A huge store with lots of brand under one roof. You can buy everything here and the quality is great. Home section is also of high quality and the choice is fantastic. Clothing, shoes, accessories, food everything is of high quality. Loved shopping here and bought many things from here.

Favourite shop - loyal customer for 50 years - my mother took me there!

If all the staff are as lovely as the lady that served me on the till, then I would gladly shop there again

Its just a shame that when you receive the delivery that its not as good as you would expect from a reputable company like John Lewis

I love this store each floor with its specialty home decor, beauty, multimedia, toys. We walked away with a cute Nikon business camera for the kids.

I tend to spend so long in this shop I go into a kind of haze - just goes to show the variety of stuff you can find in here! Not all is good quality - particularly around Christmas they have been known to ship in a few more variable items, but for larger home furnishings and wedding lists this is an excellent place. You will be able to do all of your Christmas shopping in one go here if you try.

Amazing! Been there since the dawn of time it seems, have everything you could think of. I love the Waitrose, downstairs shopping which has bit and bobs, perfect for gifts and the rooftop. Could easily spend a day there.

What can one say orher than life has certain benchmarks, and John Lewis is one of the best shops in the UK

The ground floor Perfume Department offers the worst customer service in Oxford Street! It's the third time (and last!) that I walk into this place looking to buy perfumes/eau de toilette for myself/family and I was appalled at the customer service I received. In all three occasions I was completely ignored for the first 5 minutes although there was plenty of available customer assistants around that could have offer to help. In one occasion I asked for help finding a sampler to be told that there was none by the manager/supervisor. To what I replied in a convivial manner: 'You might find it difficult to sell this perfume without a sampler.' The manager shrugged her shoulders and walked away! Very disappointing.

Garden terrace is a quiet oasis above Oxford Street.

This department store remains one of the most tried-and-true outlets in London and throughout the U.K. Their motto is that they are never knowingly undersold, and they mean it. There are always great bargains here, and they excel in homewares. Whatever you're looking for, ranging from Egyptian cotton towels to clothing and jewelry, you'll find it. The food hall has a growing reputation, but it doesn't quite match the one at Selfridges a little farther up Oxford Street. recommend to all friends

Generally a great shop, but appalled that they've now introduced automated checkouts in Waitrose - especially since they';re supposed to look after their workers, automated checkouts are rubbish anyway, and their absence was one of the reasons for shopping there. I'll think twice in future.

I enjoy going to john Lewis's, and always take my time going around. The staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable. I would recommend, you try the restaurant on the 5th floor. The food there is fab. Try the cafe's on the other floors as well. All in all, it's like a pleasant day out.

I rated it one star because there is no facility to rate it 0 stars. Last saturday, I went to the store in central London to buy a small lamp compatible with "Alexa", so I went to the lighting section, only to be left there waiting. No staff attending that section, no one to be seen. Finally, after 20min. apoxx. I left. Still no staff to be seen.
Has John Lewis lost their otherwise excellent customer service? This was certainly not excellent.

Good place for buying a large quantity of items, from housing to eletronics. It's crowded like any London magazine.

Very crowded and you need patience to wait to speak to staff. But they are honest about the products.

Surprisingly fun. Great shop with awesome displays. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Fun to visit with family.

Doesn't really stand out amongst the other large department stores in the surrounding area of Oxford st. (This is not a criticism to be fair they all have great customer service.) Decent toilets but they are at the back of the store on the 2nd floor. Everything is expensive but the sales and special offers can be very good. If you want to save time then browse online before going to the store.

Needed to get a new wallet and Lewis in the Mulberry section was absolutely fantastic! Thank you.

Gotta love John Lewis. Big store. Great customer service. Quality stuff and an amazing company. Slightly pricey but quality doesn't come cheap and it's worth it in the long run.
Best retail shop in the UK in my opinion.

Always a pleasure visiting or buying online from John Lewis departmental store Lonfon W1 and their satellite branch Peter Jones Sloane Sq SW3. Plus their inhouse cafes lovely too! Their staff very courtious and attentive+nothing is too much trouble.

The lady I got served by on the benefit stand was very nasty, defiantly wouldn't recommend going to that benefit stand especially being served by this employee!

Appreciate their assortment of different brands and the prices they maintain.

We went for afternoon tea in "The Place to Eat." The desert section had so many yummy choices! The server was helpful in identifying what each one was and shared her personal recommendation. I went with her favourite and was not disappointed! Mixed Berry Eaton Mess Cheesecake was divine! Topped off with a lovely pot of tea and my afternoon was perfect! John Lewis is the place to Eat!

Extremely slow and poor customer care. It took us two hours to have a broken mobile phone replaced. Customer care accused us of not having bought the phone there despite having the original box and receipt. We are not thieves ! Just very disapointed customers who wasted time to replace a damaged phone without receiving any compensation nor even an apology from John Lewis. They will never see me again !

Went while on Sale was over crowded and service was poor.

We came to this store to accompany a friend who moved to London. It is a perfect place to find all the necessary supplies. The staff is very patient in finding the right bed and mattress, all the furniture for your future living room and your kitchen.

Again I used to work here when I was 30-34 now 53yrs old so sometime ago and wow this store has changed so much I just wouldn't if recognised it. Not enough staff on the shop floor to assist customers, great choice of stock from competitively priced stock to designer brands something for everyone. I do think some of it's charm has gone with going so contemporary.

Think that this is probably the best of the John Lewis stores. Had a good stock and helpful assistants.

I visited the Beauty hall at John Lewis Oxford St earlier this month and was appalled by the standard of service that I received. I was standing and waiting for a lady to advise me as she stood there and just carried on gossiping on the shop floor about a member of staff. I then enquired her name and was told her name was Michelle who happened to be a sales Manager. To have a manager gossiping about members of staff and not giving their attention to customers is highly unacceptable.
John Lewis please sort your management out!

The best as always. Buying my stuff from here whenever item is available as their aftersale service is the best. Usually there are no issues as they sell reliable products but may there be then they will sort it out better than usual even the manufacturers themselves. 6* service

just this morning had breakfast here. Do not go, what a fiasco to get a vegetarian breakfast. Had to sit and eat it before I could pay because the till is not programmed for a vegetarian breakfast, which was cold by the time I sat down truly nasty disgusting food. Very poor John Lewis service.

Shopping center located on Oxford street, commercial heart of London. Extremely cared for, supplied, clean and with polite and helpful staff. Wide variety of product sectors: clothing, footwear, perfumery, furnishing accessories, technology, catering! Also equipped with a website for info and online purchases.
Highly recommended!

Look for electrical appliances such as TVs, headphones, computers, stereos and their accessories, and you're right here. Apple, Sony, and Samsung all have cabinets.

Store is good but they literally have staff crunch and expect customers to find people for help. Every floor that you step onto has a gatekeeper staff to welcome you, but no1 to help in finding the right stuff on the floor.

I had to wait for 45 minutes for buying a product and 30 min for returning another product.

Hire more people if you want to survive - Debenhams and h&m on oxford street definitely provide way better in customer experience.
