We had our annual family party there for the second year. Accessible, good food, great service. Thanks guys! Michael was our server and he was awesome.

Food is amazing. Courteous wait staff. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

The food was good and what you'd expect, but the service was inattentive and flat out ignored us. A nearby table was seated after my group and recieved their cocktail/beers before my table was even greeted with water. After numberous tries of trying to get the servers attention, she finally saw us (this wasn't a particularly busy time mind you) only to stop and chat with/hug/say goodbye to another co-worker ignoring us even further. 0/5 service, 4/5 food.

This is the third time I ve called in to make an order for pick up and nobody ever picks up. I literally call during a time it s not busy so there shouldn t be an excuse.

Terrible experience.

1. Ordered food and drinks
2. Waiter forgot about us
3. Had to request for an update twice on our food and drinks
4. Both our foods came out but still waiting on drinks to arrive.
5. Informed waiter and waiter was surprised ( almost like waiter was ignoring us after we called him)
6. Waiter was only friendly at start to introduce and end for when paying bill for tip
7. Did not serve water
8. Drinks were loaded with ice, one sip through straw finished the glass unfortunately and it was $8 each
9. Other waiters were approaching us asking if we were okay because we were looking around to get serviced

Overall not a good experience and would not come here again for any occasion.

My fellow Google local guides there are many other comparable food locations around with much greater service, save your time and money! :)

I started coming here a while ago every Sunday after a day of riding to relax after a week of work and coaching clients. And they have been an amazing group of staff to me since day 1! I have been visiting this location since they have opened. Great food, amazing experience and fantastic staff. Robin is an awesome manager on site.

How do you screw up French dip sandwich?? This was by far the worst French dip I've ever had. The meat was dry, bland and tough. It was barely warm. The worst part about it was the au jus, which typically is the best part about the sandwich was cold and equally bland as the meat. Overall would not recommend that especially for $18 I can get a better sandwich at Firehouse Subs for half the price.

Best ambiance in Markham! Friendly staff that is always smiling, nice variety of drinks, and delicious main courses. They even have power outlets if you need to finish some work while enjoying a drink or two! Definitely a favorite spot in the area.

Love the food, love the staff, love the restaurant. They always ask for any allergies/food restrictions and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy not just your food but your entire experience every single time you dine in.

Nice decor with a warm ambiance. Great place for dates. Open late compared to other restaurants nearby with full kitchen available. Went for a late dinner with a friend. Ordered the jambalaya and it was delicious. Portion was not large, but decent for a single person. A bit pricey.

Great food, friendly service, fairly consistent with the other Joey restaurants around.

Steaks are well made and juicy/tasty (not as good as Jacob & co of course). SUggest getting the mash potato that's wrapped with filo paper & backed (forgot what it's called, but it's delicious and they'll know what your'e talking about)

Experience here is usually pretty good. I only really eat the same thing everytime.

The tandoori flat bread is my go to meal

I let them know when I made the reservation that it was an anniversary.

Everything was done perfect by all the staff. From the greeting to the table location and service. We received some complimentary champagne and a hand made Happy Anniversary message board that looked great. The salmon and prime sirloin and presentation was perfect. My Old Fashion drink was one of the best I ve had. Well done!

Passed by at night after shopping at Walmart. It is my first trial. Very good price after 9pm, $4 for beer and $4 sushi cone.

The environment is modern and quiet. Will come back to try again.

I love this place. The steak and sushi is the best thing ever. Excellent as always. Can't get a bad meal here.

The food is great! The staff are very nice and we were messaged when our table was ready. The food did take some time though and it was very annoying when some staff were just not talking and not serving customers. But overall the food was great and the staff were friendly!

Very nice place with a nice atmosphere, the staff is efficient, the presentation of the dishes is admirable. It lacks a little choice of alcohol.

This is based on a single visit but I am definitely not going back for a second.

The food was actually pretty good but a bit pricey for what you get.

The service however is a different thing.

