The initial purchase went smooth without any problems. It what happened the weeks to follow that was troublesome to us. They were having an issue with insurance verification & left voicemail. Tried to call 5 times & unable to get through to insurance department. Finally talked with someone that gave me email address to person that called to allow me to send info. Almost a week later received notice of insurance issue & car being at risk for repo. Called to follow up since I knew I had emailed info to find out that my email was still sitting in the email of J. Neal & no one had looked at it per D. Buffington. Was informed that some changes needed to be made to policy to support purchase requirements. This was on a Friday afternoon. Monday completed these changes & emailed to D. Buffington. Received a call from M. Means, insurance manager. Returned call & she answered the phone. Once I had stated my name & that I was returning call, she rudely stated I called both of you. Meaning me & my husband. My husband called almost 2 weeks ago to get purchase paperwork mailed to us & was told it would be in mail within the next day. He was informed after receiving a letter for us to pick up or have mailed that with us being local they don t mail & he would have to pick it up. He was informed that there were no notes in the computer to reflect this. So the concern is if you are going to have such strict requirements to risk repo then everyone needs to be doing their part & communicating in the office which was not happening with these 2 situations. Office staff needs to reflect more respect & better customer services. There is never an ok time to be rude & disrepectful.
Everyone who has been screwed over by this place, call the business bureau! This place is a joke , the original owner went to prison for ebzeelment , tells you a lot by that place . They will sell you cars that do not have titles , they sale cars that are not safe to operate on the road . They have 10 lawsuits pending against them . They really need to get straightening out!!!!
Josh Portugal sold us the 2007 lexus Ls460 and we are loving it and we will be back for another one. When we go look again.

This place is a rip off, they prey on people with little to no credit. They're like sharks with blood in the water at tax season. They will tell you anything on the phone to get you to come to them to only be told a different story. Their cars are garbage, high milage that are bought at auction by the trailer load. Save yourself the trouble and buy from a reputable dealer and stay away from this 2 bit group of legal thieves. Over half of the 5 star reviews are put up by employees as "Google user"

I think the intrest is too high however today i spoke with Sheena and I give her 5 stars! She was friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that. Noone wants to have to make payment arrangements but you really don't want to do it with a rude office assistant.

So we bought a car from here two years ago. You always have the fear that you will get a lemon when going to a used car dealership. This SUV has been a dream to drive around and has had no issues that aren't normal for it's age and mileage.
But today they earned the 5 stars. Before I was just a satisfied customer. Now I am a solid and convinced customer. The transmission on our SUV started going out last Sunday. We have been struggling to finance this unexpected cost and had run out of options. Finally I called JG just to see if we might be able to trade it in and just take the hit of the negative equity.
Their salesmen sent me to a service man who charges HALF of what a normal transmission shop would charge (this is not due to cheap materials but due to the amount of work that is done with the dealership, which gives them the ability to charge lower rates), and they tacked this additional charge onto my car payment. They will even send a truck and come and pick it up!
I am so pleased and will definitely be doing business with them whenever we need a new vehicle!

Although i loved my salesman but they tried to pocket the deductible from insurance and the lady dawn answer the phone from my salesman and she had the nerve to talk about my husband. They are a rip off and they price gouge. They wont even come down off the bikes that they leave out in the rain. Will never do business again with them Needless to say my husband got a awesome bike now and not from john gibbson. Note to women in the office stop talking about your customers and Because of this I will not refer anyone to gibbsons nor will I ever do business there again.let the men do the sales you just sit there and hand out the paperwork and take the money

High on monthly payment it take them long time to get vehicles ready. Also they won't help you make the payment where u can't afford them.also the salesman are so bad they said they will call you back if they get a vehicle you want inn. They never call you back they can't keep the promises.
Bought my RZR from here. And I ll be honest the experience was great on Facebook until I got there dealing with the salesman I did. Not everyone else s fault he lied to me about some stuff to the point where they were gonna come repo my rig! But they understood when I explained to them what the salesman told me at the time of purchase and they made it right. Above and beyond actually. Shena is very helpful and so are the owners. Great people. Great rig. Just an unfortunate event with the salesman. But I would definitely recommend these guys! They have it all and it s a seamless buying process.

