Went on a Monday, very easy to social distance. Lived in GA all my life and never been to this beach... BEAUTIFUL emerald clear water, better than most of our ocean beaches in GA. You can pay $10 just for beach access or like $50 for water park tickets. Water slides could use a bit more instruction/safety guidance- feels a bit more opportunity to get hurt than say white water rides... SO IMPRESSED with the cleanliness of the grounds and especially the restrooms. I even saw staff cleaning ALL of the, what had to be, miles of hand rails all throughout the park! Wish they had showers in the restrooms or on the beach so you could get rinsed off for plans after the beach. Family friendly music playing on speakers throughout park, huge screen showing music videos. Flyboarding available for additional cost which was one in a lifetime experience! Other activities- can rent kayaks, bring floats, umbrellas, and toys to make sandcastles... Food at landshark decently priced and good for a decent meal at the beach. Wish they would allow coolers/outside food on the beach and it would be a 10!

Ultimate season passes this year were well worth our money. We will continue to purchase them for years to come. It s never quite so busy you can t have fun. Food is better than in the past. Many perks to being a pass holder.

Ok, but it's getting more and more expensive every year and I'm starting to wonder if it's all worth it. Furthermore, they don't charge you to dock your boat, but charge you the second you go on the beach. Buy by this point in time, you've already gone through the trouble of docking your boat, getting everything stowed, etc. Kind of shady... I will say that this place is good for family's with kids. It's fun and safe with areas of the beach completely blocked off to boat traffic.

Really fun and unique lake getaway. The lake is beautiful but it's really cool how they've built a nice sandy beach, waterpark, zip line, restaurants, big screen outdoor TV, and other entertainment into the lake experience!

Not worth the full price, but it was worth the discounted food donation price. It's clear that Margaritaville is trying to update some things, so maybe it will get better in time. The main problem is that tons of lights were breaking down throughout the night. Also definitely getting heavily 'branded' with the takeover. You won't forget who owns nights of lights.

I ve been coming here since around 2005. I missed last year, but based on my other years before.... this was a ripoff. I ll never come back. We drove 2 hours and paid $55 to get in and it was so disappointing. I could literally cry.... this was supposed to the finale to our Christmas season and it just wasn t what it was supposed to be. And.... country music blaring???!!! Just no.

My son and I went twice over the 2016 summer break and loved it! Short lines if any at all. Not overly crowded. Took advantage of a great deal for admission tickets on Groupon. $15 to park.

Be prepared to hoof it up hill with your tube pretty far for the few water rides they have. But the place is decent family friendly fun on the lake with great fireworks on special occasions!

Fun water park for the entire family. They have a variety of slides, a kiddie area with slides, and a big wave pool. Plenty of options for food. A little pricey at regular price so look for deals.

NOPE. Never again. Some lights were lovely, some were outdated, but overall it wasn t worth the money. Carnival area had overflowing toilets in both bathrooms, mud was everywhere, adjacent parking lots were already full at 5:30 so we had to walk half a mile each way, and the radio music wasn t working. One short ride on the Ferris wheel was $16 for 2 adults and a kid. Tubing looked fun but we were all over it by that point.

Remember where you parked too. A bazillion roundabouts, and nothing marked.

The ticketing and security check-in took longer than Disney with a lot fewer people. Management needs to look at the setup. Plenty of ways to expedite. Small crowd to get tickets, and then the line to get through security, get wrist bands, backing up into the parking lot. Staff does not know what they are doing. The hour it took to get through the gate is money y'all won't be getting.

This is a great place aka (netflix the Ozark) to take the family. The wave pool on one side then walk under the tunnel you have the beach setup to the Lake. Beach sand, bar setup, different eateries, as you walk the lakeside. The Landshark restaurant was really good. Several slides and ziplining across the Lake.

This established was the worst time I've had since moving to Atlanta. If total admission price was clear I never would have wasted my money on a scam this soul retching. I wasted $45 dollars to not be able to enjoy the fundamental practices of visiting the beach. The cheeseburger I ordered was the worst $11.50 burger I've ever eaten in my life. All in all, if I were able to leave a review without giving a star I would. It wouldn't have been so bad if I could enjoy my beer on the lake for $45 dollars instead of it being confiscated at the entrance. Big

Great family fun place for the kids at the waterpark! Get a season pass and plan to come back more than once. Pack your own food in a cooler and leave it in your car as food and drink prices at the concessions are on the high side. Best time to come is in the afternoon and plan to stay into the evening as the crowd and lines for the rides wind down as everyone leaves for dinner.

It was awesome. It's so pretty and really gets you in the mood for Christmas. We just did the lights but they have snow tubing which looks like so much fun. We are planning on a return trip to do the tubing.

Although the food is much better than what used to be at sunset cove, the service is absolutely terrible.
After being seated, 5 waiters walked by our table and just ignored us. Finally after 25 mins we were able to order drinks. 15 mins later we asked about our drinks and finally recieved them. Food was the same way, took many inquiries to get our food after an hour of sitting. Waited for desserts and second drinks which never arrived. Extremely unorganized.. Manager came to our table and tried to give us a bogus excuse. Basically very poorly trained. Too bad because it has so much potential, but for the high cost they need to improve their service significantly.

Ok so didn't finish the day. This trip for me was a 4/10 and this rating is only for the paradise beach / margaritaville areas 4th of July event. This lake is huge and could have better or totally free spots. Owning a boat seemed like it would get you the best enjoyment here. And the best part was the staff. Very nice, helpful and cheerful.

Good news is that this area could get a higher rating, never a 10/10 but it could be 7 or 8 experience if you follow the following advice:
1. For the July event get there around 6. Earlier is not necessary, especially if it's an aggressively hot day. Enjoy 3 hrs of lake time then setup to watch the fireworks. I left around 5 and I feel there was still plenty of space to setup.

