Haven't been there in years but went back recently. Some great rides but everything is ridiculously expensive. 1 powerade was $4.50. You can normally get discounted tickets online or from other vendors, but it will be some time before i return

good :intimidator was awesome, short lines on a weekend, bbq and brewfest was cool.
bad: inattentive and rude employees here and there (too many high schoolers), volcano closed, water pretty warm in the waterpark. had a good time.

Well first things first. I purchased the all you can eat barbecue ticket. Well didn't expect it to just be only one time entrance. Figured you could eat then go walk around and come back to eat some more and I wasn't the only one that More

The park is good. I've been going here since I was a kid in the 1980s. Consistently we'll run through all the different owners. Rides are good. The kids love them. Staff is hit or miss, especially in the food stands. The picnic pavilion food and service has gotten better over the years.

A very fun place. Just know that during the month of October they to this thing called "Haunt". Whjch is where the staff comes out at 7pm in scary costumes and scares you. But do not worry if you do not want to be scared, you can purchase a necklace that lights up. They are called "No Boo's". You wear this so that the staff members know not to scare you. This park is a little pricey but it's worth it!

Growing up in a small town of Ashland and having this massive theme park near by was amazing. I remember as a child so many young memories of this park ans well as i have memories as and adult. every year it seems like we would all wait for the new roller coaster ride to be put in the next new attraction. Back when it was Paramount Kings Dominion they had all the coolest rides for kids and adults one of my absolute favorites would have to be the Volcano in the Congo section of the theme park. for it not being just simply a roller coaster park it had plenty of them i can name a few. the Grizzly ( a old wooden coaster but massive) The Rebel yell ( a two tracked coaster with one track with people facing the normal way and the other had people sitting backwards in the carts. The Hyper-sonic XLC( a Launch coaster shooting straight up then over 90 degree back down. The Scoobie doo (a baby blue kids coaster but still fun) lastly the Anaconda (a huge coaster with many loops and going underwater) many coasters had to be a first of their time and probably trend setters for sure.

This palace was awesome. I remember coming here as a kid but it had been a while. We got the VIP passes which came with food pass, fast pass plus, fun pix, unlimited drinks, parking etc. We were able to ride 24 attractions (not 24 different ones we rode a few many times in a row because there was no line). The new hybrid coaster, Twisted Timbers I think, was so much fun. We rode 4 times in a row. The food was pretty good but expensive. I think the food pass is totally worth it if you plan to stay all day.

I went on a Tuesday so the crowds were smaller than normal. I was surprisingly pleased with the conditions of the park. Some of the rides were not open which was a let down. Those rides I did go on were fun and varied. If time permits, pack food to eat at the picnic table s in the parking lot. Pack light for the park itself. You will save on time at security and save having to put things aside at rides.

We played the odds and tempted fate against the rain. It worked out for us. It rained a bit right at 11 and scared everyone away. After that we had pretty much open reign on the park. The longest we had to wait for any ride was 5 minutes... pretty much walked on to any ride. Only one breakdown while we were there (the Intimidator) but it was back up and running and my boy literally rode it twice consecutively. The Volcano ride was still closed for repairs.

One of the better amusement parks I've been to. It's not perfect, but it's a good value for the money. Snoopy Land is good for smaller kids. If your kids are too small be prepared to ride a lot of the rides with them.

An excellent park with amazing rides. My family spent the extra money on the fast lane + and it was well worth it. The longest we waited was probably 15 mins. Others have questioned if the passes were worth it and I say yes. During the on-season they are $80/person which can be steep, but not waiting in line for 2 hours made them well worth the money. We were able to ride numerous popular rides several times over. The park was clean, the staff was energetic, enthusiastic and helpful. I haven't been here in nearly 20 years and honestly it was great to come back. The only upset is how pricey everything is. There's no reason a bottle of water needs to be $5. The upside tho, if you bring your own bottle, you can get free water refills throughout the day.

The amusement park lacked exciting rides and the food options were limited and dirty. The staff grabbed your cups by the rim while smacking each other on the buttocks, this was just a horrible establishment. I'll spend my money at Busch Gardens.

Christmas lights visit was wonderful even in the rain. Great crew here making everyone feel welcome. The entertainers were especially great in the cold and wet. Thwy had great shows evem in the rain.

Terrible park. The people running the rides are rude. They threw away my water bottle that I bought in the park and was eye gougeingly expensive for what you get. This park should be Russian theamed because it seems like Vlad the impaler is running it. Terrible value. And don't think you are going to get on the rides with the rude employees without waiting a couple of hours in line. Unless of course you buy the $75 fast lane bracelet on top of your park ticket. Will not be comings back again. So if you like to be gaouged out and treated like barnyard cattle this is the place for you.

I saw people walking around with short sleeve shirts.

Nice shade, shuttles from campground, wonderful campground. Free refill ticket is small cup, so sorry we didn't all get ticket with free refills. We got 5 AAA tickets for $38 without free refill, and for limited time can get $39 ticket online with free refills. We got 2 tickets with free refills thinking we would have plenty of drink? Won't do that again. Today beautiful day, no wait lines. FUN!

