King's Dominion-Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Review

Beautiful grounds and lots of fun things to ride. There's a great mix of modern thrill rides and classics; really something for almost everyone. I read somewhere that this is the largest Planet Snoopy kids area in the world, I don't doubt it. It doesn't take anything away from the rest of the park though. I highly recommend getting dining and drink plans as the per-meal prices will add up quickly. They currently offer an all-day meal option that has plenty of food choices and allows you the flexibility to dine on your schedule. We were also impressed at how the walkways are mostly shaded and there are plenty of places to have a seat.

love this place, its my go to when I have my kids. Season pass, photo pass and meal plan is so worth it.

Close atractions for no reason with a lot of people in it we pay for refill and is not enough places to do it if you found one need to get on long lines bad service

My home amusement-park and is really a moderately expensive park with some really unique coasters. Make sure to have sunscreen as there is not a ton of shade. Intimidator and Volcano the Blast Coaster are my favorites. Food served there is alright but not great.

Im 34 years old and I've been to a lot of theme parks across america. My honest opinion is that kings dominion is more for adults and teens than for kids granted they do have more rollercoaster than bush gardens but bush garden is a much bigger park and family oriented, more food places, more shade, more rides in total throughout the park so i rate KD at a 4

Similar to six flags wish there were more extreme rides and also wish there were wider seats for customers wider then an average person.

The park has seen better days. I hate there are no fast lane passes you can purchase ala carte. Plus no real cool down stations. Other parks had mist blowers for those who don't partake on the water rides. For hot days you need this. Wait times on Twisted Timbers ridiculous. Hence going back to 1st point ala carte fast lane passes. Nice park, but pales in comparison to the days when it was a Paramount theme park.

A fun trip but the cost of food and drink make it a rare treat. It would be much better if we didn't have to leave the park to get lunch and then come back for the afternoon. and then there's parking that you have to deal with therefore they get your money either way. If attendance is down you can look at these facts to know why otherwise don't even ask the question.

Interdaer 305 was down and I drive from martinsburg wva.It was a sad day

I go here at least a few times a year; I actually have season tickets for Summer 2020. Most recently I went for WinterFest. The park was beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Prices are high, we went on a Sunday not bad for lines, not a whole lot of rides

Perfect place to get entertained for kids and adults. be careful with tall kids under 8. some of attractions might allow them to be attended but might frighten them to death.

Sky Flyer was only 20 bucks and it was awesome! The live Carnival show was really cool!

I'm not one for roller coasters personally, but the views, the waterpark, the food and the shops make up for it! really something for everyone here.

All the rides are really fun here. Tickets were cheap, but parking wasn t. Could use maybe two more rides. The Anaconda beat my head up (won t get on that again). But I loved this place as a whole. I ll definitely go again. Also the Italian ice is so0o0o good.

The Christmas decorations and lights are outstanding. My family had a great time. Found it much better than Busch gardens.

My favorite theme park. Operations at this park are well organized and the water park included in the price can't be beat. Intimidator 305 is amazing

Normally I would rate King's Dominion 5 stars but after my experience yesterday I was highly disappointed. My cousin and I went to get on the Intimidator 305 and we're were told we could not take our bag to the ride but that we had to either purchase a locker or leave it with a non-rider( which we didn't have bc it was just the 2 of us). They no longer provide bins for 3 of their rides and try to force guest to purchase lockers for these 3 rides. I find that completely ridiculous considering we're have to lmnasri so much to even enter the park, plus pay for parking, and now they're trying to make people pay for lockers just to ride certain rides. I found that we weren't the only ones who weren't feeling the new locker scam because there were several people who decided to leave their bags in the grass, in the bushes or wherever they could as opposed to renting a locker for 20mins. I highly suggest KD rethink this ridiculous new policy because customers are not satisfied.

Love this place!!! Park and water all In one !!!!!! Been going since I was a kid

Our Family Loves this place. We drive 5 hours to get here, that's how much fun it is.

