one of the most famous Michelin restaurant, the interesting decorations inside the restaurant and hiding in a small street in covent garden increase the mystery of it, the food is very delicate and delicious but is a bit over seasoning, and for the price as usual its quite high class price but they also offer a pre theater menu that is good value and you also can try the the skill from the chef.

Terrible experience. Foie gras was overcooked, had 2 flies buzzing around in the restaurant, and extremely worn table and chair. Food was extremely mediocre and barely had any flavor. Only redeeming factor was the presentation.

Idk how this is a 2 michelin restaurant, shame on them for the quick cash grab.

Went to the cocktail bar on the roof on a Saturday. Quiet and minimalistic, great for a good catch up. Delicious cocktails, excellent 5 stars service. My friend and I were treated like royalties. Very expensive but worth the money for the 5 stars treatment. Loved it!

Disappointed.

Disappointed.
Have been invited for a dinner with friends there. The design is remarkable and adore the idea of facing the open wild kitchen. I was surprised by the silence in the kitchen and looks like a dance movie at some point as everything is organised in this small area.

Disappointed by the main servers. One young waiter was really good. New to his job but show so many interest and motivation to be there and to provide great services with attention to details. Congratulations to you and keep on with this.
While the two other (one French and one German if not mistaken) ourf... Haughty. They didn't care about what we were saying as they knew in advance everything same they were wrong. They were far too long in their positions, far too long there that they forgot what is to listen and be attentive to details anymore. (he offered bread and we didn't have time to think that the basket was on the table). The other attitude was not for a Michelin star ranked with elbows on the desk bar table while speaking with the guest like you will do in the pub. I pass the way they were talking and introducing plates without any interest like a robot at the entrance of mechanical stairs repeat the same sentence again and again without any changed tone.
This might be the services the restaurant wants to provide but there is a limit between being friendly while you became arrogant and on my side totally out of what I expect from a Michelin star ranked restaurant.

Second disappointment was with the food.
Really good quality for sure and a serious attention to details but where were the taste? Where were the innovation?
We took the tasting menu but it didn't bring me the taste, it didn't bring me the will of coming back and try "a la carte menu".
The starter with tomatoes: ok can be a good idea. But bring us tomatoes that taste! It was fade without any distinction between red, green, yellow. Was the same I buy in tesco and eat every day! Too much herbs too.
The main meat... Same. Tasteless with so much pepper to hide the fact the food doesn't have taste. But really good texture and cooked perfectly.
The bread is not freshly made sorry. Maybe cooked from frozen but not freshly made and cooked. Some pieces were good but from a Michelin French star restaurant I was expecting definitely better fresh bread quality.
And please stop charging a fortune for TAP water. Yes maybe it's purified water with filter but seriously for the price you are charging this should be an Evian bottle not from tap!

Was nice experience to discover and even better as I was invited by a friend but will not come back unfortunately.
All the best of luck for the future.

We chose to eat downstairs, sushi bar style, by the kitchen. Absolutely impeccable service - Michele Drusacchi was the GM that night and looked after me and my girlfriend for her birthday meal. We came back for the terrace cocktail bar later that year and were impressed again.
This was our entry to michelin dining two years ago and it set the bar.

I went along in a group of four, taking my father out for his birthday. Initially we were offered seats in a row at the sushi bar, which would have made conversation difficult and ruined the group dining experience. It didn't seem like their smartest move, however, we asked to be relocated and they happily obliged. After that minor blip, I have no complaints. The service was typically excellent for a restaurant of this calibre, the menu was imaginative, the food was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented and we were allowed to linger over our food without being rushed. They even presented my father with an extra complimentary slice of cake and candle on a plate decorated with a birthday message. When we left we were also treated to a small gift of a jar of preserve each.

Excellent food and very attentive service. For taste menu(8 dishes), your whole table should all order it, but they were willing to bend the rule so I ordered 3 small plates from the menu instead of order taste menu (which I won't be able to finish). When serving the dishes, they will serve two taste menu dish to husband, and one for me, so I don't have to wait.

I was extremely happy when I was able to make a reservation only a few days before I arrived in London.

The staff: The first staff you meet are the hostesses. They were nice but very confusing. We arrived five minutes before our reservation and our table was not ready. Which was odd because our reservation was for the first table of the evening when the restaurant opened at 1730. It took several minutes for the hostess to explain to us the situation. Apparently they are not used to people asking questions like, "how long will the wait be for our reservation?" They eventually took our coats, escorted us to the bar via a tiny elevator and sat us at a cocktail table. My wife and I were not terribly thirsty so we waited five minutes and told the bar tender we were heading back down to the lobby. We were told that we needed to be escorted and had to wait. We did. After a small wait we were escorted back down to the lobby and to our table. The hostess never asked for our name and sat us on the ground floor, Asian counter concept, part of the restaurant. Our reservation was for the first floor table part of the restaurant.

The wait staff was hot and cold. Our drink order was taken by two different women. We were served our food by two different men. I had no idea who our waiter was to ask question of. Everyone around us was having an engaging laugh filled conversation with their waiter. Not us. Perhaps it was because we were American and the first customers of the night but it seemed every other couple was paid more attention, conversed with, joked with, and received better service than us.

