a pleasant place to say that the restaurant is completely disorganized, that the staff is not smiling, that the kids club is not at the height of a 5 *, that the animation is limited, that when we ask for a fresh orange juice and that we are the bill 30dh extra when we are all inclusive .... the umbrellas are held by branches ... short a potential not exploited .... I would not go back ..

Good quality resort-style hotel complex on the outskirts of town. Spent two nights due to cancelled flight. The rooms are massive and cool, and there is a nice pool (emptied the day after we arrived however). As with most all-inclusive resorts, the food is average, with a reasonable mix of international and local food. Great staff, but too far out of town for an authentic marrakech break.

Very disapointed. All inclusive formula ignoring the natural fruit juice so prevalent in Morocco. Drinks served hot more than 15 minutes to have ice cubes. I had to be moved 3 times, room curtain room tears, air conditioning deficient. Staff overwhelmed but kind and dedicated despite everything

Fantastic hotel. The best quality all inclusive food I've had yet. Streets ahead of others. Friendly respectful staff. English is not their second language (French is generally) so be patient and don't expect instant banter but ask and you'll find that nothing is too much trouble. Great free shuttle to the square and great value hotel. Is it the Ritz 5 star? No. But you'd be hard pushed to do better at 750 each for a fortnight with flights etc. Is it quirky? Yes, but definitely merits 5 stars based on my stay and exceeded my expectations

I can highly recommend the Menara Palace, especially if you re looking for a relaxing break which doesn t come with the noise and bustle of the city centre. Pulling up at the entrance, even relatively late in the evening, everything was naturally taken care of and the friendly reception desk completed proceedings quickly.

I had the delight of being allocated a top third floor room with a pool view. The interior of all the corridors is a minimalistic style but very pretty, broken up with open air plantation sections.

The room was very impressive and I certainly recommend paying the slight extra for a pool view. It was so spacious, complete with sofa and arm chain, desk, massive bed and lots of storage space along with wardrobe, in a separate section of the room. Lots of lighting options which could be controlled from the bed, along with electric sockets at both sides of the bed added to the comfort levels. There were tea and coffee facilities as well as a mini bar. The huge french doors and window opened up to a spacious balcony with table and chairs. Outdoor lights made this space useable late at night too. The thick curtains were very effective at blocking out the light in the mornings.

The bathroom was equally as spacious as the main room, with two sinks, a separate large bath and shower cubicle as well as a toilet and bidet in another room. Towels and gowns were present although I couldn t find any slippers. The toiletries came in small bottles but were kept restocked well and the shower had decent power as well as getting hot quickly. What was a shame was that there was no guide to the hotel facilities within the room. An overview of the dining options, how the pool worked, entertainment in the evening etc was all missing which resulting in making the most of my stay harder. The TV was also rather difficult to use and temperamental, requiring a channel change to restore a frozen picture regularly. Most frustrating though was the wifi which didn t work very well at all. The rest of the hotel wasn t as bad, so I assume the room was maybe on the edges of the signal.

There s a lot of range in the breakfast buffet - traditional meats and fruits, hot dishes, pastries and a range of fruit juices were all present. There s also a counter with freshly made sweet items should you need a morning sugar fix. No dishes made to order were available which I could see and hot drinks are also self service. There s plenty of seating both inside and outside which is nice and the staff were good at clearing plates etc. Service ends promptly at 10:30.

The main selling point for this hotel is it s outdoor pool. There s actually two pools with a smaller one which is heated in the cooler months. There s loads of sun loungers around the pool, a decent number of cabanas for at least two people as well as beanbags on the grass and a number of tables surrounding. Towels are provided from a hut alongside the DJ which plays non obtrusive music in the afternoon. The huge pool has steps down at the top and a shallow section at the opposite end, next to the restaurant / bar. Its a shame they don t offer service to the sun beds and, to be honest, the service from the bar itself is a little slow, but overall everyone was friendly and the food available is good for lunch with reasonable prices. It was all served quickly and presented well.

There s three main restaurants in the hotel and I had the pleasure of trying two for dinner during my visit. The first, specialising in Italian food, was pretty quite on the Tuesday evening but the staff were friendly and the food served in good time. The Moroccan restaurant the following night was much better! An authentic setting with low sofas and live traditional ude music gave a fantastic experience. There was a good range on the menu and my starter, although not as I expected, was delicious and filling in itself. The traditional tagine main was one of a few options but didn t disappoint. A really enjoyable evening and a meal.

