Loved the food. Very romantic setting. All staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Brunch on the river had great ambiance and the service was good. Regarding the food, it's definitely one of the best buffet style brunches I've had.
Cowboy luxury is an odd concept but that s L Auberge. Definitely Western and thoroughly pampering. Stay there.
We had the most wonderful experience at L Auberge. The entire staff made it a point to ensure we were having a perfect stay. Our front desk gentleman than checked us in showed as much enthusiasm as we did to begin our stay. Rene, the valet, who was so incredibly friendly, helped us with our luggage, gave us some dinner recommendations, and was just overall enjoyable every time we interacted. We had several meals in the restaurant on site. Breakfast was delicious, lunches were so peaceful, the prix fix dinner was elegant and exquisite. The setting by the creek was breathtaking. Every server was attentive and friendly. We had a garden cottage with an outdoor shower, which was so cool. We could walk to lots of things and did, but really, there was no reason to leave the resort. We also spent the afternoons by the pool and the pool bartender was friendly and made good drinks! We enjoyed massages in the spa which really hit the spot after several days of grueling hikes! I would give it more stars if I could!!
We visited L`Auberge De Sedona following our beautiful wedding at Red Rocks and it was awesome! The service was incredible; they did everything they could to make us feel like we were the only customers. It's a beautiful restaurant, with great service. Highly recommended!!
Amazing Steak! Truffle fries were outstanding and atmosphere very romantic and calming. Excellent staff!
Wonderful experience, service, amenities were great. Mid November was one of the best times to visit. The property and surrounding area is cool at night and perfect during the day.
Best place to stay in Sedona service is over the top - stayed once in July and booked for September before we left beautiful setting next to Oak Creek - you will love it
Went here for the food after a long day of sight seeing in Sedona. Service was great. Ambiance was excellent and the food was spectacular. My cousin proposed to his wife here. That's how nice this place is. First rate.
We ate at the restaurant which was amazing. The service was impeccable and the food was top quality. The view out back is beautiful and you can eat out there also.
We were rushed upon arrival, escorted late, told that we needed to hurry because we were inconveniencing people, threatened with losing our requested table, then told to hurry up once again so that they could get home.
All in all I spent $800 in 4 hours.
That's $200 per hour to get treated like I was a burden.
Save your money. There are plenty of places to spend your money at. Allow me to name a few that you should choose instead.
The Princess
The Sanctuary
The Boulders
The Phoenician
The Royal Palms
Don't waste your money here. Establishments of this level are about service. This is by far the most pretentious service that I have ever received. From the way I was spoken to, treated, and even looked at. I over looked it the first time thinking it was the specific event, but I will not be spending money here again.
Unbelievably great service. The staff really, truly cares for the guests. They were really nice to our party of 7. We stayed in Cabin 29, with a koi pond in front of the cabin, a gym close by, an instructor gym, and 2 restaurants with amazing food and drinks. I strongly recommend this place!!!
We went to Sedona (from Chicago) for a relaxing trip before our first child comes along in May. We selected Sedona because it seemed like a calm destination. Naturally we also wanted a relaxing and luxurious property to compliment our destination. We knew in advance there might be a chance it would be chilly in Sedona in February so we watched the weather and packed accordingly. Little did we know that Sedona does not normally get large quantities of snow and they got about 15 inches in one day. The town itself shut down but the resort staff came up with fun activities to embrace the snow and that blew me away. Being from Chicago we didn't mind the snow and had the gear to enjoy it but folks from California or Texas were not expecting this so I am sure they were even more grateful for the hotel making it a fun experience. The room was clean, spacious and luxurious - we stayed in a Spa Cottage and it was worth it. We loved the staff and the resort was beautiful. We may need to come back once our son is born. We had a great trip!
Nice facility and great spa but skip the restaurants. Over priced for poor quality food.
It is so relaxing sitting in the chairs by the creek.
We loved the cottage view suite. it was so nice in January we just made another reservation. Excellent vegan dining and great vibrational atmosphere.
It's breathtaking and the staff are amazing. Everyone is welcoming and incredibly accommodating. I'm going back for my second visit in 2019 and I know I'm never going to want to leave. Well worth the money.
My wife and I ate at Etch for some appetizers and drinks. Good service, but I think they were trying to be strict on serving from the right side, but where we were sitting made it pretty awkward. The truffle fries and mussles were great, wanted to soak up the mussles sauce by getting more crostinis but they took it while I was in the bathroom. Creek was really nice to watch and hear bubbling by and the sunset was supreme. Overall nice, but not perfect.
