Great sandwiches and meals such as the Blacksmith Skillet, Whiskey Steak Sandwich, Jester's Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and other great items we've enjoyed.

Very nicely appointed interior. Probably the most well done of the all the Lion & Rose locations. Fireplace and central bar at the entry with wood paneling throughout.

Ordered the fish and . . .macaroni; no charge for the substitution but wish I had gotten chips. Crispy plank of cod served with remoulade sauce and cheesy macaroni. Nothing wrong with that, right. Well, the fish was very good as usual, but the remoulade did not have its usual zip. It had a lackluster taste and a flavor of pimento cheese in the sauce. Not exactly my cup of tea as it tasted nothing like what I remember having at some of the other L&R locations . . . and they have no tartar sauce! Guess I will have to stick to the malt vinegar. The mac had a bacony flavor and lots of stringy cheddar cheese with a Guiness overtone. It really needed salt and again did not taste as good as what I had had previously.

Noted that prices have gone up on the two plank fish and chip plate, but is still reasonable for the $7.99 one plank lunch special. Liked the ambiance and the food overall, the remoulade and mac notwithstanding. Wait help had her game on!

Service was good as well as drinks. Food was fair.

First time visit and really, not bad. I enjoyed the atmosphere, it was clean and the staff was very friendly. I do reccomend the chips and Guinness queso. I ordered the Reuben burger with fried mushrooms. Delicious! Burger was juicy, the sauerkraut added a nice crunch. Definitely want to come back to try the scotch eggs.

The only one left in town.....miss the Blanco location.

British food... super good. Don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. There was quick and friendly service. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I loved.

I have to stay, we stopped off to watch a football game because our normal hangout was too full for comfort and we wanted outside seating. The staff was absolutely stellar and really accommodated our special requests. My only complaint, and it's enough for a star, is the price. Very expensive even though I realize it's in a very trendy spot.

Food was really good. Extreme slow speed of service makes us never want to return.

No prices for the beers, scotch flights on the menu. Bartender thought happy hour was only Monday through Friday. She check the menu to correct herself.
When I asked how much a flight was she just said "it depends on which scotch" I choose with no further guidance.
House Margarita was average. I can hardly wait for the amount in my bill!

Not sure I'd go here for a meal but it's a solid place to grab a beer. Generally pleasant service. Good European pub atmosphere (shout-out to the Crocketeers scarves on the wall... Go SAFC). The appetizers are pretty good and reasonably priced.

If I lived in San Antonio this would be a place I'd frequent often. Excellent English food, atmosphere, darts, and sports TV...cornhole too!

3rd Update update manager is super nice still closed tab but he addressed the situation directly Scotch eggs were fire wishwwish could've waited for more food everything just took too long need better service and will come back at a less busy time!! Money spot just gotta dial down on service PLEASE! Updated 2nd stop in terrible service didn't register our online reservation when we were seated it was outside in a corner where we were ignored by our server who took a smoke break instead of bringing our drinks OR checking on us or taking our order. We requested an inside table hrs in advance yet less than sub par on everything we expected. From 5 stars to 1 seriously dropped the ball guys. END OF UPDATE SUNDAY JULY 26TH 1st visit // servers were on point food phenomenal, innovative menu and atmosphere is very nice, will definitely be back this is the spot.

The shepherd's pie was out of this world. Best I have ever had. It blew my mind.

The food here is always amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. My favorite is the Guinness queso and the L & R garden salad. I only gave it 4 stars because the service was slow. For example, we needed silverware and eventually had to ask the hostess because our waitress never came around. Plus, for the majority of our visit, one of the other waitresses spent her time talking to one of the patrons. Thought that was somewhat unprofressional. I felt bad for any of her other customers.

we had our monthly San Antonio Nexion Travel Community meeting and the service and COVID19 prevention actions was outstanding.

Walked in and ordered a beer. Asked if their kitchen was still open. She grabs a chip stand slams it in front of me and walks off. Normally I would assume that she was busy on a Saturday night but the place had maybe 10 people in it. There is no excuse for that type of customer service in a dead bar. Won't be going back.

