I love LACMA. They have great exhibits and it's a perfect spot to visit for the day. I miss Pimento, the restaurant which is under construction. YUM! My favorite museum is the modern one close to Fairfax. I think they could make the museum shop less cluttery and it would be more fun to shop there. Like instead of carrying a whole line of someone's jewelry just pick one or two of the best pieces.

Every second Thursday of the month, Los Angeles County Museum of Art transforms into a big giant art festival. All the art galleries open their doors to the public, the food trucks line up to fill hungry bellies, and talented people display their art work on the sidewalks. You truly get the feel of Los Angeles by being there. The creativity infests the air and you can't help but to feel motivated and have butterflies while witness amazing art.

Huge collection allowed me to spend hours in just one building. Parking was easy and reasonably priced. The location is convenient, I started my day here then walked to some nearby shops on miracle mile. Docents all seemed very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Being Southern California resident, we were able to enjoy this museum on a Tuesday. Its free on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Tickets are normally $25. Look to spend a whole day here looking at different artwork from paintings of Pablo Picasso, sculptures, architectural designs. Some exhibits allow photo taking. No videos. Plenty food choices, cafes to sit and enjoy the day. Would totally come back again.

I had an awesome time at LACMA. This is a great date spot to spend an hour or plan your whole day around. Lots of interesting pieces and of course the famous street lamps exhibit which you can actually get to from outside without buying a museum ticket. The tar pits are directly connected and is another great (and free) date spot. Street parking can be tricky but there is a garage for $$.

Goods were there for the street lamps, but a visit is worthwhile, but you have to be careful: those who park in the museum car park pay directly for the whole day. With us it was $ 16 to park for 15 minutes

Great museum. Check exhibitions online and plan your visit, you will not manage to visit all off them in a day. I liked Japanese and art of Latin America- this is something you do not find often in museums.

Never went inside because we only had a hour and the $25 entrance fee was too much for the time we had. However, there is a lot of art to see outside in the (free) gardens, and as it shares the site with the tar pits, loads to see, and all for free!

The standard price per-adult is $20.00. I would recommend bringing your children to experience the vast offerings LACMA has to offer. LACMA also has food & small arrang, went of craft service e.g., beer, snacks, sandwiches but, I would recommend bringing you own lunches for picnic on their gorgeous lawn nearing the back.

If you love more modern art, then this museum is great. Unfortunately, not the kind of art we enjoy as much. And about 50% is closed for renovations so there might be more at that we like, but it's hard to tell.

While I loved the art that was here, I had one MASSIVE problem with LACMA.

What they didn t tell us was that over 50% of the museum was closed when we attended. We had no context about what the size of the closings were just that there were closing. Went through all buildings in less time than our local cities art museum.

Classic LA destination that lives up to the hype. This is the place to go for a comprehensive history of art and a lot of really interesting pieces. The special exhibits are always amazing, and the lamp posts are a must see!

Loved it! so much to see and do, perfect day for a family to spend the day. great art collection, very open space. Plenty of Picasso, Matisse. Japanese section - with the most stunning lacquer container selection.

Huuuuge! I spent hours there and still wasnt done. I had to get dragged out of there. Its insane how much art is inside that building. I do advise people to bring snacks though, the food is small and it is expensive. Also there's a huge amount of poke stops there
