Kingston Residence Of Sylvania Reviews

6 mos ago my family felt the biggest relief. We found Kingston the assisted living in Sylvania. Being a non medical family, we so depended on the professionalism of your staff. The Director of Nursing and her team led us through this difficult journey. Our mom and dad were a great challenge to us physically and cognitively. Every question was answered and need was met. Any problems we had were resolved with kindness and compassion. We never expected perfection, but they were pretty darn close. The communication was consistent and informative. We saw smiles by all the employees and other residents.Our family were very involved, at times to a fault, but your caring team was truly respectful. We had our dad next door at rehab for a while and found a vast difference in the staff. We were spoiled for sure by the assisted living. But we understood that it was under different leadership, and it showed. Even though dad was there, our Director of nursing was our contact and go to person throughout, thank goodness. I tell our friends constantly of our experiences. Our family is grateful and hope everyone has the opportunity to put their parents there. Thanks for all you did and do for others!

I really like my apartment and having my own things. We have fun live entertainment. I was a phys ed major and I think the exercize classes are really good. Everyone both staff and residents are very nice.

I happen to be reading these reviews and I was taken back by the few with lower stars. The facility I know where my parents lived were great with their care and follow up. I couldn't of been communicated with anymore. They always kept me in the loop with anything happening. My parents have been gone for years however I tell everyone you must check out Kingston you won't find a better place.

Always clean and contemporary. Disappointed with 3rd shifts lack of a canteen... Ran to get sandwich for patient no snack option except PB and GRAHAM CRACKERS.. Although a good option. A sandwich would have been nice and simple. Friendly and attentive!

Very short version... told 1 thing at interview of all they will do for dad. Once signed and moved in, WOW! He needs thickened liquids that we provided and help didn't remember or couldn't find it. Dad needed help with brief and clean up, told staff, NEVER returned to help, TWICE! They combined different meds into 1 bottle. Dad needed redirecting to stay engaged with other residents, no one knew what I was talking about. When supervisors approached about things, "we'll need to address it at meeting". Dad had fallen out of bed and was there for about 4 hours before helped. Was in hospital twice in the approx 5 months there. Thank goodness we moved him out! I would recommend DO NOT put a loved one here, but if you do, stay very involved!

Our family picked Kingston Residence of Sylvania for my mom because of the amazing care, quality, staff and facilities. I think staffing is superb. They are highly educated and all very caring. I am so pleased and relieved that she is supported and cared for. If anything ever happened, the would be right there. She is so happy these days with all of the activities and company! Thank you!

My mother was a resident at Kingston for 4 years before she passed away last summer. She began in Assisted Living and spent her last 2 years in Memory Care. Aside from being grateful for excellent care provided by the staff and the guidance given by the administration, I want to share our family s perspective.

We view Mom s time at Kingston as a true gift. Following her stroke we knew she could not live alone. Kingston provided the support she needed physically and allowed us to be her family. We enjoyed our days together while the staff were her caregivers. This is something I did not realize was needed until we were in the middle of it. To be able to spend quality time and know that she was well cared for on all levels was a gift that cannot be measured.

I would also like to say that working in this environment is very challenging. It is apparent to me, as a former Physical Therapist, that this staff has been properly trained on how to transfer, maneuver patients, provide hygiene care, assistance with feeding, and be in tune to residents needs as they come up. This was especially true in Memory Care. I always felt the staff genuinely cared for Mom. It was especially evident the week that she passed away as we all shared tears and memories together.
Kingston and it s caring staff will always hold a special place in my family s heart.

I really like living here and my apartment is beautiful. I can have all of my own things. I have met a lot of very nice people. The food is very good. I became much more independant once I started living here. I can just do the things I want to do, they do the rest!

Breakfast is delicious and they put swiss cheese over my scrambled eggs for me! I love my apartment, my bed is by the window so I can hear the rain. The aides and my housekeeper are very nice. It is like living in a hotel!

I can not say enough about the love and care my mother gets at Kingston Residence of Sylvania. It is the absolute best assisted living!!! We feel like a family!!

The staff are all very nice and they are always willing to chat. I am very social so this is important to me. I love my apartment, it is very easy for me to manage. There are lots of things going on. You can even have a pet if you want one. I also spent time at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania for rehab. They went out of their way to help me and make me stronger. Kingston is the best!

I love my apartment! It is filled with all of my favorite things and close to all of the activities and dining room.

I was looking for months for a place to take my mom. Then a friend told me about Kingston. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. My sister did all the tours and paperwork as I work out of town. When it came time to move her to a higher level, the DON, Admissions and staff all helped us through the process. My mother's experience was passionate staff, caring administration. I would highly recommend them. They are honest about what is happening and sometimes hard to hear however in the long run it was so they could provide what was best. Thank you Kingston to all the staff.
