Very clean today! This is from April/May 2020. 8 people on my flight.
My first time flying to St. Louis STL Airport. I was surprised with this modern but old building facility.
Very clean and controlled. Everyone was wearing masks and staying 6ft apart
Very clean and lots of space for social distancing around 6 pm
Crappy airport. Small, security lines are insanely long most of the time during busy travel season, and the rental car return route us just ridiculous! It almost takes 20 minutes to just drive to the place. You are on and off the highway and sometimes there is not even a sign for the rental car return. Plan extra time for returning the car.
Very helpful staff and spacious and clean facilities. Except that there are no signs in Spanish.
Lambert is very friendly environment been working there over 16 years and it's been a blast
Since the renovation the airport is nicer but a little too spread apart in relation to the traffic.
USO is awesome, but TSA was slower then I've ever seen. Luggage handlers moved so slow and this is even with a delayed flight. Poor experience with the airport staff, not the airlines fault.
Airport looks like not working full capacity. The plane in another hand was full. The airport was clean. One of the elevators was not working. Most of the airlines boots appear empty. Good luck trying to find someone to help you to answer your questions.
It's so clean because no one fly's anymore, it's safer and easier to just drive now and these days
Had to have a wheelchair because of a bad foot. The ladies that helped me were very nice and helpful.Took care of me from the moment I sat in the wheelchair. I took out all my electronics but they were nice to put them back while I was being padded down by Officer Wright (I believe that was her name.) She was also very nice and told me what she was doing before she did it. This experience has been a nice one. Every time I come through St Louis I never have a problem.
3min from front door to airplane !!!! Can't beat that ! Very clever customer friendly design
I am disabled and the service and extra help I recieve is outstanding! From the moment I enter and make a customer service agent aware of my needs, they are on top of it! They help me get through security, help with all my bags, put me on the plane first, and put my carry on bag in the overhead bin for me. When flying into St Louis they have a wheelchair waiting! They manage all my bags and get me to my ride. Everyone is always so very helpful and nice! I'm so grateful for their service. It allows me to travel again!!
I've flown out of here many times. It is a clean airport quick to get in and out of and usually have no problems at all.
For a busy airport it is surprising easy to get from place to place. An early morning departure with all ticket counters open was such a pleasant surprise and I was greeted with smiling faces everywhere. TSA was efficient and as quick as they could be. Monitors showing all incoming and out bound flights were always up to date and finding answers to questions was easy to do. The decor was awesome and finding a snack or coffee was easy.
Clean, efficient and friendly in all parts of the airport.
The airport is huge spacious. Each waiting area seating has its own power supply for charging. Loads of variety on foods at good price. The view is amazing.
I traveled with my handicapped mother, and every single time we had been in the arport THEY had been extremely nice and helpful with us.
I've been through this airport several times throughout the years and have never had any thing bad to say about it. It is not the biggest or most cutting edge airport but it is usually clean and organized. The lines in my experiences have always moved swiftly. It seems to be a well run operation. If they would install some sort of transportation system like a tram or at least some of those moving side walk systems I would give this airport five stars all day.
TSA is usually pretty good, but the airport is old. And the shuttles, Jesus. I had to call to request one, told them where I was, and they STILL drove right past and left the lot without me. Leave an extra 20 minutes to reach the terminal! And don't assume they'll stop at every shuttle stop.
Always fast and easy, I don't recall having any issues with them. When I broke my ankle before a Vegas trip they were more than accommodating.
This is an ok airport. Easy enough to get into and out of. The concourse needs more improvements than what was put into it. The restaurant and shops close way too early, but that might be that no one is coming through. My biggest gripe is it should not take 40 minutes to claim my bags. This is a recurring theme for this airport.
Smooth and efficient process from touching down, finding luggage and getting taxi.
TSA Pre Check line was empty for my departure...easy to navigate. However, the aesthetics leave a lot to be desired. Its quite ugly on the inside.. reminds me of a mall from the early 90s..the worst part is the LACK OF FREE WIFI....how am I supposed to conduct business when I can only access wifi for 60 min on a slow connection without paying $$? (can't use hotspot because signal for Verizon and Sprint are both poor)...slap some "make up" on this place, offer free wifi, and add some plants or art or SOMETHING.
Their info desk doesn't know the difference between the arrivals side and departures side... not at all helpful, the food prices are sky high $12 and up for a simple entree.
Went in for TSA pre check....service was good! But no sense of urgency
I found this runway to be adequate but that's about it. It lacks many of the bells a whistles one expects from a runway like this. I would recommend this runway to most anybody, but if you are a real runway snob you might look elsewhere.
Always kind helpful I'm handicapped. All had masks. Thank you
This is a medium sized airport with minimal traffic. You need to take a shuttle to individual rental car businesses. Give yourself extra time to return your rental and get to the airport. Going through security should be a breeze since this place rarely gets busy.
Airport will give you 1 free hour of wi-fi. Good luck finding an outlet to charge your electronics.
Everyone was nice and polite the flight was smooth I will fly with this Airline again
The place is nice, but extremely long getting from one end to the other. It is clean and safe. The facility has come a long way.
Lambert is a pretty good airport. Southwest, American and Frontier are three of the biggest operators at the airport, so you'll be over to cover most regional destinations. In terms of location, the airport is relative to the city and the surrounding suburban counties. Metro and Rental options are available on site, parking around the airport varies from $10-$49 a night.