It is very, very nice, very beautiful; The Christ of the Chapel of the Holy Cross, beautiful !!
There are so many things like souvenirs, clothing, items befitting the Sedona place. Its reddish mountains are impressive. In addition to the Restaurants and walks on the hillside.
L'Auberge is wonderful! Our experience was fantastic from the beginning. Our Bellman/Valet was very friendly, as was all other staff. We stayed in a creekside cottage which was gorgeous. Room was very clean and the decor was beautiful. Outdoor shower was a great way to connect with nature. We ate dinner and breakfast at Cress on Oak Creek (the on site restaurant) and all the food was fantastic and the view of the creek was great. For dinner we had foccacia, gazpacho, arugula salad, and mushroom pasta. All of which was incredible and we definitely recommend. For breakfast we had the panini and avocado toast which were both great as well. We had a great experience and will definitely be back to stay again soon. If you're considering L'Auberge I highly recommend.
Wonderful place to stay. Convenient to the local shops and service was great.
It's beautiful, the staff is very friendly and accommodatingand most importantly, they are very dog friendly!
Special spot! Serenity by the creek with wonderful staff and service! Thank you Sarah for treating us so well. We will be back!
We attended a dinner and wedding at L'Auberge. All of the waitstaff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The catered meals were all outstanding!
Restaurant staff were very accommodating and friendly. Location was perfect, but the food was average, I've had better Reubens sandwich and steaks that are much better tasting for a lot less price than I paid for at L'Auberge.
Absolutely beautiful
The most friendly staff anywhere!
Great food! Fireplace in our "cabin"
Cedar showers were amazing!
Spa was outstanding!
Thank you for the memories!!! Just WOW!
This is definitely a swanky spot in Sedona, I would say it s very nice and the service is phenomenal. The only problem I have is their pricing ? I get the luxury price in Sedona but is it worth it ? I didn t feel it was, however is still worth a 4/5. And it is fun if you can afford it. Look around though better views with reasonable pricing if you can t!
We had dinner creekside. The service and food we're excellent. Be prepared to spend a lot for a special time.
This resort is tucked away on the creek with gorgeous views of the creek and the woods. They hosted the creekside pleine air festival so we were here for several hours watching the artists and their various techniques. They have a creekside cafe which is pricey.
We ate at Etch. Great meal. Food was fantastic. Service was pretty good, but my wife had to get up and get her own drunk once and the food timing was a bit slow for us, but understandably a slow meal was more the expectation. Very pricey, but not unexpected given Sedona
The People made it, food, service and the Spa was wonderful
This place is amazing! Must see to believe. I still can't get overt the fact that this resort exists over the edge of a canyon wall!
This place is an absolute dream. I'm sad to leave. The only slight recommendation I would have, is that the mattresses are quite firm. Keeping a foam topper around for those who prefer softer would be amazing.
Stayed in the lodge, clean rooms, great food and drink, amazing location, top notch service. Would stay here again
"A Simply Beautiful & Relaxing Atmosphere" ... a must experience "Outside Dinning" by the Creek with excellent food and pleasant staff. I will be back for more!
Service was impeccable the grounds are awesome great place to stay friendly staff
If it were possible to give L'Auberge 6, 7 or 8 stars, I would. This was a truly magical stay in a mind-blowing location in Uptown Sedona. Our vista view suite was magnificent-- large living room with a fireplace, very large and comfortable bedroom with lots of storage, a huge bathroom complete with an outdoor shower. Enormous deck with 270-degree views of the Red Rocks and, since it faced south, we could catch both sunrise and sunset from there. Everything that came out of the kitchen was first rate, whether it was on the creekside Verandah at breakfast or in the exceptional Cress restaurant in the evening. The "banana split" and blue corn tostada for breakfast were original and really amazing. Great, extensive and reasonably priced wine list for dinner. The entire staff was great-- front desk, valet parking, restaurants. Service in Cress was particularly fabulous. The staff-driven car service to and from almost anywhere in Sedona was incredibly helpful. The only spotty experiences were in the spa, which seems to be somewhat held back by an inexperienced staff. Otherwise, this was a week well spent in a great resort, and we will definitely be back.
