Hard to imagine a visit to Florida without stopping by Kennedy space Center
Just amazing!!!! If you have the chance, go to Kennedy Space Center for 2 days. There is so much to do and learn. A great celebration of everything space. From the beginning of the space program till today and beyond it is a great place that makes me proud to be American. Wonderful history of space program. I highly recommend the bus tour that is included with your admission, it is great, it takes you by the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) as well as launch pads and to the Saturn V rocket building. We will be back again. By the way, the price you pay for admission is used to support Kennedy Space Center, no tax dollars are used to fund it.
Excellent!!!!!!! A visit worth doing when you come to Orlando, has no waste, the only criticism is that they have no explanations in Spanish
I have a hard time giving this a rating. My expectations were so high coming in a and it just kind of fell flat for me. Maybe it's covid and the numerous things in the park that are shut down. There were definitely some really cool things in there, but not all my mind had hoped it would be. The one perk to covid is that the crowd was pretty much non-existent, which is what bumped it up to 4 stars
What a great set up really enjoyed meet the astronaut seeing the apollo take off simulation and apollo rocket + shuttle Atlantis.
Fantastic! Loved everything about this place. The Atlantis experience was my favorite! Especially when the movie was over and THE Atlantis appeared through the screen!
Best ever day out if you like space and talk of future trips to Mars
Great place to spend the day. For an even better experience, purchase a KSC tour. You will get to see the launch pads, vehicle assembly building and more!
Wonderful experience! But you really need more than one day to see and do all the things there.
Amazing experience. Very well run and organized. Clean. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in space or rockets.
A great place, for a whole day outing. Crowded, but worth the waiting in lines. The one less star is for having an actress pose as an astronaut.
The bus route with the NASA building and the launch platforms, 3D movie is essential. I think it can be improved.
So much to see and do, but I only had half a day there with family. I'm going to get back there eventually to see more of it
What an amazing place ! So interesting and huge! Spent from 9 until 4 and could ve stayed longer and didn t see it all. The tour to the Saturn V complex is highly recommended as is the Atlantis exhibition. The reveal to seeing Atlantis is truest breathtaking and don t want to spoil it here but I loved it. Even the kids play area fantastic and themed like rockets !
The Kennedy Space Center is a great place to visit in Titusville near Orlando. The bus tour lets you see the place and the launching pad for the rockets. This is a great place to understand and appreciate the American space conquest and the advancement in research and business partneships in the space industry. Was with my wife and the kids, we all loved it.
I greatly enjoyed my visit. Emotional and interesting for me. Glad I took the time to go.
You have to pay almost $60 just to get to the gift shop!
The John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC, originally known as the NASA Launch Operations Center), located on Merritt Island, Florida, is one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's ten field centers. Since December 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of human spaceflight. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC.[3] Located on the east coast of Florida, KSC is adjacent to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS). The management of the two entities work very closely together, share resources, and operate facilities on each other's property.
Though the first Apollo flights and all Project Mercury and Project Gemini flights took off from CCAFS, the launches were managed by KSC and its previous organization, the Launch Operations Directorate.[4][5] Starting with the fourth Gemini mission, the NASA launch control center in Florida (Mercury Control Center, later the Launch Control Center) began handing off control of the vehicle to the Mission Control Center in Houston, shortly after liftoff; in prior missions it held control throughout the entire mission.[6][7]
Additionally, the center manages launch of robotic and commercial crew missions and researches food production and In-Situ Resource Utilization for off-Earth exploration.[8] Since 2010, the center has worked to become a multi-user spaceport through industry partnerships,[9] even adding a new launch pad (LC-39C) in 2015.
There are about 700 facilities and buildings grouped across the center's 144,000 acres (580 km2).[10] Among the unique facilities at KSC are the 525-foot (160 m) tall Vehicle Assembly Building for stacking NASA's largest rockets, the Launch Control Center, which conducts space launches at KSC, the Operations and Checkout Building, which houses the astronauts dormitories and suit-up area, a Space Station factory, and a 3-mile (4.8 km) long Shuttle Landing Facility. There is also a Visitor Complex open to the public on site.
I loved the experience. The fact that this place has sensory warning signs and quiet rooms made me feel incredibly comfortable. I've never seen things like this other places, and I'm definitely planning on coming back.
It was ok with some 5 3d shows. Have many many cool rides good for families. Cost a lot didn't worth it. Have a real rocket and go around in a bus. It is very huge maze it is VERY BIG. Can meet real astronaut and can ask questions. .... ........ ........ the 3d shoes in depth in clear of astronomy and stuff. There is an IMAX 3d show about space. There is museum and art gallery. Have a lot of malls to buy space toys
Thank you for reading my review
Hope you have a great day.
