Found good rates there twice, the insurance company's rates were basically the same as what was on Kanetix.

My dad got a renewal notice that was MUCH higher than his prior year's insurance. He's 77. No accidents. We used the Kanetix website to get him a competitive quote on his old Honda. We got a much better quote. The insurance company also put a gadget in the car to see how much he drives and how he drives. He drives like a little old man. The gadget saves him another 15% per year, because he drives like a little old man. He saved over $400/yr by getting a competitive quote and because of his conservative driving habits. We didn't have to call 10 different insurance companies, we just sat down and filled out the web form and then talked to the agent that gave us the best quote. It was easy and he saved a lot of money.

When I had an issue with policy I get, I reached out to kanetix but they said they are third party they can t do anything ( which is understandable). The only issue is - 1st agent I talked to was nice but second was lacking humbleness. You should solve whatever query clients have with patience and better way.

Thru Kanetix I got a better deal for my auto and home insurance recently. I saved over $100 per month for the same coverage as I had before. Kanetix is absolutely trustworthy and provides fast service in hooking you up with the right insurance company. Go for it!

Absolutely horrendous customer service! For 2 months before our renewal we tried to make adjustments to our policy and were ultimately unsuccessful. My wife sent numerous emails to several different brokers and customer service agents only to be consistently ignored. She spent several hours on her lunch breaks on hold to try to resolve the issues. It is pretty sad that we were able to log on to sonnet insurance and have everything dealt with in 15 mins compared to 2 months dealing with 4 or 5 individuals.. complete incompetence.. avoid at all costs!

Looking for motorcycle insurance. Filled out the form. The website said they had no results that could help me. Why do you even come up for motorcycle insurance if you cant help with it? wasted my time basically. If you need bike insurance , don't bother. apparently.

I would like to share my experience that I had with Kanetix. I saved $500 on my car insurance. How I did was so simple, just got a quotation from Kanetix, made a phonecall to insurance company, my deal was done. Now I spend much less than I used to be paying. It's awesome, isn't it?

I was put on hold to speak to a broker, waited on hold for 10 minutes then the call ended. We will see if I get a call back tomorrow. Quick on asking feedback, sorry for the review but it is what it is. Hopefully I can give a better review tomorrow

A+. Definitely changed my perception of shopping for insurance online. I've always been told online aggregators are not worth the time as the "rates are inflated and that you have to call the insurance company directly to get an accurate quote"- this couldn't be farther from the truth. I called the top 5 insurance companies listed on my Kanetix quote and the rates were almost exactly the same. I ended up saving $400/year!

I called spoke to a person at KTX gave him all my information, he gave me a quote I was ok with and I was waiting for Confirmation email which never came. I called back Several days later and was on hold for 35 min waiting for someone to talk to me.

Every year I shop around online websites for various brokerages/companies for car insurance. Kanetix has always given me the best price, hands down, for 5 years now. Need I say more??

careful with travel quotes with kanetix, i have medical conditions and i am always completing the questions carefully if heard of the horror stories.
when i was transferred to the company and did the verbal assessment i was told by the rep of tour-med that i forgot to mention a medical question and it would push up the cost,i told her i had the form in front me and i had included it, she kept arguing i was wrong.
i dont know were the problem was,was it kanetix or tour-med dont want to deal with a company i cant trust.
decided to go with my bank ended being cheaper

The lowest rates would lead u to bankruptcy here.TD is on their roster, yet it was $1100 less going through TD directly and the deductibles were $250 instead of $1000. TD didn't ask if i had winter tires and didn't bother to ask for my driving training certificate either. They just gave me a way lower rate.

SCAM SCAM SCAM any other review that says otherwise is a scam or they should perhaps check some of these criminals they forward your call to. I was completely honest 100% on the online application and like everyone else was pleased at the template quotation. A template because it means less than zero. After calling and being forwarded from one broker to another, i got a quote near 9 times higher. I do honestly believe that the broker was really trying to take advantage perhaps if my call got forwarded to someone else I may have received a quote for 4 or 5 times more.
No mortgage, no claims ever, no jewelry and asked for no more coverage in cash. After receiving the crazy quote by this sneaky salesman, I was told that there were a few things inaccurate about the online application. Really?? I said I had the print screen to show I answered the questions identically online to the questions over the phone.
Thanks very much for another online company who has our personal information we agreed to be shared (only way to proceed with the quote) and wasted our time and lied to.
This company is happy to sell your personal information, since that is what we had to agree to before they agreed that the quote was even a ballpark.

Please don't let the fake reviews change your opinion, its usually the common negative ones that truly reflect the truth.

