If you're looking for an amazing steak dinner look no further than KR SteakBar. A little more casual than their other restaurant Kevin Rathbun Steak, this place is still as delicious, if not more so. The service was great and the food was even better. Parking is all valet, so just keep that in mind. There is a great bar here too! You may have to ask around to find it though. All in all, I highly recommend KR SteakBar.
A fantastic experience, from the food to the general atmosphere to the impeccable service. Every course was delicious and timed well, and our server was completely on top of things.
We had a variety of pastas and appetizers, but even the bread and olive oil was fantastic.
If I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would. (Google, fix this.) Every dish was great. The filet was done perfectly and the quality of the cut superb.possible great. Brussels sprouts are great. The mixed seafood appetizer was delicious. A bit too loud. The music was the main driver of the sound. They could turn that down a bit.
Delicious steak perfectly cooked; greens were very nice, fingerling potatoes could have been slightly more crispy for my taste (update: the recipe has since been changed and the potatoes are now more crispy but not heavy, with just the right flavor, interesting, but not overbearing). Decor was dark and cool, and the atmosphere was laid back and relatively quiet. Service was excellent. My new go-to neighborhood restaurant.
Our friends Adele & Sybil had their wedding celebration in one of the private rooms. The food was good. The space was super small.
Good service. Steak had great flavor. Wagu beef carpacio was awesome.
All pasta is made from scratch in house. Get the magliatali with the braised pork shank.
Unique, posh restaurant with arguably the best steak in Atlanta.
Was able to make resovations for NYE very easily. The scallops were amazing and the shell steak was perfect. Would go again for sure.
Such an incredible experience. Me and my wife went here for our Valentine's day dinner and I tell you what, I couldn't be more satisfied. We got the chef's special (a pricy $80 a head but beyond worth it, hand to God) and our server Melissa, and the chef, more than happily accomodated my wife's food allergies.
We also shared a delicious bottle of wine, and Melissa brought us coffee at the end of our meal, and bagged up all of our leftovers for us. Melissa and the restaurant earned all five of those stars and more. We will be back. That's a threat.
It was absolutely amazing. Steak was out of this world. Recommended by my daughter and it did not disappoint.
My top scene for tasty italian food. cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. the staff was very helpful and welcoming. prices are reasonable i would say.
First time here, was typical Rathbun excellence. 4 apps, 4 entrees, 3 sides and 2 desserts were all excellent. I had the spinalis and it was simply amazing. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Lamb, veal and shell steak all spot on as well. Our server Ashley was a pleasure. She knew the menu top to bottom and made several excellent recommendations (thank you for the spinalis). Great personality and sense of humor. We spent 2.5 hours for dinner and she never rushed us once. Funny, we all came for the pasta but ended up with meat dishes. Maybe we'll try pasta next time. Will definitely be back!
good neighborhood place, good vibe at the bar , good food , good wine list
Great food, service, but can't hear yourself think, it's so loud
Family had a great meal! Pasta and steak were excellent
This group provided outstanding service and was highly accommodating when we arrived. We were dining with our child and had no reservation. Even on a busy Saturday our wait was minimal. Finding such a complete Italian wine list was a great surprise. Even the by the glass list was outstanding and included some of the highest rated wines I have ever seen on a by the glass list. All of the pasta was hand made and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be returning (with a reservation) on our next trip through.
the best kept secret of Atlanta , excellent service, drinks and steaks r perfecto cooked and juicy , it cannot get any better than this place
Everything is a 10; cheeses, charcuterie, pasta, steaks, chicken and sides!!!
The food was amazing! The spinalis steak just melts in your mouth. The brussel sprouts were the mix between sweet and a little heat!
If you're looking for a 5+ star restaurant, look no further than KR SteakBar. It was our first time dining at KR. Super excited to give it a go after watching KR's executive chef, Jessica Gamble, on the tv show, "Beat Bobby Flay". WOW is putting it mildly. Everything from start to finish was top notch, executed flawlessly, and tasted PHENOMENAL. The atmosphere was super inviting and fun with fantastic music playing (not too loud. just perfect), and the food...let me just say there wasn't anything we ordered, and we ordered a lot for 7 people, that wasn't out of this world delicious. Cooked to absolute perfection. Service was incredible as well. You have to put KR Steakbar with Jessica Gamble at the helm at the top of your list of restaurants to try. You will not be disappointed.
