King's Dominion-Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Review

This is the place to come for fun. Its popular so can get busy but they have an amazing track record. Way better than BG or 6flags.

Kids Zone needs 2 workers per ride. They take forever swinging their ropes, stay on their phones, and several workers wreaked of weed when buckling us in. Ran out of ice, sodas, and ice cream by 2pm. Other than that most of the experience was ok. Issues with them stopping rides for 20+ mins due to people being rude and smoking in lines. Usually much better than this.

Great place with lots of fun but has become overpriced through the years.

Kids loved it. Just make sure you eat before you go. A slice of pizza cost 10 bucks.

Been here many times...always a blast. Very clean and well kept considering the park's age. Only one complaint...some employees could try a little harder to be pleasant. I realize that dealing with the public can get frustrating and redundant, but at least make an attempt.

Great coasters, go early June on a weekday and you won't have any lines to deal with. Save the 305 for last, it can make you nauseated.

For one it's in Virginia. Two. It have some thing different to offer than Carowinds, here in NC. And, on a daily pass. It's cheaper.

Theater was really unique. People were very good at acting and the stunts were outstanding.

We went most recently for the winterfest. It was ok but a little too cheesy. The good part was it wasn't too crowded and the rides open are great for smaller kids. My 6 year old had a blast but my 14 year old was kind of bored. There just isn't a lot to do. The cost for ice skating or taking a carriage ride is outrageous. There really aren't many shops or food options. If the admission cost was a bit lower it would have been worth it but the limited activities and time didn't justify the cost. Maybe if you have a season pass and get a discount for winterfest it would be ok.

Rides are pretty awesome. The staff, overall, is okay minus the 16 year old kids working the rides that don't know what they're doing and the girls at the concession stand that treat you like you just burned their house down instead of merely asking to order a soda. Pack a cooler, bring your own food; the park permits reentry... no brainer. The crowd itself is a little rough around the edges but that's to be expected at an amusement park. I have to remind myself that it's a damn theme park, not the opera, there's not going to be sophisticated people of class and culture there. There's a lot of low class people there, if you know what I mean. Their Halloween production is good. Overall, good park.

The soak city was the best part, so many things to do there. The intimidator ride will shock you

More roller, and better, coasters than Busch Gardens. Water park included with ticket price. Better.

My experience at Kings dominion was amazing. The water park may not live up to the quality that other parks may have but the roller coasters are to die for. I loved the intimidator 305. Which I Nick named the sleeper because so many folks passes out on it. Visited twice already for the summer and may have one return before the summer vacation ends

We have a family pass for 5. We go as many times as we can throughout the year. We have never had any issues. Of course during prime time the food lines are ridiculous so just know that. Also for water play, make sure your kiddos floaties are approved . I forget what mark it has to have but if they don t have it they will let you leave them and you can pick up later.

We took kids, 10,9,7 to Halloween haunt and the second day they did not not the no boo necklace. They did not do the mazes but walked around just fine. I also recommend going Friday nights because Saturday s were insane!

So many rides. Very clean .4 stars because the food at restaurants is too costly.

We loved the rides. We loved the Soak Park. We loved sharing our time with our friends at your park.

We, however, did NOT like after spending $15 for a refillable cup that advertised the "Soak Park" but couldn't fill up our cups in that park or near that park??? Nonsense!

My friend, her daughter & I are on special diets. You strong-arm us in that we can't bring in good food items; but, don't offer good, healthy choices. Many items were fried! Yuck! I did see a very nice salad after we ate, sadly, French fries, which aren't substantial! Please offer a side salad at ALL eateries! We did see a Chinese restaurant on our way out of the park.

We ate "The School Buffet." No green anything! Hotdogs, chicken nuggets, beans, soda, chips & ice cream. No! Where's a salad? A piece of fruit? Please provide GOOD choices!

Please, I beg you, provide your guests with better quality food choices. Allow us to pack our holistic foods so we can enjoy our time without going without.

Awesome it was my first time there and it was great lines weren't bad just pure fun

Long lines, broken rides and very expensive and horrible food. I recommend taking your own food unless you want to pay $20.00 for a flimsy cheeseburger.

I really enjoy myself yesterday May 27, 2019. It's a good place to make memories with your kids, family, friends or your significant other. It's been 5 years since I've been to Kings Dominion & a lot has changed. Splash city is really nice, but the wave pool was too crowded. I think they need to add more water rides so it can take away from everyone going to the wave pool. Plus the wave pool isn't that big. For a hot amusement park, they need water sprinkles around the area & something for shade. I must say, the Grand Canyon ride, the attendance was very rude that night in not letting us know when to get off nor assistance us where to get off at. They didn't giving us enough room to get onto the platform. Someone could have really gotten hurt getting off the ride. Everything is high there in prices. I did purchase a waist band online for all day food every 90 minutes but it didn't include a drink in which you will have to purchase separately. The picture prices really changed. I couldn't purchase a small wallet like I did before back in 2014. The cheapest was 19.99. I would suggest just using your phone for picture. Hopefully, y'all would take these comments to help better things for future customers.

