if you take the wagon ride you re outside the whole time, so don t go too far into summer or you ll be wishing for shade constantly due to NC s heat.
I was rather impressed by the space and everyone who worked there. I highly recommend the wagon ride over going through in your personal vehicle, as a wagon ride includes a guided tour and feed for the animals as well as a turn through the trail in your car if you get there early enough. Kangaroos, lemurs, camels, roaming peacocks, and all sorts of other fun animals await you!
This place is a blast!! So neat to see such a variety of animals and be able to feed them. It takes about an hour to drive through and the scenery is beautiful. The kids had so much fun-after a little apprehension about getting so close to such big animals! Definitely worth the drive to get here. Just a tip-buy a few extra buckets of feed because one of the animals will inevitably snatch one from the kids!
Was very busy, animals were not interacting. Probably will not come back, wasn t even offered a pass for next time or money back! Highly disappointed!!!
It was interesting I did it for my daughter but I really wish they had a wagon ride so I wouldn't have to get my car dirty
Stressful and I'll conceived. If you want massive animals with horns up against your vehicle this is is your place. Aggressive animals, poor roads. Take the wagon ride but do not drive through. If you take one bad review seriously let it be this one.
Kids had a blast. This is a great place to go with kids that are going stir crazy in the house. Lots to see and do.
Please take your family here.....the kids will love it!!
Because it has a petting zoo and clean restrooms and cool safari rides and cool animals
Our 3 yr old enjoyed very well. 2 hour well spend especially during Covid times.
This place is amazing!! I absolutely loved it! If you are looking for a unique place to make memories, this is it!
I do not recommend this place we travel a lot for be here and time to wait in car was more than 5 hours. It s just do money and if you can go and loose the money if you can no wait 5hours.... I would say need people who handle this place better....
We had an amazing time!! Absolutely loved feeding the animals out of our hands. Definitely will be visiting again!!
We love visiting lazy 5 ranch. The animals are well cared for. It's definitely worth going for a wagon ride! It's fun for all ages, even if you don't want to feed them. They come up close so you can just watch and have a good time too.
If you care about your car, and it not getting scratched by hooves and horns, then go on a wagon ride. The animals will get close to your car.
This is an awesome place to go. What a great experience. The animals are gentle giants. U don't realize how big some of these beautiful animals are until they are in ur face..lol We loved feeding the animals and watching them interact with other people. We are planning another trip in a few weeks so we can ride thru in the back of a truck.. which will be even more amazing.. my 3 yr old granddaughter wanted to take every animal home because "they are adorable".. friendly staff, great prices.. took us a little over 2 hrs to drive thru..we loved every minute of it.
Great family fun! The animals will put their heads in your car!
My family had a wonderful time at Lazy 5 Ranch! Drove 2 and a half hours to get there after hearing many great reviews from friends. We got there right when they opened at 9 which I would recommend before the line gets long. The line moved smoothly and it only took us about an hour and a half to drive through. We literally laughed the entire ride through! It was so much fun! We had the cutest llama follow us forever and it was so funny. We got 4 buckets of feed for a family of 4, and I might would ve gotten 5 to be on the safe side. One of ours got stolen out of my daughters hands by one of the animal thieves!! Haha Much needed laughs and family fun during these stressful times! Highly recommend going!
I do have to throw in to watch out for Mr. Grumpy old man on a green tractor. We were literally at the VERY end of the path about to pull back onto the main road to leave and we were switching seats back (I had sat in the back and my kids were in the front due to our back windows not going down all the way). This very rude man comes up to us and yells at my children to get back in the car. In a very awful tone. We were just switching seats walking around the car, and I was emptying the feed mess from my car mats wayyyyy out of the way from anyone - nobody else even was behind us. So he tried to ruin it for me right there at the end - not cool, Mr. Grumpy Pants. Just beware of him and you ll be fine!! ;)
Loved it buy lots of food for animals its a long way through
Little pricey if you have a family but great experience
Loved this place!! It wasnt as long as the zoo but we got to touch the animals. My kids had a blast feeding the animals. The Longhorns came straight up to the wagon and stuck their tongues out!. Its not everyday you get to touch a buffalo! On the website it said you had to make reservations to ride the wagon. But they wasnt too busy when we got there so we rode the wagon without reservations. We had fun and we will be going back!