Very disappointed in the service for the money!! Booked 3 months in advance and got the worst room available. Then spent over 45 minutes trying to get room service. No answer. Finally went to front desk to order. Very disappointed in this place for the money!!!!
This review is for the restaurant. Overall the food was good but not for the price. The cooks also seemed to have lost control of the salt shakers as all the dishes were incredibly salty. The service was good but we were literally the only guests in the restaurant so they were not busy. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hostess was quite comical as all the tables were empty and it took her around 2-3 minutes to seat us after fumbling around with our OpenTable reservation.
Lunch was fantastic. Shaken Cobb and mussels ordered. Service was excellent.
Beautiful and relaxing. Onsite restaurant is one of the best in the surrounding area.
Definitely a 5 star resort. Very peaceful and relaxing.
I really loved this resort. It s very seldom I wish to return but I really would go back to this one. It was enchanting and perfect. The red rocks of Sedona are beyond. A couple of my close friends have gone since then have really had an an amazing time there.
Now this is an absolute gorgeous place That's somewhere I would definitely want to come back to and check out and just if you want to take a nice vacation somewhere this looks like a spot to me everyone's there very nice everything super clean as well as pristine as well as very relaxing definitely see if you can get some deals trying to book ahead
Beautiful place, it has a nice view and a great menu. Totally worth it if you are visiting Sedona
Totally and completely awesome. Well worth the price for any food lover. Excellent service, food and drink. I'll be recommending this to all of my friends.
Wonderful food in a fantastic setting. We had a great time.
A wonderful getaway! The creek is gorgeous, the cabins are private and incredibly well appointed, and the staff goes above and beyond. Highly recommend.
Had breakfeast here the other day and the service was great as well as the food.
Beautiful, comfortable resort. Great staff and service. Loved creekside restaurant. Highly recommend
Beautiful venue, awesome food, great bar. Would definitely visit again.
Absolutely awesome experience... will tell everyone to stay and enjoy... #1
Great location, hotel is beautiful. The problem was our room 551 totally outdated with stains in the carpet and in the toilet seat. Room very dark and depressing. The heating system was not working so we almost freezed the 1st night, we reported this and it was fixed 50%, they disconnected the humidifier in the heating system and 2nd night was a nightmare, we could not sleep due to coughing all night. Hotel is vey expensive and I expected a lot more for the price payed. Not returning to this hotel. There are better options in Sedona.
Good food. Great atmosphere with the outdoor seating by the creek.
Valet staff was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable. Housekeeping, and room service were fantastic. The room however could use a little love.
Wonderful resort to stay at. So peaceful and beautiful. The staff was so helpful and friendly.
Attended a wedding here over the weekend. This has to be one of the more beautiful places to be married. Everything was incredibly nice and went extremely well
Had an amazing Christmas dinner here. All the courses were expertly designed by the chef. Great service. Well worth the price.
I am writing this review mid-stay. Just WOW.
This is one of the best hotels I ve ever stayed at. And that s after having traveled to more than 30 countries. The location is purely magical. Every part of the hotel overlooks the river. Last time we stayed at the Enchantment in Sedona - loved it, but it was gigantic and super busy. People were taking mini carts to go from point A to point B - which I hated, as a European. It s the opposite here at l Auberge. Everything is quaint, intimate and at human scale.
I looooove Kristy (I m sorry if the name is wrong ahah). The super kind and professional host at reception. The right amount of everything. She s perfect.
The room is phenomenal. I hear the river, the birds singing. It s built in a way that you rarely have to see someone else. Very romantic and private.
The food is exquisite. Although the one improvement area would be waiting time (waited 40 mins for our meals during two different services).
Another thing I love is that they have several tiers of restaurants at different price bands. But all of them have the same view - which is very pleasant. If you pay for the fine-dining 4-course menu (where the service is on time by the way), you are on a deck right on the river. If you pay less, you are a few meters higher up but still overlooking the river. I love that.
You can tell the management team is very smart and nice. Some waiters have been here 18 years to give you an idea. Also, some details reveal their spirit: they present you a list of restaurants they recommend, even though they offer all types of meals themselves.
There isn t much else to say - that s the beauty of simplicity (well, ahah, luxurious simplicity ).
Oh - one more thing that non-Americans will adore: upon check-in, you re told that what you pay for the room covers almost all potential tips! Meaning you don t have to wonder if you have to leave a tip or not every time a staff member says hello to you. Which is a relief. That s super smart of them.
