LACMA is always on our agenda wjhen we go to LA. There is always something worth seeing. The 20th century art is great, but as with so many museums they are always changing things and a third of the place was closed when we visited. Annoying.
Variety of permanent and temporary works and interesting architecture of buildings. Highly recommended to visit
If its a museum will be perfect if tourists can go in for a fair price, because just members can go in.
Great place to go to chill & get to know someone while checking out some hella cool art & innovation.
Such a great museum to visit! It s a popular one to visit in Los Angeles! I ve been several times and plan to go back many more times!
Spacious, inviting and always a great day in the heart of LA!
Wonderful place. Gorgeous, perfect for taking your photos and getting to know a little more about the beautiful city that is Los Angeles. Easy access by bus, lyft or Uber. You can meet people from all over the world in this little piece of the city. Enjoy and take wonderful photos.
A good place to chill with your family. 5 from 5 :)
Super beautiful, classic movie scene, super expensive
Very interesting exhibits. I enjoyed the 3D exhibit. Seeing 40s, 50s photos in 3d was cool!
Great museum. But spend part of the afternoon and the beginning of the night so you can see the lights on.
It's nice but if you're just going to see the lamps try not to park in the museum because it's rather expensive! It does have a nice square to seat and chill for a while! The tar pits are right next to it and there are some food trucks around it!
I love museum's but this one is my favorite of all time.
Lovely area, really clean and tidy. We went to see the guillermo del toro exhibition and it was really interesting.
Living in Los Angeles, I used to visit LACMA every 6 months. And I have always enjoyed its interesting and valuable exhibits in addition to my own works.
Now I come to LA every year and the first thing I do is visit LACMA.
A must visit place when in LA. Place iOpen all night long in safe area.
Your staple LA art scene. Lots of the art, sculptures seem in commercials, movie sets. And don t forget to check out the tar pits. After museum hours near the tar pits it acts as an ad box dog park.
I went to LACMA before with my friends from Elizabeth Learning Center back in December 10th, 2013 which was three years ago during the field trip, and this was a really nice museum with cool art and many others.
Really had a good time here with the family. Lots of different exhibits to look at and it was interesting for the whole family. Really liked that they had several interactive exhibits so it was more than just walking around looking at stuff. Good mix of several art mediums. If you have kids under 18, you should check out the kids portion first. You can even get free visits for them there and have some fun painting. Overall was a great time
LACMA was super cute. No matter if it was daytime or nighttime the photos came out adorable and instagramable. Definitely a place to visit it does get super crowded during night time so I recommend going during daytime.
Amazing Picasso collection including multiple sculptures of his.
Every time we have a meeting we always visit this coffee shop. The staff was courteous, expert and courteous and very helpful in every way.
Really enjoyable place for a day trip. Good exhibits and installations to get lost in. Keep in mind that some of the special exhibits require reservations and/or additional ticket costs.
I guess it's the timing when we visited or I don't really know how to appreciate art but I think it wasn't worth the money. See my pictures and please tell me what I'm looking at -_-.
We were there for the first time and it was amazing!
Art and things. Multiple buildings with exhibits. Head toward the centre and watch your favourite LA instagram model do photo shoots!
I love this world-class modern art museum in the heart of LA. New exhibitions are always coming through so no two visits are alike. It doesn t have the views or the classics of the Getty, but it s definitely worth a visit!
Cool spot to sight see. If you go at night, the lamp post are on. You can go to The Grove to walk around, and then take pictures here. Sometimes they have food trucks across the street. And theres the La Brea Tar pits next to it. Take your kids and family, walk outside or go inside, which ever you will have a good time. Lots to do.
An incredible museum with tons of epic installations, have you seen a lot of pictures from different people with the same location ? Surely one of those is here, spectacular installations, great expos, live music, art, culture, parking, cheap prices, what else do you want?
Great museum with many interesting events! Have been a member for years and love hanging out there with friends.
Awesome exhibits combining history and art beautifully.
Such a big place! Charles White exhibit was so moving
Must see place in LA. It was not crowded when I visited there and I got to see the pieces without any wait. I was surprised there were a lot of Picasso s pieces. You gotta visit Renaissance s floor!
Saw the Rain Room and the latest Picasso/ Rivera exhibit. Rain Room was super cool, and while I was pretty familiar with Picasso, Rivera was fairly new to me. Great exhibit.
If you like Museums, this, in my humble opinion, is the best in LA. So much to see, I felt like I only caught 20% of while there, and I was there a good five hours.
The staff at the jazz concert last night was very rude. He told us to get out of the exhibit. However the museum itself is such a nice place. The jazz players were good. We were not allowed to watch up close on the side because of the rude security.
Wow, it was free for us Tuesday. You'll need a few days to see everything.
Exceptional space & experience - and best coffee in LA so far
Great collection in a vibrant building. Good cross section of American and European art and special collections of Asian and Pacific art. Interesting food choices and plenty of places to hang out and chill.
Parking was $16.
I was about to assemble my tripod outside, when one of the guards approached me and told me that they don't allow tripods beyond the perimeter. There's only a certain part they allow, and that is on the sidewalk. And it also means there's only one angle for taking photos.
It's a great place though.
Always beautiful and great exhibits. Plus Urban Lights is great photo spot for locals and tourists alike!
Right next to the tar pits! A block from where Notorious B.I.G. was assassinated! Plus it's in Beverly Grove! Go!
Great expositions and their surrounding grounds are just beautiful and have a lot of character screaming LA all over the place. Have a great morning or afternoon and take some photographs (of course).
In the busy LA days, this is a really comfortable place where you can slowly and gently reset various things!
Disappointed. I am interested in impression art Monet, Degas. Very few paintings.
Great experience, can t say I want to remember since it was with my ex but will definitely have to go back by myself sometime.
Very impressive. We spent a good 5 or 6 hours wandering the galleries and walking the grounds, including checking out the tar pits. From what my girlfriend keeps telling me, My Girl lost her ring in these tar pits. Keep those rings on your hands people!
Amazing exhibits, too bad the security has a bad attitude, really ruins the experience.
Love this place. However finding parking has been rather difficult.