The food is amazing and the private room is perfect for a special celebration. Aaron was our server and he could not have been better to our high maintenance party of 10. He went above and beyond! We were happy with our experience (which was $$$) until we encountered James on the way out. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I ve ever witnessed and it s super sad he tainted such a special evening for us. He is condescending, rude, and clearly has no regard for his employees or his patrons.
Highly recommend you pick the Chefs choice for the table!
Ambiance was great but not good overall. took 2 hours to get my food and my bill was like 185.00
Excellent time at KR SteakBar.
The cocktails were good, the service was great, and the food was amazing (gotta order the Spinalis steak with roasted garlic and grilled lemon).
The only thing that keeps me from rating this place 5 stars is the noise level. I don't usually complain about noise levels, and I'm not an old man yelling at the kids to turn their music down. Me and my wife ate here on a Saturday night, and you could not hear each other without basically yelling. Not really what I want to do when eating this quality food.
When you are thinking about the leftovers before you leave you know how good it is!
Incredible menu, excellent service, good drinks, fun atmosphere.
This is one of my favorite places to go in Atlanta. Whether to eat, drink or hang out. The atmosphere, food/drinks and service is superb. I like that s is not pretentious but upscale at the same time. I m a frequent flyer here!!!
You can not do your reservations without all guests you have to all arrive at the same time and that is not the case when people live at different parts of georgia.
Good porterhouse. Very accommodating for our large party
EXCELLENT House Made Pastas, Service is Great, Desserts are awesome
Apetizers are a killer. Just watch out for a dish called Spaghetti Nero. Personally I didn't find it appealing and didn't like the taste. However, the waiter was super nice and aske me for whatever dish I wanted.
The most amazing food and service. My fiancee and I love this Italian steakhouse concept. Food is pricey, but worth it for a super special occasion. For context, my (now) fiancee took me there for a pre-engagement dinner.
Definitely not Italian... great place for steak. Had the bone marrow appetizer and it was excellent. Very crowded but there's great bar to be patient at. Excellent, caring service. A special place.
My all-time favorite restaurant in Atlanta! Chef Kevin Rathbun's Italian-inspired steakhouse has something on the menu for everyone. From their authentic housemade pastas (you have to try the Papparedelle with bolognese or Tonarelli with cacio e pepe - I like to call it "simplicity at it's best") to the amazing small plates like the pork belly and grilled octopus, you won't leave disappointed. If you're a meat lover the offer steaks prepared over their wood fire grill and have plenty of seafood and vegetarian options as well. If you can sit at the bar, have Nik or Dani take care of you. It's a great place for a date night and even better for small groups, that way everyone can order plenty of food to be shared for the table, family style. The vibe is young and fun, the decor is beautiful and the music is lively. The management team of Jason and Ryan make everyone feel welcome and this place is always a must see when I am in town visiting. Go for a cocktail or glass, stay for the food and hospitality, you won't be disappointed.
As part of the Kevin Rathbun family of restaurants I expected the restaurant to be good, but it exceeded my expectations. The spinalis cut (end cap of the ribeye) is my personal favorite but you really can't go wrong with any dish here. Even the seafood dishes are top notch. This is now in our regular rotation of restaurants...........
Service was OUTSTANDING!!!! Oh, and the food was great too.
I was fortunate enough to attend an event with family style menu and it was all incredible! Brussel sprouts, fingerling potatoes, steak, salmon, and three different kinds of pasta that were out of this world! Overall the experience was just top-notch and the Justin Paso Robles red wasn't bad either!
Went with friends, and had a great dinner. Not as formal as Rathburns, and the menu has a bit of a twist from traditional steaks. I had the Spinalis cut (Ribeye cap) I have never had it and it was one of the best steaks I have had. Service was great, and we were able to have a conversation. You could easily sit at the bar and share some appetizers and drinks. Nice wine menu, not overwhelming. A little pricey, but worth it.
You have to be a regular to get "good treatment". We frequent Rathbun steak on Krog, but wanted to try something new. Though the food was good as expected, the"Off Buckhead" vibe made it feel more pretentious. Our seats weren't good, even though there was plenty available, when I said something to our server, he made note of it and offered to buy us a round of drinks. Top notch services, I would say. So upon completion of our meal he escorted us to the "speak easy". We get there are seated at a booth, only to be told 5 minutes later by the bartender that the booth is reserved and reseated at a high top. Again we were offered another round of drinks which we politely accepted but never took them up on, as our feeling of insignificance trumped an additional libation.