This could be a great hotel....but the first impre...

This could be a great hotel....but the first impressions are badly let down by the reality. This is the first time we genuinely feel we have been mis-sold a hotel experience. This is NOT a 4-5 Star hotel.

Most of our observations are simple to fix ..and have been highlighted by previous guests. There are basic failures here which the management are either unaware of (insufficient oversight?) or are choosing to ignore.

Check-in is advertised from 2pm. We arrived ahead of this so no problem with the initial wait as our room wasn t ready ..but we kept being sent away for another 15 minutes and eventually weren t checked in until after 3.15pm, over 75 minutes late. Not a great start to the holiday.

This was our first wedding anniversary, and my wife had (unknown to me at the time) arranged for the honeymoon treatment in our room. i.e. Flower petals on the bed, etc. This wasn t done ..but 20 minutes after we d arrived in our room a maid knocked and then started sprinkling petals on the bed right in front of us. Not a major issue but somewhat spoils the surprise!

The room was fine in many respects ..but clearly starting to show its age and a number of issues clearly being ignored by the staff ..shower hose leaking everywhere (easy fix .I tightened it!), toilet flush panel falling off the wall, etc.

The swimming pool environment was great ..can t fault it. BUT if you re not there early, they run out of towels! 3 out of 4 days we had to wait for towels as they were being recycled (washed and dried). This is sold as a 4-5 star hotel and they are running out of towels on a daily basis. The management are aware of this from previous feedback. All the staff are aware this is a daily problem. Simple fix buy another 100 towels!

Broken chairs and sunbeds....but the staff don't care!

The food in the main restaurant could be great and undoubtedly it is a good standard when it leaves the kitchen. But half of it is stone cold or luke warm!
o Food in the food warmers is simply not being kept warm, we think this is because the water trays underneath aren t being kept topped up! Previous guests have complained about the same thing, and this should be a simple fix, but is clearly ignored.
o On one evening I selected the carvery . The meat was fine (on a hot tray and under a heat lamp) .but the vegetables were completely cold, on plates with no attempt to keep them warm.
o When I commented and asked if there was any hot vegetables I was pointed to a microwave .the first 4-5 star hotel where I ve had to reheat my own food!

If you arrive at breakfast after 0930 you are greeted by all the empty tables being dirty, and no attempt to clean and relay them. And then if you ask for a table for 2 the staff look at you like you re an idiot ..there are plenty of tables empty! So you sit at an empty table and wait for them to clean up around you and then you have to chase for cutlery. And then you have to chase for more cutlery because they ve only laid half of it!!

We tried the Italian restaurant. Probably the best food of our 3 nights eating in the hotel. But still there is no attention to detail they will serve you with bread and butter but no plates. No problem, I ll just use my mobile phone as a side-plate and spill everything over the table!

There were positives .the pool environment is great, and amongst the largely disinterested staff there is the occasional star who wants to give warm and genuine customer service (e.g. Khadija in the Italian restaurant). But as experienced and regular travellers (for both work and pleasure) this is the first time we have genuinely felt we have been mis-sold in terms of the star rating of a hotel. And as mentioned above, most of these are simple fixes, which suggests that the management are ignoring the feedback, not out observing the operation, or simply don t care.

Clean, well positioned hotel of 5 star standard.
Excellent staff with a good command of English.
Good security too makes you feel safer.
Overall, I was apprehensive about travelling to Marrakech but all fears were unfounded and is definitely on the list for a return.

Overall, we were very satisfied. It is advisable to book all-inclusive in any case, the drink prices at the pool are quite expensive without it.
Great pool area and great rooms!

The only point of criticism was the WiFi in our room (224).

Very nice hotel BUT aging on the rooms. Since 2014, the breakfasts are absolutely no more quality except the oriental crepes freshly prepared in front of you, the pastries are dry, as well as the bread..voire not fresh, the other meals are qualities and uneven flavors of a meal to another, only desserts are worthy of a grand hotel. The hotel is smoking apart from the indoor restaurant, which is often annoying. A "semblance" of entertainment has been put in place, creating a lot of noise with the music and removing the quietness that is sought after when choosing this hotel. I did not go back for my part ... too bad.

In terms of facilities, they have a gym and spa with family suited live music and dining. The palace is stunning, the breakfast offered a good variety however the quality was questionable.

