Any time day or night this is a must stop for every tourist or local traveling through the Freeport area! Also they are open 24 hours!

No trip to Maine is complete without a stop at the L.L.Bean Flagship Store. My wife bought me a pair of Bean Boots and Bean Boot Socks for as a Anniversary present. Been wearing them 2 days now and love them.

Ok place.. stopped in to stock up on fishing gear..selection is ok.. but when it came time to check out at the counter in the fishing section. The 3 men working there were too busy to help me...telling fishing tales, felt.like they were completely ignoring me cause I was not decked out in fancy expensive clothes..
After 10min waiting at the counter, no one of the 3 said a word to me..kept looking at me while I stood there holding my wallet, I went downstairs to pay..
I think this will be my last time in there..
To the staff in the fishing section..get off your high horse and do your job!!!

It's something to experience, they have several stores, each with a different focus. The prices are absolutely way too high! On everything! Add to that the company has nothing for cats but is obsessed with dogs (I love both so I think it's unfortunate) & the stuffed dead animals on display...... not really looking to go back.

I love this place. Open 24hrs so makes a great late night stop.

A fun place to visit if you're in the area. LL Bean has several stores in this Freeport outlet and shopping district all next to each other. There was the classic clothing and shoes store, home goods store, and outdoor adventures store. There are structures of the iconic boots right outside the store which were very cool.

The "duck boots" water boots are made in Maine!!

Extraordinary place! Ever evolving. High quality clothing, shoes and merchandise. Always in keeping with the Maine State adage: 'the way life should be'. Never closes and with knowledgeable, attentive, yet never overbearing service staff.

The flagship store is the size of a department store and caters to limited outdoor activities mainly hiking, camping and hunting. It's smaller than another competitor's in another state. Prices are on the high side.

The brand is a Maine staple. Reliable and excellent quality. Huge store that occupies a campus now with three different buildings, excellent customer service.

LL Bean is such a great store. So much to choose from and their satisfaction guarantee is well cared for. I have always purchased my clothes from LL Bean and when I do have an issue they replace it right away.

It was a wonder place. Every Thing very organize and local people very friendly

LLBean is a great place to take out-of- state visitors. We enjoyed the fish tank maintained by Maine Inland fisheries and wildlife. We purchased men's blue jeans and a couple of backpacking items.

Our family's experience at Northern Lights was amazing! The lights, the activities, Santa & the real reindeer! And the shopping throughout Main St was wonderful! Our first year there & we'll be back next year!

Used to be a great company. Now they are getting greedy, changed their return policy, and their good customers suffer. Tried to return a pair of boots that were purchased on their old "100% satisfaction guarantee". Now they require proof of purchase where they never did before. This purchase should be covered under the original return policy which I agreed to. As far as I'm concerned this is a breech of contract.

If pasting through Freeport Maine this is a must stop. L.L. Bean has many stores and a lot to offer for the out doors person to view. They offer a life time guarantee on everything they sell and have a lot to offer. They have a complete store just for biking and water sports. Make sure to check out there outlet store for great mark down deals. I purchased a new long distance backpack and the sales staff took a lot of time to help fit me and my wife for me packs.

Great shop. Definitely a nice experience at Christmas. Staff seems nice and they have several departments spread out through several buildings. Definitely a must see if visiting Freeport.

Fantastic selection of merchandise. Bit pricey. Great return policy. If you are looking for the perfect gift. This is your place. So much stuff that they have several buildings that are specialized.

If you love LL Bean - and if you are in the Freeport Maine area -this is a must stop. I have been shopping the catalogue since the sixties - and the online store since it has been available -always great service - BUT when I am in the Freeport Maine area and have the time -I find this store a treat. Instead of online or catalogue - to be able to see the footwear, outdoor and indoor clothes - the vests and speciality sports equipment - and home items like sheets and quilts is a great experience - watch your pocketbook as it is easy to go overboard - - I always feel like a child in one of the greatest toy stores in the world - -

Great, friendly, efficient, experienced help in every department you go to. The setting outside is not only clever but has a relaxing atmosphere like a park. Conveniently located near shops selling a variety of things.

The LL Bean flagship store, what more is there to say.