What a mess. I've been using their services for few years and in done. At first quote was appealing so I decided to go for it. Every single year i get higher premium with extra features I've never asked for being told that i must have been informed because they wouldn't do that. Really?
This year they crossed the line with higher premium I've seen so far so I went elsewhere to get stuff insured. I was requested by kanetix to fill out cancellation forms and send them back, so I did. A week later I'm charged for new insurance anyway. Called ktx and was put on hold to find out if the girl I dealt with got all necessary information and forms. 2 minutes later I was told that everything is ok and it's processing thing going on and that I'll be refunded. Fair enough. 5 minutes later I get email from the girl i dealt with first time saying that she didn't receive my email with forms and to resend them. Seriously? Mind blowing. I don't want to deal with them ever again. The only good thing about those guys is online quote, service? Not so much

Well since posting my comments (below), Kanetix did respond by asking me to contact customer service so I have emailed a representative with my concern of the invalid Cineplex E-card but he HAS NOT responded. (Initial comments-Most people realize that insurance is an enormous business so it's nice to have this online service to get started on finding a better deal. I have also used other online insurance service so there's no shortage of assistance out there. Customer service was helpful enough but they will try to hook you by offering an electronic gift card. They did indeed email me with a Cineplex E-card but when I went to use it, the card WAS NOT valid. I call this a scam or at the very least misleading even fraudulent )

Total waste of time. Answer all the questions truthfully spent 3 hours on the phone over 3 different occasions. Dont waste your time because these people will waste yours. STAY AWAY

I entered all of my information into your system and got errors like "No quotes are available based on your current details." I don't understand how you can't find me insurance.

These guys never list quotes from RBC or ScotiaBank. After getting online quotes from Kanetix and I called RBC and ScotiaBank and they gave better rates than what Kanetix provided.

I don t usually leave reviews but I was so impressed with the lady I spoke to! So helpful and friendly !

Kanetix has been my go-to for travel insurance for years now. My partner and I have travelled all over Europe and the Middle East and have always felt safe knowing we were backed by Kanetix. Even recently when we were in Greece and had to make a last minute change to add in a trip to Tel Aviv, the staff at Kanetix helped me have everything resolved quickly, efficiently and completely. It's the only way I buy insurance when we leave Canada and with the travel we have planned in our future, looks like they'll be getting a lot more business from us!

Kanetix is great. I have used them before and once again will use their best rate insurance quotes to get lower rates. Yuri the agent I spoke to delivered the best customer service. So quick and easy to save money!

This website is more of a data collection and insurance broker referral scam now. The quotes provided on their website are almost entirely fake, especially the one that has a lock sign. Second year in a row, the website provides a quote and then you are forwarded a second layer of brokers who start all over again and give you a quote that is $1500 or $2000 more than what you were initially trapped in. Stay away!

Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend under any circumstances doing business with them. Days of unreturned calls and emails. Supervisor is a kid . Actually told me to go to another company. I really hope karma treats these people the way they treat potential customers.

Agent Celia was very accomodating! Made the engagement efficient and quick. Transfering me to the insurance agency concerned was quick as well and the receiving agent Nicole was equally great! Kudos!

Just cant get a hold of anyone.... been trying to talk to ktx insurance brokers and you can never reach them, I have sent emails, sent chat request and waited on hold for more then 3 hours more then once. Cant wait to fire them.

Unfortunately the estimate you gave me with SSQ at 56$/month was for my car is not correct. For the same plan they charge me 66$/ month.

When my current provider jacked up my rates by over $1500 yearly for no reason, I checked multiple websites including kanetix.ca. I found the lowest rate on Kanetix. Moreover, I'm paying at least 2K less than my previous rate. When I told the rep of my current provider of my savings, they said they would have done the same. Thanks Kanetix.

Used them years ago. Terrible customer service, hard to reach anybody (email or phone) and the whole experience was just aggravating.

Horrible waste of time! On hold for more than half an hour only to answer questions I d already answered online. Quote received on phone was more than online & then I was asked for an abstract from the US as we lived there for a few years. Very frustrating!

I have used Kanetix three times previously to obtain quotes on home and automobile insurance. Each and every time the quotes received are from $200 to $300 more than what I have received from contacting insurance companies or brokers.

This service is absolute rubbish! It does a disservice to people who are genuinely and honestly searching for quality information. Don't believe the hype, and don't waste your time looking for reliable information because you won't find it using this service.

The representative I spoke with was very patient and helpful with me. I will call back tomorrow to get a quote on house insurance and hopefully we can come together.

It's was simple. got a quote and saw I was overpaying by almost 1000 dollars. Called around, and got the deal they specified. With my savings I bought a new windshield. Couldn't be more pleased. I had no idea how much I was overpaying. Thanks so much.

Did the travel comparison. It literally breaks down what is included or not along with the rate, my rate for example was $20.86. You get connected to the actual insurance company and its actually over $100. Seriously...this is such a poor way to do business....misleading is never a good look.

