Perfect vacation spot. If you want to feel spoiled and have a relaxing vacation, this is the place to go.
Phenomenal golf course. Great rooms and facilities.
Nice place. Good location. Gated community. Golf course looks great but I did not play. Pool is really nice. Workout facility was nice.
Played 18 holes with a great group of friends. It wasn't my best round but no fault of the golf course which was in good shape! Only lost 2 balls and considering I'd never played here before (and wasn't sure where to 'place' my ball), I felt like it was a pretty good round.
REALLY AWESOME place to relax, eat and romance with that special person. Really loved it, I definitely would go back.
Few places are worth the money at this level. KM never disappoints. I have stayed here a dozen times and consider it the best on the east coast. Get a package that includes BG. Resort suites are great, river and others not needed.
Any and all staff was caring and helpful. A few services such as calling for transportation was a bit iffy, but did not ruin or diminish our overall experience. Most areas and rooms were clean (although our room had a wierd smell). Overall, a good experience for a weekend stay!
Very nice resort with good food and roomy accomodations.
We love this place! The grounds are lovely. The suites are fabulous for a small family. We hear the golf is good although we're not golfers. Breakfast either at the restaurant or at the cafe are wonderful.. very accommodating staff.
Very nice family vacation resort. Feels like home and convenient to everything.
Beautiful place to stay. Love that bush gardens and colonial Williamsburg are a short courtesy shuttle away!
Very nice resort. Excellent staff. The ground are well maintained. Enjoyed lunch on the deck. Price for food not bad.
Gated community was nice. Place was ok, nothing fancy but was clean. Pool was very nice. Worst part was the cost of food was astronomical for very simple items. Burgers at the pool for 4 people cost me over $100. Breakfast buffet for two adults and 2 kids with coffee cost $70. Crazy.
Well it has everything ,stuff is helpful, rooms clean and updated .5 min away from Busch gardens and they have a shuttle service that starts rolling 9.30 am till 10 PM.
Had a wonderful time. All the amenities were great.
Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast service in the morning is beyond great. They even upgraded our room for free since availability was high. Definitely would recommend to all.
Beautiful place to spend some quality time with your family in Williamsburg, Virginia. I love it. I didn't realise until now that we had such a wonderful resort less than 2 hours from home. Great services. The rooms are just top class. The personnel was outstanding when we checked in. We had a last minute room change and we were rapidly accommodated to another one within an hour.
Ate at the James river Grill and the the biggest complaint is the prices for the menu did not reflect the outcome. Food was cold and looked liked it was sitting under a heat lamp for several mins. The raw bar food was dry and did not look fresh at all. I'd give this a 1 star but it was my parents 35th anniversary. I gave the other two stars for the company
Website says services and features open on limited basis. It is correct they are open. But no employees are scheduled to work. Tricking people out of hundreds of dollars every night. Made 2 appointments for couple massages and deluxe spa package with fancy scrubs and smells. Both times: No spa staff, no call to cancel, no apologies, no comp, no happy ending...
Would not have booked room if I knew everything listed as open in the resort didn't have staff to open and operate. Confusing word play. Bravo!!!
Simply class. Course is in great shape and the shampoo in the room is to die for.
Attended a wedding there. Beautiful area, good facilities, great food!
Rooms were clean but lots of bugs. Golf course was in good condition but expected better quality. The price was good though so can't complain. Would highly recommend to friends.
Beautiful resort with top-notch accommodations and well maintained. One course more challenging than the other, so that makes it perfect for anyone's game. Food a bit pricey but good and friendly service all around.
I knocked it down a star for a couple of reasons: For a resort focused on golf, I'm shocked the food service at the turn wasn't better. Nothing pre-made our quick prep. Had to wait 15 -20 minutes for our order, causing a bit of a backup at 10. Also had an issue with shipping my clubs - clubs were never brought down to the pick up area causing delay. Resort took responsibility which was good but for these basic 'normal' golf resort services they seemed to fall a bit flat. But don't let this keep you from going. All in all very good experience.