Customer service and security were polite and communicative... The only restaurant open was lazy, sloppy and so slow I left after waiting for over 5 minutes for service. I would rather spend$10 on a bag of peanuts.
Southwest terminal is seriously lacking food options.
The Wi-Fi is garbage. Worst place for an overnight layover.
I appreciate the ongoing upgrades here, I really hope they'll eventually include dining and shopping additions. For the size, STL has limited eating and shopping options, even compared to similiar sized airports like PDX or MCO. But, the options they have get the job done, they're not totally nonexistent like the old MCI.
The wayfinding signage has been upgraded and looks really nice! Bright blue, lit from behind. Very eye catching and readable. STL is laid out nicely for wayfinding anyways, but these are very nice visually. Getting in and out of here is almost always pretty quick for me, and I appreciate having the option to take light rail to the terminal- a rarity for US cities. The terminal buildings are (mostly) well maintained and relatively clean, empoyees generally friendly and helpful. The airport is (well, was, before Covid-19) expanding its service to more cities, and I wouldn't be surprised if we regain trans-Atlantic flights in the next 10 years. Above average but room to keep improving.
No complaints. It will be nice when all of the businesses reopen.
Never really had a bad experience flying in/out of Lambert. Still a nice airport with plenty of airline choices local and international. Friendly TSA staff with initiative to get you through quickly and smoothly.
The airport was a nice experience. The length of walk from the terminal to baggage claim is a little journey (hike) but the baggage was quickly available.
Airport wasn't very crowded. Only a few places to eat before security, might be more after.
The airport is not bad, but they provide only 20 minutes of free WiFi. This is not the 1990s - most airports in the world are in the modern era and now have unlimited free WiFi. I will plan to fly into another airport in the region for future travel.
Was nice, and clean. The pick up area was small, but fortunately came late so there was less issues than there could have been.
I forgot an item at a restaurant and i called the air port ONE HOUR later when my plane landed and they said that they wouldn't go look for it EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM EXACTLY WHERE IT WAS and that I just would have to wait and see if someone turned it in. Which of course nobody did, so I lost a $200 jacket due to their laziness, carelessness and poor customer service.
Two restaurants in the whole airport - burger King and dunkin. If you have less than 30 minutes before boarding don't order your food or it will be left sitting on the counter while you're already in the plane
Great in and out in no time, all employees were very courteous
A lame menu, so I opted for burger and fries, lousy bun, lousy burger and cold, soggy, greasy fries and this was at peak dinner time. Better go to McDonalds, Burger King or Wendys.
Clean, no crowds, pretty fast service and polite stuff
It's not a big airport but it has a great USO for military personnel and veterans. However the airport itself is not very clean and they have scam artists looking to get people at every single chance. The TSA ain't friendly and is lackluster in force. If I was a terrorist I would fly out of here to do my work but I'm not. Could be better if it was cleaner and they had decent security to combat the scammers and decent airport security like other airports have.
You must see a freedom loft atTerminal 1 just out side of A gates before security check
I would've given a 5 star except for the very limited choices in dining and shopping at the airport
I had to go there for fingerprints & background check. And they wouldn't accept my SS card because it was with my maiden name instead of my married name. And since all the SS offices are closed thanks to Covid I had to go home apply for a new SSC and wait for email receipt showing I requested a new card, print it out then drive back up there. Oh and I forgot to mention the parking lot is $5 a hr no matter what so even though I was there less then 10 min both trips it was $5 both times.
Came to pick up unaccompanied minor grandson at Terminal 2 to find parking garage full. Told to park in garage at main terminal. There is no way to get from terminal 1 to 2 walking inside and no sidewalks to walk the road outside. Waited in hot sun with no awning for 15 mins for terminal shuttle . Felt sorry for man who could not navigate the shuttle stairs due to disability. I am sure he had no plans to ride a non ADA shuttle today. I was not late for my flight but only because I planned on arriving 1.5 hrs before he was due to land. Horrible airport.
Easy to get through security, but there wasnt many places to eat that were open
What a miserable place to spend even an hour in.
Everyone from restaurant employees to TSA are just awful at what they do.
I travel every week and this is now in my top 3 worst airports i've ever had to fly in and out of. There was one extremely nice agent, I wish I got his name but I did make sure to let him know how much I appreciated him.
I was literally chastised by a TSA agent for a misunderstaning. These people are rude and miserable.
There are so many people out there that would love your job and I sure hope that most of the staff here are replaced.
Quick getting out to the curb. Uber was fairly obvious (because the app has directions) the signs are ok at the airport though. People/staff are always helpful.
Far behind the competition in wifi services and charging stations.
Great food option, quick TSA, and fairly clean for an airport! I don't mind flying out of St. Louis.
The airport was easy to navigate. TSA was quick.
The only negative was lack of places open. That part was unfortunate but understandable due to covid.
I fly thru St. Louis to go back east a lot on SWA but this may be the last time. It seems that I always have delays or issues with my flights. The food choices are poor and the service is lacking. I am avoiding St.Louis from now on. I would rather book a longer flight thu another city than get stuck in this dump again.
Didnt go throughout whole airport. But the people and staff I encountered were nice. Bathroom were clean and had handicapped stalls. Plus brewer right by my gate.lol
They shut down the water fountains for covid just so they can sell you a $7 bottle of water. What a scam.
