Went there on memorial day and had a pretty decent time. Only issue was most of the rides were closed (black widow, sky rocket, sky coaster, shooting gallery, paddle boats). If you are going to have everything closed, then why charge me full price? kinda ridiculous.

A true nostalgic amusement park. Kennywood is always a fun time, from squirting people in the face with the shooting game that activates water guns next to the Racers to the Potato Patch fries, this place is great. Also, they added a 21+ section where you can order a max of 2 alcoholic beverages.

So sad to see Kennywood going downhill... Weeds and over grown grass every where...the Kenny family would be so ashamed. Mediocre over priced food...nothing tastes like it Did 10 years ago let alone when I was smaller...don't see any of the kids tossing fresh pizza dough, heavy over greasy corn dogs and under cooked French fries. We have season passes and other than the new bbq place by the lake or Johnny Rockets we usually eat before or call for pizza at papa John's before we leave and by the time we get to our car it's finished. And the staff... Oh my how horrible their customer service skills are. No smiles on any game operator or food stand. We played over 50 bucks in games and also had 1 funnel cake, 2 orders of potato patch fries, one slice of pizza and 2 corn dogs and spent 9 hrs in the park. How hard is it to smile...the racers crew and steel phantom were the most fun staff and I still would only rate them a 50% out of 100%.... Not the same Kennywood at all. Miserable staff is such a turn off.

Happy 120th birthday! Our second year for season passes. Seeing the classic cars was awesome! Love all of the rides. Food is always tasty. Even the arcade was fun to get out of the sun for a bit. Can't wait for the new Thomas area to open later this month!

Kennywood is great with fun rides and a wonderful Thomas the Train kiddy area. Fun for the whole family. It could use another "water" ride or two and the lines tend to be excruciatingly long for the popular rides.

I have always enjoyed coming to Kennywood. I come every Summer, but I guess this is the first time I came on a Saturday. The lines for everything were so terribly long. I'm not just referring to roller coasters. I stood in line for the aero 360 for almost an hour! It broke down 2 times. The black widow wasn't running at all and the Steel Curtain broke down within the first hour. I was very dissatisfied with this experience.

The lines are long on weekdays, but that's on par for the course and you'll wait about an hour, more or less, for most roller coasters. The experience is more than worth it though, especially if you went here in your childhood like I have. A bit of nostalgia mixed with new ride experiences.
The food is wonderful too. Got a double decker dipped ice cream vone and it was even better than I remember. I definitely reccomend coming here in the summer. Don't forget to bring sunscreen like I did though.

Oversold, overcrowded, no one directing the flow of things starting with the parking lot where it's a free for all with cars and pedestrians. Fright night is just a pitch black park with some kids in costumes paid to scream at and chase you. Half the concessions were closed and the ones open had insanely long lines. Got to go on 2 rides in 5 hrs. Will not be returning.

The history of this place is second to none. Packs in a lot for such a small park. Food and drink are reasonably priced and you can bring in your own coolers too.
Park is clean. Never saw a piece of trash on the ground. However the park needs some serious weeding and TLC. Not sure they've ever heard of Roundup, power washing or a scrape and paint.
My biggest complaint is the complete inefficiency of the roller coaster operators in filling the coasters. We rode the Phantom a few times and saw at least 30 runs. On average 6 to 7 seats were empty each time. Ridiculous. It takes a few seconds to grab the next folks in line to fill center sections (they said were reserved for VIP riders that weren't there) as well as instituting a Find a Partner policy like they have on the Thunderbolt. Speeding up waits to rides should be a top priority and the slow motion of inefficient teenage workers is very evident. I worked at an amusement park as a teen and recall the attention to detail in this. It made a huge difference in through put. I hope management addresses this sooner than later.

I don t even know where to begin. Kennywood is horrible. There was a constant smell of sewage all throughout the park. The ride operators are apathetic and inefficient; there were many rides I went on where 4-6 seats were left open for no reason other than the staff were too lazy to do a head count. The food is not the same; it s under cooked and the pavilions and restaurants are not clean. The bathrooms were disgusting with pee everywhere and clogged toilets. Literally the worst experience I ve ever had at an amusement park. This is not the kennywood of your childhood. So sad.

New healthy food stand in Kiddy land with delicious food options other than fried junk. Kids loved the veggie tots. Also, amazing nursing nook with rocking chairs, fans, changing station just behind the health food stand in Kiddy land. Not thrilled about the height requirement changes on most of the rides (last year my daughter could ride Jack Rabbit, Raging Rapids, but this year can't though she's 3 inches taller). Also not thrilled that most rides gave my disabled cousin wait times instead of just letting her on right away.