False submission. When transfer to the Aviva insurer the price was $600 higher than their quote. I've waited 35min. on the phone before someone answer. After they transfered me to Aviva the representative asked me to answer all the questions that I had already submited to their website. Kanetix don't offer any support. Waste of time.

This is big scam, Over internet they offer me different price then actual from the broker. Never trust this company. The brokerage company is KTX Insurance . The person name is Rosy. They said the quote on website vs actual is different and the difference is $100/month. NEVER NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY. Keep in mind , insurance is a trust between the company and car owner. How can you trust this kind company. NEVER TAKE INSURANCE from these guys.

I was given a quote $1000 lower than my current insurer if 5 cars. So I cancelled my policy. After escalating I finally got a call back and was passed into someone else who informed me they couldn t match the price quoted but would be the same as the insurance I cancelled. I agreed to oroceed and heard nothing back for days. Numerous emails phone messages and finally I get a call back from yet another person. This person tells me that my $5000 quote will now be $9000!!!! I left my agent because of a misquote??? Now I m struggling to get insured. The service terrible misquoted me lied to me put me off. Terrible terrible service would not recommend to anyone so disappointing

I used to buy with Kanetix visitor insurances. I just get a quote with them and I made the call, then, they transferred me to Allianz Global Assistance ( not serious at all). The joke is Allianz Global Assistance gave the the double of the price for the policy. So, I hunted the price just to realize I was losing my time preciously.
I add the quote number and Allianz Global reference number: KV200212-3PCDN (kanetix) and 5283160 (Allianz..).
This is the end of my relationship with Kanetix :) and for sure my recommendations.

First call, got connected to SSQ but then got disconnected in 10 seconds. They didn t call me back. Claimed there was a power failure at their tower.
So I call back. This time, the SSQ agent did up my profile as if he didn t have all the info I punched into the Kanetix site. Sure enough, the price came out $200 more! I complained (loudly) and they re now recalculating .
Something is very wrong with the platform if this can happen. I am a VERY unhappy customer at the moment.

I have wasted a lot of time trying to see if this would work. I emailed and spoke Ryan Pellicciotta, Sales Broker for this company. He said we were good to go with the quote that he gave us after all the info we had given him. Then we called to wrap things up and he said that he still needed more information. So telling us we were good to go with that quote was a lie.

I was really hoping this site would work for us because we are paying way too much. I will have to see what other options are out there. Very time consuming and very disappointed.

It gives a quote rate based on main driver info only, no matter what you provide about the second one (student with G2 to say). When it comes to the real quote from insurer, the final price will shock you.

Although they weren't able to find me the cheapest rate (I don't blame them), I still strongly appreciated their customer service. The Kanetix rep whom I spoke with was kind and helpful. When the rep tried to connect me to the insurance agent, due to that insurance company being busy, I had to wait for some time. Now, what I appreciated during this wait was the fact that the Kanetix rep made sure to connect with me multiple times during the wait to let me know that he's still waiting for my line to connect with the insurance agent. I don't normally have a problem with long wait times as that's a normal thing in Canada (at least for me it has been), so i wasn't irritated at all, but the fact that the rep made sure to let me know that he was still waiting to connect me was really thoughtful. Which is why I am leaving this review :)

Arr just for the "fun" of it I used the Kanetix service and ended up saving over $200 on car insurance...now I am about to add my home insurance and save even MORE!!

Allstate refused to send me my insurance application through the current electronic system online. The tried to tell me that verbal confirmation of insurance would do over the phone.. Also tried to get me to go into their office and fill out an insurance application from the old electronic system to use shadow filing where old documents from the old system are used where your signature page is sent with different documents to the insurance company to raise your insurance rates. Stay clear of Allstate insurance and beware of Kanetix for allowing this to happen

Kanetix sends me reminder when my policy renewal is approaching every year. Their Quote system is very easy to use and most time it got pretty accurate estimate. I high recommend to use this check your option before renewing your policy.

Good service but quotes are often lower than what the insurance companies are actually offering in the end. Last time I used it an insurance agent told be that the quote was based on a 9 star rating (9 years of driving in Canada or US) and he had no idea why since all the information I provided said that I'd only been driving in Canada for 2 years.

Spent 20 minutes talking to them and they transferred me to TD insurance spoke to them for 40 minutes and lost contact twice. TD never called back either tines

They provide a good service, but not always the lowest. the quote I received was $300.00 + more than what I am currently paying.

The website will give you a price that is inaccurate once you get connected to the insurance company. The forms was filled out precisely with every single detail being true. The actual quote has doubled no matter how many times you try. Don't waste your time on this mess. If you have any tickets or at-fault accidents then definitely call a local broker.