I may go back, but seriously take a look at livening up the breakfast menu and pay close attention to food temperatures when serving buffets for safety reasons.

The sentido kenzi menara palace is a very nice hotel, the staff is very professional, friendly and responsive to any concerns or requests. The buffet is small but adequate, the dishes are good and the desserts excellent. The common and private areas are very clean.
In my opinion, the hotel should be less "pleasant" in season because of its size.

I seriously wouldn t recommend this hotel to anybody expecting a 5*. To start with the food in the hotel was absolutely appalling to say we were in Morocco and there s so many incredible restaurants around. Me and my partner were there for a festival and thank god because I would ve been very disappointed if I was there purely for a holiday. The pool and spa facilities were great but that s as far as I d go to be honest. At the pool bar the cups were always dirty and at lunch there was always a chipped plate or dirty cutlery, not what I expect from a 5* resort. We both found that 90% of the staff were very rude and unhelpful, however the cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient. I seriously would say this is a 3* resort at best and we will certainly not be returning.

Out of town, which is lightly annoying, but a taxi to and from town costs about 80 dirhams. Rooms are large, and spacey, with massive bathrooms. Also balconies or doors onto the grass

TO FLEE!!!!

TO FLEE!!!!
After having reserved for weeks a room on the garden on the ground floor, I am told of an upgrade: following the first and the horror begins!
We decide to go to the pool, people spitting, screaming children, loud music !! In fact, people outside can access the hotel pool for 15th: so it's not too much of a palace feel. The evening we come back is there, we understood the rest was stuck to the nightclub: the nightmare, the duck dance, turning the towels .... in short I called the reception, he told me we were not aware.
SLEEPLESS NIGHT
We get up at 5:30 am for our flight. I go down to reception to return the room cards (which we had of course paid the day before).
I explain my dissatisfaction to ABDOU the receptionist, who was sleeping on the hotel sofa a little further away. I explain to him that it is inadmissible and that I want to see a manager, there were still extras to pay. My husband decided that after an email to the manager (I remind you that they have the bank imprint !!!) since no one is listening to us we will pay the balance. And there, we are threatened, that we will not leave the hotel and that we will miss our plane !!! Obviously we have settled but this hotel is not a palace, the employees are threatening and frankly I have never experienced that.
I strongly AGREE against, this is not a palace but rather a bad holiday club for locals! I know that I will not be reimbursed for anything, but really it is SHAME

Nice well appointed hotel, spacious suite and nice staff. By cons the appellation Palace is not appropriate for this hotel, the lack of perfection and details that are not worthy of a Palace, such as trace of coffee on the walls in our suite, trace of fingers on the ceiling, Task on the chairs and waiting 45 minutes to get our room because it was not ready ... This kind of detail is unimaginable in a real Palace. Food at a price too high given the quality of products, a simple ice ball, placed in a glass without anything else is 70 dirhams! To finish a pity that the last shuttle ends at 19h.

My family owns a hotel in Columbus, GA USA, so we are pretty decently experienced in the hospitality business. We just completed a 4 day stay at this hotel.
Hotel itself is a 4 star, but Mr. Cherrif (not sure of spelling), an employee of the hotel, turned this into a 5 start hotel. This man went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. I actually caught a small stomach virus during the start of this stay, and Mr. Cherrif asked me daily how I was doing. He remembers everyone individually, something that is rarely, if ever, seen during hotel stays. He made sure every need was taken care of. He helped plan a great hotel stay including daily activities throughout the city, the rides to these locations (we were a group of 14), and every little detail in the hotel. I cannot say enough nice things about him. He truly went above and beyond, and based on what I read in the reviews, this is his nature. I thank him for making the stay at Kenzi menara a great one.
Rest of the hotel staff is extremely friendly and all really do a great job with customer service, which I would say is the strongest point of this hotel.
Rooms and rest of the hotel are as the images show.

Our stay was a while ago(2013), but this hotel is still #1 in my memory for the food. The Chef Cook was superb.
I don't eat from small plates , which he found questionable, but on the second day of our stay he was very pleased with me.
We got the best table in the restaurant, near the kitchen for the rest of our stay.

You can visit the buffet for your food, but this is no normal buffet...
You can have as much Beluga caviar your belly can hold, all kinds of sea-food, chocolate deserts with gold leaf.

Big eater? Sea-food lover?
