Chef Scott Guo who hosted us for the Valentine Day dinner at the Japanese restaurant was really amazing and accommodating. He made the experience at JW a memorable one for us. The property itself was beautiful as well. You also have Netflix in the room which is a big plus.

The restaurants within the hotel serve food and drink of incredible quality. Every single person on hotel staff, from front desk to maintenance, from servers to management have smiles and help to offer.

The grounds are simply gorgeous. With three swimming pools and a lagoon around the entire resort it is family friendly but, has a club and bars on campus to offer fun throughout the day and, after taking in the idyllic sunset, into the evening.

Very beautiful resort. Some areas currently under renovation but still clean and well kept. Would recommend visiting for drinks or hanging out. They also have boat rides in the evening.

First time for us on the Palm course but it was a long day. It looks so serene in the pictures but there was continual road noise and racket from the waterfalls and landscape equipment. Hopefully the adjacent Valley course will prove to be more enjoyable.

The pool area was out of control. People were grabbing more towels than they should and the staff was not monitoring it. By the time we came there were no clean towels and most of the benches were left empty, and again no staff was on sight to remove the used towels. Then when we grabbed some clean towels from another pool area, we were chased down by an employee who thought we were stealing them. I wish he would have replaced the towels at that speed instead.
They played their own music loudly and the base was ruining the relaxation for us. It would have been better to have no music or low volume chill lounge type of genre.
The bar area in the pool was closed early evening and most restaurants were not open for breakfast. There was only one breakfast place and the coffee was $5.00. It was either that or Starbucks inside the resort.
The structure inside is outdated and needs work. Some floor areas looked so overused that even if they are clean it would still look old.
We asked that they don't place us next to ice machine and we were placed exactly by the ice machine.

Really nice resort. Pool water is a bit cool for my taste but its not too bad. Drinks at pool bar are expensive as 2 drinks with tip with set you back $40. However they do not skimp on the alcohol and after 2 you are feeling good.

For being a Marriott, the renovated room we stayed in was ok. The fit and finish was to me, not up to the Marriott standards that you would expect for a $150+ a night room. The availability of the variety of restaurants is impressive and the gondola ride is a nice change of pace.

I had an excellent time. Relaxing great accomodations. Loved the aquafit session. The boat ride was free and had a second one for that price. The beds are comfortable and want to take it home. Stayed for three nights and didn't want to leave. The pool and jacusy are built for relaxation. Definitely a place to get away from the husle and busle. If you play golf the course looked good and lots of gentleman used it. Go and have some fun.

Every time I go to Palm Springs, I do my best to visit the Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa and enjoy a ride on one of their Lobby boats. This time was exceptional. My sister friends and I were treated to the best Lobby boat experience by captain Bryan. He played 60's music in the background and tooted the horn every time we shared a group laugh. He pointed out the Australian black swans and Texas geese. He even took us for a second ride around the lake, since no other riders were waiting at the time. Beautiful, relaxing, wonderful!!!

I am an Ambassador Elite and this is most probably the most underwhelming room I have ever stayed in. They said it was a suite but then I had a Murphy bed!! Dirty carpets as well!! The lady at the concierge was also not helpful.

We find a worm on the crab legs at lunch buffet but the manger got rid of the evidence and just said "it's never happened before, it's not worm". It's upsetting the manager didn't bother coming to talk to us but the server delivered the message. We felt like they were accusing us the whole time like we made it up but we had the worm right there. Not the kind of service you would expect for JW Marriott.

Saw two v large cockroaches on the hall way twice during a long week end stay. We used to come yearly. Excellent golf grounds, and very good breakfast . The tennis coach was superb.Too bad the room was not made when we rerurned at night. Worse, the front desk gentleman at 11:30 pm did not even acknowledge there was a problem , simply said , like a bargaining threat , as it was late in the evening, he could only offer a few towels, or nothing, take it, or not? Not even an apology offered. Not a word from the management so far. Nice work JW M! Need to clean up the cockroaches in the hall way and the night front desk.

Fairly clean room, friendly staff but completely useless shuttle service between the Jasmine Court building and main campus. Ended up waiting for the shuttle on 2 separate occasions and on both we were promised wait times of 5 minutes only to give up waiting for it 15 minutes later. The walk time was also advertised at 5 minutes but it's 1.7 miles and my fastest mile is 6.30 :-) with kids it took us 35 minutes... We'll not return here.