Loved looking at all the guns; and they stand behind everything they sell even the crappy spincast reels I purchased that fell apart in the 1st 30 minutes of use. They refunded my money so I upgraded to a very nice ready to fish fly rod and reel combo and the pro on staff was an avid flyfisherman so he helped me pick out the best flys for all the different types of fish I will be fishing for from brook trout up north to striped bass on the Kennebec. I'm totally covered! He even set up my reel especially to fit my style and preferences which was worth the 160 that I paid for the premium kit. He knew the right questions to ask and exactly what I needed to get started!

Love this place, always stop by Freeport on our trip to Maine, like to roam the many Bean buildings, and the outlet building

Great store, perfect place to go with kids. Everything is expensive, but a nice place to walk around in.

Rain jacket delaminating, and they wouldn't stand by guarantee given when it was purchased.

Strangely, I loved this place. I was never an LLBean fan. A friend of mine is, and she introduced me to this company in 2000! From a catalog! Today, after visiting their flagship store, I was in awe of how beautiful it was inside. The home store is absolutely beautiful, I didn't want to leave. It's crazy awesome, from the souvenir items, to kitchen, to bedding, to bird feeders! It is expensive, but I think the quality is superb. I bought some gift soaps, balsam fir incense, some handy kitchen items that are very cool. We visited the other shops as well, again huge, but also beautifully decorated inside. There is an LLBean summer park with stage, outdoor hammocks for relaxing and a cute waterfall. A must see if you to Freeport, Maine. And it is open 24 hours! We did our shopping at 1 am.

The flagship Bean store offers nearly everything under the sun needed to enjoy the the great outdoors in just about any way imaginable. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and genuinely seem to care about meeting the needs of each customer. Unfortunately, the quality of Bean goods isn t nearly as high as it once was and the lifetime warranty has been reduced to one year, but the products are still worth owning.

Great store with lots of selections. Do not go in there expecting to pay less than full retail price though. Prices are steep and the Sale section very very limited...

Great quality clothing and outdoor and home goods with a huge department style shopping plaza. Perfect place to get your bean boots at a discount. I recommend going in winter when they have their massive Christmas tree setup.

The store is huge and quite nice, has something for everyone! The staff is unbelievably helpful and pleasent. There are a few different places to occupy small children for quite some time. So family shopping is possible and pleasurable. Every time we come to Maine, LL Bean is a must do!

It seems as though the camping section is dwindling. However same old beans.

Main store has nice stuff, but it's not cheap. Really worth your while to go to the outlet store. They had a lot of nice merchandise and the prices were significantly better.

Magical place. I've been coming here ever since I was a kid.

Always recommend stopping by when you are in the area. Whether you are from the area or traveling through, on vacation or just out for shopping you have to check out all that LL Bean has to offer....and get your picture taken with the giant Bean boot! This photo was taken 10 years ago but I go just about every year!

Always love walking around here, you never know what you might find, don't forget the Outlet store across the street

Expensive don't understand why people have to spend so much on clothes. Went to outlet and bought 2 light coats. Would not have paid full price for them.

Great store with Gigantus assortment of just about anything you can ask for to complement your outdoor/wilderness/hunti g/fishing/camping experience!

I have been a customer for, literally, 60 years. My first visit was with my parents when I was 4 in 1960. I have vivid memories of the old hardware store type building with clothing and goods piled on wooden tables. It was a place where manly men went to buy manly products so they could do manly things. It was a one of a kind destination. It was my go to supplier for clothing and gear; having LLBean clothing and gear set you apart. Their lifetime warranty (which they now deny ever having had) made the higher prices more than worth it. I only used it once in all the years as their clothing truly was that well made. I still have 30+ year old shirts in my closet.

Now, unfortunately, while still a destination, it is more of an overpriced, glamorous Walmart. It truly saddens me to say that. Progress is a good thing but losing your core values is not and I believe old LL would not be happy with what is being done to his legacy. Maybe it s me, maybe I am just a Luddite determined to cling to the past...there were very few constants in life and LL Bean, even with the new digs, used to be one of them. I hope the new LLBean finds its way back to the future.

24hrs a day. Everyone is kind. Tons of events always being hosted. Don t forget to take a picture with the big boot!