Let ne first start of bye saying such a bummer for ne and ny family.I have to drive 3 in a half hours to the actual location i arrived at 1045 am and was turnes ariund due to it being full.I made sure i lookes the new covid times and dates as well as contact the Ranch.maybe we will be anle to go another time.
Driving thru the country side viewing all the different animals was fun! My grandson was able to standup thru the sunroof, he giggled most of the time! The pumpkin throw using stretch bands was also fun to watch! He also enjoyed climbing the hay bale castle and jumping into the box of corn!!
We were told they would be open in the rain drove over an hour but they were closed due to the possibilities of storms. So think twice if it is raining and it doesn't help or call ahead. We did get to see some animals as we drove in just wish we could have seen more
Good place for families. Crowded on the weekends. Unique experience, many exotic animals.
This is a awesome place to go if you want a good family trip... Lots of animals you can feed. I would personally recommend this place.
Bethany was so great with the children she made it fun for everyone and also she made it educational. Thank you so much for a great time.
My family loves this place. We come to Charlotte for vacation. And this place is always on the list of thing to do.
It's a great place, friendly staff. The roaming peacocks are great. First time on the wagon. IT'S SAVE HAVING YOU VEHICLE SCRATCHED UP! But need signs that are easyer to see. An a lot of sign about the animals are gone
So much fun! The wagon ride is a must! Our guide, Shelby, was very knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable with his sense of humor.
It is a nice place to take the kids . Love the animal's ! We road the wagon , the driver was hilarious and had a lot of information about the animal's. I would suggest the wagon after that you can take your car in for another look . Bring a picnic lunch and some water & soda and stay a while .
One of the coolest thing I ve ever been too. Able to get close to a ton of animals.
I loved the wagon ride you can do though the petting zoo was not as fun. Great place for birthdays etc.
First of all I love animals and I enjoyed feeding them. Only thing they could pave around picnic tables too much dust.
Was disappointed that Rhino was no longer there and walk thru was closed
Take the wagon ride. You would regret it. Best way to see the park.
Great way to see a lot of exotic animals up close. I got to feed & pet a giraffe ! It's about as close as you can get to a safari in the greater Charlotte area. I think they really try to care for these animals and provide a safe and happy environment for them.
My daughter enjoyed herself. Wish there was more animals to see.
Very fun and unique adventure. Come close and personal with lots of animals . They walk right up to your car window it's like your own safari so don't drive any fancy vehicle lol
This is an awesome experience for the whole family! Remember to bring cash!!!!
Always a pleasure to take my boys here. Love the experience with animal encounter also with good service. Wagon rides is a must do. Thanks for having us.
Dont expect to stay clean while driving through to feed the animals. Awesome for anyone with or without kids, just TONS of drool
Lazy 5 ranch has gotten pretty packed since covid took over this year! I'm not too sure on how busy they were before 2020 but aside from the (petting zoo, kids playground, and shops) all being closed, due to "social distancing", employee's from this attraction are handling being overwhelmed quite graciously! Not to mention it's one of the few fun places actually open momentarily and great entertainment for children!!
Always have a wonderful time. Closest you ever get to some animals
Great value for money get away for people with kids.
Fun and different! Staff were kind and informative. But just to be clear - these are large animals that get a little assertive about that bucket of food. Be ready for your car to get shallow scratches and for food to end up all over your car floors! Otherwise, I'm sure reserving the wagon ride is worth it.
Place where we can have fun with friends and family . Closest place to get experience nature. Chamce to feed animals. Kids enjoy a lot.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Calling all children, adults, grandparents and best friends, this attraction is something beyond your wildest imagination. Hearing about Lazy 5 for some time now, I finally had the opportunity to go today. The premise of driving through a zoo and feeding the animals was pretty darn appealing for my group from the get go and the energy of the animals paired with the desire for food made for quite a memorable afternoon. First, this attraction is ridiculously reasonable. Secondly, this is a HUGE space. Plan on spending at least an hour to an hour and a half driving through. The grounds and layout are peaceful and have kept true to a natural habitat. The cohabitation mixed with the endless amounts of space for the animals to roam and frolic really appealed to me! This is a trip that the whole family will remember and be begging to go back to over and over. Thank you Lazy 5 Ranch for blowing it out of the water, taking such good care of your inhabitants, and giving this guy and his loved ones a really special afternoon! Keep up your good work!
