The best cold weather gear store. Great quality outdoor gear. Staff is friendliest and most helpful around. Snack bar needs updating with edible, better tasting snacks.

LL Bean is a Maine staple. Unfortunately they know that too. The store is a fun one to walk through. It's cool to see the fish and the taxidermy. They do have some nice stuff here too, with good quality.
Sadly, the prices are simply way too high. The items aren't backed by Bean like they used to be, and you can get the same or better quality elsewhere for cheaper. Do your research before buying here to avoid wasting your money.

Great place to check out to do your camping and outdoors shopping. I just wish they had more discounts.

There's nothing like shopping at the original L.L. Bean store in Freeport. Products are wonderful, workers are very helpful and friendly. Prices are above average but you get what you pay for.

Over priced but if you keep an eye out for sales you can get good quality items here. Unfortunately they don't carry a wide variety of out door items like they use to. I went in to get a compass & a topographic map and they no longer carry paper maps and the selection of compasses was dismal.

Nice stuff. Better than catalog or internet. You can actually touch the stuff.

If you travel to Maine this is a must stop tourist destination.

This place is open 24/7/365?!?!? What for? It was fun coming in the middle of the night to check out the people buying hunting rifles.

Gotta love it. Fun store. Great warranty on products. Alot of camping/hiking gear. Wish there wasn't so much "fashionable" stuff. I have loads of LLB gear. Most of it is good quality.

Beautiful place to visit...prices are high but you are paying for quality.

Fantastic selection of high quality items, multiple buildings covering everything from home goods and apparel, to sporting and camping equipment. Everything you could want for the outdoors. Even better they are open 24/7 so we can stop in anytime we are traveling through the area on a long road trip.

Their warranty can't be beat, and they have tons of activities for all ages.

Not only should you come here if you're visiting from away, but the customer service and employees are awesome to work with. I had one employee walk around the store with me helping my find things on my checklist, and proceeded to help fold all of the clothes to fit them in my bag. They're great!

L.L. Bean stands by their lifetime warranty, and the customer service there is the best. All of the employees are happy to help.

L.L. Bean is a great company. They sell great products and support their community both locally and at the state level very well. I am glad we stopped here just because I learned ao many very positive things about the company. I enjoyed walking through all of their stores in their complex. There are too many special things to mention them all but one that stood out for me was the display of two bull elk locked in combat. Their size and grandeur really amazed me.

Love my Bean boots and most anything else you can buy from Beans. Comparable items can usually be found at a lower cost from other retailers, but it's the quality and return policy that makes L.L. Bean stand out above the rest. The store itself is very neat and has much to explore during the year.

It's an adventure. What a great place! Wonderful campus to explore, open and thoughtful item displays, helpful customer service folks. Top quality stuff, priced accordingly--but some super values for sale items and in the outlet. Budget plenty of time, especially if you're into outdoors kinds of things. Don't roll through Freeport without stopping!

LL Bean Home is my favorite storefront to visit out of all of the LL Bean stores in Freeport. The store has a beautiful selection of products, but I was very disappointed at how overpriced the majority of them were. There was also some sort of corporate gathering occurring within the store which I found strange, and felt like this should have occurred elsewhere. It made me feel as though I was in the way and out of place as the customer. The sales staff were very friendly, however I did not choose to purchase anything.

This is a massive L.L.Bean and they have a really good camping department and all kinds of stuffed Moose's all over the place. They have one in almost every part of the store, a stuffed moose that is.

Always friendly service, the holiday lines may have been long but they moved quickly.

Great products have always ordered online and delivery was within 2 days... I am now sti waiting for an order given on November 25th... ETA is now December 10th... get with the program... Amazon delivers in 2 days... Ordered boots from Sorel on the weekend, and got them in 3 days...

Love it! It's a Maine and New England tradition. It's especially amazing at Christmas with all the free holiday events, the beautiful light displays, carriage rides, parades, etc.

Easily one of the best retail stores in the country. Although there is an outlet in Conway, NH, NOTHING matches the original store in Freeport, ME. Nothing can come close to this venue. Why? Organization is tremendous. The store is clean with bright lighting. The departments are separate and can easily be found. Bean carries an unlimited number of products of high quality. Furthermore, there is the unconditional Bean guarantee. Cafe on the lower level is outstanding. If you're visiting Maine, then this is a must see venue!

A Maine institution. Open 24 hours/ day, 365 days a year. Staff has forgotten more than you'll ever know about the outdoors and will make sure tji buy the right stuff. Merchandise has gone through a dramatic improvement recently.

We are hear at L.L. BEAN getting excellent service in the Men's Department. Clerks name Julie. She has measured six pair of men's dress pants.

Great place. We bought kayaks 3 weeks ago in Maryland and one of the paddles had a small crack, they exchanged it no questions asked.

This is a pretty great place to visit if you're nearby or to make a pilgrimage to, if you're an outdoorsy person. It's their flagship location has all of their current season merchandise and is entrenched in the local community. Definitely worth the stop.

This place is an adventure! If you're not from around here, you need to stop in and experience it. An outdooring mecca.

If your in Freeport you obviously must go to the LL bean flagship store. There are several buildings on this campus like vendor. I especially would like to thank them for allowing me to bring my well behaved dog and as I think it was good for business and we certainly had fun showing him off. I know it is not within your policy to do so but you did knowing we would behave ourselves, thank you.

Staff was able to fix my Telemark boot with spare parts while I waited. Amazing service!

Done shopping there. I've been a loyal customer for 25+yrs, bought hundreds of items, I've returned 1 defective item over those years. Today, I tried to return a defective pair of expensive boots, and was turned away by customer service. The boots were sold to me with a customer satisfaction guarentee, I always had confidence in purchasing expensive gear from ll bean due to this guarentee. That confidence and loyalty ended today. As a life long Mainer it's kind of sad.
