Always great. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

Really really quality stuff with a life warranty guaranteed. May be a bit pricy but it lasts forever so it is a very very good investment. I would recommend going here for any hiking needs given that you already or will be hiking constantly, or if you need just some good boots, this is the place to go.

Always a wonderful place to go. Whether to shop, wander alone, or go for knowledge, you'll find what you need. Wonderful music in the background, clean and organized, great and vast supply, knowledgeable staff. The aesthetics of every store are perfect!

We frequent the factory store once every few months and travel 2 hours to do so. Tim in customer service was the absolute best. Gave us tips on how to better our LL Bean experience from buying tips to future returns on defective products. Whatever they're paying him isn't enough for how great of a job he did in helping us. It made the experience in the factory store the best it's been since I started going there years ago.

I understand precautions for Covid but come on, not opening until 9 AM when it used to be 24/7? I got there early to do some shopping. Out of luck.

While the store did not have the fleece I was looking for the staff was knowledgeable about what they did have stock and offered options for getting what I needed.

Great set of stores. Sports, Home ware, Camping, Hunting & Fishing, Good food & coffee. Good free parking, easy access to the individual stores and lots of store assistance. Money is easily removed from you by the very tempting goods you can buy

The Christmas lights were beautiful, and free hot chocolate to boot!

What's not to like about LL Bean main store? They have everything. We own clothing and equipment bought from the store. It is always the highest quality and the service and guarantee is unequaled in retail. We never miss an opportunity to stop at the main store in Freeport and we always add to our collection of LL Bean products.

This place is huge! So many different buildings that are geared toward different activities. You could spend a whole day here.

Before the lifetime guarantee was abolished, I would have given 5 stars. Good quality equipment, great selection, helpful people.

After they got rid of the guarantee however, they didn't lower their prices, so it's become very expensive to shop here. Wait for their 20% off sales, they come around frequently.

Where else can you buy camping stoves at 2 AM? From a customer sales rep who is super helpful and can tell you all about camping in the mountains? Only LL Bean.

Great place to stop when in Freeport, ME. Terrific parking, clean restrooms, wi fi, helping staff. Now a coffee and snack shop on the lower level. Open 24 hrs. We cover the outlets and then save 'LL Bean for last because of the late open hours.

Even though I didn't purchase anything on this trip. The hunters expo that was going on offered entertainment just observing.

It's a great store, you can have fun just browsing.

I've been a few times and get a mix of good and not so good customer service. I love their huge selection and wish the prices were better, but they've got a good clearance section so that balances it out. Their Christmas yurt with Santa's mailbox was super cool. I'd like to try out the classes and other events they put on throughout the year.

Not impressed, just another shopping mall. I thought LL Bean was an American made Co., I saw more import tags than I did made in the USA.

Great time at Bean's flagship store. Spent the day and stayed for concert on the lawn Saturday evening. Enjoyed Outdoor Adventure learning to Kayak. Saw Bald Eagle family while kayaking. Inexpensive way to learn a new skill and enjoy Maine's natural resources.

Tried to return boots due to threads coming apart.was told I could not.Very disappointed in Beans.The family.I knew of the Beans would not do this.My husband was a plumber and worked for the Beans .

Great store. Good sales and clearance. Every outdoor product you can imagine. Fun decor.

Great clothing, hunting and fishing gear, furniture and more. This is the original L.L. Bean store in Freeport Maine and it is huge. You may come here and say "wow this place is to expensive" but wait, it is way cheaper in the long run because the items are of the highest quality and value. I have clothing items I have bought 20 years ago that are just as new looking as when I purchased them, unlike things I have bought at less expensive stores and had too replace 6 months later when they deteriorate to uselessness/unwearabilty. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful.

I found a great deal on boots I returned the next day to purchase them but they were out of my size.
I returned home and called LL bean and they honored their price from the store and sent me the boots at the price I saw in store.

They changed their lifetime replacement policy since the last time I needed to use it. They would not exchange a book bag that was bought over 10 years ago. They were claiming they needed a proof of purchase.... Even though they look up under my name and could see and exchange on the same item.... Unhappy

Beans prices are steep, however, they ARE committed to their customers.. and THAT makes all the difference.

Anything outdoors related can be found in this compound. Mostly L.L. Bean, as you would expect, but there are other quality brand products sold here as well.

Every already knows Bean's place is great, right!? Last night I spent a couple of hours in the fishing department getting assistance from a very knowledgeable employee, Dan, the whole time. Answered my questions and got me set up perfectly, and sent me home to figure out my inventory instead of selling me something I didn't need. I left with fly and spinning gear, and my wife found shoes for her hard to fit feet. If you didn't know before, you do now: Bean's service and products are great. There is likely no one you would rather work with more than someone from Bean's.

BTW, we stayed in our camper overnight. Head down the hill to the lots near the train station that don't display No RV signs or security will kindly offer to show you the way.

Hordes of people at this place and it's not even hi Summer season. Lots of international visitors from the sound of different languages as I walked through the store. It's very clean and expensive, but not very warm and welcoming for my taste.

Fun to go and just explore and find all the neat displays, activities, etc. that are woven throughout the stores. Just wish they hadn't gotten rid of the lifetime guarantee. For only a one year warranty I can get similar stuff much cheaper elsewhere.

The mothership! If you are an LL Bean fan you simply must check it out. Theres a whole campus with retail stores dedicated to all their different lines. We found my daughters some nice hiking boots for a great price at the flagship store. Outlet prices get a solid "meh" from me.

Surpassed my expectations. More clothes, equipment and furnishings than I ever thought possible. Despite the crowds, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Pretty cool. 5 or more buildings full of everything L L Bean sells. Plus beautiful sculpture and art and stuffed animals and aquariums.

Great selection, everything you would expect from L.L. Bean

If you want quality and are willing to pay extra for that quality like myself, LL Bean is a great choice. They have outstanding service and stand behind their products. They recently had to change their return policy which I fully understand why. People were taking advantage of their generous return policy. Unfortunately they had no choice. The only thing that they changed that I am disappointed in is the fact that they used to offer free shipping on any order you placed online. Now, you have to spend at least $50.00 in order to get free shipping. This change has made me shop the competition more. For example, I recently bought 2 new winter jackets from Columbia which also makes an excellent product. But before, I never shopped other companies because LL Bean had free shipping and I knew if I had any problems, I could just drive up to Freeport to exchange. But all their recent policy changes made me look elsewhere. I found that companies like Columbia and The North Face offer as good quality if not better in some cases for lower prices or equal prices. I still shop LL Bean, but they are not my automatic go to for clothing and outdoor accessories like they once we're. I shop their competitors now before I buy.

I love that this company has always stuck to it's values rather than what may make them the most money. It's just refreshing to shop at a place that seems to genuinely care about customers.

Beautiful store!! The staff are friendly and helpful. It is open 24/7! It is not a discount store, no deals here. I was surprised to find limited sizes on the shoes. I was looking for their traditional boots but they were out of my size in all colors. Also, be sure to try on the shoes, they run very big. You may have to size down by as much as 2! Stop by the 1912 cafe, the food is excellent!!

Hands down one of the best places to get outdoor gear. The winter is a fun time to visit as the lights are spectacular and so beautiful. Plus, where else can you get a fanny pack these days??!!
