Overall nice resort and close to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Very friendly staff and good service.
Had fun. Could if done better. Watch where your balls goes in the rough. Will be hard to find if you don't have an eagle eye.
Excellent place to stay, everything in walking distance... beautiful view from the room. Indoor and outdoor pools, great restaurants also.
Watch out for DOUBLE BILLING on your Credit Card Statement
Rooms are clean. Wifi's fast. Could probably do better with cable options, but there's only so much one can do. Shuttle is quick and easy. Landscape is beautiful. If I had the money, I'd probably live here.
An amazing resort to stay at when your in the area. My wife and I spent our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was a great choice. The rooms are spacious and the amenities are plentiful. One of the best ones is when you want to go somewhere at the resort, you call the front desk and gold cart comes picks you up! While this resort is more expensive than others in the area, it s worth every dollar! Plus, you re minutes from Busch Gardens!
Played a major tournament over the weekend. Most of the staff seemed confused and pro shop gentlemen could care less about being in the customer service business. Courses were nice layouts but the courses were too wet to enjoy.
Kingsmill Resort country club is a nice place. Not too stodgey but not ultra modern either. The staff was extremely friendly and professional which was a treat. It was really nice to see a truly diverse mix of people at the club as well. You don't have to play golf to be a member as they have social memberships that allow use of the clubhouse. The grounds are exquisite and it is located pretty much next door to Busch Gardens so it's convenient.
Only played the golf course, but the staff was really nice and welcoming. River course has so many great views for the last few holes and is challenging all the way through for the serious gamer!
Came for a conference. Room was clean and very comfortable. Included a Keurig, and microwave. Bedding was amazing. Weather was bad, so I didn't see much of resort, but staff was friendly and professional and food provided to conference was good. Facilities were above average.
We stayed in a double room it was small but very clean lived the shower and that wonderful bed and pillows oola la! The pool was great water temp was perfect. We ate at the river pool. food was good and the young man serving us was friendly and very nice the shuttle service was great going to Colonial Williamsburg with a very friendly driver. The landscape was beautiful and the sidewalks were so nice I had to take a picture of them. Loved the resort
great place! pricey but if you the Best vacation spot, this is it! ENJOYED every moment
One of the nicest places I have ever stayed right on the James River just a beautiful area
Very very nice area. Meeting rooms at the resort were very nice as well. Would definitely recommend this resort for both personal and business visits ...easy to access from Newport news airport also 27 min easy drive
A peaceful oasis right next to Busch Gardens and 5 minutes to Colonial Williamsburg and W&M. Service is fantastic, amenities are top knotch... lazy river and pool area are the best especially with kids
Very nice, but there is not much to do with young and small. The lazy river pool was love that more enjoyed the children
Golf courses are amazing. Beautiful views both on the course and from the resort. Lots of activities to do both at the resort and around Williamsburg with shuttle service to all destinations. One of the two courses hosts an LPGA tournament and is very difficult but they also have an easier course that is more relaxing, recommend playing both (and you might shoot a personal best like me)
I had the most relaxing vacation of my life at Kingsmill. Beautiful, serene, peaceful, amd lovely.
Suite was nice... But TV was broken and took maintenance 2 hours to fix. Also had them come out and start two fires in the fireplace and they both died...I bought a lighter to fix it myself.
Resort and rooms were great, had some really noisy squeaking from above our room that woke us up early. Sounded like an old house.
Second time here and it is a gem. Great place for family and friends. This time a great place to escape with my wife.
Wonderful resort on the James River. It is great for families going to Busch Gardens due to the proximity. Spacious rooms and great restaurants and amenities. I would highly recommend this resort.
I loved my stay here...It is so beautiful with all the Christmas stuff... My girls loved finding the elf on the shelf everyday while we were there...I loved roasting marshmallows by the fire....
Check in was terrible and check out was very slow, but my room was great.
We visited here on the memorial day weekend. The resort was totally amazing and we loved the experience. There was a lot to do for the whole family. We had fun in the lazy river, walking around the resort, enjoying all it had to offer. Totally would love to go again.
Reasonably priced resort in the heart of Williamsburg, VA located closed to Jamestown and Yorktown. Stellar customer service, good room though the exterior balcony could use some TLC.
Very nice. The front desk brought me a cheese and fruit plate for my birthday. Exceptional service.
Nicely kept, clean & courteous atmosphere w very attentive staff.
I have been going there for over 20 years. I always enjoy the golf. My son loves the swimming pool. It's very close to many attractions in the area
Beautiful grounds, awe golf, good food and first class staff. Loved my time at Kingsmill resort.
A wonderful place to get away from it all. The marina have delicious food and the amenities of the resort are second to none.
Very clean with lots of things to do. Wait time for ordering/getting food was a little long.
Beautiful resort on the James River. Staff is helpful, friendly and make you feel right at home.
Great place with a lot of things to do. Sadly many activities close pretty early around 7pm but otherwise a pot of activities to do. Theres a gold place, outdoor and indoor swimming, jet ski, biking, and etc. Beware, on Saturdays, many activities clise an hour early for some reason, otherwise, the place we stayed at was very nice and relaxing. I would rate it 4.8 stars but those activities ending early were a bit of a bummer. Theres free shuttles and golf carts available for call do you can transport around.