Great selection of vehicles & ATV's. Customer service is good although busy. Every vehicle purchased from there has exceeded my expectations seeing how not 1 single vehicle has encountered any problems (knock on wood, lol). This even surprised me since they are sold 'as is' just like any other used car dealership. For the record, I've bought 6 vehicles from John Gibson over the course of past 18 years, so its safe to say this establishment has honest & good people that don't want to see anyone have a bad experience with any of their vehicles or ATVs. Keep up the 35+ years of great and successful work & shake all the haters off that are on here b/c at the end of the day, y'all are giving people like me a fair chance to get approved to then drive off in reliable vehicle while helping out our credit along the way as long. All you have to do people is hold our end of the bargain by paying on time as any other bill & keeping the insurance up to date on your ride so everyone is safe!
As for the customer service it is awesome fast and easy but the reason i gave three stars is bc since I ve got my suv I ve had nothing but issues with it and i just got it in August of this year first i had air conditioner issues within the first thirty days so it waS worked on several times during that month they finally fixed it and now that I m driving it all the time it s now idling hard so i call the dealership they are willing to fix it but i have to have it picked up and then keep it for a while my husband works on the road so he has our other vehicle which leaves me stranded with 5 kids and one that is a newborn And i live 20mins from town and have appointments for my kids and now i can t pick my kids up from school it s frustrating that i haven t even been able to drive this truck for a whole month without something going wrong oh yea and now the a/c is now blowing hot air just seems like one thing after another and I m stressed out hoping i don t get stranded on the side of the road the vehicles need to be looked at better before they are sold bc this is my only transportation and i still have to pay car payments even though i haven t even got to drive it consistently. Also the entertainment TVs in the back a main reason we chose this vehicle is not and has not worked at all i know it say as is no warranty but this is a lot of things wrong within a month in a half i just want to be able to get from point a to point b with out worrying all the time

I have to update. Sydney (the owner's daughter) got involved after seeing the review. She was very apologetic and promised to resolve the issue. She and Chris both worked very hard to complete what was promised.
I have bought a couple of cars from John Gibson in the past with no problem. This past February, I purchased a camper. During the purchase, we asked about new mattresses (there are 3) and the salesman told us he would get three new mattresses for us.
Not in the contract(my mistake) just a gentleman's handshake. When the camper was delivered, I discovered that a roof vent over one of the mattresses was missing and it had been raining through to the mattress. There is black mold on the mattress as well as the wooden bed frame. I texted our salesman to let him know about the missing vent cover and ask about the mattresses that were promised. The salesman said he would have a vent cover shipped to me (received in 3-4 days), but wasn't sure about the mattresses. So I have a moldy mattress. I have been working with someone else on that one because the salesman said mattresses was not going to happen. Again, just a gentleman's promise, but now I believe it was just to get us to sign. While testing everything after it was delivered, I discovered the electric water heater's control board was out and couldn't get any hot water. I let them know, but said I would pay for the part ($150) and make the repair if they would just replace the moldy mattress. Someone I have been working with, not sure of his name, found a replacement mattress,, but his supervisor said shipping was too much. Two month's later no mattress. On our first trip with it, I found that the black water tank was full (and everything was dry inside the tank). I had to clean the tank at the campsite.
Love the camper, but just wish someone would followup with promises that have been made. Probably my last visit.

The business office and call center try very hard to help manage your account after the sale. Calling in or coming by can help get you the information you need to make an educated purchase (and will help build credit score if done right). This team tries hard to ensure your purchase and future transactions go smoothly. You never know unless you call!!
