King's Dominion-Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Review

The coasters are actually really good. Even in the summer time on a weekend the lines for the top rides (Intimidator, Volcano, Dominator) weren't that long. Water park at soak city was pretty good too. My kids had a blast at both days.

It is an excellent place to visit with family and friends

Relatively short lines for an amusement park. Water park admissions is included in the price of admission. We spent most of our time in the water park as the temperature for the day was approaching 100 degrees. The lines here were s-l-o-w! They waited for every slide to be clear before allowing anyone to proceed down. This is strange. I know the extras at theme parks are always more expensive, but I was not prepared for the food prices here. We went to get our son chicken nuggets and almost fell on the floor at the price of $16.

I thought Cedar Fair really brought new wind into this place when the procured the property in 2005. The staff really needs work. We saw staff members letting folks cut the lines and they all look like they would rather sit on a molten rod iron stake than work there. The Dominator was down again. I feel like it is always down. The Volcano... It had a 3 hour wait. Something really needs to be done with that.

My son truly enjoyed the Monster trucks at Kings Dominion and getting pictures taken with Dennis Anderson and his sons! Dennis Anderson and his sons are truly stand up guys!!! They spent 15 minutes signing are gear and taking photos and talking with my family!

Today Is my 32nd Wedding Anniversary we had a great time

It truly was a fantastic experience. I have been to Kings Dominion before. But yesterday was a first for Frieght Fest. I truly enjoyed!

They have really been trying to update the park and many of the rides. The improvements are very nice and help raise the overall atmosphere. The water park area really needs some looking after. Many of the attractions are unable to run due to mechanical issues.

I have always found going after 12pm there aren't as many long tines. I do wish there were more maps around the park. With my stupid sense of direction it was a little confusing weaving through blindly. But its possible I just missed picked up a map to carry around from the entrance.
Otherwise, loads of fun as always! Twisted Timbers was really shaky so if you have a week neck, I suggest being careful.

Best waiting in line simulator ever. The load times are not that bad.

Its Really good for family time. The food is good. And the employees are really nice.

Great time, well planned park layout with a wealth of available restrooms and hydration options. Numerous classic rides as well as contemporary high speed roller coasters, well attended to, with line queues that are efficient and simple. Weather dependent, so check before going.

Me and my son were driving back from Busch gardens and we decided to stop for a couple of hours. I really liked the park,very clean, and has a lot of shade. My only complaint is the mapping system you could brely figure out were your going. Really enjoyed it

Park was great! So many fun rides! Loved everything we rode. Food prices are insane (even for a theme park) and not all that great. You can honestly eat cheaper at Disney! There are some really grouchy employees here that need a lot more training. The few nice ones we ran into were REALLY nice though. Park was clean! I noticed on a few rides that they didn't fill the cars to capacity even though the line to get on was long. If a ride held 4 people, they'd send it down with just 2 people. Search the line for a party of 2! Fill it up and cut the wait time!

Employees in dining establishments could at least act like they like people.

If you like roller coasters, I think this is the best amusement park in the NC/Va area. The kids area is also very good for the little ones.

Very nice place , full of entertaining rides and water park

I love this amusement park. There are some of the best rollercoasters and a variety of rides that are so unique. The place is clean, fun, a variety of food and beautiful fireworks! I think it's more fun than Busch Gardens and the lines are generally shorter. There's just so much to do and so much to ride. Great for all ages. Also, the water park is great. I went when walking around in the heat all day. There are two wave pools, a lot of slides, slides with tubes and it doesn't cost extra. The Waterpark and park is one set price. It's a great all day place. Also during Halloween, they have the best decorations and mazes.

I mean they sell u a season pass with out free parking so 20 $ every time u show up to ride,godforbid they tell u 23$ more gold pass is free parking..y would they evan sell silver passes...

The coasters are great and so is the experiences if you you lots of fun make sure your 54 inches and try the water park

Food prices way too high.

4 rides broken down. Got stuck on one ride for 15 min and nothing complimentary offered. Thank goodness I got discount tickets. The new ride the timber was shut down most of day. The intimidator was shut down most of day.. I have been here several times but this was the worst. I do recommend buying the bottle for all day drinks! Food really expensive! At chick fila a fruit cup was almost $6.00!
Overall disappointed with ride upkeep. This was not even a busy day! Longest wait was 10 min if that. I would hate to see what it would be like on a busy day. Also cant poat any pics cause the fun pix thing is a joke! I paid and cant get my pics. I have called customer service 4 times only answering machine. Emailed them only to have them say they are checking with park. I calles park and they have no access to fun pix... like i said overall disappointed!

Twenty dollars to park! Then I get into the park and several of the rides malfunctions right before I'm getting ready to board them. Even the elevator in the Eiffel Tower stopped working while I was on the top of the platform. Not only me but my son stood in line for the Twisted Timbers over thirty minutes then they had to shut it down because of a breakdown. Not happy with my experience.

Fun for all ages! Plenty of thrill rides, especially roller coasters!

Had a blast with the kids for Halloween! Food and drink are a tad bit expensive, but to be expected. We will definitely visit next year!

