I recently stayed at the Omni La Costa Restore & Spa for a conference. I found the grounds to be nice and the large room was pleasant. I found the front desk to be pleasant and helpful (especially Alessandra) while the food was tasty. The location was nice, near San Diego and close to the beach. There are a couple of nearby shopping centers, which were helpful too.

I found houskeeping and room service to be lacking. There was a large clump of someone's hair in the shower drain. The next day, after housekeeping came through, there was still hair in various places in the bathroom (on the floor). I had a bucket of beer delivered to the room, but they didn't bring over a bottle opener. The guy said he would be right back with one, but never came back. I also found the bed too soft, leaving my back achy.

4th year in a row here to celebrate our anniversary and overall it was a good stay..... although Ian, at from desk seemed unhappy to be working here. It was almost as if he was irritated with my english/accent. I FELT DISCRIMINATED. The funny thing is I only spoke with him for not even 5 minutes since I did online check-in the day before. The rest of the front desk reps were nice. The entire team at VUE (breakfast) was super nice and professional. The food was so good. The maintenance/room cleaning crew was awesome. The hotel experience overall was great.

When I went to check in my room was not ready. I waited until almost 5 to get a room. The man at the front desk was helpful, and told me I would get a 100 credit and would not have to pay for valet. However, when I got my bill online, no discounts were given. I called and the problem was immediately taken care of by the person in billing. However, later that day a $50 charge and an $18 charge were back on my CC. I have called over 6 times to get this taken care of, and still no response after 3 weeks!!!! As others have said, nice hotel, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RIDICULOUS!

I wanna be a billionaire so freakin' bad. A renowned and beautiful resort & spa, but still exorbitantly overpriced. Drinks start at about $15 each. Spa, massages, facials, etc are astronomical. The pool area is very small and underwhelming for how beautiful and grand the rest of the resort is. The location is as beautiful as the rest of the La Costa area. Our server was curt and bordered on rude, but the rest of the service was pleasant. We would have of course enjoyed our visit more if my golfing skills were that of a top PGA player, and my bank account matched - but we still had a relaxing visit.

I've been to the Omni for golf tournaments in the past, but this was our first time staying here. We were booked for two nights, but we loved it so much, we decided to stay a third night. We were there for a wedding, which was beautiful, but we took advantage of the pools for two days as well. The splash pools were great on Friday, but so crowded on Saturday that we ended up going to the garden pools instead. I worked out in the fitness center twice, and it was by far the nicest hotel gym I've ever used. The food was all pretty good, but very pricey. We ate off-site a few times to try and save a bit of money. Our room was huge, and it had a pull out sofa, which was perfect for our kids. The housekeeping was great, and we always had plenty of clean towels. All in all, it was a great stay.

Such beautiful grounds, such serenity, such very nice staff, such great beds AND pillows, nice choices for places to eat, wonderful people in The Chopra Center(thanks Lindsay & Courtney), great golf course, great spa with fabulous body treatments), nice adult pool area (lots of room, 3 jacuzzis, bar service, lots of towels, plenty of umbrellas), yoga and meditation classes for free. I even left a pair of sandals there and they are shipping them back to me at no charge. I could certainly go on, but suffice it to say that I wished we could have lived in our hotel room for a year! The only negative would be the pricey food items in The Market Store. $4.00 for a bottle of water! and pricey menus in the restaurants. Although we did have the best Halibut ever at Bob's and the shrimp appetizer was outstanding. Loved celebrating my birthday there. A great choice!

One star is too much. I'm not sugarcoating it when I say I had a truly horrific experience from when I parked my car for the round of golf until when we departed. There are virtually NO signs directing you to the pro shop. God help you if you take a wrong turn in the cart bc it'll automatically shut down and you have to push it. The course condition was POSITIVELY AWFUL....shame on them for charging $90....it was worth $20. The cherry on top of the waste of my time and money was when the guy rolling the green on 18 never stopped and we literally were hitting into a green with no pin and a dude on a lawnmower going back and forth like a carnival shooting gallery. I felt robbed. It was so, so bad. This place was once a high end exclusive resort that once held a PGA tournament....oh how it has fallen.