The experience: It was amazing to watch the executive sous chef (who was the head chef working that night) orchestrate her cooks like a perfectly practiced opera. Gordon Ramsey needs to give this woman a job has executive chef somewhere. The ambiance is interesting. Nothing that made me think "WOW!" but it was nice. The price is what we expected. Besides the wait staff and slightly off start to the dinner with the hostess I would definitely come back. I wanted to come back. I will come back.

While L'Atelier De Joel Robuchon is one of the Michelin star restaurants in London you will find yourself feverishly scooping up mash potatoes and pea soup by the spoonful. L'Atelier offers everything you would expect from a French Michelin star restaurant but with a twist.

L'Atelier, is without a doubt an experience if you are looking for French food with seasonal produce and a British twist sprinkled with Michelin star magic in an exotic setting. If you are after a more traditional Michelin restaurant experience head somewhere else. I would highly recommend L'Atelier for lunch and evening as a treat to share with a loved one. The bar is the perfect place for night cap following dinner in the main restaurant. Surprisingly, L'Atelier is a romantic spot with a bit of an edge serving dishes that will surprise you.

The L'unch menu is a wonderfully accessible route into really bloody good food. My partner and I had the taster menu 7-8 years ago, but took my step-daughter along for L'unch the other day. She loved it too.

The food was delicious and not bad potions compared to other fine dinning resteraunts. The staff are friendly but not as much as couple expect at a Michellen star resteraunt. The resteraunt it's self has almost Thai inspired setting which was a but strange considering the food is French. We sat on. Stools at a bar like table which I am not sure I enjoyed as much as dining at a proper table. Over all the food was so good that it didn't matter

A very solid restaurant, one of the best tasting menus I ve tried in london. Pretty much nothing to fault except that i found the burger (with Asian influence) not a good idea and the cake of the apple dessert a bit too rough. Nice venue, service was perfect.

I had the vegetarian tasting menu and wine pairings solo at the bar and it was a fantastic experience. The dishes were classic feeling but with very interesting twists and done with such amazing quality. It started with a strange, sweet and thick shot of gazpacho and the meal was served with a freshly baked sourdough loaf. They then went on to a beet carpaccio, a roasted carrot dish which was one of the best carrot dishes I've had.

For desert they started with a dish containing many variations on pineapple. It was a perfectly suited, refreshing summer dish with textures covered on all angles. The final dish was a combination of vanilla creme, honey, honeycomb (kind of?), sorbet and meringue. Visually stunning and equally indulgent.

The service was very attentive and they explained everything as you went. From the first seat at the left of the bar I had a great view of the kitchen and rest of the space. I hope to be able to revisit this place next time I'm in London!

Very nice restaraunt, quite unassuming from the outside. Great staff and a great experience. Very nice laid back atmosphere despite the fine dining on offer... no need for the dinner jacket but you would not feel out of place wearing one. For your first time be sure to get a seat at the high table so you can see the chefs do their thing.

Really delicious food. I've eaten at various Michelin starred establishments and this one is among the ones that stand out. Not sure about the counter seats and hip decor, but the food was flawless with nice service. It came with a hefty bill at the end, but for special occasions I'd say it's well worth it.

Wednesday night dinner, we were 12 people, upstairs - as the only people in the restaurant at 7.30pm we created our own atmosphere. Robert Dyas evidently the interior designer as he's plonked some unused silver pans around the place... and More

Food is absolutely fantastic! I love the downstairs dining experience as you are able to watch the chefs create the dishes. The sommelier is also great at explaining all the wine. Service is top class! It's expensive but completely worth the price

I only went to the bar, Salon de Joel Robuchon so I can't comment on the food. The interior is very dark, I imagine if you came at night it might look quite sleek and sexy in low light but on a warm sunny afternoon it just felt oppressive. Luckily there was a tiny terrace area out the back where we opted to sit. I had an interesting thyme and whisky cocktail and yes interesting is code for I can't make up my mind if I liked it or not. Not sure about this one.

Food was excellent, service was pleasant but nothing particularly inventive. Went as part of London Restaurant Festival. The atmosphere: we were seated at a bar, alongside other patrons. You look into the kitchen and the staff introduce the dishes to you each time.

Nothing to say. Expect what you pay. And pay you will. The flavour combination was excellent. Free flow of bread if you are still hungry. The mash potato was buttery great with emphasis on buttery. Gave a five because it s really an experience. Probably a 4 star if i consider the price and what other great but cheaper i could get.

Being vegan never is a big issue in London; there s aleays at least one vegan dish on the menu or restaurants can prepare something. This was the first time I was sent away that nothing is available for vegans Don t go here if you or anyone in your company are vegan, have a dairy alergy. I guess they can afford not to accomodate - hope not for long. The staff was apologetic but that s not much help...

Food is outstanding and service can be very good. When they're on their game it's a 5. The mash and the bread (served freshly baked and hence warm) are both fantastic. Other dishes I like are the ones they have when it's truffle season.

2nd visit here and not so good as the first.
Love the atmosphere (apart from the fruit flies at the bar). A few imperfections in the food (missing quals eggs on one dish and missing popping candy in a desert) which were not rectified. They were very busy, but that shouldn't be an excuse.