1. The waitress forgot about my beer. I had to ask for it again and it still took a while to get

2. The service was slow. I normally dont mind this but our plates were not cleared and we were not asked if we wanted anything else.

3. I had to go to the front and ask for my bill. 3 people tried to seat me thinking I just walked in. This also took longer than it should have.

In all I may have just had a bad waitress but the entire experience was bad enough that I doubt I'll give a second chance.

Quick edit: Went to the Sherway location a few days later and it was one of the best meals and dining experiences we have had in a while.

The food is hit and miss here and servers are either great or will not check on you at all. The atmosphere is great and a wonderful for evening or lunch.

I love going to Joey's Markville! I've been to a few locations and this one is by far the best experience I have consistently. I really enjoy the food options, sliders and some pressed sushi is a great way to start the evening off. I have yet to be disappointed from any of their mains and the drinks are on point. Shout out to all the servers, they're always doing a great job, very attentive but not to the point where it feels too much. And a special shout out to Robin (I hope that's the correct spelling) amazing manager, whenever I go and she's in, a great time is guaranteed! Can't wait to get back there.

The food was interesting and more varied than Kelsey s and Moxies. Price is similar which was good considering the more chic atmosphere and decor. The staff were were excellent.

Delicious food, great service! Our waitress was super friendly and recommended items to our liking. When customers had to wait an extended period of time, staff brought out appetizers to sample while they waited.

I go to this lovely place several times. Everytime it's a fantastic feeling of a warm welcome and excellent customer service from Melody, Ron, Michael, and others, makes me come back for more. Great ambience. Love the food and the happy hours menu with some sushi and wine..

Let me start by saying the food is fantastic as always. However the service today was the worst I have ever seen. The wait staff had told us there would be a 30 minute wait and we ended up waiting for an hour and a half. We were told that we were second on the list and watched as 6 groups were sent before us. There were four free tables and they hadn t been cleaned in over 10 minutes. Terrible service.

Good food and nice staff but definitely overpriced for what you get sometimes aka the surf and turf!

Except for appetizers, food wasn t good, and drinks took about 20 minutes to be served.

I have reviewed this Joeys before and I did not give so many stars. I did return and dinned there again. I always had an issue with service and the food. This time we had Barrington, he was a very nice guy. Tried super hard to please us. Really appreciated it. We had 3 appetizers and drinks. The food is better than I remembered. Over all nice place to just hang out.

Fast service, tasty food, had the hand pressed burger with cheddar and bacon, exceptional quality!

The herb crushed salmon was cooked to perfection, substituted the crispy mashed potato with rice, perfect meal!

Waitress was too quick in walking away from our table, multiple times, which did not allow my guest time to request other things.

I expect good quality food even if i order take out. Ordered a medium rare steak and received it rare.

Service Good ....Taste good ....comfortable...recommend

Friendly and efficient staff, energetic atmosphere, tasty (if somewhat unimaginative) food at a reasonable price. Recommended.

I like this place- really a nice restaurant and the service is quite attentive.
The chicken Parmesan is very good. Ambiance is nice also and they have a happy hour for discounted food if you come early for dinner hour.
Normally chain restaurants don t rate quite as high in my book but this place does things well and deserves a good review. Come for a nice dinner out.

I placed an order for take out and when I arrived the the two protein burgers had been entered as veggie burgers. It happen. It was a super busy time of year. Without asking or so much as complaining they fixed the order immediately and then comped the two burgers. That customer service alone will keep me coming back here!!

Food good, service not up to par (inexperienced staff).