Beautiful resort that offers different dining options.
We tried Bob's Steak &Chop House. Gorgeous ambience and a fine dining experience. We had Vodka martinis with blue cheese olives. We also tried their Caesar salad, macaroni and cheese, with a touch of blue cheese, and prime rib meatballs. Excellent!
Cody was our bartender and server in the lounge. Friendly, knowledgeable and quick service.
We'll be going back, again, for dinner!

Attended an annual hospital fund raiser at the Omni Resort. The food was excellent. It included lobster and filet mignon. The ambiance was elegant and inviting. It is clean and well maintained.

I went for a ball, I'm not sure if it was the unit I was with or the resort, but the drinks were grotesquely over priced and the food that we had was adequate for taste and appearance at best.

The grounds are amazing. Pulling in for a work conference and it was like being on a second honeymoon. Everything was beautiful at night with the palm trees lit up with Christmas lights and the fires on all of the fountains. I enjoyed the waterslides and the adult pool. I just wish the margaritas were a little less expensive. The food that was catered for the event was amazing. Hopefully can find a reason to get back there someday.

Unbelievable experience. Perfect place for families with small kids! From the dining options to the pools with water slides to the proximity to legoland and other great San Diego area attractions. Would absolutely stay again!

The Vue has been really good each time we've visited. The food is "good" but the service and location are great. It's great for adults, but highly recommend for families as there is a great space for them to run around, away from the tables before and after the meal.

Cannot wait to go back. Classic Southern California mission vibe. The amenities are amazing for young families - amazing beach entry pool for kids, adult pool, pool slides, kids club, arcade, family activities, the list goes on and on. On site restaurants are fantastic. The beach is a very short distance from the hotel. Legoland, Sea World, SD Zoo - all relatively local. The accommodations were very pleasant and worth every dollar spent. Looking forward to our next family trip to this resort.

The place looked a little dated. Went there for an office party as a +1, and trying to find the area where it was going to be held was a nightmare at this particular time. There was no signage anywhere, and it looked like it was peak Christmas season with the plaza just full of screaming kids and distracted parents and other busy adults. It didnt help that the printed map for the location had wrong names and directions, but it helped to get there a whole hour in advance. The staff were great, especially the bartenders! Would I go there for another event? No. Would I go if I had the chance to relax and enjoy? Maybe.

Over rated, if your into a Disney land experience than you will love it, over priced, kids all over screaming not a place to relax, more than anything it's a young family resort. My room faced the highway in the older unremodeled rooms, hair in the shower. Not for me

Great atmosphere. Beautiful grounds and surrounding area. Plenty of amenities for relaxing and leisure... tennis, pools, golf, access to trails across the street. My room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Staff is friendly and helpful

Hotel Facilities are a bit dated. You can tell it was first rate when new, but definitely showing its age since last remodel. Service was excellent all around however and almost all onsite food was also great. Bring your own pillow as all of ours were very old and uncomfortable.

I came here for an event, it is a very nice resort! I would like to stay there for a weekend. They have a shopping area with places to eat. Only thing I didn't really like was where you park for self parking wasn't nice, you have to drive in dirt and the gravel is all tore up

I just spent two days and $1500.00 at Omni La Costa resort in Carlsbad. I was put in a villa next door to major construction and was disturbed by loud noise the entire first day. Then I was woken up at 8:00 am to start again on the second day. I was also sharing my room with large spiders and spider webs. I m very disappointed. I have stayed here several times and this will have to be the last.

A beautiful escape for locals and visitors alike! More like a tiny city inside, with pools, family and pet-friendly fun, food, spas, shopping, and more great event space. Absolutely love visiting for a starvation!

I went to the Omni for dinner at Bob's Steak and Chop House. While the resort is beautiful, there is a lack of signs to direct you to the different places the resort has to offer. It was difficult to find my way to a parking lot and to the restaurant.
