Most of the rides were closed or having technical issues. We had to wait for 2 hour to get to the line inside the ride, when there they shut down because a technical issue. If you are going to open make sure the rides are working before opening to the public. It was a waste of time and money, between the long lanes and the rides getting shut down.

Decent rides and attractions for ages 3 to 6 and teens. Need more for adults maybe few more shows. Complimentary small water cups help on hot days. Parking fee is outrageous. Tickets would have been too high too but for discount through a company. Too many fair type prize games. Plenty of parking. Lines pretty efficient. Labor day weekend.

Very kid friendly, lots of rides and food choices. I love their candy apples, the best, my must get every visit. They host lots of events throughout summer and early fall. For Halloween they create a pumpkin patch for children, fright fest I say is for children 12 maybe 11 and older. They do fireworks for the week of the fourth of July. Military free that week, their friends and family get discounted prices. If you go a lot like I do, it's best to get a season pass. Gold pass parking included, silver pass you pay parking. Parking is $20. Also with season passes you get discount on park purchases, only the stores though. Street carts dont do the discount. They also offer payment options for season passes, if you dont want to pay it all at once. I also love how the water park is in the park, so no having to drive to another park. Waterpark, does have lockers to store your stuff. It cost, cant remember how much. I used it once, learned some hacks that i use so i can keep my stuff on me, like puting my phone and wallet in ziploc bags so it dont get wet. Also you can try leaving the items in a diaper, wrapped up like a used one if you want to leave your items in a chair. Speaking of chairs, chairs at the water park go quick, if you're going to be there all day best to get there as soon as they open to snag a good spot, and chairs. My kids and I really enjoy Kings Dominion we go every year. So much so my friends joke and say I should live there during the season (lol).

Nice amusement park, if you get discounted or special priced tickets it's definitely worth the money, but due to quickly changing weather conditions people visiting from far away might get screwed over. Most rides operate well aside from the older ones, and the staff was mostly pleasant but really need new microphones, it's frustrating to be given instructions by a ride operator that you can't hear due to the low quality microphones. There are plenty of food options and they are all pretty tasty but will run you about $15 a person so you're probably better off waiting til you get home to eat. Overall a good experience, but some parts of the park need to be updated and the crew should be given the appropriate tools to do their job.

As far as amusement parks go, its got your money worth of entertainment, and speaking of money, you won't break the bank getting in here. Good nearby overnight accommodations if needed.

If you go on a weekday afternoon, you can go on more rides than you can on the weekend. We've been on a Saturday and rode maybe 6 or 7 rides because the lines are so long. Then went on a weekday afternoon from 5-10pm and went on 13 rides, and rode some of them two times in a row, and we even got in the front of every roller coaster.

Super clean park in general. The employees were knowledgeable, friendly, and safety conscious. Cedar Fair always manages their parks well (especially compared to Six Flags). I have a season pass to their park Worlds of Fun in KC annually. I think if I lived close to Kings Dominion, I would definitely have one for it, too.

Place has definitely improved in terms of cleanliness and overall appearance. Did not like that most of the coasters have removed the personal items bins and force you to rent lockers now though. Having to lock up your water bottle before standing in an hour plus long line on a hot day is frustrating. Some rides even go as far as having metal detectors at the end of the queue and attendants to stop you from bringing drinks in line with you. Look forward to seeing the park after all the renovations are complete though.

If you want thrilling rides or to get an adrenaline rush the coasters here are not for you they are slow and lame maxing out at only 91 mph. On the intimidator i felt no intimidation they could do much better. But if you like lame slow rides with mediocre drops then this is the place for you

Show up early to avoid the long lines! The roller coasters are great, but don't try to save money eating fast food at the park. There's clearly price fixing going on with the on-premisis Chick-fil-A

Great place for the WHOLE family! There is something for everyone here. Tickets can be pricey, but you can look online and find great bundle deals! ALSO, check with your employer. A LOT of jobs have discounts for Kings Dominion!

Fun place ...better then Great Adventure or Dorney park ....prices for food and stuff is about the same as all amusement parks...You can get your hand stamped and leave to go eat outside the park and you can leave the parking lot and come back at no extra charge

Went in the Spring so maybe this is unusual, but I encountered 3 broken coasters throughout the day. One of the break downs happened while I was on the ride! I was trapped in my seat, at the end of the ride, for almost half an hour. It was not fun. Yes there were some great rollercoasters like the Intimidator and the new Claw coaster, but for the most part the food was really over priced, the park wasn't really that pretty, and the rides kept breaking. From now on, I'm just gonna stick with Busch Gardens. So much better and not that far away.

You sit there and take away the bins on half the rides forcing people to pay for lockers, but you can't even keep the rides working. Your solution of course it to just tear rides down without a replacement already in place. This of course was announced after people already purchased season passes.
Place is freaking ghetto as hell now too! No charm or good vibe there at all.

Go to Busch Gardens. You will be much happier!

Great for all ages! Good deals on food and season passes. Drink specials too! These extras make your day comfortable. If you go twice a year, it is worth having the season passes and food/drink specials.

I have been to King s Dominion ever since my dad took me as a little girl. Last June. My family attended the Ride and Run Series. We ran a 5k, earned a medal and then enjoyed an admission to the park for the day! This park has had new rides come in and other rides go and others renamed. Who remembers the Rebel Yell, the Grizzly to name a few. I often yearn for Busch Gardens rides. Unfortunately, At King s Dominion, I lost my wallet when I ordered food at the Country Kitchen. I reported it to Lost & Found who told me to enter a case online as it hadn t been turned in. I received a call right after I entered in a ticket. Fortunately, my friend was running a Marathon the following day. She was able to claim my wallet for me . I was quite impressed with this system. My wallet was returned untouched and money inside. The four stars is for the park being up dating some parts of its park but remaining outdated and not as clean in other areas like the restrooms that have me driving the extra distance to Busch Gardens for the total package.

This is an excellent amusement park for any thrill seeker. The park sacrifices more in depth theming on many rides and instead makes the rides more thrilling. There are countless amazing roller coasters including the Dominator and the Intimidator. The food is expensive, but tickets are fairly cheap. The park is also very clean.