Attended a "pub crawl" in the restaurant"s double decker bus with the British Society of Texas. It was a lot of fun.

Shepherds pie and sausage on Tour of Britain had literally no flavor. The fish and chips was much better.

The atmosphere is great. They have a good Playlist. They have 99c mimosas on Sunday. My plate, the tour of Britain was OK, only drawbacks were the tomatoes and the green sauce that seemed to be some sort of celery mix.

We went in a sunday afternoon. Nice clean place. We had just the beer. It was quiet place but the staff was very hospitable. Plenty of Tvs for sports and they had traditional dart boards.

Very clean establishment, great drink selections, tasy food, and great service.

The fish & chips was delicious. As was the bread pudding. My only complaint was that the scotch egg was so good that I wish it came with two! I'll definitely be going back!

Warm pub atmosphere with great British Pub food. Service is a little off but it was a weekday.

Low quality watered down drinks. For some reason the bartender kept calling my boyfriend "babe" right in front of me. Very disrespectful and trashy if you ask me. I won't be back.

This is a nice L&R - it's not as dark as the others I've been to - more open with lighter furniture and lots of windows. Food is generally good, and service is good.

I went on a Thursday evening like at 6 and the place was pretty empty. The wings were dry, the Margaritas were good and on special apparently, but the lady at the bar was not very nice. I asked her if she had specials and she began to recite what they had really fast and with an attitude. Probably wont come back. The hostes kid was very nice tho. Am giving a star for the margarita and another for the hostes.

The food was very good. They also carry Lampoc which I love. Service was great.

British food, super yummy. two thumbs up for this place. the service here is better than most. it has a nice feel to it.

Double BLT with fries were delicious. So was the Big Ben Brownie and serve always checked on us.

I just want to start off by saying this establishment has terrible service. It takes about 30 minutes for a waitress to come and take your drink order, then another 30 to actually get the drinks. You can imagine how long it takes for the food. After waiting forever to receive my food, the side of mac & cheese that came with my meal arrived without any cheese. Just macaroni noodles with a pinch of shredded cheese on top. Absolutely disgusting. Unless you are coming to this restaurant to grab some drinks at the bar, I would sugggest you avoid this place. Terrible food and terrible service. It amazes me this place is still in business.

Everything was fine until we found a fly in our drink.

Service was terribly slow and the British theme is only skin deep (cosmetic). The servers all wear plaid skirts (Scottish?). Great cheap drink deals if that's what you're looking for, but I was hoping for some decent British fair.

Two out of three beers I requested were not available due to shortage or lack of attention. Food was fine but not impressive and I found myself eating as fast as possible in order to get out of there.

Just learned the owners fire anyone who tested positive for covid and don t follow proper guidelines for mitigating the Spread of covid. This is illegal and should be reported to the proper authorities. Proper guidelines must be followed otherwise they are responsible for possibly infecting countless others. Not to mention they just cut off the source of income for they re employees for something out of their control. Horrible people.

The food is great and drinks are good, around 5.95 for a blue moon and 7.95 for a Ballast Point Sculpin IPA. I just wish they had their drink prices on their menu, like many other restaurants at the Rim, but other than that its a great place to get British food!

They closed the one right around the corner and had to drive out to their other location. Food was good, but I couldn't have a Guiness with it (to far to drive home). Love bangers and mash and shepard's pie.

Beer was cold. Had the fish plate and that was good. Only complaint was that it was kinda warm inside. I looked for an ac vent to sit near to stay cool.

Great restaurant and location in the RIM. Good vibe with darts and other games available. Bartender was great and took good care of everyone sitting at the bar. Drinks and food came quickly. No complaints. Will be back.

Had a very large group there the other day and the accommodations were wonderful! I had notify the management in advance as to the large number of people. Food was absolutely delicious, ample wait staff, good management. Highly recommend