Wife wanted to try this place for our anniversary so I called mid-afternoon the day before for reservation. The first call ringed for 10 times, and went to voice mail. The second call 1/2 hour later was answered after 4 rings. I was then put on hold for 9 minutes (I have a timer on my phone) before she came back to take my reservation. She asked about the occasion so I told her.
We arrived right on time. The hostesses were seating a family pushing a HUGE baby pram in the first booth behind the reception kiosk. It was then they realized the pram would block the walkway, so they moved the family to another area. Then they put us right behind the kiosk, although there is a more private booth at the end of the row. So much for a quiet romantic anniversary dinner!
We waited 5 minutes before the first waitress came to take drinks order. It was two more trips back to confirm what we wanted before we got the drinks. Later she took our food order, I ordered the Prime Sirloin. She asked if I wanted asparagus or seasonal vegetables. I picked seasonal vegetables. She never asked how I want it done. 5 minutes later, she came back to ask how I wanted my steak done. My steak arrived with asparagus instead, but I was OK with it, although asparagus were slightly undercooked. The steak was precisely medium rare. She forgot to give me a steak knife but it wasn't required. The mashed potato fried in spring roll wrapping was excellent. Wife's salmon was very good as well. Halfway through our main, a never seen before waitress came by to ask how things were. She served us rest of the meal. We never saw the first waitress again. Molten chocolate cake dessert was good as well.
None of the staff mentioned anything about our anniversary, I guess the information I gave in the phone call wasn't looked at.

Food is amazing, as well as the service. If you purchase drinks they will always refill the drinks for you without you ever asking. The food is high quality and the mood is very lively. Overall the at atmosphere is great and good for having a nice meal

Any of the JOEY locations are actually great. Friendly staff, great food, and great atmosphere. Personal favourites are: Baja Fish tacos, Pesto Shrimp Flatbread, Calamari Fritti, Yellowfin Tuna Salad, and Hand-Pressed Burger (must add Cheddar & Bacon)

I like this place. I know it is a chain but the food is good and the staff are excellent. Also the decor is modern but warm.

Service was not on par from what I have come to expect from Joey's. We waited close to an hour at our table for the waitress to serve us. And once we placed our orders it took another 45 minutes to get our appetizers. I typically really enjoy Joey's, however a poor experience this time. Possibly just a one-off. 3*

UPDATE: Impressed how Joey's prioritizes feedback and takes it seriously to align with their goal to deliver great food, drinks and service.

Sorry but it was the worst butter chicken ever. My son barely touched his bowl. I tried it and now I don t feel well.

Very classy place. Great food and drink section! A little pricey but the you get what you pay for.

I could eat Joey's friend mash potatoes every day of the week and still want more. Great steak, good salads, always busy and no reservation son Friday's or Saturday's so go early. The Don Mills location has a great roof top patio!

They make you wait for at least 45 minutes even though they have empty seats. The staff at the front are chatting together instead of actually helping people sit. When we entered the restaurant there were two empty tables (look at the pic I took). After exactly 45 min, while those tables were still empty, they assigned us to one of them. The table was empty for the entire 45 minutes, they just don't care to seat you.

Great food. Sone of the worst service I've ever experienced.

Never been a fan of Joey's. Tried most of them and all are the same. The food has always had something missing. Only went here because I was invited for an event otherwise I would never go.

My best friend Lina and I frequent this restaurant, as it s our meet up spot. The food is great, the staff is wonderful and certain girls know us and greet us by name, making us feel very welcomed. Thanks Vivian and Mariam!

great chicken sandwich and nice place to come hang out when you don't want to go downtown.

Service goes downhill real fast even if it's just a bit busy. Had the butter chicken, obviously not expecting anything special but tasted like microwave dinner. Naan was good though.

Absolutely no customer services with Thanksgiving dinner tonight. The waitress (Jessica ) is byfar the worst one I have encountered in this location. The food was not done right but unfortunately no one cares to check if our food was okay!

The food is unique and satisfying. There are vegetarian and gluten-free options available. During peak hours, I was denied a reservation and told there would be a thirty minute wait, but it wasn't actually that busy when I arrived.

Awesome place with great atmosphere! Food was delish and the service was great. I made the reservation on google directly and the staff texted to confirm my reservation the day of. Will be back

Joey's is always the go-to spot; great atmosphere, amazing staff, and excellent food! I usually visit twice a week and I never leave disappointed!