Amazing place to visit. Staff was very freindly and helpful.
An amazing place. The view of the river was very relaxing. The only thing I think needs revision is the menus at the restaurants- from my vegetarian view point. The cafe for the pool had poor options, and the one vegetarian option at the "fancy" dinner place was the "token veggie option"- not exciting or unique at all, and absolutely not worth the 30.00 price- laughable. But everything else there was wonderful, so still 5 stars. Just maybe skip the food. There are plenty of places to go outside the resort.
Great location for colonial Williamsburg and bush gardens. The shuttles take you right to the entrance. Lots of great facilities on the grounds and the food is not that expensive. Would definitely stay there again
Restaurants were sub-par, both in service and hours of operation. Staff was stellar, except in the restaurants.
Really fantastic property! Great service! Would definitely stay here again.
Elegant, classy, and at the same time relaxed and friendly. Outstanding service and food. Highly recommended.
Stay away from this place! I booked one night through Expedia. It was the worst experience ever. I thought I was going to have a relaxing day by the pool with drinks and food but all the pools were closed for potential thunderstorm. The sun was bright and shining and they still closed! Even the indoor pool was shut down! I paid $240.00 for a night! I can not even use the pool in the morning because check out is at 11am and the pool opens at 10am. The worst part was at night time where I had to hear the loud noise from the guests next door till 2am in the morning! I called the front desk to let them know if they could tell them to quite down! Apparently they called but they never quite down till 2am!!!
Worst experience ever!!!!
This resort is for family fun and has multiple things to do for family and friends or even for yourself
Great resort. Great golf, tennis and work out areas. Very quiet and serene place to visit marina restaurant has wonderful view of the James River.
We spent three nights at this resort while we toured the Colonial Triangle. This was a stunningly beautiful resort with wonderful amenities. The condo we rented was amazingly comfortable and clean. There are many good restaurants on site and full room service. At $199/night the condo was an amazing deal.
We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again. Service and amenities were amazing.
Played the River Course. Enjoyable layout with some nice holes. Greens were in great shape. The rest of the course was generally in nice shape but had some spots that were being repaired after the colder than usual winter.
The location is great; I could sit on the back porch of my room and look out over the water. The customer service was absolutely impeccable, personal attention and a swift response to even the most minor requests. Rooms though... My room felt like a slightly upscale version of a motel 6. The view was spectacular, but nothing about the room itself was noteworthy on the positive side... As to negatives: the standard size beds were too small for a couple to share, there was no microwave or fan, and there were spiders both inside and out. If you're a professional running a conference or just really into golf this might be the place for you, but if you're traveling as a family I'd recommend going to Great Wolf Lodge instead.
We went to Kingsmill last year and plan to return again with our two kids the last week of June this year. We CAN NOT wait! It's so relaxing...so many wonderful activities to choose from and how can you not love the beautiful views of the James. We love dinner at the Marina...the pool and lazy river. I'm hoping to be able to traverse the grounds to get to the pool from our room. My last minute twisted ankle may put a snag on our long enjoyable walks on the property...but really looking forward to visiting anyway. I also have to commend the staff! They are all friendly and courteous and go above-and beyond to ensure the guests have a relaxing/enjoyable time.
Great place near bush gardens. A bit dated, but overall great place to stay.
My favorite resort! Comfortable rooms, quiet atmosphere and great dining choices.
My wife and I had schedule full days at the spa. From the moment we walked in until the last service, we were treated amazingly. I had never done any of the spa services , besides massages, before. The staff walked me through each step and let me relax and enjoy. The massage was one of the best I have ever had. I chose deep tissue and the pressure was perfect. Only thing that was off was lunch. The food was good, but they did not have a place for us to eat together so they set us up in the indoor pool area. Eating a nice salad with perfectly cooked salmon while inhaling chlorine and having toddlers splashing around was less than ideal. Oh, and since we were there for spa services, we were both naked under the robes. That was also a little uncomfortable since there were families enjoying the pool. Overall the experience was amazing.
this place is excellant. great atmosphere for everyone
Location has been wonderful right next to the James River. The seclusion from the touristy places has been a godsend for our family vacation. The staff have been well trained and the pool and amenities have been outstanding.