Loved it. Beautiful weather. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Would go back again
If you are interested in space and its conquests, KSC is the perfect place to learn the history of the Apollo program (missions to the moon, Saturn V rocket), shuttle missions (the original Atlantis ferry), at an additional cost to pass the starting platforms (sit on the bus on the right - most attractions, such as crawler, are on this side). 1 full day from 9.00 to 18.00 is the minimum, there is no chance to see everything. It is worth checking in advance whether a rocket launch with a satellite is planned, this is an additional attraction.
Due to covid alot is shut down but still what a cool place.
Absolutely amazing. My boys (ages 9 and 6) and I were just in awe of the whole facility. Seeing the Atlantis shuttle was a highlight for sure! Several attractions were closed due to the 'Rona, but it is what it is. They're doing a great job keeping social distance and cleaning.
Awesome experience, but since I am enamored with space travel, I may be a tiny bit biased. Better to get there as early as possible, then go straight for the bus tours. Otherwise, be ready to wait in line, Disney style. Being able to see the Space Shuttle Atlantis and an actual Saturn V rocket is absolutely amazing. We have been 3 times so far, and will be going again in the future!!
We had a great time at the space center. They did a great job of keeping everyone safe but still allowing for enjoyment of center. Our favorite area was the Atlantis area. The kids loved the shuttle simulator.
An absolute must see if you are in Florida. Shows and exhibits are well done. Historic, educational and fun! Awe inspiring actually.
Very impressive. Take the bustour first and see the atlantis after.
Disappointed..launch scrubbed
.lack of knowledge by staff
Getting to know was fantastic, really great engineering
My family and I went today for the first time and paid for the guided group tour (shout out to Nick who was informative and fantastic) and we loved it!! Some things are closed, but it is well worth it to go right now and enjoy what is open and they give you a ticket to return in 2021 which is very nice.
Loved Atlantis and Apollo pavillions. Expected a little more from the others. For our 5 year old it was fun enough but probably kids of +8 would enjoy it better
The covid-19 protocols are disappointing to say the least. No mandatory spacing while waiting in line for exhibits, crowded spaces, long waits. On top of that, shorter operating hours, which leads to more crowding. And finally, the app works only half of the time. We would expect better of NASA.
Somewhat good .. limited fun and activities are few in it and inside the park the offers have a few times so if you enter a certain show you miss the other offer and you may not succeed in watching your match .. our visit we only saw two or three shows because of the inconsistency of the times .. i would not recommend visiting it
could be better than what I Saw, not as exbicted .. don't recommend
Good experience, little dissapointed becase they heve the bus and the attractions with it. They dont say that at their web page.
I would not recommend as it is overpriced, exhibits that revolve around 3D IMAX movies, rude workers, oh and did I mention the cost. The Atlantis exhibit is probably the best part. They say you should budget a day for Kennedy but to be honest a morning at most. Or you could just spend an extra day at disney and have a better time.
One of the best museums/centers I've ever been to. It's a mind blowing experience!
Great place to visit. Saturn rocket and shuttle Atlantis are not to be missed. Food offerings are limited and basically terrible.
The history of the space program is interesting to see. Was a great time until the 14 buses of school kids arrived.
Very impressive. Great place to take older children. Just eat indoors or you will be attacked by seagulls.
Excellent very cute and very instructive. The tour of the NASA Building and its surroundings is fascinating
Worth the visit, visitor courtesy is practiced, tremendous national history and treasure.
Its a Blast definitely going back for more fun and hopefully to watch a blast off
Highly recommend the virtual tour we had one with Nick and he is extremely knowledgeable
A place that deserves a full day. It's expensive but it's worth it
Great collection of exhibits showcasing the astronauts and the rocket technology. The interactive exhibits are closed due to the pandemic so I'm looking forward to a return trip when things open back up.
We visited this attraction and though we were late for our scheduled tour appointment the representative was understanding and courteous. She set us up for the next time available.
The site is chock full of tours, exhibits and photo opportunities that will make any visitor feel that the space program and the astronauts are a more than worthwhile endeavor.
The various gift shops and life size space capsules are truly a highlight, not to be missed.
The Kennedy space center is historic, inspiring, and highly informative. A visit to the complex will make sure everyone is entertained and having a ball with exhibits, interactive sights, and activities for all ages.
Attention...from now to June 19th there is more than 50% off the ticket entrance. Addionally you will recibe a complementary ticket for 2021!!!
Garbage place almost everything close c19 stupid (((
It was so cool especially the shuttle. Spend open to close there
At first I was a little bit underwhelmed. Seeing the rockets and equipment used in space was interesting, but I thought that was all there was to the visit. It really started getting good for me when we went on the bus tour to the launch pads and then on to the Saturn V display. That alone made the trip worth it. In a word, INCREDIBLE! We finished the tour off with the Atlantis exhibit, which was phenomenal, to say the least. Would love to go back again someday. Maybe they will add some SpaceX things as well.