Love you guys!!! :-)))
Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience here. The service was really slow. We weren't upset by it but it was noticeable that many tables were receiving much faster and more attentive service. Moments after I asked about our food and the long wait, it came to our table. I think they just forgot. The kitchen was also out of 3 dishes we tried to order and the menu was tiny so it left us with little choice. My dish (the brown rice bowl) was cold by the time it arrived, except deep in the middle. I was glad I added steak to it because it would have been sort of a lame dish without it. I will say the location is top-notch and the outdoor seating is key. They even have heat lamps and blankets for when it's cold.
Great location.
There is a heater for eating outside in winter.
The scenery is very good for walking along the river.
The bar is open during non-lunch times, so you can enjoy snacks and drinks throughout.
The waiter's response was very good.
Unfortunately, because the female response is mechanical and conversations are mechanically spoken over and over again, I wanted you to be more relaxed.
The atmosphere I wanted to go home early was made, the dinner was fluttered, and when ordering dessert, it was said that the kitchen was cleared because it was late, but dessert was available for the time being.
During the meal, cleaning started from the kitchen with a completely different tune from the restaurant. It was a pity that the atmosphere was crushed as the voices and tunes were heard up to the restaurant.
My wife and I dined at Cress for our anniversary, and the food was absolutely spectacular. The tasting menu was priced at around $85 per person which is about on par with, and maybe even slightly cheaper than, most upper end restaurants.
We split each course, and our top three favorites were the foie mousse, the smoked veal cheek, and the venison. The halibut was also amazingly prepared, and quite honestly every dish was fantastic.
The service was excellent, and our waiter Michael had a great sense of humor. We were already having a great vacation in Sedona, and Cress was a perfect anniversary dining experience for us.
Service at valet is fantastic. We were disappointed in the facility. Our room was just plain with no views. We did change the room to a better room
with a nice view. There were times when the pool had no towels. The restaurant was always so busy we
were not attended to. We actually walked away because no one was taking our order. Trout was served with bones, and salmon was so salty I could not eat it. Breakfast potatoes were cold. Not what you would hope for at a luxury hotel.
Hostess was carrying a lamp.... food was terrieble. Mediocre service...
Best place -- ever!!! Great secluded location. Adorable cabins. Fantastic restaurant. Well worth the cost; but the other guests can be a bit pretentious at times. But what do you expect from NY tourists? Wish I could live creekside forever.
**For those debating between L'Auberge de Sedona and Enchantment, L'Auberge de Sedona is hands down the only choice**
L'Auberge de Sedona was absolutely fantastic, the personnel and views were impeccable. I was a bit hesitant of staying here because of prior reviews (ie musky smell/too expensive) but thank goodness I trusted my gut and stayed here. Everyone was super friendly from valet, concierge, housekeeping to waiters. Location is also perfect close to everything but far enough from the touristy places. We stayed at a creekside cottage and couldn't have been happier. The fire place was a lovely touch, they have plenty of firewood. Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning. No complaints. A few wonderful touches throughout the facility (endless water bottles) for after long hikes. I cant wait to go back!
I was between L'Auberge de Sedona and Enchantment prior to heading to Sedona but so thankful we decided on L'Auberge because of its facility, personnel, and modern feel. We went to Enchantment one day and it was too far from everything and had a dark/old feel to it. The one thing that Enchantment is known for is the closeup views of the redrocks but even then L'Auberge is the best in my opinion.
So called 5 star hotel. WIFI did not work. Deadbolt on door did not work. No door on bathroom. Paid $30.00 for "staff charges" when it was already paid up front. Wanted payment of $10.00 per day for car parking when we did not even have a car.
L'Auberge was just the mark of excellence. My new wife and I stayed here for about a week and got married on the creek behind the lobby building, near Serenity Point. Every single thing about the resort was second to none.
The transportation staff was amazing, shout out to my man Lee, who hooked us up with some amazing recommendations for the area, both restaurants and hikes.
Brandon and Artie at the bar were very courteous and helpful.
Jay at the front desk was the best, he was super helpful and was always open to talk when I passed through.
We ate our wedding dinner at Cress, and our waiter Michael made sure that the night was very special.
The view from our cabin was amazing. We would drink coffee on the porch every morning and be amazed at the view that we had. Be sure to look out for Snoopy Rock!
Thank you so much L'Auberge for making our special week unforgettable. We'll see you again for our anniversary!