2. If bringing a big float or alot of swimming area is desired choose a spot closer to the boats section. The swimming area there is large enough for a huge multi person float. If you want to just lay in shallow water with kids or monitor your childs play on the inflatables pic the location closer to the inflatables.

3. Bring all the chairs and sunshade you need. They do have about 6 areas that provide shade and a good amount of chairs but these items go quick. Even if you show up at opening time.

4. Freeze any water you want to bring the night before and put them in a standard grocery bag (they do not allow any type of insulated bags or any beverages other than water).

5. Finally come prepared to give them all your money for beverages and food other than water. I will say the prices are not crazy and I had no problems with taste.

Now things specifically for my review: Honestly the sloppy admissions method observed when getting there early, the no coolers restriction and the restricted swimming areas are the major flaws for me.

I was hoping for a typical lake experience, lounging on my multi person float drinking beverages, taking long swims while my niece and nephew enjoyed the lakes inflatables. Nope the inflatables are part of the water park. So we just payed the $10 per person holiday beach admissions.

1. Entrance has no signs, markings or rope to create lines. I got here two hrs before opening, hoping to ensure I get a good spot for the fam who came later. I was 2nd in line and around 9:30 had a solid line forming behind me. But as soon as the ticket agents come to the booth. They start creating make shift lines and every one from the back swarm in, taking advantage of the lack of structure. The place really needs to setup separate lines for season passes and day ticket purchases at the very least.

2. No coolers of any kind are allowed. That include bags with insulated liners. They insist on full bag checks but do not have areas setup for it before hand. I brought Gatorade and water that all had to go back into the car. I planned to buy there food and cocktails. But I thought I could atleast save money with my own beverages, nope. Any place should know if you have good food, your gonna get some of my money, but this place is a bit aggressive about getting it all. The 4 bag inspections before getting to the lake wasn't a high point either. They will sniff thermoses.

3. The swimming is restricted. No one is allowed to swim outside of the blue ropes for any reason. And that area is really shallow and small near the inflatables.

Disappointing! That's how I'd describe the day my wife and I spent there. We bought tickets that gave us a fast pass for the rides so we didn't have to wait in line for the rides. However, no one at the gate where we got our wristbands told us they were out of the special band you're "supposed" to get for the fast pass so we were given the regular wristbands only. The general attitude of every employee we dealt with was apathetic. We were told that the company only cares about ticket sales and NOT customer service. Well, congratulations! You successfully accomplished your goal. We bought tickets and received awful customer service. DON'T waste your money unless you don't care about customer service.

My 3 kids and I had a great time. Thought it would be packed with people on tues evening but it wasn't. No lines. Had a groupon for an all day pass that allowed us to do everything inside as much as we wanted. Ice skating, rides, tubing, seeing all the beautiful lights, warming up by the fires lit throughout amd listening to the festive music. Glad we chose to visit.

We buy annual passes every year and that is the way to go if you re local. Slightly overpriced for a single day pass if you ask me but I suppose that helps to keep it from being over crowded. Great fun place for the kids and plenty of bars and restaurants to keep the parents happy. Being so close to us, this adds to quality of lake life. Very happy it s here.

I had a Groupon to visit this place and it was so worth it! I am in my 20's and this place was so much fun. They had great rides and the snow tubing was great and the line was moving fast. I would say the only down side was the ice skating. The skates were old and stunk. Other than that, I would recommend this place.

Group of friends and I rented a boat for the afternoon on Lake Lanier with Margaritaville expecting a great afternoon. Everything started off fine until we docked and an employee said that they would charge $125 to replace the propeller. We asked what could ve caused damage because we didn t have any issues or incidents with the boat all afternoon. The employee said we could not have done anything to prevent the damage and we wouldn t have even known anything happened. We were extremely confused because he agreed that it wasn t our fault and that the lake had a lot of debris recently and that the previous two renters had to pay as well. This made no sense to us and we tried to explain that it wasn t our fault and part of their regular maintenance and operations. He walked away saying he was done with the conversation and didn t want to deal with us anymore. Upon going into the office to pay, the manager showed up and handed us a charge for $250 so we asked how everything doubled. He said the employee outside doesn t determine pricing and that the manager determines pricing. We knew were were getting screwed over so asked how pricing could double like that. Another employee from the front desk threatened to charge us $500 if we didn t leave and slammed our receipt on the table. We ended up leaving but wanted to share this warning with anyone thinking about renting boats with them. Pricing is not transparent, employees treat customers like trash, and it is pretty much a guarantee that they will charge extra fees once you dock (quote from one of their more honest employees as we left - not naming him). There are a lot of rental companies on the lake - stay away from these guys if you want to enjoy your time on the lake!

Landshark Restaurant is 52 steps down, plus 15 more and a nice walk from the parking lot. Coming back it's mostly uphill. puff puff. The Perfect Margarita (11$) was small and in a flimsy plastic cup. The preformed fish and chips was hot and tasty, the cole slaw very good. We were the only ones there and service was good. Prices listed for sports activities were very expensive. 15 minutes of ski-boarding was $39. We satisfied our curiosity and won't be back. Looks like they're preparing for big crowds.

As a family we have been season pass holders for 4 yesrs. Love the commute, park and staff. Camp grounds need work but we are still happy to whenever we visit. Nes changes promised and looking forward to being part of the growth.

I was upset that there was no music playing. We were told a radio station at the gate, but then it wouldn't sync. My brother called the park, and they said the music wasn't working that night. It's odd that a radio station isn't listed on the pamphlet. It makes it so much better to have music. I'm glad I had the $15 off coupon.