It was great and fun the park wasn't over crowded the staff was friendly. The prices was fair compared to some other parks that I looked up. All in all I had a fun time with family.

There were a lot of shady people and I would go with my guy best friend. The entire time we were there random strangers said extremely inappropriate stuff about us right in front of our face. I have gone here ever since I had just learned to walk and I have never experienced such disrespect. And to say this stuff to two 13 year olds and sickening.

Great rides and a family-friendly atmosphere. The family building is by far the best thing they could have for parents with babies. It makes taking care of them so much easier and cleaner than regular restrooms.

Great place for people of all ages. Great roller coasters. Awesome waterpark

I've been to this park several times and have always had a great time! Tons of great rides and a pretty nice water park. The park has lots of options for foods, and shops with trinkets and memorabilia of that's what you like. If you like amusement parks, you'll like Kings Dominion!

I still had a lot of fun but three of the roller coasters were down all day. Including the new twisted timbers and the volcano (Which was down last summer when I went too). I was disappointed. The Cirque show was amazing though.

Lots of funonce you get on the ride, but if your not there at night there is always a long wait (possibly up to a hour). This results in you not being able to hit every ride at least once. I will say however the Intimidater 305 is my personal favorite do to 91 mph speeds, high g-forces, and 305 foot drop. The lines are always short for the Intimidater because people are quite scared of it. Overall a great trip, just be ready to pay a lot for food/drinks.

Haunt was fun. Our group enjoyed the Halloween aspect very much. The prices were very high to get in and the food prices were also extremely high. I am not really sure I could rate this much higher considering the limited amount of time you get in the park for an event like this compared to what you spend. Season pass holders get a better deal but that is only a value if you go to the park constantly.

Fantastic! Went to Virginia to meet family. Afterward we needed to blow off steam and cut loose. We happened to see the sign and decided on impulse to extend our road trip and go. I m so glad we did!

Always a great choice for fun and rides....oh yea and FUNNEL CAKES! It will entertain you all day.

Came for 1 last day of summer and so many rides are closed including all the water rides. They keep saying they will open but they arent. What a joke.

What a fun place! I came here for halloween haunt and we had such an amazing time. The actors were professional and really scary and so were all the themed stations and haunted houses. Its well worth it to come and check it out.

Had a ton of fun at Kings Dominion, of course we went before school was out and it was much nicer during this time and well worth the leave. Everything was great, even though a guy threw up on the Intimidator 305, they cleaned it up quick, and kept things running.

I have recently visited the park and there were little black bugs everywhere. One of my friends had over 50 in her hair, face,and crawling over her shirt.I had a few on my arm and legs. I also noticed other people in the park had the same ones too. If anyone vistes the park knows what they are please let me know.

A lot of fun, awsome rides and as we went on a Sunday was able to get on all the rides with only a few minutes wait

Great Family Fun and Expensive French Fries!

Tons of fun and the Snoopy land is great for the kids

At least it was clean. We came on a slow day. I bought their fast passes because I was told how much time I'd save. What a crock. Most rides done even use the fast pass, none in the water park, and with it being slow there wasn't a single ride all day where we saved even a minute, so over $120 wasted. Several attractions were closed with no warning. Many things cost extra. Dinosaurs alive, many Dino's not working. Slingshot said daughter could ride, bought ticket, made us wait, then changed their minds after she was all suited up, so total waste of time. Terrible signage, have to wait in lines to find out kids aren't tall enough.

The hotel Travelodge is in need of a FULL makeover!!! If I could win the lotto I would invest in the property and debone the PLACE inside and out and make it Beautiful!! And the 90min rule for the $29.99 all day meal bracelet is not a good DEAL! There should NOT be a time limit on when you can eat! The $14.99 all day drinks..yeah ok, but you have to pay $1 for each refill which your actually paying more!! Get it together Kings Dominion!!

Not the cleanest as it used to be and the fast lane is the worst idea ever. No monitor on it to let a few in so on more popular rides it back ups very quickly. Only benefits kings dominion.

Years ago this park did not look anywhere near as good as it does now. I'm not going to say it's on the level of Disney World, but it is very nice now

I have been a frequent visitor of this delightful theme park for the past 3 years. I love the rollercoaster options and the wonderful events they have throughout the season. Halloween is my favorite time to visit. The lines for rides can be long at times, but if you visit during certain days of the week, you'll get lucky and encounter little to no lines. The season pass is definitely worth it if you are a thrill seeker such as myself.

Great amusement park. Parking and food are on the expensive side but rides and atmosphere make up for it. Went on a Sunday, no crowds, no waiting for rides at all.

We went for Haunt this is only my second time going and it was even better than the first time.

Always thrilled to visit and never covered all rides on a single day. But everything is crowded especially Soak city and food is too costly inside.

This is an awesome amusement park for kids and adults of all ages very nice kids area with camp snoopy and if ya a lil older the coasters are great they have intimidator 305 which I think is one of the most intense coasters in the world looking for a great day check em out
