Had booked this hotel but then however my son had to cancel due to his 8 month son went to hospital. They would not refund money, so unfair. You would think they would have a heart and maybe take half the cost but to take all is just terrible. My son doesn't earn much money, so you have our guarantee we will never stay at this venue. Get a heart

very welcoming owners. but that's where the positives stop. mould growing in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed, bad tv selection and signs saying that if you leave dishes behind, you will be charged. lucky I was visiting for work and not leisure.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a family room. The first night our rooms were interconnecting which was great. The morning of day 2 we were informed that we had to move to 2 different rooms for our last night stay because they had sold the room twice and had to accommodate a family with children. We totally understood, and they moved us to a the next two rooms that weren't interconnecting. Our rooms were next to the old rooms we were in that had the children in it and we all had difficulty sleeping due children crying all through the night. We had an 8 hour drive the next day and had to leave at 0500 in the morning after attending a funeral. The staff were nice, our room had no condiments. They were apologetic and they gave us a bottle of milk.

The cleaners are thieves and I would never stay here again. The washing machine and dryer are terrible and barely work, makes it hard when staying for work for 4 weeks. I constantly had spiders in my room. There was another incident I wont write about on here but I would never go back.

Very welcoming owners, friendly people and helpful when needing extra towels. Room was tidy and clean. Only issue was the room had an adjoining room(family room set up) and it did not have a lock on the doors for security and this was hired out to other guests. Would be good if they could rectify this.

This place is ok if you just want somewhere to put your head down. However, house cleaning does not do the dishes, so if you use any plates or anything, then be prepared to be charged for that service. The beds are not great at all. I had the most uncomfortable sleep. I think I would have slept more comfortably in my car if I am honest. The manager here is also quite rude. I wouldn't come here again.

Ok stay couldn't sleep the second night due to 'mini party' upstairs cars coming and going people out on balcony loudly chatting no staff after hours to sort out. They finally shut up at 2am and then woke us again at 5am with their noise EDIT NOTE: in response to Owners reply to our review, when there are people wandering around outside and being rowdy at 2am in the morning, no sensible person wanders outside and on down to the reception door. Maybe if you had the number inside the unit I could have called you.

I've stayed here twice with my kids and it was great, Nice tidy and clean. Towels and toiletries provided, The kitchen is well equipped you pretty much have everything you need just bring your clothes and food.. Bus stop is pretty much at the end of the driveway, kamo township is less then 5min drive, whangarei town basin isn't too far either. Whangarei falls is about a 10-15min drive depending on traffic, there's plenty of great places to see whilst staying at this place.

I payed for room 25 and I had look at the room was very happy. Ask for a receipt but siad it is all good and the room is booked. When I got there they gave me room 31 and I had two beds instead of three. The lady in the reception at the time talked as if it was my fault. She had the long face and didn't apologize. But got me a folding bed. A person pay in advance to make sure and reserve the room. It was so bad that the staff changed it. A painted face is not welcoming if they can't smile and greet. Maybe they do it for selected people.

A great little Motel with a cute cat to boot. The rooms were clean and modern-ish. Some cosmetic work could be done but that's a small issue. The staff are really friendly and most importantly the WIFI is good and unlimited! You don't get a lot of road noise and the beds are comfortable so you're in for a good sleep. I would definitely stay there again.
