Great venue but parking sucks ass as you have to use street parking or rip off parking garages!!!

State of the art arena. Very awesome place for Kings games. Good selection of local vendors for food.
Great show, but...
Long lines to go through security to get in,
Uncomfortable seats, too narrow and not enough room between rows,
Long restroom lines at intermission,
Ripoff prices for parking, food, and souvenirs. Enough?
This is the view from section 217 row E. Really nice venue and it has a really nice sound system. Don't get discouraged by the really long lines outside, it goes by really fast. Would definitely come to another event at the Golden One Center.
Great concert venue. I had floor seats for Trans Siberian Orchestra whose performances was excellent!
There is not a lot of leg room I liked Arco go better
Golden 1 Center is a very good place to go and walk and look outside the building. If you're not fortunate enough to actually go inside sorry but it is awesome. I would rank it a little bit higher but security and staff can be a little rude and judgmental to some people. Don't ever judge a book by its cover.
This place it's great when to a kiss concert and PBR the one thing the beer it's to expensive $15 for a beer come on.
Very nice venue. Seats are comfortable and with a foot view.
State of the art electronic signs around arena, giant viewing screen to view up close of game, great restaurant choices of food...pricey for bottled water, $5. Clean bathrooms. Just very loud there. I agree with my first time friend visit. I use earplugs.
Beauiful outside decor, especially during the holiday season!
It's on the way to being a cool area. Just need to handle the transient and drug addict population. Way too many unsavory people around. Please Sacramento do what's good for the city and the residents. Stop turning blind eye to this very clear epidemic. Take a page from Mcgruff the crime dog " Say no to drugs".
What to say about Golden 1 golden one is the golden one it's a gold
Plenty of queue lines to make entry , with plenty of snack and drink carts. Never have to go far to find what you want. Helpful staff also
Went to see Janet Jackson. It was a very good experience!
First let me say Roger Waters was
"AWESOME"!!!! This is our big and beautiful Sports and entertainment arena. The concourse on all levels are clean, big and wide with lots of places to grab a quick bite, I will say they are a bit pricey but that's to be expected ! It's easy to get to and from by light rail, there's lots of restaurants bar-and-grills close by so there's no shortage of food. There's new Businesses opening on K street mall all the time so it can only get better ! What's not to like at Golden 1 center ???
Awesome indoor arena, it's not too big but it is only a few years old. Opened in 2016. I have been here for several events. The arena doesn't have parking so you usually have to pay at a nearby parking garage. Whenever there is events most nearby parking garages charge outrageous fees from $20-$30. Lots of public transportation nearby and great restaurants as well. One of the biggest issues around this arena are the homeless people downtown.
Great new arena. Love the Kings. Love the downtown location. Walking distance from bars & great night life.
Very clean, great options for food and drink and not a bad seat in the stadium.
Seats way to close together. We were on the end had to get up & go to aisle every time someone wanted out. Crazy
It was great. So many people but not one bit of violence. Everyone enjoying the basketball game. I was on the first date of many more to come...(I hope)
Parking was very confusing compared to Arco Arena , obviously since it's in the middle of downtown. But the arena is nice.
It is the largest auditorium in Sacramento as well as being centrally located and very well located
New stadium look amazing. My first time there was great
Love the new Golden one arena!
I'm not in love with the food though! That only gets two stars! They try and make everything gourmet even the pretzels and there terrible!
Be prepared for a long walk to and from your parking space
The most friendly staff for an event venue. Watch the Kings destroy their rivals, or see a concert.
Better place now then where it was. Right close to my work
Everything was new and clean, everyone was helpful and new where we were going.
Good concert venue, but be ready to shell out some serious cash for drinks.
Came here for the first time for the Roger Waters "Us & Them" Tour. I'm officially jealous. The San Diego Sports Arena needs to be torn down and rebuilt by the same people who built the Golden 1 Center!
Beautiful. it's huge. Very practical to go out and enter.
Went to watch KISS we had a great view, seemed no matter where anyone sat the stage was in clear sight
Great venue!!! Went to da Toby Mac concert there on Sunday. Awesome place
Every seat is a good seat. Easy to enjoy games and concerts from any level. They have good food and its easy to get in and out of with no trouble.
