Group of friends and I rented a boat for the after...

Group of friends and I rented a boat for the afternoon on Lake Lanier with Margaritaville expecting a great afternoon. Everything started off fine until we docked and an employee said that they would charge $125 to replace the propeller. We asked what could ve caused damage because we didn t have any issues or incidents with the boat all afternoon. The employee said we could not have done anything to prevent the damage and we wouldn t have even known anything happened. We were extremely confused because he agreed that it wasn t our fault and that the lake had a lot of debris recently and that the previous two renters had to pay as well. This made no sense to us and we tried to explain that it wasn t our fault and part of their regular maintenance and operations. He walked away saying he was done with the conversation and didn t want to deal with us anymore. Upon going into the office to pay, the manager showed up and handed us a charge for $250 so we asked how everything doubled. He said the employee outside doesn t determine pricing and that the manager determines pricing. We knew were were getting screwed over so asked how pricing could double like that. Another employee from the front desk threatened to charge us $500 if we didn t leave and slammed our receipt on the table. We ended up leaving but wanted to share this warning with anyone thinking about renting boats with them. Pricing is not transparent, employees treat customers like trash, and it is pretty much a guarantee that they will charge extra fees once you dock (quote from one of their more honest employees as we left - not naming him). There are a lot of rental companies on the lake - stay away from these guys if you want to enjoy your time on the lake!
