Awesome outdoor and inside entertainment, fun venue. Wish they had cup holders, but who cares that they don't. With the atmosphere they have created, art, tons on convenient bathrooms, and great food options, this center is fun for any event!

Seats are uncomfortable! I am 5"3 and my knees were hitting the seat in front of us. I always felt like was going to fall going down the stairs. Never going back.
I went last week for the first time to a Sac Kings game. I was so impressed just image of the arena from the outside. Sacramento has always needed a mega hub downtown to attract more people and business. I can tell, this center will be a city hallmark for many years to come.
From the outside, the center is very visually appealing. This is like the first NBA stadium with solar panel roofing, that's so awesome. The contemporary design and architectural patterns the engineers created left me with my jaw on the ground. I can't even imagine what concerts would be like at this place.
When I went to the game the Kings ended up loosing which sucked, but the whole time at the game I was with my friends having a good time. The food and beverage selection in the stadium was perfect. All the vendors they had, were impressive with all the foods and drinks you could ever need or want, literally. Be careful with the R2D2 look a like robots that patrol the stadium, there considered a new "addition" to the security team.
It will definitely be interesting to see what happens in the future in downtown Sac. Who knows what kind of sports teams or other local events that could be hosted at the Golden 1 Center. The best part of going out for the night to the Kings games downtown, was having the easy ability to walk down the street to all the local bars and pubs in midtown. Epic night to say the least. Definitely check the arena out if you get the chance.
Beautiful facility. I'm a Lakers fan I was impressed. We parked on the street maybe three blocks away maybe 5 to 7 minutes to get to Golden One center easy walk and free parking it was a night game. Service was great many places to get a brew or food. People that received the tickets at the door a little stiff. No hi are are you doing. Just I need your tickets. Overall will go back.
Went to the Earth Wind and Fire concert. Concert was amazing. Very disappointed in the seating. Very cramped and very uncomfortable. Not much of a selection on beverages. Nothing but alcohol and soda being sold. Would of liked to see a coffee/tea bar with some kind of dessert being offered. Ice cream bar would of been nice as well. Not all patrons are alcohol drinkers.
Awesome place. Clean big and well lit. The big screen is awesome with incredible detail. And the sound system is top notch. We went for the sac state graduation. And it was great.
At the JoLo concert with my wife. Absolute joke of a venue.... it s like half of the sound system is not working..... can t understand one word or song being sung. Absolutely deplorable.
This was our first time to the Golden1 Center and we were both pleasantly surprised. There's plenty of restrooms and concessions spread throughout the Center. The wait wasn't very long during peak time (intercession during concert), superior to most other venues I've been to.
There's also a lot of historical Sacramento memorabilia and decor throughout the Center which made for a cool nostalgic experience for us old-time Sacramentans.
The one drawback we noted is that there is very little leg room. Think super-economy class on an airline. It wasn't much of a problem for me as I'm short (5'4"), and my husband (5"11) said he was also comfortable. But for someone who is long-legged, it may be an issue.
The King's one so that was great however the lower level seats were difficult to get to. The seats for a little more comfortable than the upper levels. The upper levels I felt as if I was going to fall all the way down to the bottom. But the lower-level I didn't have that feeling. Overall it was okay.
Great architecture, management is great. Really sets up Sacramento to be a powerhouse city by giving bragging rights to the citizens. Agriculture and technology, only in Sac baby!
For the amount of money spent I expected better. I was wary when I heard the upper seats didn t have cup holders to pack more people in. Having just attempted to sit in one of their seats I must say, I m disappointed. Anyone over 6 will have issues with these seats. They re wide enough, and the cushion isn t bad, but I literally didnt sit for more than 30 seconds before I realized if I stayed in my seat I wouldn t be able to walk after from bruised and dislocated kneecaps. Shame on you. It s a flipping basketball arena. Tall people are implied.
The arena that was going to be built in Seattle until the NBA screwed us again and wouldn't relocate the Kings to Seattle as the Sonics would have been a whole lot better right next to Qwest Field and Safeco Field.
Love the staff at the door, they pulled us out of the end of the line, when they noticed my wife had difficulty walking nd took us to the handicap entrance. For a 1st time visitor this was very enjoyable.
This place is a great venue. However, I don't appreciate paying $400 for my ticket to see Fleetwood Mac and then having to see security guards walking in front of me every 2 seconds. The security guards were completely overwhelming overbearing and not necessary. I felt very annoyed by their presence and I let them know that. They ruined my concert. I paid for great seats on the floor in the VIP section and what did I get? Security guards of all shapes and sizes walking by in troops. Horrible experience.
All of the staff I came across were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they seemed to care a lot about their jobs. Someone spilled their drink under my seat, and I asked a staff member if they could come clean it up. They gave a replacement drink to the girl who spilled theirs, and offered me and my friend a complementary water or soda voucher for reporting the spill. I think the G1 Center is going really far out of their way to make a good impression since it is new.
The seats up high on second level are dangerous! They are slanted straight down! No drink holders! Do not like the new center at all! Drinks are 16.00 dollars !
Basketball stadium of the Sacramento Kings. There is an NBA store where you can buy the uniforms of the Kings. Very close is Macys. A very nice place to walk. The transports of the city pass very close by.