Beautiful resort with lovely spacious facilities. Expansive language and well spread out with guest rooms in buildings of five or six each. Unfortunately, we had to walk about a block and a half to get ice. The rooms are nicely furnished and have a large walk-in closet with a balcony overlooking the pond. There is a small refrigerator but no microwave. They strongly encourage you to eat in their facilities. This is touted to be a four Diamond Resort but I seen much nicer, that's sad it's very plush and comfortable.
We had dinner in the elevation restaurant and the dinner itself cost more than our room. Very pricey. My favorite restaurant oh, that James Landing Grille which is a special T's seafood restaurant, was closed during the week, a big disappointment since that's why I came. Regardless, the views are beautiful particularly at sunset.
Still sticks out as one of the best hotels I've stayed at! The hotel itself was spacious and the grounds were so beautiful!
We came for a special event at Bush Gardens Williamsburg. The resort is very conveniently located & runs a shuttle to the park. The room was easy to find, which is important because this place is big. Our room was very comfortable & provided us with everything we could ever need.
What a beautiful place. Rooms were great and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Fabulous get-away with golf, lazy river/pool, close to Busch Gardens and beautiful views of the James River. The staff is beyond wonderful and the food is 5 Star! Worth every penny. Choose from 1 bedroom room to 3 bedroom condos or a house!
We stayed at a two-bedroom Riverside condo. It was a beautiful place with a great view. I have absolutely zero complaints about it. The condo came with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Great location with it being right next to Busch Gardens too.
Went to Kingsmill Resort for a girls spa weekend with a couple of girlfriends. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the James. We all had massages and facials and they were exactly what d you d expect from such a nice resort. I ll definitely be back.
A really nice resort with great customer service. My biggest complaint is that they don't have coffee/tea available all day unless you pay for it. When you're there for boring conferences you need the caffeine to stay awake.
Great rooms and services to attractions. (Water Country USA and Busch Gardens.
Great resort, friendly staff and close to Busch gardens. I love this place.
A good getaway but the phone and internet connection sucks.
We got a room, that's was supposed to be river facing but ended up looking at a construction fence and a port-a-john. Staff was friendly and the food was good if priced like a higher scale resort. All in all just feels a little old and costs more than it's worth.
Golfing was great but I have to say not happy with the employee that knocked on my door and let himself in my room to ask me when I was leaving at 8:30 in the morning check out is 11 went to the front desk and just got brushed aside I'd have to say
save your money it's not worth the bullshiy next time I'll stay at a holiday inn
Very nice place and very good quality of service, anything from front desk to restaurants, pools, shuttle bus service etc. Strongly recommended for people who need a good place to relax. Amazing, one of the best I have visited.
Really nice resort. Great for golf, romance or business
Played in a tennis tournament there and the facilities were wonderful.
There for a conference. Facilities were immaculate, and staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
Wonderful resort clean rooms and excellent service.
Only was there for a conference dinner reception and party, but staff was wonderful and food options for different diets and tastes. Plenty of parking. Driving through saw nice residential homes, resort rentals and nice golf course.
Nice place to have a Conference/ Get a Way retreat.
If it wasn't for Busch Gardens Williamsburg, your resort would cease to exist. Stop hindering the growth of the park because you're concerned over noise issues and sight lines when you chose to locate next door to a major amusement park. They were there before you.
Customer service is phenomenal. Lindsay, Associate in charge of seating for comedy show was very helpful and accommodating.
The comedy show was a blast! Clean fun jokes are hard to come by, for sure!
Breakfast included variety of hot prepared food.
We will definitely return next year!!
Beautiful setting, excellent service, and plenty of things to do. You can spend full days at the resort (restaurants, pools, tennis, and golf) or take a shuttle to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, or Colonial Williamsburg. Overall, a great destination for a family vacation.