Caution, this review is very old man "back in my day"
This place isn't what it used to be. I remember there being a really nice big open plaza area, with the stage and an eating area but now that's all broken up into smaller chunks and it really messed up the flow of the park. The train ride used to have a lot of really interesting historical facts and photos but now it's Thomas the tank engine ride and it's literally just billboards of Thomas the whole way through. Who is this for? Nobody, including the kids on the train, were super pumped to look at some photos of cartoon trains. My daughter was more interested in the parks history and lost Kennywood but now that history is gone and I wasn't able to share it with her.
Speaking of that food area it was almost impossible to find food. Probably 60% of the concessions were closed, most of the food was in pop-up carnival style food trailers. But the ones that were open weren't great; I saw more than one shut their blinds right in people's faces. At least announce if you're going to close soon.
They also starting shutting rides down at 7pm. The trip wasn't bad, but it isn't what it used to be. The lines were awful, in 12 hours we hit.. 7 or 8 rides? We had one break down when we were literally next in line after a 30-40 minute wait. That's something that can't be helped but it soured an already bad experience.

I waited in line for steel curtain for 3 hours. The coaster only has one car with 24 seats which makes it take even longer then the average coaster with multiple cars. Not only that but 2 1/2 hours into the line the coaster shut down because of technical difficulties... showing the poor mechanics of the coaster. It has been closed for 30 minutes now and my friends and I have decided to leave because waiting 3 hours for any coaster is not worth it. Way to waste my time kennywood.

Visited for the Christmas light display. It was a beautiful experience with my kids (9 & 11 yrs old). They were in wonderment. The amount of rides open was pleasantly surprising for a December day. Food and hot beverages were available from various food stations which helped, too.
The employees did an amazing job designing and decorating the entire Park. It was worth the drive from Erie to see this display.

Good place but dont get the VIP coasters pass. Yes you can skip the lines but you cant sit in the first or the last cars. I dont know why its such a rule for even at six flags they dont have this rule.

Went to fright night and had an alright time. I wasn't that impressed by the haunts they weren't scary. The food and drink was way overpriced and they don't allow readmittance if you want to go off site to eat. Definitely do not go to the 4D movie of IT the smells are horrible and hardly any of the movie shows in 3D.

The lines were too long they were too many people in the amusement park, it was hard to enjoy yourself when you were waiting in lines mostly, Kennywood should consider not letting so many people come into the park so that people can have a better time. Definitely overcrowded!

We visited 7-9-19. It was our first time here. Nancy at the ticket booth was extremely helpful and very kindhearted. Also, the young man working the services/height check before you go into the park, I.Banks, he was courteous, helpful and we much appreciated his assistance. The rides are awesome! The park is just right but the STAFF, All of them, are truly top of line hospitable. Sociable, SINCERELY polite, helpful with questions. We had a very welcoming experience! We appreciate your kindness

Until recently, I had not been to Kennywood in abo...
Until recently, I had not been to Kennywood in about six years. I was very excited to take my daughter there. She just turned 4 and this was her first time going to Kennywood. I was really let down. Almost every single worker was miserable and either didn't talk at all or were clearly unhappy and not pleasant. This was especially true for the workers in Kiddie Land, which is where we obviously spent most of our time because of my daughters age. One worker yelled at a set of little kids because they were getting off of the wrong side of the ride (even though it is possible they didn't know their right from their left yet). It was terrible. You woke in Kiddie Land. Put a smile on and be nice to the kids!! We then went to go eat some potato patch fries. The workers there were again not all that friendly, but they weren't completely rude so okay. However, other employees of the park were clearly not doing their job because as I went to sit down at our table to eat our fries, I stepped in a pile of vomit. Ew!!!!! I lost my appetite and that was the final straw. The poor attitudes of the employees in combination with the lack of upkeep of the park itself ruined what was supposed to be a happy family day out and my daughters first time at a park I used to love. I called Kennywood Customer Service and told them about our experience. They apologized and offered to send me three tickets to come back another day for free. I really appreciated that. BUT, that was over three weeks ago and the tickets never came. I called multiple times and couldn't/can't get ahold of anyone. I left a message on one of the machines over a week ago and no one ever called me back. I was supposed to be able to use the tickets to go back before the end of the season, but now the season is pretty much over. I am highly dissatisfied and do not feel as if Kennywood treats people like valued customers. It's ridiculous and if management does not improve and make changes where necessary then the park may go out of business in the future. To pay all that money to go there plus the money you spend on food and stuff just to be disappointed and then lied to is not worth it at all.

I am dissapointed. The quality is going down hill. Many rides are closed, many places to eat are closed. You spend alot of money to get in, and you spend alot in the park. A bottle of soda from a machine cost $4. The employees seem uninterested in their job. But it is still fun. Get the iceburg from the soft serve pagoda.

I don't want to pay to get into a haunted amusement park just to wait an hour in line to get into a haunted house. From what I remember there use to be performers walking around everywhere and themed sections all over the place. Now you have to wait in line for that and seek out the actual themed sections if you can even call them that anymore. I'm glad the wife and I both got our kicks from the ridiculousness but sadly it's probably our last fright night.
The only saving grace was being able to ride the jack rabbit in the dark and eat some potato patch fries.

At the front of the park, a notice was posted that six rides were closed. Those weren't the only six!
Generally seemed understaffed, the staff was apathetic and appeared unhappy.
Most of the food areas were filthy because there was no one cleaning up spilled food as people were getting their food. Pedro's was especially bad about looking nasty, but the food was good and plentiful.
Generally seems like Kennywood is going downhill fast under it's current management.