It's a great park but the thing is that this isn't a top tier ceder point park so they are not going to be getting stuff evrey year, but whenn i go to bg i know most of the time there is away countruction but still its beter then a six flags park but not better the bush gardens i rather go to busch gardens witch is one hour away then go to a pack bussy kings dimonn. I hope ceader fair puts a little for effort in this park beacuse it has potential

Loved the thrilling rides. Especially the intimidator!

Twisted Timbers and Intimidator 305 are the stars of the show! Crowds were moderate on a Monday in July, had no problem getting on any rides.

It was a overall good experience but I would recommend bringing your own food because the restaurants can get very crowded

Good experience but I wish it was more family oriented. I believe it is more for teenagers. I miss the shows.

This theme park is okay. It's not a very special one compared with others. It has no many shows during opening seasons. Most of rides are broken down like every single day (happened to me and my family all the time when we were in the line). The services from every worker here at KD are so slow, especially when tried to get some food, and of course food is super expensive in the park. If you visit during summer and wanted some drinks they said "there is no ice!" And yes, that's would be very seriously, who wants drink without cold ice? The entire operation season, 2017, I and my family have hadn't seen any shows because there was none. We had season passes and dining plan. Cost over $200/member. Each time we got meals, the actual cost is about $6/meal interval of 4 hrs and you get 2 times max each time visit the park. You can't get more than that. Because the Dining Plan is: they're already put it in planned! It's wouldn't enough for all day hungry walked for little dinner! The water park, it's not worth it, special in the hot and humid months you imagine that everyone gets swetty and jumped in the water every where, feeling more dirty and smelled stinky. You should better do NOT touch the water or you may get sick, who knows. The KD has no improvement since the last 10 years I and my kids came. Most of rides are staying the same but some also been removed. Thought that, KD is supposed to expand and should have more interest new land(s) for today and tomorrow people enjoying.

Rollercoasters & food. A lot of kids rides and activities.

Family fun for all ages. The lazy river was the most fun I have had in years. I will be going back again. We had an package that included refill on drinks every 15 minutes & entree's every 90 minutes. Terrific time had by all.

I suggest not to come to Kings Dominion on a Saturday unless you dont care about long waits. It was awesome coming here. I will come back. Things are just too expensive like a water bottle which is $5.

It was awesome. when I wemy shock wave the end of the ride bumped my head but other than that coaster it was great I didn't have any problem with domanator the launch on volcano was smooth but the one coaster we mid was intimidator305

KD has always kept a special place in my hesrt. Great rides and tasty food. Just wish the lines didn't have you standing for 3 hours.

Ride operators need to be more faster when checking Busch ride operators are more faster just FYI

Removed bins for personal belongings. Don't buy souvenir cup, no place to put it while riding. You must buy a locker to keep cup in for entire day while you ride, having to go back to locker every time you want a drink.

I'm still reeling from the kiddie rides they were forcing me to ride with my kids. Otherwise nice place to walk

This is a childhood favorite and continues to be. I am giving them 4 stars because in a couple of visits, the volcano has been broken, a common problem with other rides. Secondly, depending on your weight and height, you may fit some rides and some you may not; try out the seats before standing in line.

The one thing that I don't like it in Kings Dominion is it always crowded.

I haven't gone to an amusement park in years, and this one is pretty small. It's fun, however, though it can be busy so I would suggest going on a weekday towards the end or the very beginning of the season. They are very concerned for the safety of their guests, and while I was there with my friend the rides were shut down for maybe 15 minutes as there was a storm warning for the county. They announced both when the rides closed and opened and explained the reason. They also informed guests about the heat advisory for the day and reminded guests to keep hydrated. I do have to say, when they tell you your items to be secure in a pocket or a locker, they mean it. While on the Incinerator, my phone flew out of my pocket and did end up landing inside the roller coaster area. The staff was extremely helpful and told me to register it as lost and come back at the end of the day so I could help look for it as it wasn't safe to go into the fenced in area for either me or the workers. During the time when the rides were closed due to weather, I went back to ask if we could look for it then. As it turns out they had already searched the grounds and found my phone. Unfortunately, it was broken and I had to get a new one, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience.

Great rides and variety of stuff to enjoy. Lots available for the price but the food is not very good. Loved the Rita custard ice cream, though.

Been to this amusement park for over 2 decades and seen it change hands from Paramount to CBS. Currently the park is clean, fun and we'll managed. Prices are the worst part of the park. If you are a local, I recommend looking and season pass/bundles for the best bang for your buck.

You will get great family time but take some snacks with you bc the food is terrible.

Twisted Timbers, new adventure for 2019....come on out to the park early before the crowds, get better parking choices

I come here every summer it fun the food is so good but the Waterpark I fell the life Guard did not help me

Food and drink prices are nuts. Also if you have season pass or a ticket you should not have to pay extra for certain rides and attractions (go carts)

Took four granddaughters to Kings Dominion for the day. We had a great time. My legs weren't quite long enough to keep up with them though.