Not as nice as ANCC in DC, but a nice place for an event in the area without a 2-hr drive
Employees were cordial, staff was welcoming, food was good, wait staff was very efficient
This place is beautiful and worth have every penny.
The area is great and the park shuttle was very convenient. Only minor things subtracted from our stay...clogged drains, gnats flying around the rooms, etc. Beds are so comfortable!
THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER..DO NOT GO HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL BECAUSE YOUR FATHER IS IN THE HOSPITAL. There are a ton of other golf courses in Williamsburg and I highly suggest you golf elsewhere.. called the day before to make a reservation and called to cancel that same day, was not told about the cancellation fee and had to cancel because my father is in the hospital. They would not refund or cancel our reservation at all! I have never received such awful customer service in my entire life. Katrina, the woman even accused me of lying about his hospitalization and said the only way they would cancel is if we drive 3 hours to provide documentation of his hospitalization. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR PROVIDING GUEST EXPERIENCE. OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND I WILL NEVER SUGGEST KINGSMILL TO ANYONE.
Enjoyed a lovely work retreat here. The staff was warm and friendly, rooms were beautiful, and the restaurants were brilliant. I would definitely go here again.
Stayed here for a weekend trip to Busch Gardens. The room was nice and clean, staff at reception and the lobby restaurant were friendly and helpful. Best thing was the shuttle to Busch Gardens, saved us some money on parking :). Definitely recommend for a quick weekend trip.
My experience was shaped by the organized event my family and I were attending, but the Resort seemed to host the event without a hitch and the living spaces were immaculate.
Nothing to complain about!
I go here every single year and it's the BEST place I have ever been. Bonus: You have the world's most beautiful theme park right next door. I love it because it's so chill and relaxing. Just what I need as a kick start for summer.
Came for a friend's wedding. Beautiful resort with great accommodations. Would stay again!
Wayne, the GM is super nice. We had some issues but he very quickly corrected them for us.
Was not in the best of shape when we visited. We're played both courses. The pro shop is very small for a big named venue. The bartenders were great during our visit.
Do not go before September, way too many loud children and this becomes a problem when trying to sleep or rest in the guest rooms.. kids jumping and running and complaining to management does not work. Left days early couldn't enjoy our vacation there.
Great amenities but the food could have been better
The resort itself was great. Our 2 bedroom condo was spacious and spotless. The grounds were beautiful and the employees were helpful. We were there for a wedding and the only compliant we would have is that we were really disappointed in the food. Other than that everything was great!
The service was excellent! We were accommodated near our friend's condo and received excellent service from the concierge. Our room was extremely comfortable, spacious, and clean. We will definitely be returning in the future!
Exceptional service, fast check in. Really good cocktailso at the pool. Clean rooms, great staff, and I have only been here a few hours.
Awesome resort beautiful rooms great place to take the family
Resort was nice. The staff were very nice and professional. The golf course was nice for the area, however it's extremely over priced.
Hit the disaster button. Cancel your trip now, first time I give a golf a 1star review. I am a former PGA pro, not a random Sunday hacker, but that does not matter. Booked weeks in advance, was not told greens would be spiked/aerated. Huge chunks of grass were cut out in front of half the greens...including all par5s so a great 2nd shot to the middle became a short mud ball.
Told staff we were not happy with it at the pro shop but all we got is yeah it's in rough shape. Employees did not stop engines when we teed up or putted... I mean you expect that at every golf... But at a Championship course they shall know such basics. There were piles of sand Everywhere BUT in bunkers... Played 8 other courses after in Williamsburg area they were all in much better shape and a lot cheaper... Viniterra stood out, great great shape and layout.
Oh I almost forgot... They were building like 25 houses at the same time....it was LOUD, beautiful 16th is horrible now they put houses everywhere the Ocean view should be... What a shame... Only to make more money that is almost a crime. Very disapointed... Longuest review ever for me and most negative.
Beautiful grounds. Staff is friendly and the accommodations are lovely I will be back
Played golf on the planation course and was extremely disappointed. The grass in the rough was over 4" s high and grass clippings were piled up in the fairways and roughs. We spent at least 45 minutes or more looking for balls just off the fairways.
The location is perfect for visiting the historic triangle of jamestown, williamsburg, and yorktown. As well as Virginia Beach. It is a very large resort with 3 pools, golf courses, a marina, bike rentals, etc. The rooms are expansive. It is pricey, but we wanted a really nice place to come and tour and spend time with the kids. The only knocks are the dining room table was dirty when we got there and the lazy river doesn't open until memorial day so the kids missed that. Otherwise we are having a great time.
This place is so.. I don't know, rich and uppity, that you would think they would be more pet friendly. But no. They have a strict no pet policy. The room was okay, not really anything to rave about. The best part was the pillows to be honest.
Great views. Family friendly. Clean rooms. Great food.
Great service and beautiful property ! Our second time staying...we had a great time!!!
Fun place to watch a tournament. Didn't get to play there yet.
Beautiful place, awesome rooms and all of the staff were amazing
Extremely nice place to stay. It is beautiful and comfortable. There is plenty to do and we had a nice view of marina from our room.
Just be ready to pay a pretty penny for every extra you want to add.
Very nice grounds, beautiful location on the (historic) James River.
That said, the rooms are very average and dated. We received very poor service at the "fine dining" restaurant--though the manager did compensate us for our trouble
Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice pool area and lazy river
