This place was terrible ! Helpers hide or pretend they are too busy when needed. Have attitudes ! Management no better and one day they will need the same kind of help when they are 82 and they deserve the same lazy treatment then they will experience what other families go through. That place was simply terrible.
My friends parents were forced to live here due to unforseen medical chaos. The food look inedible. His mom choked and aspirated because she wasn't fed properly. Things were stolen from their room. We never proved it but I did help report theft to KC police. The place is scary and no one is there on weekends. The Carondolet medical doctors and staff are unavailable and non-present. They ignore pleas for medical attention. Dogs in a kennel live better than people here. In my opinion, my friends' mom died from mistakes and lack of care from Carondolet Manor. He tried to partner with the administration and tried to get them to treat his parents with the care and dignity they deserved. The laundry system often is at a standstill. Sheets are sometimes not available for beds. Clothes are lost and never found. Patients go full days without being changed or asked to go to the bathroom. I'm not certain teeth were ever brushed. There is no normal socialization for any of the patients. Patients are pulled out of bed at ungodly hours in the morning so that the day shift and night shift don't fight over how much work they have to do. The administration and staff hate each other. Pleas for help are ignored. Patients languish and linger, uncared for. Pleas for partnership are ignored. Replies and response to concerns are non-existent. Very very sad and surreal place. Unbelievable that it's not closed. My friends' parents entered in April 2015 and were both dead by August 2015. One died of diabetes and was lucky enough to only be there a month. The other died of neglect and lack of care. These people we not biologically my parents, but I saw them as that.
Thank you so much for letting me shadow your nursing and physical therapy staff. They were all so kind and answered all my questions. Seeing what the nurses and therapists do on a daily basis will really help me in making a decision about my future career.
Thanks so much again! Rebecca
They take good care of my mother. They were my only chance at help and alayne is the reason she is there and taken care of. Clean facility and the staff is amazing, the physical therapist Elaine is also amazing with my mother and help her daily. Thank you to all the staff.
I simply believe the caregivers have too much on their hands, and management as usual, (the decision makers), have no idea what goes on in the real world. The caregivers are overworked, and understaffed which in turn affects the care residents receive.
YOU NEED TO RECONSIDER !
THE ADMINISTRATION OF CARODOLET MANOR IS NOT ONLY GROSSLY VIOLATING THE VERY BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS OF 40 FAMILY MEMBERS PLUS A RESIDENT JUNE R PRETZL. THEY ARE IMPRISONING OUR MOTHER,GRANDMOTHER,GREAT GRANDMOTHER,GREAT GREAT GRAND MOTHER, AUNT, BY CUTTING MOM OFF FROM HER LOVED ONES. ALLOWING NO PHONE CALLS.BANNING LOVED ONES FROM INPERSON VISITS. ALL BECAUSE OF 2 HATE FILLED AND CONTROLLING DPA'S. THE POLICY C M IS TO FULLFILL THE WISHES AND DEMANDS OF THE DPA'S REGARDLESS OF WHO IT HURTS. THIS SITUATION HAS PUT UNNECSARY AND UNNATURAL MENTAL,EMOTIONAL,SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL STRESS ON OUR MOTHER AND FAMILY. THIS IS CRIMINAL. CARONDELET MANOR NEEDS TO RECONSIDER THEIR POLICY. DONT ALLOW THIS IN YOU FAMILY !
I have toured many communities, and by far, Carondelet Manor is one of my favorites. The staff are attentive, compassionate and highly competent. I strongly recommend Carondelet Manor!
The staff that supposedly care for the patients, are not doing their jobs. the patients rarely get bathed and some of the rooms smell and smell for long periods of days. Doctor visit are extremely rare.
THIS IS THE WORSE NURSING HOME!!! i wouldnt take my dog there! they misused and abused my grandmother and let her see them wheel out DEAD BODIES! Unfriendly! Gave her the wrong medicine had to call 911 and on and on!! IM BEGGING you NO! DEATH TRAP!
My mother has been treated terribly by the staff. She had over $100 in cash stolen while she was sleeping. They ignore her when she needs things. It's a sad, terrible place. The five star reviews for this place are from health care workers, who trade reviews for one another's facilities or just rate their own.
Patients and their families are treated very poorly here. Look at official complaints - Carondelet Manor receives multiple complaints, and has even been fined multiple times.
My loved one has been in Carondelet Manor for the last two months, and I have been extremely satisfied with her care. The nursing staff is kind and caring, and they always anticipate her needs. I highly recommend this facility!
First, I was a patient there a year ago. Excellent, treated with respect and dignity.
Now it's almost exactly a year and my wife is a patient there. Funny because she's
In the same room I was in, (nice btw). Thanks for your great professional employees.
I made lots of friends and I'm doing well now. I feel very good about putting my wife
in your care . She seems to be happy with everything and you know the old saying,
If mom's ain't happy, nobody's happy!
Thank you so much,

Horrible! They sent my father home and said he would have a hospital bed arriving. No bed has arrived but I got rid of his old one expecting the arrival of one. They said his toilet could be purchased anywhere...lies. It has to be special ordered. I called the manor several times this week and said he had no bed. The medical supply people told me no bed had been ordered b/c the manor did not fax over the correct paperwork! I have called them again telling them
he was either going to have to check into a motel or sleep in his wheelchair. Still no one has called me back. Also, he could walk and use the toilet before he arrived at the manor. I don't know what kind of operation they are running. I am reporting them and I suggest everyone with horrible experiences report them also. His reg Dr whom i called after hours called back Fri night and Sat morn and will be ordering the bed for him as the Manor still has not called back and it has been over 24 hr's since they released the patient.
I have greatly appreciated the team here. They've helped my mother tremendously by bringing all of her care providers together to discuss her needs and creating an action plan based on her needs alone. I trust this team with my mom.
PLEASE DONT! MIND GAMES FROM THE SOCIAL WORKER ADMINISTRATION? NO ACCOUNTABILITY
FOR ANYTHING SOMEHOW?ANY COMPLAINTS LOST CLOTHING, CHANGING MEDS, FILTHY ROOMS, VERBAL ABUSE, BRUISED ARMS AND LEGS, BURNT FOOD, WERE SWEPT UNDER THE RUG? A HOT POTATO GAME FROM AMY LONG WHAT A LIAR AND MANIPULATOR.

I m here visiting my cuz he spilled juice no one ever came to clean it this place is not that great I will be making some calls
I posted a negative review 4 years ago about this facility and since then they have done a total make over and complete over haul of their staff there. The office heads are finally compassionate and professional with their family concerns and patient care. Very prompt with any concerns or issues. Proven fact that change is sometimes better. Thank you guys.
So excited for all the positive changes taking place! Keep up the great work in this community. You patients and families appreciate all you do!