The family and I went for Winterfest. It didn't have the rides open, but it was nice family trip. If you like shows and ice-skating, then you would like it. The food shops were crowded with long lines, but the few rides were not too long. During the summer, the rides are good, and it's a great amusement park.

This is the first year King's Dominion has had Winterfest, and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been twice with my grandchildren. The lights are beautiful, there are many activities, rides, and shows to enjoy. For the cost of the season pass, we were able to go to the park as much as we wanted from March through December 31st- a very good deal!

Family Fun /awesome staff/they found my phone that I lost somewhere in the park. I had a great time.

The rides are outstanding, but the food there is overpriced.

Fun times Only Fault in the place is food and beverage cost out of the world wish they had outside vendors such as Mickey D's Burger King or someone inside the park it's really a pain to leave the park for food if you're there all day

They don't have kettle corn..... Definitely would be receiving a 5 star if they had kettle corn, but they dont...

Eat all day meal plan was awesome. Getting out of the parking lot takes at least 15 minutes.

Went to The Haunt with a small group of friends. Place was too crowded and the workers seemed like they did not want us there.

Drink, Food, Photo, Fast Pass 'packages' are Overpriced $$.

Fast Pass is an Extra $$ fee/charge, it should be included in your ticket or at least the Season Pass holders.

Food - their Selection of food is limited.

Bathrooms - dirty, wet, No toilet seat cover, toilet paper is very thin. Would rather pay extra money to use a decent bathroom than those large dryers that dry you off after a soaked ride .

Water Park - getting there is a hike! Okay when you arrive, After a long day of swimming, it's an exhausting journey back to the Entrance.

App - Very inaccurate, ride wait time is not even close.

Rides - Fun and lots to choose from, whether novice to getting your extreme thrills, they have it... it just may cost you a little more!

I WENT TO THIS PARK EVERYDAY AS A CHILD DURING THE SUMMER IN THE MID 80`S IM NOT SURE HOW IT ALL HAPPENED BUT I DO REMEMBER A ROLLS ROYCE PICKING ME UP AT THE CAMP GROUND THAT WAS IN THE TRUCK STOP ACCROSS THE STREET AND BRINGING ME OVER EVERY SINGLE DAY I LOVED IT HERE IT WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MY FAVORITE THEME PARK ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT HAD THE CHANCE TO RETURN TO THE PARK AND SEE HANNA BARBARA AND ALL THE OTHERS I WILL ALWAYS BE THANKFULL FOR WHOMEVER PROVIDED ME WITH THIS ULTIMATE GIFT

I certainly enjoyed visiting this super awesome place. The management and staff are very friendly, helpful and informative. It was not too crowded on a Friday night. The drinks and snacks were ultra delicious. Getting out of the parking lot was not alot of trouble at all By The Way. They did a good job of decorating the park for Christmas.

Impressed with their holiday efforts. The lights on the Eiffel Tower are worth the trip alone.

I've been going to Kings Dominion for forever. I love the rides, the atmosphere, just everything! It's like a time machine back to my childhood. I literally get excited to see the Eiffel Tower. I have to resist running through the parking lot to the main gate! It's the best!

I have been going to this park since 1985 and I really do think that it's time for the park to do a revamp. The age is really starting to show and most of the building structures have been there since I first started going. I just came from the water park and I have to say that I doubt that I will be returning any time soon. There must have been over 200 people smashed into one small pool because the second pool is closed down with no plans to reopen this year. Funny, the 2nd pool wasn't open last year either. Besides the water park being a big let down, I can't believe what the park charges for food and drink. It's pretty bad when Kings Dominion charges more for food than Disney World charges. I went to Disney and Universal Studios in Florida last year and the cost of food and drinks were significantly cheaper than Kings Dominion. And why are there so many bees all over the outdoor Coca Cola soda dispensers? While trying to pour soda in my KD drink cup, there were bees actually flying out of the dispensers. Employees sat there and watched the bees, yet did nothing to prevent them from almost stinging their customers. Eventually someone will get stung and KD will have to deal with a lawsuit.
Sorry to post such a negative review; however, I grew up going to Kings Dominion and it really is disappointing to see what has become of it.