Super fun place to take the family, not to expensive totally worth it!
Totally awesome experience. Some of those animals canbe greedy!!! Buy more buckets than you think you need.
ALSO, no one mentioned it to me, hold the bowl outside your car. If you don't they put their head right inside and there will be food everywhere.
Best place to spend time with kids. We can drive through their fenced ranch and feed different animals like deers, different types of goats, Ostrich, emu, giraffe. Other than giraffe all other animals are living in their natural habitat. They also have collection of birds and play area. Visit this place in the morning when the animals are active.
I really enjoyed it.But...you should have some sign to tell what the animal are.
Everyone HAS to experience this place at least once. Love this place
We love this place! Up close and personal with all of the animals. A unique experience for kids of all ages.
So awesome wish I has known about this place before.
Liter everywhere. Saw many variations of cows and birds. Did not see nearly as many animals as advertised.
This place was awsome. They had wonderful staff and the best personalitys so did the animals the horses pulling by trailer had the walking farts lmao. This was the perfect family expirience. Ps. Afterwords we went to the farm country store and it was not that fare away frome the zoo hats off tho them what a store they even had the old style ginger ale that would bite you back lol
We went on a rainy summer Friday and had a wonderful time! I went with my four children ages 9, 7, 5 and 2. We drove an hour to get there and left early so as to arrive right when it opened (at 9am). We were the first ones there and had a lot of fun feeding the animals. They only take cash so be sure you bring enough. This is a great place to visit during the pandemic since you can stay in your car the entire time.
We bought 4 buckets of animal food (1 per child) and it was the perfect amount. It was a little intimidating at first since the animals come right up to your windows to be fed. I kept my windows up for the first 5 minutes after having them all the way down and seeing that the animals would try to stick their whole heads into our car. We found a good balance with opening our windows halfway and then putting animal food in our hands and letting the animals eat from our hands (they will take the entire bucket from you if you hold up the bucket). After a few successful attempts and a little further into the outdoor zoo, we were able to roll our windows all the way down and we had a lot of fun feeding the animals! Even my 2 year old was comfortable feeding the animals from his hand by the end! We fed deer, ostriches, emu, llama, pigs and even a few cattle. They were all very gentle and not aggressive at all.
It was not crowded and a great adventure even in the rain! We will definitely visit again and check out the playground and ice cream place once the covid quarantine time has passed!
Love this place!! Friendly staff, feeding the animals is a great experience for kids and adults alike.
It was great really had a good tike. Good please to take the grandkids
Ranch was a decent size and there were plenty of animals. Just watch out for the oxes as they just whip their heads back and forth with no care for where their horns swing!
Lazy 5 is my favorite place in Mooresville!! I try to go as much as I can and this is the first place I bring friends or family if they are visiting of if they've never been. It's like Disney's Animal Kingdom..... but way better!!
I came here with my daughters 1st grade class and we had a great time. The wagon ride through the ranch was not like I expected. The animals are so used to humans so they will come right up and lick your hand to get the food. There were a ton of them too. I liked the setup for the giraffes, we were able to touch them unlike other places I've been to. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours!
What a great experience. Wild animals by the hundreds. Eating from your hands. Who knew this was in the middle of no where.NC. Worth the drive
Fun! My little one loves all of the animals. Great place to spend an afternoon.
Awesome experience. Recommend buying 2 buckets of food if you go. Well worth the price of admission.
I went here for my birthday i am 17 and absolutely loved this place. The cows and zebras were so kind ate right out of my hand. Besides the amount of slobber all over the place I would definitely do it again
Bonus :
We just got into the trail and didn't know what to expect but boy do they know what the feed bucket is. I finished feeding an Emu or Ostrich and we pulled away he comes back up to the car and I have the bucket in my lap he just sticks his head through the window and continues to take all the food
This place is fun for all ages. I recommend buying way more buckets of feed than you think you'll need! The animals are big but gentle, and feeding them from your car let's you go at your own pace.
Loved, loved it. Good day to feed animals, go there every time in NC
Wonderful place to visit and you can tell they're not just in the business for money!
Awesome place to go .take your kids or grandkids all ages will enjoy
The animals are very friendly!! I loved feeding the deer and llamas!!