I have to say it's one of the most fabulous Arena in the world
Wonderful building. Went for a conference and had easy access for our breaks and lots of food venues to choose from
Very nice place. A must if you truly enjoy basketball
Just watched the Harlem Globetrotters at the Golden 1 Center. Excellent show. Venue was clean and parking was a breeze. Plenty of places to eat.
Awesome sound/view even if you get the cheap tickets at the top!
Feels dark compared to old arena due to seat coloring. Did not as good either so far.
As much as I really want to give the Golden 1 Center 5 stars, I just can't. Truthfully I shouldn't even be giving them 4 stars for this visit. 2 of those stars are specifically because we were there for WWE Smackdown Live. I've been to a fair share of different events at The G1C. Most without issue, aside from sticky shoes from spilled beverages in the stands. This event started off shortly after arriving when I was told by the usher for the next section that there was no usher in my area.
She said "there should be one , but sometimes they're just not there"
I have family that has ushered for our Sacramento Royalty since I was a child, spanning through the years at all 3 local arenas. Whether at G1C or any other business, that is not so you ever want to tell a patron. Had there been someone actually there ushering, maybe my kids wouldn't have had to deal with all of the racial idiocracies that were surrounding us during a particular match. Instead of having to watch it takes the excitement of the main event away from them.
And this next is a bit of a suggestion.
It might be wise to inform event goers of the exact shut down times for the food & concessions. Especially for those that purchase the refillable beverages. I know it was a week night and people want to go home. Nearly all were shut down close to an hour before the event ended. Might want to think about extending that. Especially when it's over 100 degrees out side. I truly hope the next trip there is better than this one.
I'd increase one more star if the grounds were maintained. I counted atleast 8 dead trees in the North east entrance alone. The restrooms are in need of serious work.
The air conditioning works very well
My first experience was okay. I think the food and beverage prices are ridiculously expensive!
I didn't like the fact that you had to queue up outside to enter the building. Even though there are a number of entrances it still took quite a while to actually get inside. I wouldn't have necessarily minded normally but it was rainy and windy. Wasn't really practical to have an umbrella up as you were so close to the people in the queue you would hit them with it.
The seating is ok, a bit snug. Very tight fit for tall people.
I did like how they recycled a number of neon signs that are historically significant to the Sacramento area.
Clean, nice, accessible. Just wish the food was a bit cheaper, and that you could at least bring your own water in.
Nice place. Good sound. I like all the exits, not everyone e trying to run for one door. Decent food. Not too expensive. I will be going there again.
The Golden 1 Center is one of the best things that has happened to Sacramento in a long time. The choice move the arena downtown was a brilliant decision. I feel the arena was the start of the the revitalization of downtown Sacramento. It has brought on so many positive changes in the downtown area and I see many more to come in the horizon. The new location is great for the locals and for those coming from out of town. Parking is very easy through apps or the links available on the Kings website. I usually reserve and prepay for parking. When you come to the arena the employees are always in a good mood and very polite. They make you feel like royalty which is befitting in the home of the Kings. The temperature in the arena is always perfect and seats are very comfortable. The selection and quality of food is awesome and of course they have a fabulous selection of adult beverages. Last time I was there I had an awesome strawberry margarita. It was from the can but the staff offered a huge cup of ice and pured it in which made it official! The technology in the arena is unbeatable especially when you combine with the Kings / Golden 1 app on your phone. The photos I uploaded are from several different visits since the opening.
Magnificent location for large groups. very well maintained, organized and home like atmosphere.
Went to the Panic concert here and loved it! Maybe more signs showing where VIP access next time but otherwise great.
Awesome arena! Sacramento could have used it for the 2000s Kings. Better late than never, I guess.
Had the worst experience here. Went for Kevin Hart show and the security's were terrible. They ejected a few people for no reason claiming they were spotted on their phones however they were not. Kevin Hart show had a no cell phone restriction. But you couldn't even look at your watch. Golden1 management didn't even have a courtesy to respond to inquiries/complaints.
Nice venue. Comfortable seats. Not a bad seat in the house. Lots of concessions so it minimizes the wait time. Prices are "venue typical" so bring your wallet. Minus one star because parking is a huge issue... not all garages accept arena parrking so wear comfortable shoes, bring extra money and get there early...perhaps an umbrella.