A awesome park we had a lots of fun even my 3 year old had fun, the waterpark can be crowded but fun to. The food is very pricey but they have online good deals what I just recommend to everyone to do it saves you a lot of money if you go with a large number of people or family.

My first time going i had a great time with my family yesterday..favorite spot was soak city. It's a lot of walking but it is all worth it.

I love the place really, I've had gold passes my whole life there, but they seriously take you for all your worth -. - they've now gotten rid of the bag bins when you get on a ride and you either have to put your stuff on a random bench then sit in line for an hour and then come back out and get it. Or you can buy a $25 locker that can fit a backpack. The foods also expensive, we always either pack a picnic and keep it in the car or we eat at the burger King right outside the parking lot.

Long lines for the rides deff would go back on a week day and not a weekend foods pretty expensive but that's to be expected

Parking $20. A bowl from Panda Express $14. 20oz bottled pop $4. The only thing reasonable are Starbucks and pop refill cups. When it's hot, this park lacks places to cool off. Not much bench seating. Several coasters are down. This is our fourth Cedar Park and is our least favorite. If you have a season pass you MUST get hand stamp before you go and plan to return (this is the ONLY park that requires this and they're grumpy over it!) Employees look bored. Probably because its blazing hot and nobody wants to drop more money on this place.

Me and my family go here every weekend that there open! Wonderful place to spend the day. Great family fun

Family fun experience! We loved the Monster Jam ride!!!

Had a lot of fun at Kings Dominion. Twisted timbers was my favorite ride. The all day drink refill was amazing for the hot day. Employees were funny and Friendly. Prices are a bit more on the expensive side but overall a great theme park with plenty of rides for old and young.

Always a fun time at kings dominion. The coasters are a thrill and if you gyy o in the off season you can get in line over and over to ride your favorites. They are really good at controlling the crowds in line, but some waits can be long and they have no answer on how long. Download the app for more accurate wait times in the park.

Was great except my kids watching a young female get restrained by security as she yelled F you to everyone... but that's not KD fault just bad parents

Not a bad theme park... Customer service in the park is lacking as many staff didn't have answers to basic questions throughout the day (I seriously had to ask at 3 separate places where to get the standard free refill souvenir cup....) but the park itself is clean and fun. And the season passes are very cheap for what you get so it's worth it going that route.

I was very disappointed when I visited Kings Dominion yesterday with friends. I hadn't been in years and was excited to return. Unbeknownst to us, we were told that the water park was closed because there was no one to work it (the main reason we visited). We logged our swimming attire around with us the whole day because we were not informed previously of this change. We were also excited about the Turkey legs and couldn't wait to sink our teeth into them. All of the restaurants on site that sold them were closed. We ended up going to the Juke Box Diner where we were served cold hamburgers that didn't even melt the cheese and cold fries. I complained and asked for hot food 4 or 5 times and the server kept going back to the same pan where the cold food was, and bringing me the same cold items. Finally maybe 30 minutes later, a Manager came out and finally gave myself and others waiting some hot food. I spent $20 on that meal! There were some water rides available and of course I got my funnel cake, but this was by far, the worst ever visit to Kings Dominion.

We had an awesome time with our grandchildren. All the coasters and water park gas so much to chose from. Loved the water waves. It s a shame they aren t open in this crazy world. I m sure they want to keep everyone safe. Maybe next year

Winterfest is amazing!!! The lights, the shows and the rides are stellar!!! I love Kings Dominion in the summer and now...IN THE WINTER!!! Happy holidays everybody!!!