Nice event, the park was really decorated and there is a lot to enjoy. Music, shows, characters, rides, and an ice skating rink and more. I didn't know if they could pull it off, but they definitely did. Will be going back with family around Christmas. If you are looking for a family friendly holiday experience, this is it! Enjoy!

Great option when considering an amusement park. Both thrill rides and water park in one. My only complaint would be to please do a little maintenance to the rides so they don't look run-down (paint goes a long way), and bring in more entertainment. The Halloween Haunt is awesome, and I think Winterfest has great potential.

Great place to go, unfortunately the food prices are ridiculously expensive...$25 for 2 slices of pizza, 2 bread sticks and 2 milks. You can't bring your own food in but I will pack food next time.

It has gotten really bad. I had a gold season pass last year and my girlfriend and I went like 4-5 times. I took my niece to KD on her 7th birthday today. I've gotten used to Busch Gardens this year and forgot how bad KD has gotten.

The food price is way more at KD than other parks. I can split a meal with my girlfriend and me for $18 at Busch Gardens and feel very satisfied. KD cost $15 for 2 slices of pizza and a breadstick. And $11 for a 6 inch sub. We had to do both of those ($26) to feel satisfied. I'm not even counting the price of a drink because of how expensive it is. I just drink water at KD.

The rules for cell phones is terrible. I have a cell phone plastic carrying case that goes around my neck and under my shirt. It has a zipper and buttons. It was designed for roller coasters. It doesn't even move an inch when I go on loops or anything. It stays right on my chest, under my shirt. The woman working at the front of Twisted Timbers (Her name was Ivy) said that I couldn't bring a cell phone, period. Even with my neck carrying case that is literally built for roller coasters. I pointed to the fact that the sign says that phones are "allowed if they are in a secured pocket". She said that that is an old sign. She said I could rent a locker for $5 to put it in! Just to ride a single ride. I had her call her manager down. As I waited, I saw a ton of people slipping phones into their pockets before getting on and she didn't see them, so she didn't call them out. The manger arrived. The manager said it's a strict rule and that no phone is allowed. I couldn't believe these people had zero common sense. Obviously, my phone was secure because it's in a carrying case that was designed for roller coasters. It's like they enforce these rules without thinking. I told them I'd give it to my brother. I went around the building, out of their sight. Waited a minute. Hid my carrying case in my shorts. Went back through the line and Ivy said, "Sorry about that". I just kept walking. I then waited until out of her line of sight and put my carrying case around my neck and under my shirt. I rode the ride and nothing happened to my phone. It was secure as I said it would be. They are a bunch of idiots. Thankfully, that means they're easy to out think lol.

With my niece, we were in the Snoopy kid area a lot. There were people smoking in that area, even though it is supposed to be non-smoking. The workers saw it and didn't say anything.

Line cutting is a huge problem here now, too. I had to call multiple people out on it. The workers don't care.

What is the point of all these rules if they don't enforce them? This place is terrible now. You get a lot of inner-city and DC people whom are rude and trashy. And the workers are just as bad.

It's good to be reminded why I chose that other amusement park this year lol

Awesome park BUT the employees are AWFUL! EVERY single one of the employees in the KIDS section were so slow at moving, and not one of them smiled at anything. You work in the kids section, at least put a smile on your face! Please train the employees to be courteous and show some pride that they have a job there.

Kings Dominion has gone downhill as far as cleanliness for the past 15-20 years and now I can't walk through the park without smelling throw up everywhere (literally EVERYWHERE) and the profound smell of sweat (especially on the rides with shoulder harnesses). This is very unfortunate because Kings Dominion didn't always be like this. The cost is not unreasonable and the newest attractions like Holloween and Christmas Town are very enjoyable. The cost for the Fast Past is very expensive and for that reason not too many people purchase it so the standard lines tend to be on the long side. I would recommend Kings Dominion to anyone for a 1 day, once in their life try just to verify what I believe to be true about Kings Dominion. Hopefully they improve so that more can enjoy.

We love visiting KD! The rides are fun, there are a lot of refreshment centers to fill up drinks, and soak city is awesome...The social events are great, too. I would have given it a higher rating, but I think the prices got everything are too high...food, drinks, games, pictures, etc...I got season passes for free parking and unlimited rides, etc, but ended up paying more for unlimited drinks as well because we had to stay hydrated and they don't want you bringing your own stuff. I didn't get the food plan, but since they charge such high prices for all the food, I should have probably gotten that too. Overall, I think it should be cheaper or included in the passes...out does give you a10% for season pass holders, but even then it's high. I have figured out that the food is enough to split with my kids, though, so we share and that helps. I also time it right so we won't be as hungry there...and usually try to stop by Sweet Frog inside the park for air conditioning and a treat.

It's not the same. I think they should sale it to universal studios or some movie studio . Right now it's like going to a carnival with good rides. All the classics were gone or closed down. Overall the experience was... meh
