Really had a good time here with my family. Lots of different exhibits to look at and it was interesting for the whole family. Thank you!
It has a very good gallery to see works by Picasso, you can also find some works by Matisse, Dali and Bruner. So also has an area called La Brea where they have an ice age fossil display. Very interesting museum to visit, if you have a student card the entrance is $ 10 dollars, normal price is $ 15
It was a bit expensive... But we also didn't get the California residence price. But, the museum was lovely and had a wide selection of art. It was nice to get out of the hot sun and be in a cool space.
I have no idea why this is an art museum. Most of the "art" seemed like a child had glued together random toys. None of us enjoyed it.
The Museum is an amazing! I recommend it to anyone visiting Los Angeles! It reminds you of the beauty in creativity. There are now restaurants and it really is a fun experience.
Well worth the visit and price of admission. There s no way that you could see everything in one day. Even if you just come to hang out, you ll be happy that you did.
Fabulous great excellent this art is from a great artist BETYE SARA
Beautiful collections. Too bad that some pavilions are closed in view of the total renovation. However, it is worth a visit. It is a cultural center of the highest level
Many exhibits in various building linked through pleasant walkways on large museum complex
When we were there there was a free jazz concert in the garden. So cool!
A lot to see more than a full day visit so if you only have a few hours map out your visit first
Great exhibits, beautifully displayed. Go! It is a remarkable resource.
Great museum, very nice and varied collection. The special exhibitions were well curated and very exciting. The tour is understandable, simple and very friendly. In addition to the normal shops, there is a small store in the museum that only stocks selected catalogs for lovers! Overall, highly recommended.
My fave spot to do a photoshoot for tourists in LA.
This place is so cool for taking nice pictures and walk around. It will take 4-5 hours depending on the crowd. We must watch 3D theater; I have not seen something like 3D before anywhere. They have contemporary arts and fabulous paintings. Try to get in early if you are going in a weekend. Museum parking is available in Pritzker Parking Garage for 16$ I guess, I am not sure. Please make sure the parking rate before you enter.
Great movies for $2 for seniors and others eligible. Matinees: classic movies screened on Tuesdays. Higly recommended. Nice environment and close to lots and f different things that do. Having 1 or more people with you is a great time in this area. The museum has so much to offer as well. Many other exhibits in the area also
Half of the exhibitions were closed yet we paid full admission and outrageous parking fee. Not worth it.
Really great exhibits. The silk worm chain thingys were the best
This is the best of Los Angeles with proximity to la brea tar pits, Peterson automotive museum and so much more
Some cannot be shot. Many are quite famous, such as Picasso's Head of a Woman (Jacqueline). When he said he did not listen to the watchman, he was guided to the wall near the entrance. It was written in a thin, inconspicuous letter that it was impossible to shoot. The lacma web (about Head of a Woman (Jacqueline)) has no special notes, but it seems to be a private collection. Just borrowed from the owner. Partial, fractional and promised gift of Janice and Henri Lazarof
Lots of art, will entertain for an entire day or two, however not particularly well organized/curated. Special exhibits are much better curated. Great kids activity room--caters to toddlers and older children as well.
Every summer they have a live music at the park by the museum featuring the best bands of Los Angeles playing Latin Jazz and Salsa Music on Saturday s and is free from 5pm to 7 pm bring your dancing shoes also you can bring your own food and drink
LA staple for a reason. Educational and fun for the whole family!
wow lacma has amazing art! make sure to bring your camera , your going to want to capture everything!! expectually in the night the lights outside are sooo cool! really commend this museum and its not expensive at all!
Thursday August 8th 2019, we bought our tickets being told that 3 out of the 7 buildings were closed. In fact, another building was only partially available. Many rooms were closed for inventory. And another building was closed. So only 2,5 out of 7 buildings were visitable. Went to get a refund. Why don't they sell a cheaper ticket when only part of the museum is available? It is not very honest!
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is an art museum located on Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile vicinity of Los Angeles. LACMA is on Museum Row, adjacent to the La Brea Tar Pits. LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States. It attracts nearly a million visitors annually.
Everyone comes to see the Urban Lights and they stay to walk around the LACMA! , there is no admission fee into the LACMA buildings in order to see it. :) Lots of engagement photos are taken here, and it's fun to explore during the day & at late evenings. Great place for pictures!..
Get your pose on!
Nice large place, the Getty is a little nicer but this place is a great place to visit. Ushers were a little rude however.
Perfect on evenings for shootings! The lights make you more beautiful on photos
Time .... you need time and confortable shoes to walk all around the museum. Excellent place to explore and have a great day!!
Beautiful, a must see, worth several and several visits
Great spot for tourists and locals. If you haven t visited this place, I recommend to stop by soon.
One of the best. Hollywood Costume exhibit was SUPERB.
Great art exhibitions includes Roma,Greek
And Egyptian B.C and A.D Christ but the Mexican excavation treasures is amazing.
It might be better to take some time around half a day if you see it. Most European famous works are almost replicas. I think that the contemporary art is the main, including Yayoi Kusama.
A kid was eating the spaghetti art. A bit strange to ducks without any clothes on. 5 stars.
Must go place. Very romantic. To click good pictures go after it's dark, preferably late night when it is not crowded
It was very interesting in a way that anyone could see the beauty of. Very fun for kids as well.
Even the parking lot is artsy. The best of the best is displayed here and the LACMA is famous for a reason. Wonderful and creative space, entrance price isnt expensive and the displays are rhe best. Clean space and well taken care. Highly recommend for families, adult groups of friends, and dates.
Visited while under construction, yet they were still charging full price for the exhibitions currently on display. Can't say it's worth the $25 to get in and certainly not worth the line outside if you don't buy tickets online (thankfully we did). Maybe I'm just not an art person, but perhaps give this place a miss until all exhibitions are available.
Tons of exhibits. It is no doubt large, but not run as well as something like this may demand. If you want to see everything, arrive right when it opens and maybe you can do it. They have an app to help but it also could be better. Worth the price though
Been a while since I've been to LACMA/Museum Row. Took a friend to see the Urban Lights exhibit on the Wilshire Blvd. Side. We loved it!
Museum is under remodeling and two levels of exhibits are closed. The few exhibits we did see were interesting.
Museum and everything else nearby is a great place to visit and just hang out for an afternoon
Fabulous place with a wealth of different shows. The James Terrell exhibit and permanent installation would make 5 stars anywhere in my book.
The architecture is a little weird with exhibit spaces separated by open air but the exhibit spaces are outstanding.
And the food is pretty darned good at fair prices on top of it.
Nice place to visit, make sure to check out the pretty lamp posts outside.
Great Spot for photos, lots of parking around the area. It s hard getting a photo without strangers ending up in it, unless you go at a quiet time.
Most of LACMA is closed for repairs, and there is no warning of this until you wait in line for an hour to buy tickets, which are still full price.
